A slight upgrade of the rules but nothing major. It's mostly the same rules written in a different way and if you've followed the rules in the past, you are following them still.

Until I get around to buying another subscription I'll be posting the rules in my journal. Should I do this permanently? Maybe that would be better than the link I provided before. Well, I have time to think about it I guess.

Alright guys, most of you have been pretty good about the rules lately, so thanks, really. I appreciate it. For those of you who obviously haven't read the rules, since you can't be bothered to take the time to read the rules (which are not long and shouldn't take you five minutes, even), I can't be bothered responding to you, and I won't.

Okay, I swear, I have new stuff, I just have to get it uploaded and organized. I got a whole bunch of AWESOME pictures today, and then most of them were blurry. I don't know whether it was the lighting (not that great) or just that it's been a while since I really seriously went out with a mission, OR, maybe it was just too cold, I could probably come up with a thousand excuses for the badness, but regardless, it makes me sad, and you guys should be sad, too, because some of those pictures were really cool.

This unfortunate situation has led me to considering a "Blurry but Awesome" folder for those of you talented enough to deal with that mess. Many of the images are still clear enough to be used as references for drawing or paintings, and any that are too blurry even for that will just live a lonely life in a computer folder somewhere, never to be viewed by the public eye. You should pity them, I do.

~Various-Stock offered in a previous journal to remove tack and riders from images for people who aren't able to do this themselves. If this problem has prevented you from using my Under Saddle stock in the past, try running by her gallery and asking for her help. I would also like to ask that if anybody else is able and willing to make such an offer, to let me know and I will add you to the list of Very Helpful Individuals.

Should any of you take ~Various-Stock or anybody else up on this opportunity, please remember that I will still require credit for the image to come to me, though those providing the service may also request that you credit their changes. Even if they don't, you should. It's the polite thing to do.

Organizing

So, since only two of you got back to me about organizing, and left one vote for pose and one for color, I guess I'll do both. There's going to be a billion folders so if you can't find what you want, you aren't looking very hard.

Stock Use

I'm sure some of you who watch me have been attracted to the pre-made stock backgrounds that abound on DeviantArt. I know I have been, I have quite a few in my "Favorite Stock" collection. Unfortunately it seems that many of these backgrounds are not technically allowed as most artists do not allow the redistribution of their stock as stock in any form. Check out $realitysquared's Feb. 7th CEA Update. You can also see it in his journal.

Stolen Horses

In other news, those two Oklahoma horses are still missing. Information about these two mares can be found here. The morgan is expected to foal in March so if any of you are in the area, keep your eyes peeled

Now, while doing that, you should really take a look at Stolen Horses International. It's a great organization with a wide readership that has allowed it to reunite many stolen horses with their people.

Okay, it seriously just took me about 10 minutes to find the pain emoticon. Either I'm an idiot or that box could use some restructuring. I'm leaning towards restructuring, but I know SOME of you will happily choose the other option.

MAGGIE
(DC Magnums Dawn) 1996 Gray Arabian Mare, AHA 0537977. 15.0 hh She is now pure white on her body, but her mane and tail are gray. She has the GG Samir "look." Maggie has two cowlicks side-by-side on her forehead and a two or three inch long divet on her left rear thigh, right in the back. She has a large upside down tear drop shaped star, which has underlying pink skin. She has three white socks - left fore, right hind, left hind - all pink underlying skin. She does not have a clipped bridle path.

DHARMA
(Double Crown Lonesome Dove) 2000 Bay Morgan Mare, AMHA 0152229. 14.3 hh Dharma is a solid bay with a lot of winter coat. She has a thick and long mane and forelock. She has a single cowlick on her forehead, but no other white markings. She has a scar that is several inches long and runs horizontal along the front of her right hind hock. The hair grows differently there. All her feet are dark. She is fat, but she is also 285 days pregnant as of Jan. 26 and has started to bag up.

I have fliers and photos ready to email/post, but i can't figure out how to post them here. Thanks to everyone.

Please keep in mind that this is not a studio and these artists are under no obligation to do this work if they do not have the time, nor are they obligated to make any other changes to the horses unless that is something that has been agreed upon by both parties.
