Life is still extremely busy. My new grandson is taking up much of Grandma's time. His mommy is in school full time and working full time so Little man gets to spend alot of time with me . He's 3 1/2 mos old now and just the cutest!

Work is going along well and I am up for a promotion. Although I just had an interview that went well last week and they want another interview...decisions....decisions. The old job is 45 min from home the new one is only about 20 min. New one is more money and better hours and more vacation time.....should be a no brainer but I kinda like my old job. Comfort zone I suppose.

Got to do some golfing late this summer and got some nice pics waiting to tee off. So tranquil out there sometimes ....when your game is going well anyway .

Found out last weds. that my daughter is having a boy...my first grandson (or grandchild for that fact!). Still having a hard time imagining me as a "grandma"! gonna have to definitely come up with another name for him to call me! Told my girlfriend that I am way tooo young and delicious to be a grandma...think she might still be laughing! Anyway...I have till early August to resolve these issues.

Feeling a bit ambivilent tonight. Got a new job and suddenly...I don't want to leave my old job. The new job is off my feet...more money...and still in nursing, but its farther away and the hours stink. I love my job now and the people i work with but I have no benefits there...gotta have benefits. So...the dilema sets in...thinking that the new job will look really great on my resume too for the direction that i eventually want to move in. I suppose time will tell. Keep smiling!

Just got home from work...afternoons...house is quiet and its just me and puppy awake. Its not that I don't like my job..or that it is difficut by any means...just way too much time standing! If the standing wasn't an issue...it would be a very descent job...but...unfortunately...still searching for the right fit for me . I love being a nurse and I had forgotten how much I missed patient care. But I did just get my bachelors so I could move more towards management...keep your fingers crossed for me...lord knows my name is out there!

Had an interview this morning and they offered me the job on the spot. I am suppose to start tommorrow. Its afternoons which is ok, but not my dream job for sure, however, I think that this position may open up new avenues for me within this company. Keeping my fingers crossed on that one.

Still progressing on the weight loss. I weigh in on Weds. and I'll keep ya all posted on that one .

Mood: Happy Girl!

Wow has this month flew by! Haven't been on DA too much lately...still concentrating on finding a descent job. I have an interview in the morning...and I got called to test for BC/BS on Thursday...hope something breaks soon!

Weighed in this week and moving right along. Down 64 pounds now and still going strong! Woo Hoo!!! Long way to go still....but just making short term goals and taking things one day at a time ...and getting there ~! Thanks Amarand for the inspiration

Started out at the Drs and found out I have to have surgery on the 11th. Nothing major..just a hassle. Then...last weds. my chiropractor dislocated my jaw...needless to say I found a new chiro and started seeing him that same day. Well, he put my jaw back in place this morning after the first drs appt...boy did that hurt! I am hoping it is where it is going to stay now because I don't want to have to do the jaw thing again!

I am so tired I think I may fall over right here at the computer so heading to bed now. Have a great 4th everyone!

Yeah!...I hit 50 pounds weight loss this week...even with Easter eating!....I have to admit..I was a good girl, not totally...but pretty good.

Only 2 weeks left of school. Started applying for jobs yesterday. Kinda scary, well..ok..alot scary. I know I have the skills now...but I haven't worked in so long.... and I know that there are alot of expectations being placed on me right now too. I have a great support system though, which helps imensely!

Well I hope everyone had a great holiday! I have to admit, I will be glad to see the kids go back to school . My oldest is moving back home from college this week though....but not for long...she is headed to Cedar Point for her summer job I believe on the 30th....busy week for her!

I am quite excited...I am on the brink....I weighed today and I have lost 49 pounds...so close to 50 ! Still have quite a ways to go...but so happy its coming off still. Amarand inspired me to join weight watchers and i have lost 13 pounds since I joined them.

School is coming along...only 3 1/2 weeks left and then I'm done! yeah! Can't hardly believe I am this close...seems like I have been going to school forever! Will probably start looking for a job seriously next week...scary!

Daughter is coming home from college this weekend...will be nice to see her and spend some time with her. She will only be home for a few days after the semester ends before she will be leaving for Cedar Point to work for the summer. What an opportunity for her. But I will miss her

Twins are in the final strech of high school. Have been doing the prom dress thing with my daughter. What an ordeal this is turning out to be! All the dresses she is liking are over $400 bucks! I told her she needs a better job then!..I know...mean mom!

Wow...well...can hardly believe it! Started my last class today and finished up two last friday....happy to report I got A's in both of them! Yeah! I am truly so excited about that! It was close in one class. So at this rate it looks like I will be graduating with honors....magna cum laude....would have loved Summa cum laude...but don't think i can pull that one off with just one class left! So then the scary part...looking for a job...I have started to look around and only found a couple of things that interested me...but i have a good month before I have to find a job! I haven't worked in over 5 years...so it is scary! But at least I will have the credentials now...along with my LPN I will have a BS in Healthcare Mangagement and a minor in HR Management. I am sincerely hoping that the past few weeks are not an indication of the new year ahead of me! What a trying time it has been! School is progressing along full steam ahead as it usually does and making life crazy again. Kids are finally settled back into school and was hoping life would quiet down then, but seems to be still hoping with activities! Friends have been moving in and out of my life lately too, was thinking friends were forever, but not so sure now .

School started again and only 4 classes to go...I will be glad when this is over too! Graduate in May and then the twins in June....I keep trying to get them to go away to school...but doesn't look like that is going to happen..lol! I do enjoy the quiet time!

So excited that today is my last day of school for this semester! 4 more classes and done!!! Woo Hoo!

Life has gotten really crazy the past week. My oldest came home from college and I hadn't realized how used I had gotten having her gone. It was much quieter the last few months.... But I love her and missed her and it is great having her home!

The twins just appeared in a school play...Rigaletto....It was one of their best performances! My little drama babies!

Have been making a lot of new friends over the past few of weeks which is sweet, but, I ask, how can you tell if a person is really real? If what's coming out of their mouths is really the truth. I was reading an article the other day about how people are programed to lie. That the average person tells at least two lies a day. Pretty sad, huh. Well, there's a poll question for ya Mona!

So many dilema's going on in my life right now...so much to do and so little time to get it all done! Leaving for GA on Thurs...to see the folks....haven't seen them since June so that will be great...but too much to do between now and then! Guess I should start by finishing my last homework assignment!

With the holidays approaching I have, as many of you may have, had time to reflect upon the year. I've been fortunate to have made many new friends this past year and progressing through school towards my degree. I am finding that you would think, with age, I would be learning a few more things about other people and not leaving myself so open and vulnerable. I always think the best of someone first....but now I'm thinking that maybe I should be reconsidering this. Maybe this should be my new years resolution. Any thoughts?
