So, Iowa. It was fun, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I have other cons. I think that was due to several different things that weren't really the con's fault. Like the fact that there was no jrock booth so I couldn't get my hand on any Versailles stuff. And that we didn't leave the room until late on Saturday which kind of put a damper on the whole day, at least for me. XD But we got some good pictures of our costumes, so all is well.

I of course bought lots of stuff. This time around I ended up with a gorgeous Gankutsuou wall scroll, the first Romeo x Juliet boxset, a Tofu plushie (it had a face! <3), a Zelgadis ketchain thinger that pretty much made my life amazing, yummy chocolate mushrooms, a Nana keychain, and some beautiful art by .

But I lost my bow for Kiki. I left it in the room like an idiot. Oh well it was cheap and didn't take long to make at all.

Also saw Ponyo last night. IT WAS SO CUTE! I absolutely loved it. Everyone must see it.

I swear, I've bought that pin three times and he's the only one that has ever fallen off of my purse.

I probably only have about three people who actually read these journals. So I'm going to reduce the number dramatically to 5. So the first five people to comment will get 3 pieces from their gallery featured by me.

1.) Seven(Niamh) and Eight(Kristy) plan a heist. What sort of heist might that be?
Kristy would hack the circus train’s security system and mess with Ringmaster’s files (aka: erase all of his pancake related things). Niamh would get dragged along. Kristy would consider the experience as giving Niamh an education.

2.) Four(Ringmaster) gets kidnapped! Is One(Rudolph) or Nine(Rino) the more likely culprit?
Rudolph. But only if there was a profit in it for him. Or maybe just for fun, since it’s Ringmaster.

3.) Six(Ata) challenges Five(Getide) to a chess game. What happens?
The game would last forever because both would get really into it. They’d insult each other back and forth, until Ata gets too frustrated with Getide and throws him into a lake (saltwater merman + freshwater lake = badness).

4.) Who doesn't like to play Pokemon? I bet Ten(Iceire) has some great Pokemon! What are they?
He’d only play Pokemon if Rino made him, but I bet he’d secretly be super into it. XD Iceire would for sure have a Charizard and a Glaceon (these two would be his favorite). The rest of his party would be this: Flareon, Arcanine, Mudkip (XD), Houndoom, and
Bayleef (the influence of Rino’s nagging that he even out his party more).

5.) How does Three(Trisul) like to gussy up for a date?
Svana, Krissy, and Ringmaster would tease and bother him the whole time, telling him to do this or that. They’d all try to dress him and do his hair, so he’d be a mess before he’d finally manage to kick them out of his room so he could get ready himself. He would be really nervous and would try really hard to dress the right way, so he’d either dress way to casual or way too formal. (Gussy? Really?)

6.) Five(Getide) and Two(Svana) take a leisurely vacation together. Where do they go?
Getide would think they were going to the beach, but then later be emotionally tramatized when he finds out that Svana changed their tickets and they end up in Minnesota – the ideal place for Svana to spend her leisure time dumping Getide into cold, freshwater lakes. How fun.

7.) Nine(Rino) prepares dinner for Six(Ata)! What do they make?
She tires to make some fancy Italian food, ruins it, and serves spaghetti instead. Ata’s just glad it’s not pancakes.

8.) Ten(Iceire) and Three(Trisul) team up. What happens?
Someone would get maimed. Who knows if it would be on purpose or an accident.

9.) Seven(Niamh), Ten(Iceire), Eight(Kristy), and One(Rudolph) all have a sitcom together. What is it called?
Space Pirates!

…what? You mean just because Rudolph’s in it doesn’t make it about space pirates?

10.) Is One(Rudolph) more accustomed to tangoing, waltzing, or freestyling?
He can do all three of course.


11.) Seven(Niamh) hits on Four(Ringmaster). Result?
Ringmaster: *pats her on the head* Ata must be teaching you people skills! I’m so proud, my little girl’s growing up!

A balloon ride, duh. She sees elephants all the time. Circus = Elephants

Dealing with Rino everyday. And just the human world in general. It smells there.

14.) Eight(Kristy), Three(Trisul), Five(Getide), and One(Rudolph) go out boozing. What happens?
They all get drunk off their asses. Kristy and Rudolph are both loudy, roudy drunks. Must destruction follows. Getide and Trisul would sit in the corner and emo together.

15.) And finally, would Six(Ata) save Four(Ringmaster) or Nine(Rino), if they were both in great danger and he/she could only save one?
Rino. And then he’d have a “I’m Finally Free From the Tyranny of a Crazy-Pancake-Loving-Bastard” party. His hopes would be promptly crushed when Ringmaster showed up the next day (because who has the power to get rid of Ringmaster?). And then he would be punished, and there would be lots of pancakes (because Ringmaster said so). The End.

