Ok so my final journal design is complete just need to fix a few tweaks. What do you guys and girls think?. I had to get my two Favourite Characters in the world in it so if your wondering why, thatÂs why ^_^. I know I said in my last journal that myself and Alexei was going to do it together. Well I left it all up to him to do it. Well I actually 'told' him to do it but in a nice way so............Thanks dude. Lets just say you owe me 3 more fav's ^^.

Contest Time:
Hey Guys, how bout a contest?
Your Job will be to make a Space image.
The theme of the contest is: New.
ThatÂs it; it can be anything as long as itÂs fresh and original and in the genre of space art. A planet made of cheese for instance? Two planets merging like cells? Maybe Cybertron (I might do that)

The newer the better.

We have two judges,

and we will be looking for the following criteria:

1. Originality
2. Picture quality
3. New and exciting

There will be 3 winners i.e. 1st, 2nd and 3rd, and all will receive the .psd of Terminal Velocity

(We are also in the process in trying to get a hold of some subscriptions to better the prizes, maybe 1st gets the .psd and a 1 year subscription, 2nd gets the .psd and a 3 Month subscription and 3rd gets the .psd and a 1 month We will update this as soon as we know what we have to offer)

We are allowing this to help fellow upcoming artist to see how Alexei makes his crazy looking pictures in Photoshop. We hope that the .psd you'll see helps see what tricks he uses and how he makes some of his features. Hopefully it will teach you some new things and show you some new directions.

The deadline for the completion is September 1st.

We hope to somehow increase the awareness that space art can be original and not a clichÃ©, now go do some art and make your brains run free.

My latest piece which I have been working on for quite a while now on and off is coming along very nicely and should be ready sometime today but at the latestÂs tomorrow. (I hope it becomes a DD)
I have given exclusive previews to some close DA artist and all responses have been very pleasing and good so I hope most of you like. I would give you lot a preview but that would be nice and spoil the fun.

Although quite a few people have already noticed the change but i and Alexei is in the process of making a new CSS design which is going to include two things Master Chief and Optimus Prime but keep the professional feel.

Just though I would inform every one of my watchers and passer's by that I am going on holiday in about 16 Hours so I thought I would say chow for now for a week as I am back on the 14th (I think anyway). To be honest I am not even sure were we are going I am just getting on a plane and pack sunny so I am a little lost.

Hey just thought I would update my journal after a month

. Quite a few things have been happening lately but I shall tell them another time. But I must say to everyone that if you are looking to get an mp3 player that you should look into getting the new Microsoft Zune which is sooooooo much better then an ipod but what isnÂt ^_^.

Anyway enough of that I am in need of some help. I am in the process in trying to make a new journal but I have no time in making a sophisticated professional one so if anyone is willing then I would appreciate that a lot. I would be happy to put your name on the journal so everyone knows you created it and a link as well to your webpage.........speaking of WebPages I am trying to start to get a more professional look and with that comes my own website which again I need some assistances o. I know how to do conventional http but i want a more modern look maybe with Flash or php. Again I will place your logo or name or what ever you like so everyone knows you made it. Hi, I apologise deeply for the late reply but I have been having internet troubles (switching provides etc) and also try to figure out who should be taught. Well me and alexei could just pick 1 person because there are a lot of people who want to learn however we have nailed it down to 3 lucky people who will either be taught be me or alexie separately and also together. Now because alexei hasnÂt decided who he wants to teach we only have 2 of the 3 winners so sorry about that again. Hey just thought I would make an announcement that applicants only have 5 days left until we close the 'competition' and start to wean our way through the applications to pick someone. There may be a few little surprises we announce but all is not final so get applying and spread the word.

I Have decided that after my university year which finishes early may that I am willing to take a 'Student' who wants to learn how to create Celestial art to a photorealistic state and can then do what ever they want with it. The guys who will be teaching you will be myself and my good friend

so we can probably teach you all you need to know about celestial art.

A little bit about the teachers:
Ok well there will be 2 teachers who can teach basic, intermediate and advanced techniques to give a larger range of skills.

A bit about Alex (aka Sphereuk) : Well I am 19 years old and have been using Photoshop for about 6 years now and I have also been using 3D Max for 4-5 years which helps in some cases but not often. My main passion is to animate but I still love to design. I teach Photoshop at university and I also help out teaching 3D Max on the internet and Uni too. I have already had one 'Student' who has become Very successful and he will also be teaching alongside me.

