LIFE:
Life is good, and stressful due to school, not really a whole lot else going on there, except for dressing up for Halloween. Oh! Happy Halloween everyone! Go be spooky!

ARTWORK:
Currently working on a piece requiring me to color in wings. I never realized it, but I have little experience when it comes to making wings look good. Which is why after I'm done with two other potential requests, that I want to try doing more pieces with wings. Sounds a bit silly But I would like to try to get better at it than I am currently.
And I probably won't get to it this semester, but next semester I'd like to try my hand at drawing some Sonic and Pokemon stuffs. Laugh if you will, I loved both series as a youngin
Sonic seems more difficult to draw than pokemon tho :<
Oh well. I'll see how much progress I make.

At this point in time please don't expect any artwork....possibly till November or when I can run away from school work. It's ridiculous how much math, communication, lab work, and regular biology work I have this semester. Much thanks!

Cosplay seems to be coming along nicely. I think a poison ivy addition may be occuring, it might not. It completely depends if does her Harley quinn outfit or not. If that falls through, then I'll just revert back to the idea of Fallen Flonne with Ariel and co. We'll see where that goes. The Meryl compilation is definately happening one way or another though. Already heard back from one company, who said it is a "go", now all thats left is to hear back from the other company whom has "better work". More to come on that soon. The Angel Mort outfit, is just a click away, so thats all good. Aaaand of course the next big thing to buy would be the Comic Con tickets. 100 bucks. woo! Can you tell I'm excited? /sarcasm

In other news we were talking about this last week in communications class about stereotyping and what not when this question came up. I was curious as to what my friends/ watchers think of it.
"Just because you see someone do something once, why is it that you automatically assume they will do it again, or everytime?" I thought to myself and began to realize that I fell into this category a bit, but I couldn't help wondering why I like so many others would think that way. Is it just assuming, that just because someone does something once, that they've always been doing it, or will continue to do it? It really can be anything, but its down to the main point, was what I was trying to get across. What's your opinion?

Here are the outfit plans so far.
The biggest one I'm going to pull off, is Meryl from Metal Gear Solid 4. Hopefully the company site my friend is contacting will be able to deliver as good a product as I've seen on cosplay pictures.

I just got back into the swing of things for school, and upon realizing that I will have a tiny bit of extra time on the side wanted to add on to my gallery by taking on a request or two for free. Well my faithful Computer "Dustin" (Named after the collection of dust he accumulates) has finally decided to kick the bucket so to speak, and I am now welcomed with open arms with a blue screen of death. Really, is there any other way to describe it? I think not. Luckily all my art files were saved the day before which is a good thing? I'd rather have a working computer more than I would my art files but whatever. So, now I REALLY can't update with ANYTHING for a REALLY long time. At least until the computer is fixed or replaced. I'm not entirely sure its fixable though. It's like the second time this has happened in 1 1/2 years. D: And I don't even have a job, so its going to be VERY hard to replace it. I will be on DA, when I can be, but it won't be frequently unfortunately. D:

Hohohoho! So I am still alive on DA, I've just been busy with life and its many demands these days. School stuff, job stuff, and others.

LIFE: Life is pretty good, now that a lot of things have calmed down. I'm currently applying like mad for jobs since I really want to have a job and go to school, so I hope that works out in my favor, I really do. Gotta get as much money as I can for the next convention. And side money is always a good thing to have. I also want to try and see if I can put together something a bit interesting for Halloween. I'm going to be taking a vacation soon, so that also shall be nice.

SCHOOL: I still need to sign up for my classes this next semester, if I do this right, it'll be a Science, Communication, and Math assortment. Which when completed will make me closer to my goal of getting through College G.E's.

COSPLAY: I really want to try and see if I can pull off a good version of Metal Gear Solid 4's Meryl. The hard part is getting the under gear, since it looks like and odd combination of wetsuit material and pleather. Plus the color combination isn't something that's easily found, so that will be interesting to pull off. All of the gear, is apparently easy to get, as are the fake guns, and I already have a realistic version of her wig. I just don't know if I'll be able to pull it off in time, or at all. We'll see.

