Challenge to video moving subjects in 46 degree cool morning with new equipment.

Friday liftoff cancelled due to cold front finishing moving East of Natchez.

Saturday morning before finished coffee, heard burners firing over our home. First race began in old kcs lumber yard, four hundred yard North of our yards! Got several decent pics and close up of Natural High experienced by one pilot. Winds picked up and shifted SSE, scanner chatter increased. One pilot landed on one of the small islands in the Mississippi river, south of the bridges.

Two pilots had to land in the game reserve, well south of the intended landing zone, all recovered safely due to efforts of local chase crews finding creative entrance paths with cell phone directions.

Fun and always new hot air balloon adventures are well worth the visit each October!

Reviewing first video clips made with new monopod help to stabilize zoom lens experiments. Will add clips later.

"The Clergy, by getting themselves established by law and ingrafted into the machine of government, have been a very formidable engine against the civil and religious rights of man." Comparing my children to myself, and now my dad and his dad, all have the same pattern of eye nose ears measurements.

Helps to see their world and understand the challenges faced daily required knowledge of Nature, and how to adapt to her violent weather events, survive and store those memories in DNA for the next generation.
Have to get used to being called "Grandpa"!

Welcomed my first grandchild into the family on April 16, 2008.

Caitlyn Elizabeth born April 14th, seven pounds, five ounces, twenty inches long, blue eyes, long fingers and feet, strong lungs. My sons branch of our family tree has started.

Received call 7pm April 17th, my son sounded upset "had to have Duke put down by the vet". Their two year old male pit bull was raised from six week old pup, to constant inside house watch dog. Well behaved and given much love and attention.

When he was introduced to the new family addition he seemed happy with her scent, until Caitlyn was placed in her enclosure for a nap. Soon as her mother moved away from her, Duke growled and went into threat mode! My son pulled him outside and drove straight to the vets for termination and cremation of a once loving and protective house dog.

Be aware of any house pets danger to a newborn, and deal with it.

This was a harsh lesson for us. Must grieve, accept, and heal from loss of a family member. Thankful our first grandchild is safe.

The Mississippi river is above flood stage, serious danger to low lands in Adams and Wilkinson counties, since 1973 floods. Silver street is under water below the first businesses at Natchez Under the Hill, and the casino boat is closed after being moved, moored and riding it out.
Mother Nature is to be respected.

Proud Grandpa

"The Clergy, by getting themselves established by law and ingrafted into the machine of government, have been a very formidable engine against the civil and religious rights of man." Confused with online reporting department having two seperate addresses("the new bellsouth" on web page) compared to at&t page.

Sub-out of our country tech answered email request, promptly, and scheduled repairs by March 17th. Not Repaired!

Second request I sent to Bellsouth address, and promptly scheduled for repairs by March 25th. Tech drove up 11a.m. 24th, and verified No Inside Home wiring problem(saved me eighty dollars) and after working on junction box at the pole, got dial tone.

I thought it was fixed, until called daughters cell phone, and returned my call to say the last digit was changed to 9, when tried my number it rang over ten times, no answer! Tech swapped my line with an unlisted residence, who is not able to pay before disconnect deadline!
Stayed on line over thirty minutes to get help, and fifteen minutes to say no to each "money saving bundle with free cell phone" sales pitches. Then had to call another 800 number to place a Lock on my phone number to prevent potential long distance charges if unknown caller thought it must be Spring Promotion of free service!

Second help call was handled professionally, with employee being sympathetic and assured Correct Repairs will be made by 7p.m. on Tuesday March 25th. I will be watching for repair tech, and ask which neighbor the number belongs to, for my personal knowledge, only.

Total phone time to schedule re-repairs forty-seven minutes. Why I prefer using online services, unless human help needed.

"The Clergy, by getting themselves established by law and ingrafted into the machine of government, have been a very formidable engine against the civil and religious rights of man."
