I've come to the realisation that if you're always nice to people they think they can walk all over you without any consequences.

I have this friend who I never treated badly and in my eyes tried to be the best friend I could be to, but it's like she took that for granted knowing I would always be that way no matter what.
But then one day she really messed me around and hurt me that much that I didn't just sit there and take it like I usually would. Instead I went on the attack.
I wasn't just standing up for myself, I said so many hurtful things out of anger that I couldn't see how we could be friends again.
Now a days she's nicer to me than ever and I'm guessing that it had something to do with figuring out that I actually can & will stand up for myself and wont always be there if treated like crap.

I do try my best to treat people as I would like to be treated but is it just me, or do you come across people who take advantage of you because of that?

I realise people play stupid mind games and knowing that dosen't make me act any other way then I feel is right (except for the above example ofcourse!) and I'm not perfect obviously but still, it's hard when you haven't done anything wrong but treated as if you have.

What a year...hope it was a positive one for you all too.

Thank you for all your support this year - hopefully I'll be knocking out even more paintings next year when I start my art course at Uni in '08.

I look forward to keeping tabs on all the great talent I found on dA over the years.

Thinking I should think of some new years resolutions..the main ones I want to work on are to trust myself more & not not rely on other people to make me happy.
To continue treating people how I would want to be treated.
Oh, and to visit London by '09!

Now saying that you can hold it to me if I don't!

What are your NYs resolutions?

Whatever they may be I wish for all of our dreams to come true next year and well into the future.

I've titled it "She who dreams" for many reasons. The main one is the reference to all the women who feature in my paintings. It occured to me I've never done a male portrait before, which to be honest I don't find surprising.

Ofcourse anyone in the area at the time is welcome. Might be a bit hard for a few of you in places like Sweden and alike but it would be rude of me not to invite