ARTWORK: Yeah, I have not been able to post any artwork, because I've been so busy. I have plans on working on the last 3 pieces of my Character Screens series. As I stated before I want to combine them all into one huge picture. So, very sorry for not updating for a while. I still have to do Snake Plisskin, Meryl and Lydia for the picture to be complete.

Actually I was only gone for like three days and nobody really noticed LOL! So I went on my convention trip to Califur, which turned out to be quite the trip. For those of you who don't know, Califur is in fact a "furry" convention. Now before anyone starts pointing fingers and saying, ew you're furry that's gross! listen to what I have to say.
The convention itself was rather fun, with a huge emphasis on the word "fun". Everybody there was nice, friendly and polite, nobody got groped, (which trust me happens all the time at comic con.) And it was a very nice environment to be in. The hotel was nice, it had a large swimming pool, good food and drinks were served there, the artist tables were full of some of the coolest stuff I hadn't seen in quite some time, the dances went on for hours, you got to see everyone's costumes they had made, (I even saw an Eevee xD) I got to wear my R.R. Hood outfit I had put together, they had game rooms, and a few videogame/anime art tables and overall I had an amazing time.

I personally would even go as far to say that it was better than comic con. Though my anime friends would say otherwise. It's definitely a different experience, I'll say that much. But it was a blast, and I had fun.

I even got a couple of pictures done of my fursona, which I find to be pretty darn cute. One was by a random person in the hallway


and the other by Michele Light, who does really cute stuff.

If you guys ever get a chance to go to a convention, my suggestion would be to go with a group of friends who have been to the con before, otherwise you'll be very confused on how things work there.
Even if you aren't a "furry" don't be deterred by the convention, they have some cool stuff there, and as an artist you can appreciate some of the stuff you find there.
If I can get my hands on any pictures of my outfit, I'll try to post them as soon as I can!

Help me understand something. I have heard so many different things on furries. But what confuses me is when people call you a furry based on their own reasoning. Stuff like, "oh you look at anthro art, that therefore means you are a furry." Or something like, "Oh you look at furry porn," or "oh you like furry stuff, that makes you a furry."

Is there some rule in particular that makes you a furry? Cuz if looking at furry stuff makes you a furry, that's really stupid, and since its all over the internet, based on a technicality everyone on the internet would be classified as a furry. Like what make you a furry?

I've heard the definition of a furry is someone who highly identifies with a particular animal. Does it mean your a furry if you draw yourself with a tail and ears? Or if you you like certain animals? Cuz if thats the case the majority of fangirls on DA that draw themselves like that would be furries lol. The whole resoning process confuses me.
I mean take for example if you break the law. If you break the law, its laid down for you in a fairly easy manner. It's basic stuff, but for furries, it doesn't seem too specific. Like its very broad. I dunno I'm confused lol.

I'm being driven quite insane by the whole car shopping concept. I'm not even kidding. Every toyota car I like, which is ironically a Camry, looks amazing, and then reality sets in and I realize, oh wait a minute I need to get a Corolla since it gets better mileage. The problem is, I can't find a corolla that I like. It's either, its the wrong color, it doesn't have the mileage I want, its interior sucks, or the price tag sucks majorly. And its incredibly irritating. Everyone's like, oh you should try the dealerships, oh try this oh try that. The funny thing is? I have. Nothing seems to be working. It's insanely ridiculous.

Alright so a thought occurred to me the other day upon watching a video on youtube concerning Twilight fans. And thus I ask you my fellow watchers to help me figure something out, because I don't understand it apparantly. LOL

[start rant]
Now this is not meant for any particular individual at all. It just so happens that the majority of people on the internet and in real life act this way towards the Twilight series, or at least the scary ones that I've encountered. Again I said MAJORITY, not EVERYBODY. So don't get offended please. So help me understand something. I've read all the twilight books, and seen the movie. Why is everyone in love with the series and Edward? Is he like the perfect man for you guys or something?
Personally I prefer a guy to have flaws because that's what makes the human aspect possible and its normal. If you're hoping that you'll have a relationship that doesn't hit any speedbumps or roadblocks, then you need to get your head out of the clouds and stay out of relationships, because every relationship does have at least one problem longterm or short term. There's no arguing that. You might deal with the problems, but to go around saying, well my relationship has never had any problems is not true. I'm not going to get into it in this journal however xD

