My name is Sugandya on Hentai Foundry, but I don't use it very often.

Also people, if you're serious about selling or marketing your work, don't use dA Prints or adCast. $20 for 500 clicks is highway robbery. Some higher traffic places go for 2-5 cents a click, as opposed to dA's 25 cents.

OH, and those of you doing prints on dA, you'll do much better going to a print shop on your own and selling them. You can give your customers a better price, have greater control over the quality and still spend less per print.

But, you probably knew that already.

I'm not LEAVING DA FOREVER OMG (maybe I am) but I figured I'd make an announcement about my idleness on this thing. Not that it's important, but whatever.

I need to focus more on my stuff, pursuing bigger and better things, yada yada. I'll still do character art because it's fun, but I want to do things more focused on graphic and web design.

These will not be on dA.

I've developed a deep dislike for dA for a number of reasons that I won't get into.

I'll focus more on my own long ignored website (which is linked on this page), smaller endeavors, and bombarding my hA gallery and my Hentai-Foundry galleries with pornos.

IF you have chara commissions from me, I will get those wrapped up as soon as I can, and I will keep in touch with you about them.

Solo Vacation

My dad offered to send me on a vacation alone for a week. I've been wanting that SO BADLY but I haven't had the time or money. If I had one, I wouldn't have the other.

Can anyone recommend any good solo destinations in the continental US? To help rule things out, I do not like skiing and I'd rather not stay within a large city, though I won't completely rule out either.

From hArtists to Hentai-Foundry

I have been back and forth between hArtists and Hentai-Foundry. I think I'm getting tired of hArtists since the admin closed artist applications. (the first server is full, and he hasn't had time to go purchase the second one yet) Some people like smaller artists communities, but I don't; not really. There's no exciting drama, no new art from fresh faces.

I said in my last entry that my hard drive crashed. Everything got wiped, including all my hentai art. All of it is on my hArtist's account, and I've made no effort to redownload it. Why? Because it's old, gangly, and I know I could do better. WAY better, especially now if I had the time. No, I'm not the best, but I know what I'm capable of given the time ~~and a few xanex~~. That's saying a lot coming from someone who doesn't take ecchi seriously.

I'm considering gradually moving from one adult community to the other, from hA to H-F. I appreciate H-F's approval system to a certain extent. The community is active, there's many fresh faces and I see a lot of my online friends on there. The only thing is that a lot of the community considers hentai as "fine art," something I never do. (I hardly think of anything as 'fine art.' I don't know; there's a sort of ick factor to it. I think I got too traumatized at SCAD in Atlanta.) It's hilarious and yet painful to watch them argue about WHAT IS ART and then see they have 50 rape drawings 'ed or something like that. Some of the critiques are funny/sad/useless though; though some of the ones that deviate from ANATOMY ANATOMY PHOTOSHOP WACOM TABLET are pretty good. Needless to say, there's a lot of action at H-F and that's what I've been looking for in a hentai art community. I have one last pic planned for a few of the artists on hA. But I'd rather get banned.

My hard drive is dead.

My computer is dead. Well, the hard drive is, anyway. (*Note: This is not my computer that I'm on right now)

One day I get up, see this big old hard drive error on my screen. I get to reinstall Windows XP and reformat it. Yay.

I KNEW I should have backed up that last digital commission I had on there. But alas, there it goes. Sayonara. I was in the process of restoring everything. About a week or two later, hard drive is slow. So I think "hey, let me defrag it." That would have worked if the computer hadn't surprise restarted itself...

Or maybe it wouldn't have. It had an error the first time, it likely would have had one again.

Now, I have 3 options:

1) Because I can't install Windows XP on this big external hard drive I got (as far as I know, my BIOS doesn't support a bootable USB drive. I am trying to find a way to work around this), install Linux. :\

2) Sell big external hard drive, buy new internal hard drive (It's a laptop so it shouldn't be too outrageously priced and I can install it myself).

3) Do #1 while waiting for #2. Format hard drive when sale is made.

HMMM...

3 month dA subscription??

I feel like a grade school student saying that.

I found this out Monday morning. After getting what was an hour of sleep from being sick the night before, I went in for my 8AM class. With the hour commute, I was way the hell out of it.

So, I'm sitting cross-eyed in front of the G4 I managed to seat myself without falling down at, and this yellow warning slip falls across my keyboard. Being awake enough to recognize the color yellow and read "WARNING," I rush downstairs to find the culprit who sent it.

I see her, she's one of the staff members and she's hanging around. I hear myself whine "WHAT DID I DO?" after handing it to her.

"Oh, you won an award!"

Being half-asleep, my mind was on one track for the worst, so I kind of panicked. "Oh no! WHAT DID I--"

"You made honor roll!"
"Oh. Oh!"

So now I get to go have a fancy lunch.

That was the last thing I was expecting. Last quarter was my hardest. Animation was time consuming (though I had a reliable partner), Corporate Identity had a rocky start but those were the ones I made As in... and Bs in Design History and Math. I never aim for that; my goal is "get these lambskins and get out." I just zone out and do my work.

Very strange, very unexpected, but I'm not complaining.

While I can't get started on art trades until November, I can still give you insight on what my end of the deal will involve.

Art trading will involve characters from my original universe called DuaL. Most of the characters are robots, but there are a few humans and creatures called gremlins and half-gremlins in the mix.

To execute a trade, you can get in touch with me any way possible, using note or instant messenger. I am open to just about any subject. I will reciporcate your limits. Example:

If it's a g rated trade, it will be a g rated trade.
If you ask for an erotic or bondage trade, I will reflect that trade.
A gay/lesbian themed trade, etc. And so on.

I prefer Paypal and credit/debit cards via paypal (you do not need a paypal account for this). Money orders are seldom accepted unless exceptions are made. No personal checks.
