That was kinda crazy/random.

On saturday, we had a nice lazy day until about 2 or so when we went to downtown Bethlehem to see the History of my home town. We had dinner at The Melting Pot - which is (yes you guessed it) fondue and DELICIOUSLY yummy. Then later that night Matt came over and the 3 of us drove to Mike's show in Clementon, NJ.... good lord that was a drive, lol. It felt like we had all been friends for years and made me happy to know she was fitting in so damn well

Sunday was sad She went home but we are counting down to our next visit If not before the wedding, definitely after <3

Mike and I were in Mexico this week... GORGEOUS place, wonderful people and lots of fun. This was a planned vacation since like.. February BEFORE I got laid off, so no, we spent no money save for parking at the Newark airport.

The flight back was less than par... the pilot didn't warn the flight crew about take off, and due to heavy-ass winds in Newark we literally did a touch and go on the way back. We came close to landing then BAM acceleration and we're climbing. As it turns out, Newark was operating on ONE run way and the plane that was SUPPOSED to take off, didn't in time so if we hadn't taken off again, we could have crashed. Wonderful, huh? I thought so too.

While in Mexico... I beat the new Kingdom Hearts game for the DSi - 358/2. EXCELLENT game. Any one out there who might be bashing it because you DONT PLAY AS THE MAIN CHARACTERS can seriously sit down and STFU. This game delivers everything from the Organization's point of view and shows you the back story behind ALL of it. It is the link between Chain of Memories to KH2 and I adore it. The end cutscenes are both the battle with Riku at the Tower (where Riku wants to know why Roxas can use the keyblade) and the start of Roxas's LAST 7 days before the end of Summer Vacation - ring any bells? Beginning of KH2 maybe? I applaud Square Enix on this game as it is seriously one of my favorites. I adore it. And if you like the KH series, GO FUCKING PLAY IT.

Off in the job world... one of my best friends set me up with someone who works for ADP - a payroll company who is world wide. I've already been contacted, have filled out the application and of course took the assessment. Wonderful! May not be unemployed much longer... cross some fingers!

Otherwise... I really have been good. This unemployed thing sucked in the beginning, but eh, I'm adjusting.

Apparently there is an agent in the Cherry Hill (NJ)/Philadelphia area who is relocating to my area. He writes over 200k a year, and the company refuses to lose him. THEREFORE... someone needs to be kicked out so he can move in. ERGO MY LAY OFF.

Yes, a bullshit reason, I know. I was pissed. of course they played off the whole "well you have the lowest numbers in the office aside from the manager" excuse, but its still the bottom line of being kicked out so someone can come in. My argument was that we work on a FISCAL year (July 1 - June 30) and I was laid off THREE MONTHS into the new year. I have 45k on the books, who was to say I wouldn't hit my target or exceed it by JUNE?

Aside from the fact that it felt like they were trying to push as much CGI as possible into the movie - it also felt like they were trying to combine more than one movie into this one. It started with the same Transformers flare (and starts in BETHLEHEM, PA not Singapore ~_n) and that same action sequence.. but the new Autobots that "came in during the 2 year lull" are anything but par.

They expanded on the vocals for all Autobots - expanded their personalities - and even went as far as making 2 of them stereotypical African Americans. Now how do I know this? Because of the slang, ghetto language they use and the fact that when they are in full Autobot giant robot viewing, they have a GOLD front tooth - could that be any more of a stereotype? Optimus Prime also had some lines that I could NEVER hear him saying in the cartoon or the first movie... they were very much out on a limb.

The language is anything but good wholesome family time. There is much more crude adult humor in this movie than the last one and this is not the type of movie I plan to take my younger brother to.

As for the movie itself... It had many sequences where I sat wondering if I was watching Transformers or Terminator. Towards the end I questioned if this was Transformers or Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade - it felt like they tried to incorporate as many box office hits into one thing.

It didn't work.

Not for me any way.

Out of five stars I'd give it a 2.5/3 ... 3 is pushing it. The explosions and actions scene are great and good for the theater's surround sound.. but the movie lacks a whole lot that the first one delivered in far more ways than you could imagine.

