I'm getting back into the 3D again, but havn't created anything too impressive to show just yet, hoping to create an animation soon though with full 3D everywhere and so it looks as if it is in a game engine as well.

Umm.. I have a mate who is building a cheap PC for me so I will be online soon ( Even though ive said that a few times now ) But yes, it is actually going to work

I have to create a HTML / PHP / CSS tutorial website ( even though there are soo many ) but alot of people are always asking me questions. So this way I can just direct them to the links to save me repeating it all. There will be extreeme basic HTML tutes too for those who "struggle". *cough*

I am now looking for game work, hopefully there is a company in Melbourne that will take me on, i may have to do some courses to get certificates as well which will be cool.

I will get back into the game very soon I am hoping, and to catch up with you all again. Im old now and different so I think ill go for a change when i return with a new DA username / page and a new website to kick me off. I am planning on a massive portfolio of 3d, textures and tutorials in the near future to see if it will help me out with reputation at all and to get me a foot into the door for where I want to end up.

Programming courses are on the way for me to so i can get into my own game work or messing around.

This was my reply, and i felt i should share it to those who are interested into heading the same direction as what i have.

Well, you could start where i started and worked on modding my favourite game.

That got me into doing more game art and modelling. I started with Vietcong mapping..then characters..weapons..etc.. ( Which is the hardest )

But if you have a game.. even as hold as CS 1 or HL1 .. you can create your own character models and so on to get used to it.

Before i move on.. i should say you should go and buy Command And Conquer - RENEGADE. It is most possibly ( in my oppinion ) the easiest and best game to start on for this type of work. I suggest you go to your local game store or cash converters. You can buy it brand new for like $15 and you d.load the modding tools if you do a quick search in google.com.

Ill list a few games that are modable and ok for starting: ( also.. modding can mean whole new character.. or even something like mapping. Nothing is simple, it all takes a long time but you need to start somewhere. )

Battlefield
Warcraft III
Counterstrike / Halflife
Max Payne
Quake 1/2/3 - ( i think i started here along time ago )
Unreal Tournament - ( very good to start on )
Vietcong
FarCry
Battlerealms
Command & Conquer Generals / Zero Hour
Renegade
Doom 3

As you can see there is alot and many more games that you can start with as long as you have them. This was easy for me considering i already have pretty much any game released.

All or most games that are mappable / moddable come with thier own SDK and creation tools for users who wish to explore and create thier own creations for games.

You just install the extra programs that are on the cd's such as world builders such as WorldEdit, PteroEditor, WorldCraft..etc

Some games have thier own ".zip" format like .pak or .cbf files.. if you do a bit of searching you will find programs which will allow you to open these files and extract the contents. You may not need to search at all.. they could be right there on the development websites. Just keep your eyes open for all editing tools for the game you are working on.

The best part is, there are thousands of tutorials that will show you how to use all of the programs, but most of the time they come with some great tutorials in the help files. If you get really stuck.. get into the forums for which ever game you are modding and ask around. If you come across some people that are friendly and not punks.. they will give you faster help on MSN.

Modding / Moddelling / Animation programs you may need for doing these types of things if they are not included with the game are:

3d Studio Max
Gmax
Milkshape 3d ( some games need this to create the animations in it and then export into formats such as MD2, B3d..etc )
GameSpace ( same as above )
Photoshop

These are mostly the essentials for anything and im pretty sure you do have them.

To get right into it, just remember, get into the forums and chat. Your main aim is to be known. You want to create things that have not been seen yet, and that are original ideas. Every game needs something new, and something new gives the communites another toy to play with. Even if its crap and dodgy.. it is still something new. Dont expect anything great at first, because we all have to start somewhere

After a while of mapping / modding etc.. you will want to get into doing coding. Its very hard at first and can take some time to work on. The way i did it was just to learn each aspect of the modding sequence 1 by 1 to learn everything i needed to. After i knew a fair bit ( but i was still learning ) i created my own modding / mapping group community where i built my own team which i organise now. We are as large as 120 people now.

Make sure if you post something with previews of something you are creating, FINISH IT! No one likes to hear news about something and then to never see what it was because the person was either too slack or just couldnt be fucked. If you dont want to complete it, hand your project to someone else and they will complete it. ( It will still contain you ideas and your work etc, just make sure you let them know who is still boss. )

Working with PMT ( Pterodon Modding Team ) has been rather interesting with the release of our mod. for the game Vietcong VERY soon!

Ive done alot of modelling and support for this one, i am also in the creation of making the website for us ( PMT ) at the moment and that will be found at http://pmt.pterodon.com. but nothing is there until i upload the site template

Another website is being made for one of my friend's mothers business which be created at [link], just a website for winery tours that im trying to help out with her business as well with some ideas i grab.

I joined a hacking / cracking / cheating community for games and programs called [TKC] - Teamkill and Cheat Community. Our site for that can be found at http://www.tkc-community.net . I do graphics for them and i am learning some hacking and programming C++ and VB6 through them. Its a really interesting subject and fun to do because its another new thing for me!

#VCL# Clan for the game Vietcong started to fall apart a little because i dont live where i used to live so i had to drop out for a little so then i could get some money up and together. So for the moment, we are at a steady pace now and keeping it together since my return, but i still have some issues to deal with thier, but its all good.

ok, ever since i got dumped

I have been attempting to recover from that for quet some time and i still am, but i still talk to her, i saw her the other day, and i still love her with all of my heart and am trying everything to get her back with me.