A bit about Alexei (aka Nameless-Designer): I am 18 years old and I have been passionate about graphics since my childhood and used Photoshop for around 3 years now, 2 of which were intensively used for the genre of Celestial art. I also work with cinema 4d and have basic modelling skills and texturing skills which help a lot sometimes for various techniques. I have also had the honour to have one of my pieces in ImagineFX showing the best of whats out there. I really enjoy space art and hope to help people who need assistance understanding some thing.

So what are we looking for:
well now we have told you a bit about ourselves we now need a student. The kind of person we are looking for is a student who has strong designing skills as well as imagination; those are the key aspects for this kind of work. We would also like them to have basic Photoshop skills and maybe 3D skills (not important though) just so it will make us easy to teach. We would also like to state that about 80% of this project is your own work. we will just be there to help you develop your skills as well as give you some ideas about how to do stuff so we wont be spoon feeding you

. The best way about doing this is finding your own style so that is exactly how we will be teaching.

How do we pick the lucky one:
Ok we need to get to know you a little, and we wouldnt mind seeing your must recent space piece as well which can help us see where you are already. Sending us a note would probably be best so send me a note explaining why you would like to become a space artist and a link to your most recent piece and we will discuss who we think deserves it most.
This project is perfect for a person who wishes to go into graphical design because you will learn ALOT of different techniques so if you want a head start then please apply but this project will probably be quite a long one because you have to learn and develop your skills. You wont become good over night so please only the dedicated should apply.

Also could you please spread the word about the project so there is a wide range of applicants. Maybe put it in a journal or other ways. Any help would be much appreciated

. I am stuck under 4 assignments for uni which isnt hard but extremely LONG, I am also waiting for a job opportunity which has gotten me very excited so I really hope I get it *cross's Fingers*. Hey guys and girls. I havent updated in AGES but a lot has been going on. So lets get down to why

.

First of all was my birthday on Feb 23rd. I didnt really do much so it was a nice chilled out weekend apart from going to the dog races which was sooooo much fun. I mainly got money which I will probably use to get a Blu-Ray Player and my HD player. I also recently purchased Windows Vista Ultimate which in one word is 'Awesome' I havent had any problems which is nice and also all the little features are kind of cool. Like the Side Bar which has loads of downloadable programs which can watch and monitor my computer weather etc.

Secondly I havent been releasing many pictures lately which is annoying both for me and you, but I am trying to get all my assignments out of the way so I can start to make some pictures. If some of you are wondering on what they are then I ill explain:
1. 3D flythrough of an environment
2. Model and animate 3 creatures in there nature environment
3. Make a Level using the HL2 engine 'Hammer'
4. Do all the designing aspects of a level and game.

The first 2 are fun but the second 2 are really boring but you got to take the good with the bad so i dot mind.

As a side note, if anyone is a Transformers fan and dont hide it because ALOT of people do. There are is a selection of artists who are REALLY talented, I have decided when ever I make a new journal a will feature a TF artist whos work I realy like. This weeks artist goes by the name

or 'Makotron'. I Love all of his work and I really want a few pieces of my 2 favourite Autobots...Optimus Prime and Jetfire. Bellow is a selection of my favourites so go have a look. Even if you dot like TF go and have a look anyway.

Hello again sorry I havent been around a lot lately but I have been extremely busy on a lot of different important things but I wont bore you with all of them but I will tell you the most exciting ones. But before I do, I would like to hope everyone had a good Christmas and also a good New Years, even though this was nearly a month ago

Ok now to the fun part. First of all I for the first time in my life actually one something and I still cant believe it. I, about a month ago entered a Halo 3 competition to be one of the first people to play Halo 3 and to play before everyone else. Anyway I got an e-mail through from the website saying I have been a successful winner of 3 rounds and has secured a place on the excusive Halo 3 server, I still cant believe this..........I know =Nameless-Designer will be livid and will hate me but I will send him images haha. So in a few weeks time I will be playing Halo 3. It still hasnt sunken in to be honest

.

Secondly I have been sorting out university as I may be changing to Bristol however it is not a certainty as of yet but I do think it is the best thing to do but I am still leaving my options opening by applying to 3D designer or CGI companies as I do think I should be doing this probably because I will learn more but we shall see

.

