Ok, so someone (mentioning no names ) told me I has to do this 8 things thing. So here we go.

Here are the rules:

1) I'm a vegetarian.
Have been since I was 16 (7 years and counting).

2) I watch people.
Not in a freaky way (I think...) like a stalker... I just make up a little story about them in my head as they walk past. Who are they? Are they happy? What's their cat called? Actually, that does sound weird.

3) Dropkick Murphys are my favourite band.
Yes. And not just because Al Barr is a sexy.

4) I LOVE comics.
Preferably Marvel, but I also like stuff by Roman Dirge, Jhonen Vasquez, Ted Naifeh. I also love The Sandman series. I heart Gambit and Deadpool. And manga. And I have all the Battle Royale mangas.
I am currently loving Big Hero 6, Secret Invasion, Thor and Eternals.

5) I love to crochet.
Ok, I've only recently got good enough to gift and sell what I make, but I still love to do it. Even though I get cramp in my fingers for days. Especially in my third metacarpals, which makes it hard to continue to crochet, as well as type!

6) I really think swearing is overrated.
It's become so facile to insert cuss words into your everyday speech, that it really doesn't shock now. Shock value of swear words generally= <.05%. Shock value of "C" word= <10% and falling fast. Interestingly, that word comes from Chaucer, so it can't be filthy, it's historical.

7) I know far too much random general knowledge trivia.
I should really go on the Weakest Link and try to win some CA$H. But I'd probably end up hauling off and decking Ann Robinson. Which leads nicely on to the last point:

8) I have a really bad temper.
A. REALLY. REALLY. Bad temper. Probably to do with being a manic depressive. WOO BIPOLAR.

... yeah, so this is why I don't feel like updating with the huge backlog of photos I've got.

To explain briefly, my (my boyfriend's but whatever) dog Joker had to be put to sleep yesterday evening. On his birthday. Ok, he was 14 (98 in dog years) so he had a good life, but he was suffering so much, it was the kinder thing to do. Still, I spent most of the evening crying.

So this is why I'm not going to be uploading all the nice pics I have squirreled away.

I found out what species of dragonfly my photos are of!

"The Migrant Hawker (Aeshna mixta) is with its length of 63 mm one of the smaller species of hawker dragonflies. The species prefers still or slow-flowing water and can tolerate brackish sites. The flight period is from July to the end of October. They can be found in North Africa, southern and central Europe to the Baltic region.

In the United Kingdom this insect was rare until the 1940's when it began migrating from the continent in large numbers. It continues to do so and is now a resident breeding species throughout England and Wales. It reached the Isle of Man in 1998 and Ireland in 2000."

My horrid bruise is getting better, yay. It doesn't hurt so much now and I've stopped taking the tablets.

Anyway, I went to the hospital about it, waited in a&e for four hours, waited in the actual treatment area for another 20minutes and was told that it was a bruise (haematoma)... like duh, yeah, I could have told you that. The doctor was really uninterested. He took one look and basically told me to go away. He didn't care that I'd thumped my head either (possibly doing something not nice to my jawbone in the process) and didn't even prod my bruise. He kept trying to talk me out of having a prescription too!
Doc: "Ooh they make you constipated"
Me: "Preaching to the choir mate, I've got IBS"
Doc: "They're addictive"
Me: "I'll run out before that happens"
ARGHSGAHFGL!
When I started crying (I'm ashamed) because my bruise hurt, I had a headache, I'd been there for nearly five hours, hadn't had a ciggy in all that time, and was stressed out he just said "Please don't cry, pretty young girls shouldn't break their hearts over such silly things"... silly things? Do you understand how much everything hurts? STUPID DOCTOR!
I was going to write a letter to complain about the wait and the lack of professionalism shown by staff, but I'm sure the administrators will find that out by themselves.

*WARNING* Don't ever go to Queen's Hospital in Romford, Essex, England. And if you do, ask for any doctor beside Dr. Pandya.

Yeah Dr. Panda, someday KARMA will bit your arse.
Ok, feel better now that rant is outta me!

Look forward to more stuff going up soon, have got my harddrive going- woo! Although I did drop it on my foot yesterday, bruising my toe and taking a huge lump of skin off = 1/2" gash on toe = blood everywhere. YAY!

