I attended my last convention of the year this past weekend. I-Con, which is held in the Des Moines area each year, was mucho fun-o. I got to chat a little with Sean "Cheeks" Galloway, while he drew a little doodle in a sketchbook for me. One couldn't meet a nicer guy...and talented, too! The show was a nice bookend to this year's convention events for me. A relatively small show, but the folks who came to see me were really friendly, and there were some very talented artists in attendance, as well.
Now that I'm warmed up, again, it's time to work on that commission list!

I returned from Fallcon 2009, last night, with a smile on my face. While it appears that the recession is affecting conventions from a retail standpoint, it was clear that attendees were having a good time. Much of this can be contributed to Nick and his crew running such a tight ship, and treating everyone so well. I created a few drawings over the weekend, and had a great time talking with fellow creators and convention goers. I'm already looking forward to next year's Fallcon!

Well, I've finally gotten back to the drawing board. I'm a little rusty after so many months of not drawing, but the sketches are starting to flow...at least as much as they can from my feeble hands. Fallcon 2009 is coming up, and I'll post some drawings afterward. Stay tuned!

I haven't picked up my pencil, since April of this year. Life is good, and has been so hectic, and I've done so much entertaining lately, that my drawing studio could very well begin to collect cob webs in the near future. My copic markers are beginning to feel lonely, methinks. I must get back on the horse! More to come...
