Woot! First post of 2008 - a late one too.
Okay to make it more appropriate for a beginning, I've just started university and am studying graphic design~ it seems pretty cool so far ^__^

I am aware that i haven't been on deviantART for a very long time. I'm back now XD
I have a Syaoran chibi in the works plus some doodles (nothing special) I probably compile and dump in my scraps. Art-wise I haven't been so motivated because I was in the I-suck-syndrome phase so again, but then I started my paper diary which I forbid myself to use pencil in - so I've become a little better.

Okay! Points to take this year:

Yikes! Many, many message to splice through this weekend o__o
Or on theother side of things I could try stay away from the computer a little more. It's amazing how much stuff you can get done when you forbid yourself from even accessing the computer by all means. I did that on Labour weekend, and stayed up most of the time in desperation for the completion of my art boards. As of Tuesday, I was free from it XD *whee* All 3 of my boards were handed in ready for marking... whoas.

What else did I do on Labour weekend...? Oh yip, I went to Armageddon for a bit with ~starrybluediamond and it was pretty cool considering it was my first time going there. We started off by watching the screening of the FMA movie but I got a little agravated by the wrestling sound. Even though it was only sound I could hear I was extremely freaked out - so painful sounding and not to mention LOUD o__o. Oh yeah, we went on the beanie babies treasure hunt too and got stuck MANY MANY MANY times. It took ages to find them o__o and it was quite shameful knowing a little 8 year old kid could see them all but not us 17 year olds >__<. Waaah/// Can't you tell I'm very very bad at recounts? But yeah, it was pretty cool! Next year I plan to go on the Monday XD

I'm tired, have to sleep soon and gotta plan something for my cousins to do tomorrow since we practically never have anything in mind... surprisingly she enjoys Yakitate Japan! She said she didn't like anime at all... o.o Bah, we'll probably end up drawing coz I'm ever so FUN FUN FUN. Or play a little role play hahaha.// And ponder about the universe and find random paranormal info...

I'm still contemplating my career choice and even if its a year more before I have to move on from High School, its probably a good idea to start now~ Currently, I'm all for an artistic career but there's this deep feeling within me saying that its not the right choice. I mean, sure I'm not the best but I could always improve. o___o I still have that decision to make with my last subject slot - either Social Science or Classical Studies. Can't decide >___<

A few weeks ago I went to the Auckland Uni Open Day and it seems pretty cool. I had a look around Elam School of Fine Arts near there and it seems like an awesome place to further my knowledge on the arts. Whitecliffe seems pretty good too - for graphic design and fashion design, etc... so many post-high school choices to choose~

And then today, I had a look at Freelance Animation School. AWESOME.
I had a tour around the place, and the techniques and stuff look pretty cool to learn. Like, with the in-betweening technique where you have to figure out what movement has to go between two main movements, if that makes any sense. XD Waaaah... and there's the clay models that you mould into your characters so it can guide you when you draw it... and bah.. lots of cool stuff XD And the animations of 3rd years were pretty good - inspiring too~ Yikes. Only 2 minutes of cartoon would take a loooooooong time to render. I's nice to know its all worth it though. The final results are just amazing XD I'd probably see cartoons in a slightly different light now - in accordance to the skill, time, and extra pairs of hands needed to make one.

I still don't know where I will end up eventually - but I'll have to make the right decision.
I might not go into the artistic industry >____<

I kinda regret not taking any sciences, but I realise that I've already made that choice so I'll stick to it.

One thing.
I just hope I don't end up a hobo.

Liek... WTF.

I know I will take ages to get used to this new layout. the old layout was just so "deviantART". Now, it's changed - WOWs.. o.o I'm going to havta get my head around this one. *twitch*
I don't quite know what to say.

Edit: Well, it ain't that bad. I'm getting used to the features just randomly browsing around. I like how you don't have to go to another page to zoom into a deviation. Makes it much easier, but I need access to everything on every page o.o! I mean, the editting of stuff like journal, settings, yadayada... I hope that they get everything together soon, then I'll be alright with this whole movement. I tend to react slowly to change, not knowing whether I should go this way or the other way - but now I know... XD

In other news, I've been making puppet videos XD It's fun - I love doing the voices for characters and stuff - sound a little immature and all but OMG - YOU SHOULD TRY IT! I made a Bereznoff (from Ouran High School Host club) Puppet and aww man, i gotta admit - it's AWESOME XD I'm thinking of making another one... *hmph* and when I get hold of a camera, I'll post it along as well ^______^.

In the meanwhile, I have so much stuff to do at school - mainly because I've been lazy and not doing anything AT school. Like in art, I should be having fun and drawing - but I have a total idea block. We're doing the urban theme and I'm like stuck for subject matter... traffic lights seem interesting.... o.o

This year, I will concentrate harder! I will actually listen to what the teacher says - despite one my friends says that I already do x_x. So basically my resolution for school is to be a total nerd XD. 'Cause last year I was leaving everything till last minute - and that's not good. Getting half and hour sleep ain't good either.

These days - especially these holidays, I haven't been able to sleep early. I mean, who knows what it is. Maybe it's the fact that I can work better at night time rather than the day - or maybe its because I still haven't gotten used to the daylight savings time, even though it was like.. OCTOBER!

Christmas is coming up but for some odd reason, it doesn't quite seem christmassy enough. In fact, it seems a little too morbid to be christmas just yet - around here anyways. Everyone seems a lil grouchy and shit... it could be the workload or the pressure to buy pressies for people.

Actually, I like giving people presents. If they end up liking the gift I give, I end up extra-happy which makes my day all giddy and such. Yeah, sounds lame but so true.

I'm going to handmake my pressies this year. If I go buy them, I'm more than likely to buy crappy as - I-didn't-know-what-to-get-you gifts. Erm like... tree decor..

If all else fails, I'm giving out handmade cards!!

I've got so much fabric homework to do, and by hope, I will get it done today. I'm not helping much by sitting here in front of the computer all day, but you know, I gotta type stuff. Yes, thts it.

You know the other day, these people were making fun of some "asian chick" about how she lost her pens and kept shouting at that person to give them back. They were seriously mocking her. I find that really sad. I mean, well, I don't know if I'm speaking for everyone, but pens are valuable. Especially the gel pen variety or anything at all. If I lost any of my drawing materials, I probably go psycho (eh, maybe I'm exaggerating). Louise knows this I think.. do you?? Well, I draw in practically every single school lesson I have, except maybe maths because you do some darn much in that one there.

Do you stick pens and calculators into your shirt pockets?: I need my trusty pencil.. so I put it in my pocket once, but now we have these new uniform skirts and if you put ANYTHING in the pockets, it will pop out.
Does your mom buy your clothes?: She pays for them; I usually pick them out but then she disses my style a little bit T_T
Are you on the computer a lot?: *nervously laughs* what? are you looking at me? anyone who knows me will know that i spend way too much time on the computer. I'm supposed to do homework and I see no ones on the computer. So I tell myself I'm only going to be on for a few minutes but then that extends to 2 hours.