1. What is your DeviantArt name and what does it mean?
My deviantart art name is starshetland, but my general all around internet name (that I started using after I made my da account) is Getsurei. Starshetland is from way back in the day, when I used to be obsessed with horses. “Star” was my nickname (unfortunately ^^) amongst a small group of my friends, and a shetland is an adorable kind of pony. Getsurei means something involving the moon and I thought it was pretty and unique sounding.

2. Why did you join this site?
I stalked people’s art so I eventually decided to join so I could put them on watch. And then I didn’t use it for like three years.

3. What fandom were you obsessed with when you joined?
I wasn’t obsessed with any fandom when I first joined. I just liked the pretty pictures. ^^ But when I first started using it I think I was really into Inuyasha.

4. How many watchers are currently watching now?
I have 17 people watching me, and I watch like 100 people. I need to go through them and get rid of the ones that a) aren’t even active anymore and b) that I don’t even care about anymore.

5. Your first gift ever was to?
If you mean gift art, I've never really gifted anything before. I guess I drew something as a Christmas card to my brother once but…

6. List five things you are a fan of?
Majin Tantei Nogami Neuro, D. Gray Man, The World Ends With You, Tim Burton’s stuff, and the Twilight series.

I also put really really short explanations after the characters so this wasn't complete nonsense.

1 - Rino - 15 (though she ages throughout her story) year old girl. She has green hair, and green eyes, but otherwise is pretty normal.
2 - Iceire - His name's a combination of ice and fire, pronounced Ice-eer. He's a dragon, who can also take the form of a wolf and a human. As a punishment, he was assigned to be Rino's guardian since her birth.
3 - Svana Moore - One of the few of my character's who actually has a last name. ^^ She's my albino character (because everyone needs one!). She's in the same story as Trisul and Getide.
4 - Abellio - He's a centaur like creature, except that he has a jaguar body instead of a horse's. His obsession is music, and he's named after the god of apples.
5 - Apep - The Egyptian snake god who was said to fight Ra every night in the underworld. He's hair is long and green-black (because green hair is awesome!), and his eyes are yellow, like a snake's. He's kind of girly looking.
6 - Anna - Elegant a dignified; I'm pretty sure she'll end up as some sort of royalty. But as of now, she lacks a back-story.
7 - Zela - She has a human build, but she's covered in black scales and has a snake-like tail.
8 - Trisul - His name is a combination of the Latin words preseul (dancer), tripudio (to dance), and tristis (sad/gloomy). He's a circie, an acrobat, and body guard.
9 - Getide - A member of the same circus as Trisul. He's a very cynical merperson who has to live in a tank. (*laughs at self*)
10 - Lueur - My only character who is 100% not human and also has no human form. I don't know how to describe her in any other way than a snake-wolf with a fish tail. She's a fierce protector.
11 - Leona Seder - A redhead girl with stone antlers.
12 - Haven - My oldest character (he's not THAT old but he's well out of his teens), not counting my immortal ones. He's a father figure to Svana.

1. Who would make a better couple, 4(Abellio) and 5(Apep) or 2(Iceire) and 11(Leona)?
Personality wise, I'd say Abellio and Apep. But then when you take into account that neither of them is gay, and that one of them is half cat, it doesn't work so well. So I'd have to say Iceire and Leona, even though I'd doubt they'd get along. They'd make pretty red-haired babies though. :3

2. 6(Anna) and 12(Haven) are marooned on an inhospitable desert island with no food or water, only a single-shot pistol. Who gets shot?

Goodness...They're both the peace-makers of my stories! Probably Haven, since, even if he had to, he couldn't bear to shoot anyone.


3. Would 9(Getide) cheat off of 3’s(Svana) test?

He might, but he'd be too stuck up to tell anyone. And if Svana found out, she'd kill him. Literately.

4. 1(Rino) and 7(Zela) duel. What is it over, and who wins?

Another hard one, since Rino gets at using a rapier later on. But I'd have to go with Zela. She's got superhuman speed.

5. Walking home late at night, 2(Iceire) realizes 8(Trisul) is following him/her ominously. What do they do?

Iceire would probably try to disappear. If that didn't work, he'd attack Trisul and interrogate him. Trisul would put up a pretty good fight. Though why he'd be following anyone let alone Iceire I have no idea.

6. What might an accurate fortune cookie predict of 6’s(Anna) future?

You shall be frightened by a creepy person in a clown mask, then die the same day.