Now I'm not bashing the series at all. For its story and creation, it is interesting, I will give it that. As I will acknowledge that it is a high selling book on the book market. I feel that the writing is terrible, but I'm not about to make that my argument here. But I don't see any reason to go around shoving it into people's faces. That's what politicians do, and the scary religious folk do. And you know what? When you guys do that, usually it makes us NOT want to join in on your little group. So I ask another question, why for twilight do you guys feel you need to get a loud voice ranting and raving about Edward and how sexy robert pattinson is, and how you want him to bite you, and how edward is the perfect guy and all guys should be like him and blah blah blah blah blah? This is what I hear from fans all the time:

"OH MY GOD EDWARD IS SO SEXY, HE IS A VAMPIRE! OMG OMG OMG! SPAAAAAAZZZ! I WANT HIS BABIES SO BADLY AND WE'LL HAVE THE PEEEERRRFECT RELATIONSHIP AND WE'LL LIVE HAPPILY EVERAFTER AND NOTHING WILL EEEEEVER GO WRONG! AND HE'LL SPOIL ME WITH GIFTS AND WE'LL PASSIONATELY MAKE OUT"

He's an imaginary character, and doesn't exist. HE IS NOT REAL!!!! Therefore I see no reason to scream at the top of your lungs over the guy. And even if he was, I think I still wouldn't. Do you honestly think he'd want to be with someone who did that? I know I sure wouldn't.

It makes you socially akward, and people look at you weird as if you've never been in an actual conversation before.
So then that brings up another question. I see this ALL THE TIME with girls who love anime and videogames. It drives me nuts.
Why do you guys feel the need to scream at the top of your lungs when you hear a characters name, or to scream about how awesome the series is that you're watching, or attack us non-watchers when we say we don't like it? Its so incredibly annoying. Like really, is there any need for that?
I say no. We're allowed to voice our opinions on stuff, as we have freedom of speech thanks to America. I feel that you guys who don't like it when people don't agree with you, can't handle critique or opposite opinions, thus you yell at us based on your own insecurity. Yay psychology.

I'll tell you what works for me. If you want to tell me in a slightly energetic voice, thats somewhat calm why you like a series, sure I'll listen while giving you a critical opinion, but please don't yell and scream and turn all "fangirl" on me. That's just going to make my ears bleed. And the urge to hit you will be very tempting. And it will just piss me off. You can tell us you like something without screaming, you can tell us you like something if you're willing to put logic in what you say, but please don't scream at us. We can hear you fine if you use an inside voice. Trust me on this.[endrant]

MY HEALTH:
So I have good news, there is are no more malignant tumors in my body. They have gone down tremendously in size much to everyone's excitement. Radiation treatment begins actually tomorrow lol, so I'll be doing that everyday Monday through Friday, and the results according to the doctor will be that I no longer have that kind of cancer any longer. There is however a 15% increased chance of breast cancer, but I don't have to worry about that until I turn 30 lol

SCHOOL:
School is school, what can I say? I'm only taking one class right now thanks to my medical dilemma but I can't wait for it to be over next month. That said I need to start working on my projects with a bit more umph. xD

ARTWORK:
These last two months have been busy months for me in the sense that I have been doing a lot of pieces. In between my chibi drawings and my Screen cap drawings, it doesn't leave me much time to do other pieces. I look forward to when I am done with both which will be during the summer, because then I can finally start the sketches for an FMA comic which I'm really looking forward to. It's none of that Mary-sue stuff rest assured, I think you'll be pleased with how it takes off, the characters I've come up with, and the plot twists and turns that I've given it. More info will be released the closer it gets to summer.

JOB HUNTING:
HAhaha! I never thought I'd even consider getting a job until I was done getting my AA degree. But my chemo doctor said it might be good for me, and I agree with him. I haven't had a job since the car crash which was over two years ago, so this will be interesting if I can manage to find something. Trying to see what I'll come up with for a summer job.

CAR SHOPPING:
This stuff gives me a headache, I mean, REALLY gives me a headache. We're looking for slightly new used corollas. Preferably with a navigation system in them, I'm pretty sure they exist I just need help finding them, since Carfax doesn't list that attribute, but I will be doing my car research and hopefully before school starts next semester, I'll be in business with my own car.

