Holy jesus it has been a long week.

Last Wednesday, I had pain in my joints and an overall weird "sick" feeling... You know... that feeling you get when you know you're getting sick. By Wednesday evening I had at least a fever of 104.0. I was rolling around in discomfort for a good few hours before I overcame the fever.

That was apparently temporary, as I fought it off again. Regardless, I called out of work and went to sleep. I woke up feeling better the next morning--despite my joint pain, and took a shower. I noticed some small red spots on my hands and forearms. I thought it could just be psychosomatic, but I mentioned it anyway, and no one seemed concerned. I started having dizzy spells and kept a steady 100.0 fever. I spent the day laying around and being sick.

Friday, I started my drive to work, thinking that I could work and it would be okay, and also being afraid of losing my job for calling out again... I nearly got myself into a car accident because of my light-headedness. That got me hysterical before I even had a chance to talk to my boss. I spoke with the groomer, and we concluded that my boss didn't want me to feel like I'd get fired for being sick. But with good reason, they wouldn't let me drive home. My older sister picked me up and took me to CentraCare.

The doctor thought that it was either a viral syndrome, or something worse--a systemic problem. He gave me an anti-inflammatory pain killer and told me to go to the ER if I got any worse.

On Saturday, the joint pain in my knee and ankle became extremely acute within a couple of minutes. I had to hobble around the apartment... But I wasn't in enough pain to merit a trip to the ER, so I waited. On top of that, the spots that I had noticed were more prominent, and some had started to form pustules. I concluded that I'd gotten a weird pox, and would get over it.

Until Sunday at 4 in the morning, when a routine trip to the toilet and back to the bed left me in tears. My boyfriend drove me to the ER... He had to carry me on his back down the steps from our apartment.. three flights. @_@

They took me back immediately and put me in isolation. Long story short, they thought, after knocking syphilis and gonorrhea off the list (Duuuhhhh), I guess a nurse concluded that I had gotten chicken pox again. They set me up in isolation and began treating me with a broad spectrum antibiotic. Morphine wasn't enough to ease the pain in my knee and ankle. And when that didn't work, they didn't bring me Vicodin for HOURS. The nurse service was terrible during the day.

Keep in mind that I was telling EVERYONE along the way that I handled rats, and I worked in an animal hospital. Everyone just thought it was interesting or weird, but I don't think a single person made note of it. My mother called me one evening from home and started talking to me about Rat-bite Fever. ([link]) The symptoms and even the ORDER in which they occurred was spot on.

Eventually, I was visited by an infectious disease consultant. I only had to mention my ratlings to him once for a lightbulb to turn on above his head. They started me on penicillin and I was on my way to recovery.

So, I was hospitalized from Sunday at 4AM to Wednesday at 5PM. Probably longer than I needed to be, had someone listened to what I was saying BEFORE the infectious disease consultant came by.

So. That's where I've been. Lol.

Why is it that ever talentless girl with a camera thinks she needs a DA gallery dedicated to oiled up pictures of her snatch?

I'm tired of hearing the argument that it's artistic nudity, when the only comments are "OMG THAT'S HOT I'VE GOT A BONER FOR YOU" and the "artist" is like "OMG THANX GLAD YOU LIKE MY PUSSY *FLIRT WINK*" It's clearly smut, and the only reason it's here is because she's dying to say, "LOOK AT MEEEEEE!!!!"

Anyway, school and work have been occupying my life, and the free time I have, I've spent with my boyfriend. I finally just brought my computer over to his apartment and finished a bunch of work, as you can see from my recent uploads.

Now this silly man has his angry broken English-spewing Hispanic friends e-mailing me and telling me that they know where I live, and that I should stop messing with people on DeviantArt, because I make a habit out of fucking with people all the time, you know?

Well, the car troubles have been handled.

But now I'm just frustrated. As most of you know, this tropical storm Fay has been raping Florida for the past couple of days. Sooo, here in Central Florida, the sky is clear and it's only a little windy. I had been working on a piece in photoshop for about one-and-a-half hours.. Why does everyone get their kicks from bastardizing a perfect character? How does it seem cute or witty to dress Solid Snake up as Pikachu and say that he did it for Otacon?

I don't understand why someone draws Snake with an egg-carton-stomach and blushing cheeks... It hurts me inside. It's not cute, it's not witty, it's absolutely ridiculous and makes you seem like a stupid fanbrat, and that's it. The only people who think it's cute are the people who are just as pathetic, but somehow manage to scribble even worse than you do.

Well, now that I have four hours between classes here at school, I figured I'd make a little update. My job is hard but redeeming, and I enjoy going to work. Working at a pet store is making me question my major--AGAIN. I don't really want to go into animal training OR marine biology... Well, now that I have four hours between classes here at school, I figured I'd make a little update. My job is hard but redeeming, and I enjoy going to work. Working at a pet store is making me question my major--AGAIN. I don't really want to go into animal training OR marine biology... So I don't really know what I could do that has to do with animals that I could get PAID for.

End of semester is coming up quickly and I still don't have a car. I'm insensitive to the fact at this point.

I haven't been drawing much lately because I have all of these ideas that I can't accomplish because I have no vision. Things a bit beyond my scope of artistic knowledge, I guess. C'est la vie.

Anyway, my costume for the Deadlands LARP came out better than I expected. I will get pictures when the shit goes down.

But I swear it's mostly because these people draw cutesy anime girls... And not even that well! Boundaries: For this contest, considering that it is my first, I am going to give you all the freedom to draw any of the characters that I list below with their references. You can include as many characters in a picture as you want, but drawing one and drawing many will get you the same amount of points. Quality, folks!

Theme: No theme! Use your imaginaaaaaation!

Rules:
1. No weird fetish crap (i.e. feet, inflation, guro, scat, vore, cub, etc.)
2. Mature art is permitted, but do not pair up my female characters with female characters, or male characters with male characters. If you are pairing Bismarck with someone, it HAS to be Kera! Please... keep it tasteful! No sopping wet genitalia all over the place.
3. If I do not get enough entries, I will only award a grand prize.
4. Pay attention to markings and other details. Missing those will cost you big points!
5. By God, I shouldn't have to say this but... please don't trace or steal someone else's work...!

Prizes: Assuming that I get enough entries, there will be three winners, Grand Prize, 1st Place, and Honorable Mention. I haven't decided on prizes yet, but they will be good!

I have no means for printing pictures colored in Photoshop. Therefore, I will provide you with the original PSD. Shipping will be calculated per commission. Obviously, digital art will have no shipping cost.
