But I have taken up an invite to write something new with a friend which will most turn out to be a graphic novel, and while I have been exploring my characters and have been writing a bit, at that point I wasn't adding much up onto here.

But I'm back - as well as doing some more uploading, I will also be doing NaNoWriMo again, which should jumpstart my writing again!

I got a job very soon after I did that last journal update. My first, full time job. Therefore, what have I been doing rather than writing (much) for the last six months or so? Working - attempting to mold (and control) young minds.

Plus, one day I discovered that something had wiped my entire writing folder off my USB. Nothing else, just all my writing. Which immediately lost about six months worth of work on my novel and all that kind of stuff. All I have now is a very old version of my work and I stalled. (I do still have all the writing I did for the write every day of the year which is kept here - , which unfortunately for the most part does not include the stuff which I lost on my USB, and was a continution from the place I had been up to - the last 3 chapters between what I had in my old files and my new writings is what I have lost)

I can't write it. and I haven't managed to write anything else other than a few paragraphs since.

I'm going to try and be good and start writing again. To reduce the pressure, I'm going to do some wordspills as they come up from - that way hopefully even though I'm working (a lot) and travelling to and from work (a long way), I'll still have some writing outlets.

All of my current writings are being placed in here to fulfil the requirements for There is some really cool stuff in there if you can be bothered wading through four months worth of snippets to find the nice long ones. I've been writing a lot on the Crystal Race and a bit (currently) on the Tales, which most who read my journal would know as the Seven Rings. A lot of things have changed so far in that one.

Anyway, I feel like crap, so I'm going to go to bed.

PS: Planning on doing some nice writing for a few competitions, wish me luck!

And she is bringing it back... on pain of death, since I haven't read it again yet. But, I have my other book with me, which I have been trying to get for ages (it came yesterday) so I am happily reading it... for the second time.

Uni is uni. second week back and nothing really has changed massively. lots of academic work, long hours and not much actual proper work. Oh is my life. *wrinkles nose* hopefully something will change at some point.

My birthday was alright, for all those who knew it happened... I got a little angry a couple of times in my birthday week, cause people kept leaving messages for me that asked for things without realising that it was not the week that I wanted to hear anything like that.... *growls*

On the writing front, I have finished writing the 10th chapter of CR, which is satisfying (it means I'm actually writing something for once instead of being attacked by massive writer's block). And I have started playing around with a rewrite of the Tale of Yonder, known to most on here as Seven Rings. (I gave it to a friend of mine who is a editor, and she said it needs to be worked on...) so as soon as I can get myself to concentrate properly, I'll continue to rearrange it. I've had some good ideas about how to change it in some parts.. it might be a bit of character culling, but I'm not losing all the good ones.

On the other front - I'm still working on king Tut, and my angel doesn't fit onto the lap frame I managed to get for $10 along with an unfinished design... that peeves me off, and at the moment I'm trying to figure out which parts of my angel I can get away with not stitching!

And that's about it... boring ain't I?

currently, I'm trying to buy a book on ebay. It's a book i've wanted ever since I first read it. The auction finishes today, and i have been nervously upping my top bid in an effort to actually win. I want this book!

Other than that there's not much to tell. As the bareness of my gallery will show, I haven't been writing much, although I had a great idea last night which I have yet to get into any written form.

On a less bright note, I have an assignment due this week, that is feeling like I have to pull teeth to get it out. All my fun stuff has been suspended for the most part, like losing myself when playing seasons - cause I have been working so much, and helping out in a volunteer position so much... I have to think of the money, as inappropriate as that sounds - I still have my insurance to pay, and its due this month. but I did get to go and watch my AFL team win last night, and damn, was that satisfying! I also saw my friend, who's moved interstate yesterday - she had to come back to graduate.

on the writing front it's going better than pulling teeth, but I actually want my assignment to be the one which is going better than everything else. *pouts* Nothing works the way it's meant to. But, I suppose since all my assignments are pretty much spread out this year, I can't really complain.

And that's about it - except I'm still living alone, feeling alone...

Other than that -
our home PC has currently decided to have a problem, so apart from not being able to get on, I might have lost all of my writings, and I mean all. I'm crossing my fingers that it isn't so, but I don't think we have an update on the computer yet.

I have been working all but two days this week, which was good, but I don't have as much work next week, which is bad. I'm looking at actually saving something, which means more work would help.

I'm house sitting, and have been there about three weeks. I am not a fan of cat hair.

And that's about it. I spend most of my time in the company of my mother, since most of my friends don't seem to have appear. I always give them the benefit of the doubt, or I spend it alone.

I've now done more, thanks to a fair about of procrastiation regarding some uni work. So it looks good - I haven't done it all again, I'm not going to do as much in that direction, I want to finish the top hand so I get to add some colour into the finger nails!

I found out where the row went.

Needless to say, I am not a happy chappy.

I was adding into the outline with another colour - i'd done the beads, the hand below it, the smile, the nose and part of the tattoo, and I headed up to the ear. I did the lower part of the ear, then went upwards to the upper.

Low and behold, I had an extra row. I was trying to figure it out, I mean, maybe I'd counted the distance from the eye wrong. Maybe it was lined up wrong. the top part of the ear wasn't lined up wrong. The bottom part of the ear was.

and the shoulder, the tattoo, one hand, the wing, half of the other hand... Basically half of what I've stitched now has to be destroyed, pulled apart so that I can move it up one row. I know that the arm she's resting her head on should be alright...

However. I do not always hold such a contemptable outlook on those who decide that a look per month is good enough to understand the inner workings of a mind. (any remarks upon my insanity will be ignored, as I have considered myself insane long before I made any claims upon this subject). Insanity may have a good deal to do with this mess of rambling which will most likely remain unread and left to float in cyberspace for the rest of eternity. But nevertheless - I will have had my say.

Yeha. Long time no see and all that rot. Am deep in the editting stage of my novel... almost finished it - now I just have to earn all the money that it's going to take to get it assessed (to see whether it is even worth publishing or taking to an agent for that matter.)

It is nearing the end of semester, so I am drowning under the weight of a few assignments - big surprise, and very little work - no surprise at all. But then I graduate this semester, and will be heading straight into honours if I remember to get all my paperwork done... and figure out what my honours thesis topic is going to be, although I'm going for something along the morpho-syntatic line.

Have written some cute stuff, and will have to put it up at some point, I reckon.

What have I finished, may you ask? Well, I've broken the back of Chapter Four of the Awakening - and I have plans for every chapter up to about number 7, which is REALLY REALLY good.


Other than that, I have a week left of uni before the holidays. I'm going for a new job this afternoon which might see me have frequent work, rather than once in a blue moon... (oh please!)

Other than that, I have nothing other to report... except I really have to write some more of the Wish and the Seven Rings, I think...

My work load at uni is starting to increase just slightly - i mean it's wk 7 already, so we don't have that much longer to go... 13 wks in a semester isn't all that much really...
