so i was all cheery and happy and such, because tomorow is me and my gf katy's 2 year anniversary, and i had just gone to melbourne to visit her and spend NYE together. all good.
then i have to come back to reality, back to adelaide, back to my job, back to being without her. this not so good. although im not minding the pay rise i negotiated with boss-man.
so anyways back to being today the 4th and tomorow the 5th our anniversary. home from work, quite happily designing u2 tshirts for the concert in march on the puter, listening to yes dance music (ministry of sound 2006 annual). phone rings. *calls back katy* (shes at work on a break) we talk for a bit about normal stuff as usual, then i remind her its our anniversary tomorow. i kinda feel stupid that im excited about it at this point, and start to wonder if i should be. she tells me she was going to go out but i say i would like her to stay home and she doesnt hesitate in saying she will. good. then she has to go quickly, not her fault.
*hang up* feeling quite crap now for some reason, feeling the urge and need to share how im feeling on DA.....opens the journal tab, starts this. feels the urge to listen to the distillers, if anyone knows them, they arent the happiest/sweetest band ever. and now i cant focus on finishing designing the tshirt. gah.
i dont know if u will get a point or moral or great ending out of this journal. it was just for me to verbal diarrohea all over the place. i think i missed the bowl. but i got it out nonetheless. if u feel the need to make me smile i wont stop you. im not feeling very how should we say SPECIAL at the moment. kinda like im being pushed to the side a bit. im sick of waiting for my life to start i want it now, i want you to see that (when you read this MILK, if you do, call me)

Okay, folks. Here's the deal.

By now, you've heard that Scott Jarkoff, aka °jark, is now a FORMER Staff Member.

I'm not privy to the whys, wherefores, and whatever-the-hells are going on behind the scenes here. Don't ask me anything about that. I know probably just as much as you do.

DeviantArt, in my opinion, is becoming less about COMMUNITY and more about CORPORATION.

So what we need to do is bring back THE COMMUNITY.

Here's my suggestion.

On August 7th, DA turns five years old. Five years for a website like this should be a grand affair, one big event.

So don't submit anything on August 7th.

I'm talking a print, a deviation, a scrap...nothing.

Instead, just leave a comment. Visit a user's page and just say hi.

If someone wants to buy a subscription that day, I'm all in favor or it. It'll keep the servers going, and anything that keeps the hamster running is a good thing.

BUT...I think folks shouldn't buy any prints. No print subscriptions. That goes against the COMMUNITY theme for the day.

We want to put the COMMUNITY back into DA.

If you're in favor of this, if you believe in the power this COMMUNITY has, then join me. Post this in your own journal. Spread the word to everyone, with a and a .

there is the little kitten thats been hanging around out house lately, eating our other cats food and sleeping in our flowers. you can see him in my latest deviation.... Jag Trash
ok the name....well i had a dream about it (not sure if its a girl or boy) and its name was "trash" so i kinda liked it as a name. then one day i was playing with it outside, trying to hold it, and it reminded me of a cute little jaguar, so i had the other name "jag".
then just last night, while i was at work, some dickhead from down the road came to our house and said "ohh we've been looking for a kitten, do you mind if we have that one?" pointing at little Jag, and so they took it.
i talked to my dad and convinced him i would look after it and pay for all of the medical bills and food, and that it would come with me wherever i go, like melbourne.
now i just need to keep knocking at the peoples door to get back my little kitty. i miss the little turd, his face was so tiny, and his eyes were the cutest.
whats funny is my girlfriend =miLk-inc is more interested in me getting Jag back than me sometimes

well, last week i spent my days in melbourne working and having the best time of my life.
after visiting all the boring places of melbourne and businesses involved in the workflow of where i work in adelaide, i got to see my girlfriend .

we met up on the thursday night and went out to dinner with her friends. we wandered off together around the shopping centre and got this done Sim.4.Katy
we were gone for quite a while, and her friends started to get the idea and work out where we went hehehe

i caught up with her again on the friday night and slept over her cousins house with her and this is where ill leave that part out.....

so the main reason for sleeping over was to make sure she met my parentals. we went out for dinner on the saturday night with them.
we told them about us it wasnt hard to see, but im glad they know.

so now im "home" back in adelaide missing her like crazy and her missing me. it sucks but at least its getting closer to being with her, and my parents know the most important person in my life now.

ok so the last journal that had this type of a title was dissapointing news and i was upset about a result. turns out that it doesnt matter and i GOT IN TO DEAKIN UNI in melbourne and i get to do what i love best Visual Arts!!!!!!!!! i applied for adelaide universities and tafes as well as melbourne tafes and universities and i got my FIRST preference in all of them!!!!!!!!