LIFE:
Life is going well for me, despite the fact that I worry too much about the small things, and fret about the minuscule things in life, my life is going in a very positive direction. I'm very happy with the friends I've chosen to be with, I'm happy that I've grown up and matured and have been able to make more decisions on my own, I'm happy that hopefully I'll be getting my AA degree in a year or two, and I'm very happy with my boyfriend , I have a convention in June to look forward to, and my health is getting better. And hopefully this will mean that I don't have to be in the hospital so much anymore. xD

CANCER:
I have only one more shot of chemo left. That's right, you heard me. ONE MORE! Woo! Well, provided of course that the cancer is in fact dead for the most part. There have been situations where people needed more chemo shots. I pray that I am not one of those people however. Hopefully they can get me started on radiation treatment soon.

SCHOOL:
School is school, I have been buckling down and plunging myself into my school work, which is a good thing.

DRAWING:
Trying to finish the rest of the character screen caps up. What I'm doing here is drawing everyone in the group who was dressed as a character at last years comic convention. Then, I'm going to put them all together in one big picture. Cool right?
I've already gotten Poison Ivy and Rena done. Working on Ada next. We'll see how that one goes.

LIFE:
I'm enjoying my life a lot right now. My best friend seems happy with her life, I'm happy with how my life is going, and a certain person who makes me happy. xD

LOOKING FORWARD TO:
The summer, then I can finally relax, go to a convention, possibly work part time, work on my fan comic of FMA, and lots more. yay for summer. Looking forward to the new Transformers movie and the Terminator movie. Yes, I'm a nerd!

So its been a while since I gave anyone on DA any updates, I might as well let you in on whats been going on in my life.

CANCER:
I'm down to four more shots of chemo, I wish there weren't ANY left, but unfortunately there are still some left. You know what sucks? Getting a shot the day before Valentines Day, and over Spring Break ugh. After that, I have about a month of radiation to go through, then I'm done supposedly with the whole deal. Anyway, I should be done with the shots in late March, so I need to go out and do something in celebration of that. I'm going to buy myself a chocolate cake!

DRAWING:
I haven't been drawing much lately, because well...chemo takes a lot out of you, plus school. Actually I shouldn't even use school as an excuse, but chemo is pretty legit for not drawing stuff. :< I swear I'll draw more stuff when I'm done with treatments!

IN OTHER NEWS:
I almost had a heart attack yesterday when we had to take my pet bird into the animal hospital. Apparantly he managed to get about the size of a quarter-full of lint stuck in his throat. I marvel at my bird sometimes. He turned out to be okay, but it was so scary for me, because I had bad experiences with bird doctors in the past -ahem- killed my former bird. *coff coff*

I took up knitting. Does that sound weird? Nobody I know does it anymore, except for older people. But I managed to make a scarf fairly successfully, which I'm proud of.

Looking forward to June. Getting a group together and taking a trip :3

So recently I submitted a piece that in my mind was really well done, perhaps you saw it? Entitled the Sea and me, I thought it was a great show of progression of my skills as an artist. I later find that it only has 30 something views. What the hell?

Now I've noticed this a lot on Deviant Art, but everyone here seems more obsessed with fan art, than they do with really well done art. Which I feel is an insult to the artists on this site that actually do a really good job with their art. No, I'm not trying to come across as arrogant person/artist, saying look at what i have created its better than anything you do, but i mean come on. I saw a stick figure drawing here that had more pageviews than any of my deviations. It was in the thousands okay? And you know why it had so many pageviews? Because it was final fantasy 7 related. Seriously, has DA become nothing more than a site for fan girls, I didn't sign up for a fangirl site, I signed for an art site when it originally manifested itself.

What further aggrevates me is the deviation in my gallery that has the most pageviews is the one with Vincent and Yuffie thats the flash animation. That's in the thousands. Its also from final fantasy 7. How Ironic.

I know nothing can really be done about it, and that this is really pointless, but could those of you who watch me possibly give me feedback on pieces that I do, if its a really good piece? I mean I draw to entertain you guys, plus its relaxing for me. And since I can't really go around school where theres professional art teachers and show it off, I'd appreciate more feedback on it, instead of comments from fangirls.