And the last thing which I must all tell yawl about even if you know, 'A TRANSFORMERS MOVIE IS COMING OUT' Im sorry for the caps but you have no idea how excited I am as I have been into transformers since I was 6ish sooooooo about 12 years and the trailer looks insane. If you havent yet seen it then I would highly recommend it, ill even provide a link [link], go give it a look-see. This also means that new toys will be coming out so I can collect them to along side my others

Hey Guys and Gals, I HAVE FINISHED MY FIRST SEMESTER AT UNI!!

oh and I must say I have had sooo many good times already. It is very nice to be home for Christmas to see family and things so I did look forward to that but ill be back there soon, however leading up to the break I did only have 30 hours sleep last week which was funny in a strange way but I didnt mind, well I did but didnt...long story ^_^. Lets just say i was like this at the end

.

The break also means that I have allll my assignments done, they were quite interesting but Unreal ED SUCKS, I cant stand it and deleted it as soon as possible. As you may have found out already I have submitted some work..............yes I actually did for a change. It is my 3D applications assignments work so go check it out and see what you think, there are still a few things which need to be sorted out mainly the tree but Im not too bothered at the moment. I should also be submitting another piece which is space art for the Terraspace pack, going to finish it hopefully in a few days which is looking very nice like I said in the last journal.

I think thats your look for this week, oh and by the way if you havent seen over the hedge...See it I couldnt stop laughing at the squirrel. Anywayyyyy have fun doing holiday stuff, probably mainly drinking but still have fun haha. Ok now I am off now to play Hours and hours worth of Xbox Live so thanks for the read

Hello again, just thought a nice update would be appropriate as I have a few little things which are coming along really nice. The first thing is that my Game level design assignment is about 95% finished which is soooo cool because it is fully working and all I have to do is some final tweaks to make it extra cool. I mean its not Halo or Gears of war but for my first attempt its kind of cool

. The other assignments are also coming along quite nicely but my Game document is very very annoying because every time I start doing it I have a power cut or my Laptop shuts down or it doesnt save properly so that is starting to tick me of

Ok and onto the graphics points, I havent really done a lot because I have been focusing on my assignments more then anything but I must say it is looking very nice indeed. Nothing to what I have done before so its kind of strange hence Im taking my time over it just to get it right.

Oh and i know this is random but the Wii (new Nintendo Console) comes out on the 8th and i am looking so forward to many many hours of laughter because I know it will be exactly that. I am still loyal to my Xbox 360 (my baby) but the Wii is so different and fun so kind of looking forward to that as well

Hey there, a few little updates which may excite some people, mainly the guys who are watching me. I bet you have been saying to yourself 'when is he making another piece' well I am pleased to inform you that I am working on one for the ~TerraSpace Pack with

. He has ripped up a very sexy terragen scene for me and I am planning on doing my part which is still in the process, but I must say it is looking very nice already. . .I may or may not put a teaser up but it depends if I am being nice that day

. Oh dont worry to the people I am dedicated some to, I am still working on them

Another thing which is moving along nicely is my assessment work pieces for university which has to be done/completed in 4 weeks, one of them is making a Game level in Unreal ED, the second is making my own room in 3D max (it will hopefully be photorealistic) I have to do a Game documentation on any game of my choice, the obvious game has to be Halo so Im doing that haha and the last is making a film strip with the information we captured during motion capture which I must say was soooooooo fun.

Ok and on another note, I kind of said something to a girl who I really like which more then likely doesnt like me anymore. I still hate myself for saying it, I was a complete B******D and I really hope that she forgives me. Oh and I am sorry I didnt speak to you yesterday, I was still annoyed with myself :angry:

Hello again, I thought ass I done two in such a short time I dont do one for a while so if your wondering why I havent that is the reason

. Anyway I have been quite busy in a way but it might not seem to busy but I havent stopped really.

I have been teaching one of my good friends Photoshop which is going nicely as hes progressing well, I am considering weather or not I should start up a society for people who need some help with Photoshop at my uni so that might be kind of fun.

I also went to Alton towers the last night it is open this year and I must say it is awesome because they put tones of stuff on plus its open to 10 at night so rides at night are very fun. I only got wet once when I went on Ripsaw which is soo fun, but I loved all of them. If you live in the UK and you havent been then you must go if you havent, oh and Rachel dont worry we are defiantly going

Uni is going sooooo fun, it is our turn to do the motion capture next week and I might go in the suit so that will be quite fun, actually it will be VERY fun, 3D applications lectures are insanely easy so I fall asleep sometimes, but I am finding Game engines and physics lectures quite fun. This year is going to be quite easy so I am going to be bored quite a lot I reckon, at the moment I only have 2 days of lectures so meh lol boring.

Well I have to go to bed because I have work tomorrow so Im signing out.