Compared to the first movie, this one is crap.

I'm angry.

I'm upset.

I can't stop crying.

And somehow every fucking emotion I can muster up the strength to feel is foreign...

I feel numb.

It will be 10 years this August that Michael - someone who had been considered a close if not best friend - committed suicide... and just tonight, approximately 5 hours earlier.. my mother informed me that Bryan - another high school friend whom I had been close with - committed suicide.

I want to fucking scream.

Death is s subject I suck ass at to begin with...
...but when it hits home, when it hits family and friends.. I feel like I just shut down.

Death sucks, yeah I know that, and yeah everyone goes through it, everyone has to experience the dealings and repercussions after it happens...

But you know what?

Knowing someone is sick or old and dies, is a lot easier to fucking take than knowing someone TOOK their life.

I can deal with my grandmother's passing 4 years ago. I can deal with the fact that she died from cancer and she was sick for a while.

What I can't fucking deal with is the fact that someone else I was friends with - someone I was close with - decided to take their fucking life.

And thats something I don't think I can ever understand.

I hate going through this again. I hate knowing how his family has to feel... I hate knowing I'll see his mother on Wednesday... his brother... his dad... his sister... and I hate knowing that when I see them its going to feel like it had 10 years ago.

Fucking.

I wish it were on better terms... however its not. Turns out the lovely Ryan (the girlfriend he moved out to Oregon to be with) was turning quite shady the last few weeks or so.. and he suspected her of foul play.

So when the poor guy confronted her, she flipped shit and broke up with him.

Now he's coming home.

In the time I've known Matt, I've NEVER heard him get upset.. and Sunday when we were on the phone, he was crying. It was quite the awakening for me.

But now he's coming home for good. He's had time to think about the bullshit he was being put through and he realized that the thing she's doing to him is exactly what she did to the guy she left FOR Matt in the first place.

So yes, I'm so uberly excited to see my best guy friend in the world again... and a bit sad it didn't work out for him.. but I'm glad he'll be home.

And if you plan to leave comments going "Well they made 5 movies, they ran out of material" you're fucking wrong, okay? They definitely had enough material for this one... and they totally could have used it in a better way to get the story out. So just chill and read [spoilers ahead]

If you have been paying attention to the last four movies, the fifth and final chapter of Saw is a good way to end it - even if it does leave it open for a sixth, seventh, etc. There is no death defying closure at the end. There is no murder or death of the alleged Jigsaw, it simply ends with one last 'game' that has a meaning behind it far greater than the man caught in it could comprehend (obviously since he dies in it).

This fifth installment answers a few questions collected from the last four, but also leaves you walking away with just as many questions as the other ones did. The fact that there is no solid closure, really bothers me. The [i]game[/i] that is played during the movie was unnecessary and unorthodox in the sense of Saw movies - there was no real need for it. If you pay attention to the other Saw movies, you know that everything happened for a reason, and that there was always an interior motive causing these things to happen. This five-person kidnapping/game only linked together the five people, but had nothing to do with anything else - very unSaw like. This main game, in all honesty, felt like filler... just something to have going on in the background while the story unfolded.

The back story - the whole reason as to why Detective Hoffman is chosen by John Tuck to help carry out these 'rehabilitation exercises' lies in grey areas. They do explain why John chose Hoffman, but they don't at the same time. We discover the man who is killed in the beginning, is killed in a 'Jigsaw Look a Like' device. We discover that Hoffman is the one that set it up to copy cat a Jigsaw scene, and he gets caught by Jigsaw himself. We also learn that the man who was put in this contraption is the man who murdered Hoffman's sister and got out of jail on a technicality (which obviously left big brother pissed off). What we never find out is WHY John Tuck is following Detective Hoffman in the first place - HOW did Tuck know all be did about Hoffman and his family? More unanswered questions.

The movie as a whole was somewhat unsatisfying. In the scheme of things, I expected more from it. I expected it to link together everything and I expected it to leave me feeling complete - I wanted to walk away satisfied with the plot as a whole and instead I felt uneasy.