JOURNAL UPDATE:
So if you watch me on Gaia, I'm removing the art pieces that I actually care about. After realizing how many art thiefs that there are on that site, and how the admins on that site don't do anything about it...yeah. Basically I would rather have something like that happen on DA rather than on Gaia since I know that the probability of admins here doing stuff is higher than on Gaia. That's pretty much all I have to say.

CHEMO UPDATE:
Alright, 2 down 10 to go. I should be halfway done with them by the end of December. Meaning that a total of 6 will be done.

ARTWORK UPDATE:
Because I dropped another class I should be able to get back into the groove of things and post more art, which is something you've all been wanting back I know, haha. In any case, I already have my photoshop back now all I need to do is get my scanner and Tablet re-installed and I should be good to go. Been working on a piece that really outdoes most of the digital work I've done. Fufufufu!

SCHOOL:
School is school. Just let me get through the semester with a good grade lol.

I must confess I will be very relieved when this presidential race is done and over with. It's not that I can't stand politics, Lord knows my family is full of politics. It's the stupid people I can't stand. The ones who have to have a biased opinion on stuff, even if its incredibly stupid. Just yesterday I read on a journal that someone thought that Obama was a terrible man since you know he "accepts funds from terrorists", cuz you know he totally is one.

Seriously? What the hell. And you know this how? Wouldn't that make the entire country not vote for him? I was under the impression that most people in the San Diego area were a bit smarter than to call someone running for President a terrorist just because he looks different. That's something you hear at a Mccain rally by his followers. Please note I did not say by Mccain, I said followers. I'm just really amazed at the level of stupidity some voters have reached, it amazes me to no end.

I would like to say that I'm not biased towards either candidate. Frankly I don't like either, and I'm pretty sure most of the country feels the same way. What I can't stand is someone bashing a candidate with no proof. I know in politics you DO play dirty that's how it works, but saying things that have no physical evidence in an argument or any reliable sources is just dumb in my opinion.

Please if you are going to vote, vote for what you believe in, vote based on facts, and NOT because your party is telling you to do so. Nor should you vote just because someone tells you to. REad up on the facts, go over in your mind what you know is right. And DON'T BUY INTO EVERYTHING YOU SEE IN THE MEDIA! Be smart.

Hm so where to begin. My name is Katie, you know me as Temarinyo on this art site, I'm in college, 22 years old, and a couple of weeks ago I was just diagnosed with cancer. Now before EVERYBODY flips out let me explain a couple of things:

--Some of you might think that writing a journal about my health is an attention grabber and stupid and something only a myspace groupie would do. I would like to argue that this is how I update friends online, as well as deviant watchers that have watched me throughout the years. I don't NEED attention from anybody, I'm just simply updating my journal as I promised I would do and making everyone feel reassured that I will be okay. And will continue to do so since its the right thing to do in my opinion. This is also being done so I don't need to repeat information so many times to people.--

--What I have is something called Hodgekins Lymphoma. A type of lymph node cancer. Very curable, very treatable. In fact, "non-hodgekins" is more dangerous than hodgekins. But I need to go through chemotherapy and radiation treatment for it. This is unfortunately the only way to treat it since I have malignant tumors in my body. Malignant means bad, benign means not life threatening.
Since they caught it early, and since I'm young I'm better off with these treatments. I'm not saying it'll be a walk in the park, but rest assured that I will be fine. The Cure rate is in the high 90%'s, meaning that the doctors WILL find and kill the cancer. I've met with about 3 different doctors, and they've all said the same thing. I can be cured. That's all I care about, and that's all that everyone should care about. --

--After many tests, they found tumors in my neck as well as some a bit below the collar bone. I already started treatment last Wednesday and have been out of it for the last seven days. They had me on a lot of drugs lol. Side effects have included nausea, a throbbing head, chest pains, neck pains, small appetite, a lot of weight loss and ear aches and so on. The good news is that I never had a fever, or threw up, which all things considered is an amazing feat, granted the circumstances.--

