Because I am currently living in New Zealand, with my family.

Pretty cool, no?

I got here on the 2nd. My flight left on the 31st, and I completely skipped January 1st because we passed the international date line. When I landed, it was a completely different day. And when we head back, we'll land BEFORE we left NZ. Which is pretty crazy to me.

The strange thing is, it's a lot like the US here still. I mean, I keep on forgetting I'm halfway across the world. The only REALLY different thing is the accents, but I really haven't had a conversation with any real kiwis. Actually, thinking about it, the only conversations I've had were with the customs officer and the librarian when I went to go get my library card. It's serious business here, to get a library card. As in, I had to bring my passport and our rent least agreement. Pretty intense, no?

There is a huge asian vibe where I am. We're living in the largest city in NZ, Auckland, where 1/3 the entire population of the country lives. And 1/3 of the population of Auckland is asian. It's pretty cool. There is so many japanese and korean restaurants. And, you can buy onigiri at the local supermarkets. It's not half bad.

I just saw my school uniform, though. It's pretty hideous. I'm not looking forward to wearing it. But other than that, the school I'm going to be going to doesn't seem too bad.

The best part about being here? It's summer! And I have a month of summer break. Which I need, because I was in the hospital or sick for almost all my winter/christmas break.

I'm so pale. I hope I can tan. But I don't want skin cancer. So maybe I should stick to long pants, hats, sunglasses and keep applying the sunscreen. There's a hole in the ozone over NZ.

Ah well. I hope everyone had a great new years!!!

I don't know if I said this before, but I had a kidney infection. It's odd, because kidney infections usually happen in... old people.

I just thought I had pulled an ab muscle.... of course, it was my sad kidney ^_^

I'm better now, though! It's a little scary. I lost 10 pounds in the hospital. Everything is baggy on me. I guess thats what 8 days of really not eating does to you.

I can't believe that summer is already coming to a sort of end! I mean, it's midway through August. When did THAT happen?

I'm REALLY not ready to go back to school. Essentially, my family is packing up, renting out our house, and touring around Europe. Meanwhile, I'll be at bording school. Of course, bording isn't that big a deal, I suppose. But the fact I didn't really know about this untill after the school year ended doesn't help much. And I still don't know who exactlly my roomate is......

Meh! Stress!

But anyhow. I was bored this morning, and decided to to change my icon. So now, I have a blinky icon. In the future, I REALLY want to work on my animation skills.

In other news..... I've started a side project thing drawing a manga/comic thingy. If I decide I like it enough, you may see it. If not, well..... my recyling bin is another choice.

Oh yeah! Went and got a new sketchbook. It's all pristine and new. I don't really want to draw in it, but.....

I was weeping.

Seriously, why does that movie have to be so depressing?

In other news, I got new marker paper. So I shall have more marker'd art up soon. It was probably a stupid thing to buy, because I literally need all the money I have.

You see, I managed to put my new cell phone through the wash. When it came out, the only thing it could so was vibrate. So I would put my battery in, and it would start vibrating. I would take the battery out, and it would stop.

But it never turned back on.

So, I need a new cell phone. Probably one of the cheap, fugly ones. Arggg. I LIKED that phone.

Eh, I put up new art, like, three days ago? Team Seven of Naruto.

Well, I’m probably not be doing that much art because I’m PAINTING A MURAL IN MY ROOM! I, believe it or not, just got on winter break (MY EXAMS ARE OVER! YEAH BABY!) So I’m going to be painting a replication of a Japanese print over one wall. I’ll show when I’m done. But I had to clean out my whole room. I took apart my bed and everything.

Oh yeah. That reminds me, I just brought home all my paintings from my painting class. It was a semester long course; I did 3 paintings *wince*

When I get around to taking pictures, they'll be up.

I cannot wait until Christmas… I am almost 90% sure I’m going to get the tablet I’ve been begging for for a year…

And I can't work on art or anything because I have a huge 15 page bio project due when I get back to school. I must focus......