I really won't be surprised if there is a sixth or seventh movie. They clearly left the ending open for more with scenes that I won't go into too much detail about. I just hope if they do decide to drag it out even further, they'll do it the right way instead of how they did it this time: unfulfilling and disappointing.

Definitely a lot calmer now that i had time to sleep on everything. I suppose Mike is right (even though I hate to admit that)... it sucks that they took him, but it's better because now he has a home INSIDE... they'll get him all his shots.. and take care of him better - something that yes, I could have done, but thanks to Mike's mom's "NO PETS IN THE HOUSE" rule there's no way he'd ever had the 'nice house' atmosphere he deserves.

Mike had a point last night on the phone.. he said "out of all the cats outside.. which one would you want to have a home" and of course I said Dexter. Sooooo yeah. No more Dexy cat at Mike's.. but at least his life won't be threatened by cars or wild animals anymore.

Vegas was awesome And yes I did come home broke.. mmm $67 in my bank account currently to be exaxt.. *cough* >.> but IT WAS FUN AND THATS WHAT MATTERS D< anyway Remember the drama before I went? ([link] - refresh yourself!) Yeah well, the situation was NEVER addressed and we basically ignored each other until Saturday afternoon - so all friday night, all Saturday morning she and I didn't speak... then we both started drinking (i had a margarita in a mega ultra super coolasshit Pirate mug) and she called and was like "OMG THE POOL AT THE HOTEL IS AWESOME" and then all of a sudden all was better...

BUT BEFORE I GET INTO STORIES...

Mike and I enjoyed a Gondola ride at the Venetian (where the ceiling when you walk in is painted like the Sistine Chapel).. we went to see LOVE - the Cirque Du Solei 'Beatles' edition.. which was absolutely PHENOMENAL, seriously.. Beatles + Acrobatics = MAJOR ULTRA WIN. We also went to see Phantom of the Opera, which made me cry.. not because of the story line But because it's like my favorite Opera and seeing it live was too amazing for words.

Resort wise we took a cab ride down the strip to the Game Works - which is this HUGE arcade (that smelled really bad) and hung there for a bit... after shopping at CocaCola World and M&Ms World. Then we proceeded to walk up the strip visiting the Planet Hollywood, Paris and a few other casinos. We had lunch at the Bellagio and watched their amazing fountain performance (every 30 minutes it puts on a show where the water is synchronized to the music), groaned as we walked through Caesar's - WHICH IS TOO HUGE FOR WORDS... and just hung mostly at Treasure Island, the Venetian or the Wynn.

It was an AMAZING trip (the Adoptable stalkers on PI will be happy knowing that since I plan to release new stuff today xD)

NOW GATHER AROUND ITS STORY TIME! *makes room and offers popcorn*

Saturday proved how much of a PSYCHO Kelly is (again see back to that journal entry about what happened the week before).

The guys (Josh & Mike) were joking about going to a strip club while they were out there.. since the strip clubs in Vegas are supposed to be like OMG WOW AMAZING and all that shit. So me, being the NORMAL one, was like "Yeah go for it..." And I told Josh there were 3 rules if they were going to a Strip Club - 1) Mike better be next to me when I wake up, 2) They better not call us from jail or come home hand cuffed & 3) NO TOUCHING

Kelly wasn't very fond of it.. but after her and Josh discussed it at dinner, she told him "yeah you can go, I won't get mad."

So we all did our own thing the whole day and by the time 12:45ish rolled around, Kelly and I were beat to shit - I mean you would be too if you walked all day in the 90effing degree sun out in desert land. So us girls stayed in the hotel, and the guys - around 1:30ish - said they were gonna go out. They both wanted to check out the Casino Royal (which was a dump according to them) across the street since it was a Bond Movie, etc. So they left between 1:30 and 1:45 or so

Kelly and I chatted til about 2 and then we both passed out. 4:35 AM rolls around and I get up to go to the bathroom when I realize Mike and Josh aren't back yet. So that immediately wakes Kelly and she's all groggy and "what time is it" so I tell her - and she is working into instant PANIC/PISSED mode. I tried calling Mike but it rang twice then went to voice mail (I then tried again and he didnt pick up) - she got on the phone with Josh and the conversation went as follows:

"Baby where are you its 4:30 in the morning"
"We were down in the Casino"
"You were there all night?"
"Well no.. we went to a strip club... then we came here."
"Oh. So were you going to tell me about that? Or were you just going to lie to me about it? Why did I have to DRAG it out of you?"