--Chemo is good for a lot of reasons. Well at least one main reason, it attacks cells that multipy at an alarming rate. Unfortunately if you're a girl it also tries to attack your eggs. so I'm going to be on drugs to prevent that, but thats also going to put my body in a menopausal like state for a while. Cancer and Menopause I have the two worst excuses in the world for anything now! I had to have a porto-cath installed last monday which is what they administer chemo into, and it goes into one of the main veins a lot easier. Its a lot easier than potentially burning up veins or infecting them via the chemicals in chemo. It sounds like a huge device, but in reality its really small, and hardly noticeable unless you're up close to the person.--

--Treatments will be twice a month for 6 months. The doctors said that if all goes well and if theres a lot of progress made on the chemo's side of things, I might not need so many chemo shots. We have 11 total left to do. I have managed to recover for the most part from the last chemo treatment, so not to worry too much.--

--I am still trying to finish my two classes at school; Art and History while doing chemo. Its only 8 more weeks left of class, I think I can do it. The teachers are pretty understanding. apparantly cancer is a pretty good excuse. Haha!--

--The last bit of update information I have, is that since the chemo started, the tumors in my neck have gone down in size considerably. Which is remarkable. Maybe I'll write a book about my experience when this is all over.
For the most part I'm keeping up a positive attitude, and making jokes. I don't see the point in being "EMO" about it, since I can be cured. Maintaining an optimistic attitude is what gets you through things, and its worked out pretty well so far. Anyone who says differently is incompetent or just plain stupid. That's about all the health updates I have for you right now. I'll keep everyone posted.--

Hello to all!
Well we figured out whats going on with my health, and I'll post a journal about it when I get the time to do so later, I do promise to update everyone, don't worry. I would like to ask those of you that do know, to keep your mouths quiet, as it is not your job to inform everyone that watches my artsite about what goes on in my life please.

SCHOOL:
Just got finished with my midterms, I can honestly say I'm glad they're over. I'll have to see how I fared next week.

HALLOWEEN:
Everything with my outfit is near completion. I just need to make a trip to Michaels and then I should be done with it. Need to find some heart earrings, or make them if I have to.

COMPUTER:
Its back, it works, my files were saved, I haven't checked them out yet. The only downside is that they uninstalled the wireless adapter application. So now we get to call tech-support. Yay tech support.

ARTWORK:
Hahaha! I really wish to draw more stuff, but I'm behind on a couple of assignments mainly due to hospital visits, plus my internets is not working properly and I just got a Nintendo DS. The last excuse is a poor one I know! xD But I just got a crapload of games and they're all screaming my name to play. Particuarly Zelda: The Minish Cap, Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass, Disgaea, and Sonic Chronicles. What can I say, I'm a gamer!

I do want to post two pieces at some point in time. One of which is a Starfox plate, and the second is a new Deviant ID. The Deviant ID is going to look great, I can't wait for everyone to see it xD

I'm writing this journal via from the Library since my computer has no internet access. But yes, my computer managed to get a really HUGE virus, as I mentioned earlier in the previous journal. And I hope that all my artwork can be saved. D:
We're going to be taking it to the Geek Squad just because my Dad's in a real rush to get this done and taken care of. So I shall be without a computer for 10 days or so. Try not to miss me TOO much.

HEALTH:
As far as my health goes, we're going to find out tomorrow what exactly is in my neck. A part of it was removed already and it was bigger than a quarter in size and looked gross.
We hope that its not anything bad like a cancer related thing or a tumor related thing, but if it is, then we'll work with it as best as we can. But hopefully its just a cyst or something.

SCHOOL:
School's driving me nuts as well, HA! But who doesn't get driven insane by school these days? LOL! Been trying to take it easy and whatnot though.

HALLOWEEN:
I'm so proud of my Halloween costume this year, the only hint I can give everyone is that its from Alice in Wonderland, I'll see if I can post pictures later. xD

UPDATES FOR ART:
I was thinking of posting any artwork that I've been doing for my art classes up here, since I won't have any access to any computers for a while. A bunch of Charcoal stuff. Oh, and I need to find out where those plate pictures went that I made. >.>;

I will be off of aim for a while, so you guys can't really contact me, unless its by email. Sorry about that

HEALTH:
So some of you may already know that I have some kind of a weird bump on my neck about the size of two apple slices. Don't worry I don't have anything you can catch! xD This came up about a month ago and I was given a prescription and all was fine, and the bump seemed to decrease in size. Unfortunately within the last week or so it got immensely worse. I had x-rays and too many blood tests than I care to remember taken, and it was confirmed that I don't have a tumor, so relax. Something the size of two apple slices if it was a tumor would have shown up I'm sure. But anyway, I go in tomorrow for a neck doctor to take a look at it. There are two possibilities that its either a cyst or the body's defense mechanism related to getting sick to something. And I'll probably have to get surgery during the school week to have whatever it is removed. Oh joy! LOL
Either way, I'll know more tomorrow. I hope its nothing serious, that would suck lol xD
My arm with my plate in it has decided to be excruciatingly painful as well as of late.