Hello again, I know I have never actually written a two journals in 2 days before but I really want to try my new CCS abilities which

Well as the above says I will be making a few Spaces capes here and there just to keep all my space scene fans happy and also to give me a chance to change scenery from 3D Max. Hello watchers and passer's by, I am now reporting live from my university room (Staffordshire University) and I must say it is quite a change from what I am used to, but it is a good change.

As some of you have noticed my subscription has ran out again and I would love to thank everyone who has got me one. I will be planning on dedicating a space art piece yes thats right a space art piece to those very kind people. I know my journal looks VERY boring but my art isnt so stick around.

So what has been happening..........................quite a few things actually, first thing is that I think my art is become good enough to maybe start selling it, I am still looking into that so you may see some of my work soon which isnt on DA. Oh and on that note, it is still in major development but myself and =Nameless-Designer will be working on a DVD on the basics of Photoshop i.e. the basic interface, but what we will be really teaching is the different techniques on how to create Realistic Space scenes which should be quite fun too make.

Another thing which is going on is I will be trying to organise a 2 Month Trip to Canada, I dont really want to have any route to take I just want to go were i feel like which I really hope will be fun, I am still trying to get =Sweetheart-Hikari to come all the way with me but she has to work so I will be alone for some of it (i better start asking people

). I am really excited because to be honest I hate the UK, sorry but I just dont like it and I really do think Canada is one of the nicest looking (scenery wise) to go to. I am into that kind of stuff so

Ok and probably the last thing which has happened is that I have decided that the place I want to work is for Disney. I know that is a long way away but I do have to start thinking now about that stuff so I can work at becoming one of the 'top' people as its said so I can get a job there.

Hello again folks, you would have had a journal to read a few days ago but just as I finished I pushed back for some stupid reason and all my writing was lost so I was a 'little' angry

. But I do have quite a few little bits and bobs to tell you this week.

First of is probably the coolest thing you will see this year if not defiantly todays coolest thing. They are called Qrio's and they are the most advanced robots on the earth. They are developed by Sony (who else) and come at a hefty price of $50000, which is ALOT but I would get one if I had the money (well I would get 4). Ok to the next thing, I am officially Broke lol, I just spent all of my money on computer parts for my brand new computer I am building myself but now I am annoyed and heres why. I have been waiting for the Battlefield 2142 Beta since I heard about it way back in February but in order to play it you have to be a fileplanet subscriber..............see my dilemma lol. So I know this is a long shot but if anyone has a fileplanet account but hates the Battlefield series then I would actually love you if I could get a copy to play

. No harm in asking but I know my chances are slim. I would buy myself one but I just spent over £1500 (my student overdraft lol) on my PC so....................ya lol.

OMG OMG OMG sorry if I get tooooooooooo excited but I just got my results today and it looks like I am off to university, thats right uni

in about a month. You have no idea how excited I am and plus I am getting closer to one of my Big aims in life so things are moving along nicely

. Did anyone else get there results back and how did you do?

Oh and on a side note, my 3D modelling is coming along nicely, at the moment i am actually modelling one of my favourite cars.................the 'Enzo' Ferrari. I should be able to render this one because there are more flat surfaces which results in lower polygons so

Hi guys I have been thinking long and hard on were I am heading in life, and I have come up with what I really want to do instead of games design. So I am afraid that I am giving up space art, Im sorry but if I intended to work for the company of my dreams I need to dedicate 1000% on 3D Studio Max work, so no more space art from now chums all you will be seeing from me from now on is 3d work, and on that note I am going to be ordering my sexy 3D max 8 software this week which is sooooooooo exciting because there are so many new features I have been reading about

. I might do a few collabs here and there of space art but dont expect me to.

I am anticipating that some watchers will be un-watching me but for those who stay, lets just say that I have been doing 3D work for 3 years now so you should be seeing some very polished scenes coming from me from now on. I am in the process of making a car so ill keep you up to date with my progress and all along with some screen shots

. I am at the moment just trying out new rendering scenes and lighting so i have submitted a very basic scene but with very advanced rendering system so tell me what you think

.

Anyway on a brighter note, I went and saw the new Pixar movie 'Cars' and I absolutely loved it, everything in it is very very detailed and an excellent storyline helps this movie come to life. I would recommend this movie to anyone. It is probably one of my all time favourites, I know it has just come out but I just love everything about this movie so go give it a watch and tell me what you think.

Hey Guys and girls, just thought i would update you all on whats happening and also to chose another featured deviant, I will try to write one every Monday so they can have a week of stardom .
I have been quite busy with work and playing loads of games lol, yes I know but hey I love games. I have been playing allot of EVE Online and for many of those who dont know what that is here is a link , check it out and maybe your like it, [link] I have also been trying to complete Chrome hounds (Xbox 360 Game) so I can be ready to play Prey which I must say looks awesome.