This is when they got to the room - because apparently they were IN THE ELEVATOR when I tried to call Mike (hence it going to voicemail). I did my potty thing after opening the door and through the lovely paper thin walls I can hear Kelly bitching out Josh about how he was "sneaking out behind her back" and "lying to her" about going to the strip club.

Basically - here is the situation in a nutshell.

I'm leaving for Vegas on the 20th with Mike, his best friend Josh and Josh's girlfriend Kelly. A few days ago Kelly texts me saying theres a guy at work that can "hook us up" in Vegas - I was like, alright, whatever thats cool - not thinking anything of it, because people who talk like that usually don't come through from my experience.

Then a day or so later she texts me with "who's name is our reservation under" - and I tell her mine (because at the time I was under the impression that it WAS under my name)

Next day (YESTERDAY) she comes back to me and says "The guy told me there is no reservation under your name, whats the reservation number" -- keep in mind I *do not* work on Mondays and there is NO PHYSICAL way for me to get this magical reservation number. But now I'm starting to feel weird about this.. theres no need for a res. # from a hotel when they can look it up by who is staying in the room. So I tell her, "I can't get you the number because I'm not at work. And I don't know how I feel about this guy knowing our information."

The text I get back is this: "Well can you tell me tomorrow?" (notice how she completely IGNORES the fact that I don't want to give this guy the info?)

Me: "No. Mike and I aren't comfortable telling this guy our info, and besides a name at the hotel should be sufficient enough."

Her: "Well apparently it's not. Have you tried calling them yourself? And whats the big deal about the number?" (again ignoring what I had to say)

So by this point Josh gets on the phone with Mike... Mike tells him to just give the hotel our NAMES (like i had said) and they should be fine. 20 MINUTES LATER Josh calls back to say they found the reservation under Mike's name (again, not something I was expecting) and everything is fine.... here's where it gets FUn... yes, with a capitol F-U (her texts to me will be italicized)

"I don't appreciate your attitude. its unwarranted. I paid for my vacation and therefore deserve to have my questions answered. And ps it wasnt under your name"

First of all I wasnt even at the office to get you anything. Secondly I dont appreciate you treating me like i dont know how to do my job. You can fuck off. I dont like random strangers wanting to know my business. You and Josh might be trusting but mike and i are not.

"And the true melissa comes out! All we were attempting to do was make our plans. We have just as much right as you do. I find you insulting. How dare you imply I don't have good judgement."


I don't believe i need to be harassed about this on my day off. You could have easily called the hotel and given them all our names until they found it. You didn't need me to hold your hand through the process. I'm not trying to be a bitch I just think you were out of line.

"Out of line? I asked you the other day. You told me it was under your name. He said there was no reservation. I contacted you as a friend. And you attacked me. I must say I am shocked by your behavior."

Because it was supposed to be. I didn't know it wasn't until Josh told Mike he found it under his (Mike). I didn't attack you. I just don't like random strangers knowing MY information and neither does Mike.


1) I was NOT at work to get the damn number for her
2) I REPEATEDLY told her I was NOT comfortable with her giving this info out to someone she HARDLY KNOWS
3) I insult her? She talked down and belittled me by implying I do not know how to do my job.
4) Her little {ps} part makes her childish.. I love how she's a walking hypocrit by this point
5) "How dare you imply I have bad judgment" -- what I COULD HAVE said to show her how vindictive I can be Well Kelly... my faith in YOUR judgment died the night you decided to take the rest of your Xanax and chase it with a bottle of Vodka
(yes she did do that)
6) I love how no one gave a shit that Mike and I didn't want to give this guy our info.. and how she turned it all around to attempt at making ME the bad guy

So basically... at this point Mike is ready to cancel the whole trip... I'm not sure what we're even doing anymore.. but I can say that I am done with her. I have a VERY high tolerance for people and I'm very patient.. but I draw the line at stupidity. And anyone who decides to belittle my abilities to do my job does not deserve my time.