I am now doing alot of online gaming with a game which some of you may know Vietcong, and me and my two roommates ( i moved to Dandenong out of home finally recently. ) And i am workin gmy way towards being part of the PMT (Pterodon Modding Team, the creators and editors of Vietcong.) So when i am with them i will be a very buissy payed boy out there doing something i will actually love! This includes me doing 3d modeling, texturing and posibly some C++ scripting for the objects and levels i help to create.

I will post some of the things which i produce on here as renders, but i will not be able to hand out the models due to poilcies and stuff.

There have been a few changes recently within this game i am creating. Pretty much most of the people who said they are going to help out, just havnt. I only want people who are truely going to help and be positive towards the project and i will accept no imitations.

After thinking for a while, there is another project which is in the secret chamber, locked away, and only i, $jark , %lllo0o0olll, $spyed and `switched know about soo far. This will be revealed in time, and im thinking most of you will enjoy what we have to tell.

But i need PROGRAMMERS!, people who are willing to learn the c-script which will be used for the program 3d GameStudio, and the graphics are still going to be done by those of you on the list, so dont think you are getting kicked out of here.

There is a website getting set up within the next week where we will have our own place for chat and discussion, with a forum, chat room, and the topics and updates which i have planned.

Hello there guys, today i have soemthing i have put some big thought into and i wish to share it with whoever wants to participate in creating a game with me. This is very serious and i am planning to go retail with it if it becomes as sucessful as we can make it. This will require FULL team effort and good organisation at all times. This does'ne mean that you have to be there the whole time doing it non-stop, it just means, if you can help and are serious about it then join in.

My brief plans are for a game similar to Rayman 2, a 3d action / adventure walking around doing tasks for people while shooting the baddies along your way.

If you dont know what Rayman 2 looks like, here is an image i quickly threw up on Gmax today, and is what the game WE create will be similar to.

Once again, VERY serious.. but i am after mostly people who want to learn 3d engine coding which is the biggest concern at the moment, and i need all the help i can get. I had a quick go today, and i am liking what i have accomplished in a very quick time.

There will be NO completion date because this is something alot of us havnt done yet, so we all must learn as much as we can from this experience.

I thought it was about time to give you guys something on what i am doing recently.. but no.. after 8 hours of working on one piece.. without saving.. [as i always do] Photoshop decides to crash. yay.

Sorry people... in the time that i did have free.. it has now disapeared into the dark of nothing.

It was a really cool piece totally done in photoshop.. but it is gone.. gone for good...

I feel like ive been thrown onto a pit of scorpians and eating into a bullet of sin. I just dont get why it does this.. i think they programmed it to crash after a certain amount of time especially if it hasnt saved..

actually...come to think of it.. is there an Auto-save folder anywhere? do YOU know? please help me dammit.. or else.. you shal be buried alive within a spoon of thy mucas.

The first game we are doing is just something sortah simple (22 hours worth of java coding *kgx said.) And we are just making the good old Solitaire. I am also going to design a platform game of some sort which i have named Paranoid.

I have to bring Aphex Twin into my page somewhere. He is the coolest damn musician / DJ / composer i have ever heard around. Everything that he makes is soo orignal, and one of its own kind. He is the biggest inpiration for my art because as i hear the sounds, noises, distractions in his songs it gives you all types of uncontrolable moods that makes you picture in your head the scenes which he had in his whilst he created his masterpieces.

I truely recommend giving him a try at either downloading some of his music, or actually giving a shit about him by buying his albums. I have every single album of his and i will never let these go. If you want to chill out, go acid style, or just jungle rock with drum and bass, he is the man for you and he just gives the mood for anything at anytime.

If you have seen the movie 8mm with Nicolas Cage in it, you will notice there is one song played constantly with a totally twisted filmclip of a guys face stretching everywhere screaming I want your soul... i will eat your soul. This is the creation of Aphex Twin a few years back. This song gave him a remarcable amount of population for others that need that inspiration for something totally different and original.

Experimenting with every type of instrument / loop / riff he can use in a song to explain what he is feeling at the time, or what he can see whilst he tripps out on acid.

Amazingly he has a massive amount of alumbs and singles brought out, some fimiliar, some not even heard of or known at all. The fimiliar ones such as Come To Daddy, or Windowlicker are the most known because of thier pure illness of his own sounds digitaly made in the various amounts of expensive hardware his household consits of.

You can buy his cd's at SANITY or just search around in your local cd / music stores and you will find somethin possibly. If not, you wlill need to order them in because it can be hard trying to find some of the singles or albums he has made. My last twin cd cost me $70 because it had been imported, so if you want the sound of a lifetime you may have to pay the price, but i gaurantee its worth it.

What do you want to know..? what have i been doing and where have i been?

Maby some of you have been asking that..maby not

..lol.. but i have been very buissy over the last couple of weeks including searching for work, doing 3d modeiling and 2d artwork for many companies around the place so i am flat-out doing that every day just about. Had a great Valentines with Corrine, we went out and got some food then went to see a movie... i loved it soo much!

I also have my own business uplcoming and also a very new website which all should be going and online within the next few weeks hopefully wth some help from #banxter.
If that all goes well, then i will have a clothing design which i may team up with *earfight later on and we should have a joined company or something by then, but we are still discussing.
