Hey, so, like, I was wondering 2008.... what have you got in store for me? I've been thinking it was time I started doing some more photography and having a bit more fun with photoshop. Do you think there's any possibility that you could help arrange for awesome people to get in contact with me about shooting? Maybe they could have cool ideas for wicked fashion alternative stuff, or some really moody portraiture.... or even a few sneaky nudie shoots down in the wilderness somewhere. That'd be great.

So yeah, like, keep in touch 2008 - I really think we should hang out more.

He is quoted as saying: "Other than the beauty of the model, the binding (both as concept and as depiction) in your work is more objectionable than offal." and made it clear he was watching the gallery because of his appreciation of the model and not to "applaud your need to bind a woman."

The individual who made this rude comment is hardly worth a tirade here, and I certainly wont bother to itemize the hypocritical statements made; though I will use this as an opportunity to support artists and models in all genres.

The main reason this individual has offended me so deeply is not the insult to my talented, creative and kind friend, but because his statements are disrespectful of an entire art form - and to women in general. Now I am not a bondage artist, and this is not my particular flavour of erotica, so I cannot defend the mechanics of the Shibari - though I can defend any form of adult image which is produced by consenting individuals with the education and pride to produce it. The model in the images is interested in rope work enough to collaborate with artists and photographers, and I cannot fathom how anyone could appreciate her 'beauty' as shown in these images whilst disrespecting her decisions on theme or subject matter. Women do not need to be protected from the horrors of the world, they are able to make consenting decisions - and they are entitled to be sexual in any way they wish.

As artists and art appreciators we are free to choose the particular content we find interesting and aesthetically pleasing. It is not our deity-given right to criticize other people's artwork simply because we do not understand or enjoy it. If you do not like an image, don't comment on it, fave it, watch the artist or take it upon yourself to make a stance upon it. If the images are in violation of the Deviant Art codes of conduct or contain images of abuse - report them to the correct authorities. if the images are of things you find objectionable for your own religious or personal reasons, keep it to yourself. If you really aren't sure if the images are consensual (which may be the case in bondage examples), request further information before you comment hatefully.

So thanks to I got back in the saddle this week with another superb day of shooting, and yesterday I had the lovely pleasure of a crazy day of lollies and shenanigans with and .

I have 6 gig of photos waiting to look through from the last 2 weeks but haven´t been able to get access to a decent computer with which to upload anything. I spent €14 to get the two of my cards burned to dvd!!!!! ouch that hurt. The numbers are all correct on the price tags.. it´s only the currency that´s the problem. Can´t wait to get to the US since the dollar is almost worth rupees right now (AUD$1 buys you 88 US cents! - a record since the early 80´s).

So, Sunday, copehagen here I come. Meeting up with one of my old flatmates from Sydney who is visiting her family and friends in Sweden. Managed to get myself an inexpensive flight out of Malmö the next week to Spain so I guess I´ll be in Madrid and Barcelona for most of the rest of the time I´m here in Europe. The time has gone quite quickly... I definitely need another month or two to see the things I wanted to see here.... though I think I might need a fwe more thousand Euros to do so! zu viel jetzt zum tun und zu wenig zeit und geld hab ich! (excuse my terrible german)

Have had a lovely time so far and met up with some funky DA people -- lovely model with who I had a lovely afternoon jumping in the puddles of rainy London (litterally, there was puddle stomping).

AND wunderbar photographer who joined me for my birthday celebrations (and photo-taking adventure) in Venice.
If I manage to get access to a better computer than a shoddy internet cafe terminal I´ll try and upload some of the pictures.


In Berlin at the moment and DAMN it´s hot. Anyone care for a cool drink? Or know where this little black duck can find a decent soy cappucino without resorting to Starbucks*? Ich möchte einen soja kaffee bitte!!!!!

Next destinations: Copenhagen, Stockholm, Barcelona, Paris, London again!

I just wanted to thank my lovely models who have helped me get started with photography.

Props to Eric - for being such a great and versatile model who has also let me take photos with his camera before I got a hold of my own. We've had several shoots together and more to come!

Well, for one thing, Hiatus is over - it's time to get back to work.

Shoots: These can now be divided into two categories - those in which I am the photographer, and those in which I am the pretty face.

As Photographer: I'm having a bundle of fun taking artistic nude shots - already two shoots now under my belt with super-fabulous life-model Eric - , super-sexy death-maiden Becca and with one of my favourite photographers Paul -

1. Check out all three galleries for pictures of the Death and Desolation concept shoot. It's great to see how different our selected shots turned out.

2. Eric and I have now done two artistic nude shoots, one at Kurnel beach with lots of lovely rocks and sand, and another on Sunday at my favourite ruined wheat mill where we had to jump over broken bottles, spray paint cans and slide through toxic ooze left after the rain.

UPCOMING: As far as I can tell, there are two upcoming shoots, one conceptual shoot with Paul , and there is potentially another in the works with - if I can get my act together of course. Currently I'm constrained to borrowing Eric's camera but that situation changes in May when I pick up my shiny new Nikon D80!

As Model: A few things tentatively booked with Andy , Spiro and some random photographers around town. If you wanna work with me let me know, but keep in mind I'm still not entering the lovely land of nude modeling. I'm not a professional artist or model, I work predominantly in IT - please respect that although I appreciate nude images that I am unwilling to compromise myself professionally.

Travel: Here's the fun part - I'm planning a round the world trip for when I finish my degree in June. So far I'm going to Japan, US, Canada, Spain, France, UK, Germany and Italy. It's going to be fun and it's going to be expensive, but gees I've earned it!