I have also been busy visiting relatives and also doing allot more hours at work so I can have some money for uni. I have also been chatting to ~BPauba and =Burning-Liquid because we have organised a piece for the War pack for ~TerraSpace and I must say we havent really started yet but it is sounding awesome. Cant wait to see the finished produced, I might be realising some pieces soon but I am trying to get into matte painting so it depends how things go.

Oh and on another note, I have put 5 prints up for sale with the highest quality. I have already sold one thanks to :devwalfprincess:. If you want a print of any of my pieces and it isnt up just give me a note and ill increase the detail on that picture so it will be a sexy print.

I also have my new 'baby' as it was.................my new Wacom Intuos 3 A5 Wide graphics tablet which came today, omg it soooooooooo cool

. and also a 12" Master chief from the game Halo 2 is on its way to my house, this is such a cool statue and very very rare, I think there is only a few in the world like 20 or so, not sure but they are very rare...............and I have one

Sorry for the excitement but I am really excited to do some more art, so ill be submitting a new piece in a few days maybe so keep and eye out

ok so loads of things have been happening and are going to happen so you better watch out let me start with going:

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO for the DD for my collab with Infernall I do feel really bad because he doesnt receive anything so please go give him a watch

I was utterly surprised because I logged on to my account and behold there was 78 comments..............yes 78.........I answered them all which took me an hour or so but my theory is if people can take the time to write them.......so can i so thanks for all the lovely comments and welcome to all the new watchers

second happening is that out of my 17 exams I have only got 4........yes 4 left, and after those 4 I am going to chill until I can chill no more

. I dont know I have done but a few were abit iffy. If you are wondering which exams i am sitting they are A-levels and I am studying:
1. Maths
2. Chemistry
3. Physics

So for all you British people you will see thats a heavy group lol.

Hey guys this is going to be short and sweet this time around because I need help...............ALOT of help. I need to be quite specific though so please help find this guy or girl for me

What I a going to do is make a list of what I need them to be able to do:

1. Really good at 3D Max
2. Knows about normal mapping and bumping
3. Halo fanatic (like me

So what am I planning to do........?
I might as well tell you what I am doing so you can relay the message. What I want to do is make realistic posses and scenes using the halo characters. I have access to all of them so getting them wont be a problem

. I just need help in creating the scenes with immaculate detail.

I have been waning to do this for ages and I want to sort of get it going now.

SO PLEASE HELP WATCHERS....

The second news is that I have been accepted into every University which I applied to so I am 100% confident that I will be going to Uni in the summer, YAY.

Firstly I have a JOB!!!!!!!! yes I know you are all thinking "what a lazy swine I have had a job for ages", well I got of my lazy ass and am now working at 'GAME', people from USA will know it as 'EB Games'.

Secondly I have been taking my time with my pieces lately making them look sexy. as you may have found out I have gotten progressively better over this month and I intended to stay this way

, I am also waiting for a reply from *TerraSpace to see weather or not I am in the group or not, I think the group has died down but I would still love to be associated with them

.

Thirdly i have been getting a lot more hits these past few months with about 5 new watchers a day along with about 10 page views a day, and if your reading this, this is for you

Why dont I...
I have had so many people say that I should get a print account because my latest two especially my latest 'The gathering' are good enough to be one. The thing is I can not afford to, I am still trying to get some money to buy a DA account, I have so many things to get like my Wacom 3 tablet a laptop so I can take it to university and books ect. I know I havent been very active lately but as you can see I have been very busy, but I think things are settling in now so I am getting back to my art, YAY

Ok the first good news was that I have reached 1,000+ Page views, which is very exciting because more and more people are noticing me, well I hope

The fourth news which I havent yet heard back from is that a club with all top space artist named *TerraSpace are making there mind up if they will accept me. I hope so, I could learn a lot.

Well I have nearly completed all my collabs

Ok well I think that the title explains it for itself. I have been surfing deviant.com and also the web, yet I have never ever found a tutorial which shows you how to create a decent planet or a decent sky, please prove me wrong if you have found one, but I am just saying that I have never found one myself.
So before I take the time in creating a tutorial I just want to know how many of you will take an interest in it. Please post if you are or thinking of doing some space art stuff yourself, if enough people are interested I will produce a tutorial (maybe a series of them). I will also provide a few brushes which may help you
