But I do think there are some artists out there that wanna jump to that "I'm too important to reply to such low-brow art comments such as 'wow, I really dig the way you used that texture, but the hand looks a little off.'"

What does anybody know of art, really? I've never had art lessons. I can't even honestly call drawing a hobby right now. But god knows I'd grovel at a comment from a 'well-known' artist like it was the word of the messiah. An obviously popular and loved messiah.

I don't know. I wish there was a re-vamped version of dA where I wouldn't be afraid to fail. I just want feedback. I don't wanna get buried in a mountain of Sonic the Hedgehog fan art done by 10-year-olds or snapshots of a 13-year-old emo girl with too much free time and a camera. It can't be too much to ask for, can it?

I brought along my tablet, so do expect stuff eventually. I only have class three hours a day, except when I have a lab, then it's five hours a day.
And I have no friends there, so hellooo free time.
I think I will also start a Gaia-Online art shop. Because lying on the bed for hours listening to music, texting, and eating twinkies is not all that healthy. Might as well burn out my eyes in front of the computer too.

College is effing expensive, yo. Student loans don't help all THAT much.
And I barely got in anyways, in a school where an average student had a GPA of 3.58, mine was 2.91 Go me! And books cost a lot too, $400.
And I am in an engineering dorm. My roommate's major is Aerospace Engineering. *sigh* My Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology major sounds cool too, though.

I'm trying to add something more to my pieces. Some sort of movement, they are all so static. But at the same time, I want to establish feelings of the subject towards the viewer, or vice versa. It's a difficult balance.

I've come far though, I know that if I keep up with practice, I will get better. It's a comforting thought. But there is no motivation to really draw. Sometimes I consider taking an art class, but I think it would force me to it. Or maybe give me some good idea and feedback. I don't feel as legitimate for being self-taught in art, photo, web design... *sigh*

- I actually keep gloves in the glovebox of my car.

- I like to smoke. But I only do so a couple times a month with friends, and am not addicted.

- I always confuse 'subbed' and 'dubbed'

- I love going to the reservoir at night. Everytime I go there, there is always something symbolic about it. Like for example, I used to go there a lot during the summer with friends. The four of us would go there at night, and it was always really nice. Last night I went there, and the water was frozen over, and it was just me and my best friend; missing two of our usual companions. And the fact that the water was frozen over was parallel to the way that our friendship has frozen over. On hold for the winter, but with hope of melting.

- I am one of the the worst procrastinators you will ever meet. No joke. I am not just a 'at the last minute' person, I'm 'at the last second'.

- I have absolutely no idea what I want to do with my life.

It was such a wonderful week before my birthday, so beautiful and amazing. Then it just kinda spiraled down. Not sure at which point, but somewhere in the last sixty hours. The brain can't handle happiness eternally, it needs down time.

And the whole time I was happy, I knew that it would negate itself. I kneewww it, because it always does. But I didn't notice when it started sloping down... Because I expected the happiness to last. I'm not complaining, I know it will get good again. I just don't notice when it starts getting good. I never know whether or not I've reached the zenith of happiness and when it will start sloping down again. Or whether or not it will plateau.

Make a post in your dA journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

If you wish for real-life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

Step 2.

Surf around your friends list (or friends friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
