Michael and I are still living, loving and laughing in Cincinnati, OH! I have my kids back and they are in school. I respect their ability to jump right into new social atmospheres and make new friends. It's something I find particularly hard to do. Breaking the ice, idle chit-chat - I'm not very good at it.

After I finished reading Tuesdays With Morrie by Mitch Albom, I watched the movie on YouTube, then I watched the Ted Koppel interviews.  What else can I say about them other than this: I feel as though I have a piece of Morrie in my heart now.

Some interesting prospects have come our way.  I had this weird foreshadowing dream last winter.  I have them quite often, nightmares that prepare me for what I will soon be faced with.  People have a million theories why this happens, but I know I'm not the only one. No special powers.  But at the end of the dream, there was a sense of overwhelming calm and serenity.

I am feeling that now.

I am who I want to be. I am always around people I want to be around.

I'm taking better care of myself. I'm eating better and getting lots of exercise. Mike and I adopted Charm from the Humane Society.  She was a bit skittish, but very lovable and sweet.  Unfortunately, she was sick from the time she was a kitten.  One of the things I loved most about Charm was how whenever we were in the kitchen, she would try to get our attention by rolling around on the living room floor, striking poses with her feet.

I just finished a painting... I don't know if I can scan it because it has textured paint and glossy portions.  I'll see if I can get a good pic of it with a camera.  I've also been working on some Apophysis fractals again thanks to Claire Jones who inspired me with her Julia tutorial.

I'm so damn busy.  Two weeks ago I was in Denver, then the weekend after that I had an art fair and made some nice spending cash!  The weekend that just past, Mike and I went to Toronto for a company summer party on Queens Island and then we spent some time in Windsor with a couple friends of ours.  Now we're back in the states and it's back to the daily grind until next weekend when we have every intention of partying some more and exhausting ourselves all over again.

So I decided to run up to the mall to get my husbands watch fixed.  So during my lunch break, I packed the kids in the car and made my way across town.

I get to the mall and find myself in that predicament where I either park a mile from the entrance, or park between two SUVs.  I have a small Saturn so it's easy to fit into tight places, but I always worry about my kids getting in and out of the back seat.  All I need to have to pay for a new paint job on one of those beasts just because a burst of wind blows my car door against the side of it.