7. What would 10(Lueur) be voted in the yearbooks “Most Likely To:” section?

Most likely to eat someone. Or several someones.

8. How long does 1(Rino) last in boot camp?

About a day. She'd get sick of it fast.

9. After a rough week, 4(Abellio) goes to the spa and gets the works. 7(Zela) walks in and sees 4 all mud-and-cucumbered-up. What does 4 do?

Kill him. How dare another person be within a one mile radius of her?

10. What is the first chapter of 9(Getide)’s autobiography titled?

11. 11(Leona) knocks 8(Trisul) out of the way of a car and is hit and killed. Does 8 go to the funeral, or just send flowers? What do they do at the funeral/ what kind of flowers?

Trisul would go to the funeral. He'd probably blame himself and get all emo until Svana beats him up for acting emo.

I got Corel Painter X, which is really awesome (I can finally finish my Rukia picture!), two Furuba DVDs, a Nightwish cd, and a Razr phone (from my grandparents/uncle and aunt who spoil me). I did pretty good this year, right?

I also just say Transformers, which was awesome. I can't tell you I expected much, but it was really good. You all need to go see it.

I just bought the new Harry Potter, so I'm going to spend the next few days holed up in my room reading it. Sounds like fun!

Everyone's costume was awesome. And :icon Indigo-Wolf: was so cute! Over 100 people asked for her and 's (who did Rosette) picture. She got so sick of it that she refused to cosplay the next day.

I FINALLY finished Izumi's wig. It took my the whole of I. Robot last night, and a whole 5 hours today to fix the thing (since we didn't hair spray it the first time it totally fell apart on me), but it's finally done. It's not perfect, but it's good enough. Thank God, I officially hate the damn thing.

All I have left to do is cut my jeans, make Shader's necklace, and get Shader's wig in the mail.

I'm also having some major issues with my wig. It HURTS to spend that much money, and I'm going to have to wait forever to get it too because it's coming all the way from China. And where am I gunna get cat ears and a tail?

And have I mentioned my horrible short story? My poor character Lia; I have put her to shame!

Oh, and I'm also suppossed to do one of those 'ten people things' because I managed to get there quickly and was featured on 's, but I forgot so we'll get to that next time. Do I even know ten people on deviantart? *counts* Uh...nope.

And they are really good. *is helpless* Aw! I always do that. I thought I'd hate Fullmetal Alchemist because it was weird (and it is, but it's awesome), Samurai 7 because it looked very mecha, Fruits Basket because Tohru's eyes are huge on the first cover, and Bleach because it was called Bleach. And I a hypocrite or what?

On another note, I hate 1984. I know y'all agree with me.

I would write more, but I am exhausted and I feel sick. Not only have I felt sick all day, but we were forced to do the 8 minute run in health today so I am dead. Dead as chicken who's had it's head cut off but still runs around without a head for like ten minutes because of all of the blood or nerves or whatever. I am that dead.

I am so happy. Zelda: Twilight Princess is so much fun; it's a lot easier for me to use the Wii controller than it is for me to use a normal controller (my brother says it's harder, and he's the gamer...maybe I'm just strange?).

I can't wait! I've never been to a con before, so I'm as excited as my spaz-tic smiley face. I'm going to cosplay as Shader from Chrno Crusade and Izumi from FMA. Those costumes should both be fairly simple; my aunt can do all the sewing. The only problem is that my mom won't let me dye my hair for my Shader costume, and I can't afford two wigs! Any suggestions?

I've also recently become obsessed with a new (well, new to me anyway) anime/manga called Loveless. It's one of the best things I've ever read. It's rare that you see cat boys and Ritsuka is the cutest thing I've ever seen! I highly recommend it, but I do warn you that it contains a lot of yaoi and shonen-ai, so those of you who don't like that, stay away from it.

But on another note, I'm very much loving Ouran. :-D I can't believe I didn't download it sooner; it's awesome! It's very silly, and has no deep and meaningful plot (as of yet...but I'm not getting my hopes up) but it's still really good. I love the twins. I must attempt to draw them. I hope I have time this Sunday...but I probably won't. We'll see.

I hope I didn't offend your eyes too much with my drawing...Just don't sue me for eye damage, alright? I spent all my money at anime club last week and I still owe Sam ten bucks...So I really couldn't afford it. Not that you'd get much off of me anyway. Maybe some pocket lint. Oh, and a gum wrapper.

I really should be getting to that civics paper I have due friday. I really, really don't want to, but I have to. Hope you're having a better day than me!

If you haven't already caught on by now, this is my first journal entry. I haven't actually posted ANYTHING before now (and I've had this account for how many years?), but now that i have I've gotten up the courage to write one of these.