I need to put more up yet, but I need to get dressed and go to the hospital first.

I had a fall on Saturday night and the bruise is killing me. It hurts so bad I feel sick. And now my left foot (the side with the huge obscene bruise the size of Prague) has gone stone cold, which I think may not be a good thing?

The hospital will probably tell me to grow up and go away though... I'll have limped a couple of miles for no reason. In the rain probably. Oh well...

... better get dressed...

2) Two of my modules for next semester clash, so I need to change one.
3) I am extremely impoverished, so everyone will be getting naff hand-made things for Christmas.
4) I don't like Christmas, it brings back too many bad memories.
5) I don't like to celebrate Christmas, not being a Christian, makes me feel awkward.
6) I have three assessments totalling 7,000 words to write before the second week of January.
7) I'm not feeling tiptop, my head is all bunged up and snotty. Yuck.
8) My nose is sore from blowing it.
9) Trekking to the hospital in the rain makes me feel worse.
10) I don't want to go back to uni until my mum's out of the hospital, so I'll prob miss my final mass murder lecture tomorrow, and miss work too. Great.

Everything has just gone completely shit since Friday.
My housemate was very mean about me going home to see my mum (was meant to stay up this weekend, as have been home rather a lot recently) and was all like "Do you NEED to go home or do you just WANT to?"... How about you a) get fucked, and b) I'm kind of wishing something horrible on your family now, butt face.

To end on another nice note, I have a new coat! It's a vintage denim blue (colour, not fabric) calf-length woollen jacket that dates back to the 1940s! It was my nana's and she wore it when she had to wander round during the Blitz! It's lovely.

I have to write a 3000 word essay and revise for three two hour exams in the space of two weeks. Well, my last exam is on June 6th, but never mind. The stress is starting to take it's toll, so expect many therapeutic deviations. You may not like them, but I'm sure you'll all like the fact that they're helping me to de-stress! >lol< Who needs scented candles when you have Photoshop and a battery of photos.

It's been to rainy for natural photos, hence the self-flagellation of self-portrait pics that have been going up incessantly in the last couple of weeks. Maybe I'll get round to posting up some of my doodles...

I'm not enjoying being continually defeated in FFIII. It's been so long since I played an 'old-skool' FF that I'm having to re-learn everything as I go on. Boo. Hiss.

In a month, I will be in 19C heat in lovely Barcelona! Woot! I love Barcelona, went in 2001 and fell in love with the place, so vibrant and busy, but so full of chilled-out people and awesome art.

Expect lots of pictures to appear up here edited in some way, shape or form. The Gaudi buildings don't really need any editing as they're so weird and groovy but I don't think I'll be able to resist my passion for tweaking photos!

I really advise you guys to hop on a cheap EasyJet plane and just spend a couple of days there- you won't be sorry. Go in September when it's the Merce festival (I went last time in Sept) and people get really happy! Fireworks, giant paper mache people on parade! It's great! I still have my Merce 2001 candle/paper flower thingy they gave out for free. Been tempted to light it loads of times, but it's one of the few souvenirs I have- most went into my school sketchbook, and lordy only knows where that is.

Ooh and they do weally nice pastries and sweet goodies!

I haven't wanted to do anything today except take photos, but I couldn't find anything to inspire me

Did some more mod-ing of my old pics, purely for the gratification, don't think the deviantART community really wants to see loads of lovey-dovey pics of me and Mark (boyfriend of four years) even though we are danged sexay! >lol<

Have to go home tomorrow for a dentist's appointment I didn't know I had- sigh. Two hours of travel and then having my teeth molested by my 'groovy' dentist while he asks me "So, how's little Linn?" or "Still with that boyfriend?" or "How's life at uni?" with his fingers in my mouth so I can't answer! I do need a checkup though, so it's not entirely an inconvenience.

I have an essay plan to write- I wouldn't mind, but I haven't even picked what title I want to do yet! Not due until 15/03/07, so I have a little time. Ideally though, I'd like to have my plan finished by next week's workshop so I can show my lecturer and get any help I might need. I haven't done any English Lit for three years, so I'm probably a bit rusty on the theory and application.

Anyway, if you're still reading this, one gold star for effort!
