i've put some of the more interesting results from my third go round at live figure drawing in my scraps ( [link] )

i did a lot more experimenting this time, but the short poses meant not many drawings were completed. think i need to try some longer poses next time. there is a second level of figure drawing offered, but it's during the day... like no one has to work for a living.... jeez!!!!!

anyway... gonna keep at it anyway.

lots of gesture drawings in pencil, marker and india ink. 10 seconds, 15 seconds and 20 seconds. wasn't as bad as i thought, although i was losing focus by the end of the session. i even liked a couple of drawings. i'll post a couple in scraps (didn't like them that much...lol) later this week when i can take some photos.

i was so excited this morning, i had to figure out these journals to tell everyone.

Last week i finished my first commission and put it in the mail on Friday. Monday morning i got this wonderful email! Here's an excerpt....

"What a way to begin the week. I opened my door at 830 this morning and the package was between the doors. I gave it to hubby to open and he was speechless but you know me, I began to cry. Michael you did a beautiful beautiful job. I cant wait to hang it at my new home in 3 weeks."

just makes me wanna go draw some more! great reminder of why i do this.
