i've decided to get more serious about taking pictures. before high school, i had my heart set on taking photo, eventually progressing to AP photo by senior year. unfortunately, things didn't work out that way. i'm a junior now, and i've yet to take a photo course at school. my disappointment led to a slight inferiority complex, but since this past summer, i've been thinking more positively. i can do it on my own. on the other hand, i'll have to fight my laziness head on.

i love taking pictures in color but i've developed a love for sepia and b&w. so i might be posting more pictures in mostly sepia and b&w. i'll see how that goes.

also, i'm going to try to pay a bit more attention to light and shadows, especially when working with people. i want to invoke emotion, not just take pictures. ]]> ~steffiedeffie