The viewing/funeral was sad. I cried when I got to the casket... and when I walked over to give my condolences Christina jumped up to hug me. Ugggh - death sucks the way it is... I couldn't imagine how I would be if I lost a parent. The closest I've been to relative that died.. was my best guyfriend Mike back in like '99.

On a brighter note.. the church where it was held is the church Mike and I will be married in - and it is gorgeous.

My best friend, Nicole, and I went out for dinner the other night... I asked her to be my maid of honor And yes, she said yes, haha.. now I feel like this stuff can actually get moving. its a bit.. surreal really. Things are slowly coming together. We still need to search for a good hall.. but we have a few narrowed down and a few crossed off the list due to circumstances we might not be able to control - such as this GORGEOUS place... that has habit of flooding if it rains too much and June is MAJOR 'flash flood' season for my area. *sigh*

So life is good.

My promotion is good. I got my first bonus check from it ^__^ whoo hoo! and that is all xD

I'm upset for her.. but also kind of bitter. Christina has been a VERY good friend of mine since 2001 or so when I started working at Bath & Body Works as a manager. I actually ended up hiring her and we became really good/close friends. Over the years, my two best friends, her and myself all became like inseparable.

Well.. she, back then, always used her dad's heart condition as an excuse for doing or not doing something. She never wanted to do something because it would "upset her dad" and "his heart will get worse" - it was like a crutch to her, just some excuse to throw out there that justified why or why she didn't do something.

Kind of like the boy who cried wolf... we actually all stopped believing what she said about it because she used it ALL THE TIME.

Well... over the last year or so, she stopped talking to all of us.

And now I get to read her dad's obit in the paper. >_> ugh

This morning.. as I was taking my MacBook out of its bag... it slipped and basically crushed my big toe into my wonderful hardwood floors.


The scenario? My toe is now wrapped in like 5 bandaids and after 30 minutes of nausea and sweating, the bleeding finally stopped. Its still throbbing like no tomorrow.. but at least it stopped bleeding.


Thank GOD I have hardwood floors in my room... cleaning up the mess from the carpet would have been oh so much MORE fun.

Well kind of.

Soooo from the 12th - 19th I will be MIA... in Miami (ha ha ha, who's airport code is MIA, god I kill me) And I need it.

Things have been good, otherwise, busy but good (not busy-fun like *Sanctioned has been, just busy-busy). My parents have FINALLY (I started writing this at 8:00 AM.. its now 9:23 PM... wow) ... anyway. My parents have finally finished our kitchen.. after a year or so the counters, back splash, cabinets and floor are finally complete. it looks soooooo much better now...

and now on a blah note, i totally lost my tablet pen i swear i put it in my laptop bag on Sunday before going to work... but by the time i got to mike's it wasn't there soooo i thought maybe i lost it at work - no. maybe it's in the car - no. my room - no. so its lost.. seriously lost.

*ahem* So I've made friends with two FBI agents over the last few weeks... yes please don't sit there jaw dropped, let me explain. Back in April a gentleman came in looking for air fare from Philadelphia to Tel Aviv, Isreal. He seemed decent... very nice, older, kinda, etc.. but weird. I just got this strange vibe from him. Half way through our conversation he bends down and says "Yes, Father" and "Thank you, Father" ... no I'm not exaggerating.

As we continue.. he tells me how he was in this accident that should have killed him. How he lost 5 pints of blood, was in a coma for 12 days, woke up and walked out 3 days later with a connection to God.

He believed he spoke to God.

Not too creepy... but creepy enough. So at the end when I run his tickets and what not, I joke and say "I better not see you on the news" to which he replies "Oh don't worry, on Christmas I plan on pissing off 1.6 million people."

Cue the red flags.

So the FBI was called... they've investigated him and have concluded that he's just weird, but not a threat (we'll see)... so thats my week so far. It was especially interesting when he came back in this week >_> oy.

