I'm currently not using any other 3D programs because I'm somewhat of a purist and want control of my artwork, and it seems like some of the other programs do more of the work for me, consequently taking away some of my freedom (they also cost money). I do use the GIMP for some minor texture editing and occasionally get an image from the internet (like the Jolly Roger). I'm somewhat of a baby in this field, though, so I'm open to suggestions (that's why I'm here).
