I do have some exciting news, however! By this time next year, I will be living right in Melbourne :) St Kilda, preferably, because I don't think I could ever move away from the beach. It will be good to get out of here, this town zaps all my creativity and positivity. The only downside is I won't have many friends there and I'm so very shy :( humbug.

I have been taking a more hands-on approach with my art, focusing mainly on things like sewing, cross-stitching and my favourite, making dread falls. They look lovely if I do say so myself. On that note, *meme* from the Hair Extensions Forums should be sending me a pair of falls soon so lots of photos are in order. You'll finally see what I look like :paranoid:

Before I start going philosophical, I shall get to the point. I've been inspired (and oh, it is a good feeling!) to put aside my Photoshop work and instead focus on photography - at least for the time being, to explore other creative outlets. I have been slowly but surely improving at digital painting, but I want to put that aside and focus on capturing special things around me.

I have a few ideas which are really pushing my general style, but I think it's good to challenge your boundaries once in a while. That's how I got stuck in my uninspired moods - I wasn't doing anything new.

One person I'd like to thank is *AndySerrano. Through his artwork, I've seen that there's a big world out there to explore, and he has inspired me to go outside and get looking myself. Everyone should go look at his gallery :)

I've been going through the longest art block known to man because I'd been feeling gloomy and depressed for a while, but now I'm in a cheerful place so I think I'll be moving from darker stuff to more fantasy type things. I'll still make all my usual darker pieces but I want to expand my horizons a little... get a bit more creative and stuff. I already have an idea in my head which hopefully hasn't been done before so I should be uploading that shortly. I also want to get more into digital painting and vexels and such, but I might hold off uploading anything I make there until I get lots of practice :D

My sub ran out and honestly I don't think it's worth purchasing anymore, not when free members get most of the features anyway and not when our exchange rate is doing as badly as it is now... anyway, enough from me, I just wanted to pop in and give a few updates, I'm still very much alive and active here :)

1. I've been vegan for nearly two years now. It's probably one of the best choices I've ever made.
2. I can be really clumsy sometimes. Everyday objects turn into weapons of mass destruction when they're my possession.
3. English was not my first language. I learnt Serbian when I was a child, and spoke that until I started primary school. After that my knowledge in the language slowly diminished. I can still understand it almost perfectly and say a few sentences, which is odd.
4. Cats are my favourite animal, even though I'm allergic to them. I have two, Chichy and Tigger, who I talk about non-stop. They're worth the puffy eyes and runny nose.
5. I love to read. Reading a lot is how I learnt English when I was young, and it's improved my vocabularly a lot. I usually read about 10 novels every month or two.
6. I am obsessive about organisation and order. I need to have everything arranged in a certain order, usually grouped together with "like" objects, otherwise everything looks messy. I'll probably end up editting this post to add bullet points and make it look neater.
7. When I was a few years old, I tripped over and hit my head on a step, cutting my head open. You can see the stitches above my eyebrow.
8. I cannot stand the heat at all. It makes me a really unlikeable person. I want to move to a place that is cold most of the time.

We decided his birthday will be Feb 21st (we don't know what his real birthday is), a month after Chichy who is now 11 - eep!

Nothing new over here. I'm a bit less busy thankfully, so I'll most likely be able to respond to all your comments and I might be able to submit a bit more. I've also started making a pair of dread falls, I've only fully sealed 6 of them but I have a pile of fluffy backcombed dreads lying around the place. They look pretty good so far. :)

I think I'm getting better at my photomanipulations, I'm putting more time and effort into them and they're turning out much better. I want to start working on vectors next, I've always admired them but I haven't made any for a few years now. I might also be making an account for pixel art, stamps and avatars soon, I'll keep you posted on that. :)

I'll try to reply to every message I get though. A bunch of things have come up (typical, after a while with a break everything seems to start snowballing down!) and I've found myself really limited with time. It doesn't help that I've gotten so tired that I randomly fall down and sleep for a few hours. o.o;;

I'm not sure when I'll submit my next work, which is something else I need to talk about. Lately I've been seeing more and more artwork similar to my Gloom Ville pieces. I don't mind, but it's become so common that I don't really feel interested in making many more. Another thing I dislike is people simply faving them because it reminds them of the Birthday Massacre and they like the band. I like them too, and originally it was based on their imagery, but if people are going to fav my work I'd prefer it would be because they actually like it instead of because it reminds them of the band. It just reminds me of 'fan art' in a way, which I'm not too fond of at all.

At the moment I want to work on my photomanipulations. I may still do my GV pieces but I'd probably only submit one a month. If you're only watching me for these, feel free to take me off your watch list.

You might have also noticed that I finally uploaded another Gloom Ville piece. I really do enjoy making them, but I use Photoshop CS2 to make them (more brushes are compatible with this version) and it is incredibly slow, which puts me off using it. o.O