I work full time as a Travel Consultant... this morning when I arrived at work we had no power. None. Not even phones. Apparently the transformer in the middle of the night caught fire and burned up causing everyone in our general area to be without power. They originally told us it would be back up by 1:00 pm... so we all agreed to go do whatever, meet for lunch at 12 and then head to the office to see how things were going.

Well lunch was fabulous.

We ate at this new restaurant near the mall, had Peach Sangria, gossiped, etc. When we got back to the office, we still didn't have power Turns out it wasn't going to be back until several hours later... so my boss told us to go home Paid for 8 hours... "worked" for 3... home by 2ish.

T'was a good day

Onward to Contest Information! I have gotten a LOT of positive feedback on the forum regarding ideas for it, and I've nailed it down to a few. I will be posting a poll later today with the final 4-5 ideas,if you are going to participate in the contest PLEASE participate on the poll - this will help me gage which theme is going to be used.

The contest will begin June 15th (Father's Day) and run until July 30th - I think that time frame is plenty to allow artists to create new pieces for this... I am willing to extend it to August 15th for a whole 2 months - if a majority prefers 2 months, then it will be 2 months (feedback required)

I must have missed the memo that stated that this week was going to be National Be a PRICK to Melissa Week. I'm so fucking sick of people being assholes, and childish and dwelling on things that happened THREE FUCKING YEARS AGO. This rant is brought to you by my best friend's brother being a dick to me over something that happened well over 3 years ago. No, it has nothing to do with me and him, it had to do with me... and the fact that this kid road his bike in front of moving traffic and I happened to be the DECENT person to skid to a stop so he wouldn't die. Needless to say he had a run in with the bumper of my car and now... THREE FUCKING YEARS LATER he is still giving me shit for it.

You know what? Grow the fuck up and get the hell over it. I seriously HATE people. I really really do. And Morgan wonders WHY I don't come out with them as much anymore. Well here's a news flash: Your brother is an immature prick that needs to grow up. Funny thing is.. he jut got married to. Can't wait to see his fucking kid grow up.

The other person that pissed me off this week.. and who is in a constant state of ASSHOLE is a guy who I was close with in college. He opted to stay up drinking Saturday night and text me some pretty harsh shit Sunday morning. So I told him off and he opted to say more shit. I'm just tired of it.

This is why I have very LITTLE people in my life that I consider friends. This is why I always say "just because I'm NICE to you does NOT mean I like you" -- Yeah I realize thats harsh and a lot of you could look at that and be like well Gee Melissa... you're nice to me.. does that mean you really dont like me? ... no not the case. He seemed more excited, I seemed more worried.

It has been 20 years since Harrison Ford placed any time into the character that came to be a legend... it made me worried that this fourth movie would be the worst of them all.

I am pleasantly pleased to announce that I was fooled.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull delivered more than I could have asked for. Not only did they stick with the classic Indy attitude (and you know what I'm talking about), but they played Harrison Ford against rising talent Shia LaBeouf who rivaled the sarcasm on all new levels. Spielberg and Lucas also tastefully included images, ideas and names from previous movies which helped to tie everything together.

Although at times the movie seemed to get a little too far fetched, it was all in all something worth seeing in the theaters and will definitely be in my collection once it hits DVD.

This movie is a must see. It is good for all ages and will have you on the edge of your seat and in stitches. Don't miss out.

Its another 3 day weekend for me <33 and it's MUCH needed. work has been kinda crazy. the office is in a bit of turmoil because the one woman does NOT help out. she'll literally let the phone ring 10 times and wait for one of us to get off so we can answer it, then pick it up herself. and frankly its driving the rest of us crazy.

but anyway! Mike is in the studio all day Saturday.. I will be heading down to Philly to spend the day with future "sister in law" Kelly (his bestfriend's girlfriend) and we should be home sometime late Sunday.

O....M....G.... our computers in the office were down today since 2pm on and even thought we left at 6pm, they STILL were not back online. i got NOTHING accomplished Dx I have like 8 people I have to call back, payments that needed to be made... it was horrendous.

i WAS writing my starter for the Pac/Mac/Dee/Frost/Baddens SL... but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO couldn't email it to myself and the computer decided to NOTbe able to save it, so now i have to start the hell over. my god could it get any worse?!