CLASSES:
On a side note, classes are going well, I'm getting through all classes to the best of my abilities, had a math test recently, not sure how that went. Art is easy, history's easy I just need to be religious about doing all the reading.

CAR SHOPPING:
Honda's are now at the last resort list. Toyota's are much more appealing to me. The corolla was my first pick and then comes the Rav 4. If anyone asks me to drive a Yaris...well that thing doesn't have air bags...so yeah none of that. The only downside to the corolla is the color selection, yeah I know that's a stupid reason, but I want a particular kind of blue for my first car. xD I'm interested in test driving the Toyota Matrix, which has everything the corolla does I just need to check out if I like it and what the safety ratings are on it. My dad wants me take a look at used cars, no argument there, and possibly a Lexus. I'm looking at 4 door, sunroof, late 20-30+ mpg, nice color blue, safe, roomy and comfy cars right now.

OTHER THINGS:
Our dog just got back from his tooth surgery, there's always a chance that small dogs won't make it through surgeries so we're glad he's safe. My mom had to also have surgery on her teeth, last week, and she also has to walk around with a limp since she did something to her leg. I hope she feels better. I know that me having my own car will be better for her since she won't have to worry so much about dropping me off at school as much.

CERAMICS
Alright, so as of now ceramics commissions are closed. Don't request any, you're not going to get a deal with me on them. I say this, just because not having my own car and having my wacky college schedule as it is, interferes with how often I can pick up the ceramics and go back and forth with that. Even a request by a friend, took 2-3 more weeks than was anticipated by me. So until I get a car, there won't be any ceramics for a while. Sorry.

ART PROGRESS
Working on my DA ID, whenever I have the time, which is NOT during the week. It's maybe an hour tops on the weekend.

PRE-HALLOWEEN
Stopped by last weekend and saw a TON of Halloween outfits that you can't find at party city, I'll have to keep everyone updated with that. I saw a female mad hatter outfit, and a couple of Geisha dresses. I'm really tempted to buy one or the other xD

CAR PROGRESS
Well we went to at least one dealership. I actually did not like the newer Honda Civic, but instead liked the Honda CR-V. The only problem is the gas mileage on the CR-V is similar to what my mom has on her car. If it had 10 more mpg I might have wanted it more. This weekend we're checking out a Toyota dealership. Going to see how much I enjoy Yaris's and Prius's and others. I know one thing at least, I want a blue car LOL!
....And my friend and I both agree that an Autobot sticker must be put somewhere on the car. (She has a Decepticon sticker on hers, LOL)

SCHOOL
Don't even get me started on this semester, I despise pretty much all classes [even art]except for my History class.

In other news it was the first week of school, and I'm already wiped out from it. I found out that I only need to take 5 more classes and then I will be completely done with all of my GE classes. Which means I can begin working on my major classes after this! Yay! (It's all art classes, why else would I say "YAY"?) I will be looking closely at schools to transfer out to in the next year or so. So those of you that hang out with me on a regular basis, you got me for about another year or two before I decide to transfer out.

Within the next week or so:
My mom and I are going to be looking at cars a lot more closely now in terms of buying stuff. :3 That idea makes me happy, since the idea of buying my own car, where nobody else NEEDS it, sounds wonderful. xD I was leaning more towards Honda Civics personally. A Yaris would be nice, but the chances of finding one used doesn't sound too good.

Later on:
I plan on working all of this summer. I mean as much as I want to be getting all classes done at once, I would much rather be earning money. I haven't had a single summer to do that, since I've been involved with either summer school or lawyer meetings, and now for the first time I can take full advantage of getting a job. So that makes me happy.

Art wise:
I am working on one more ceramic request for a friend, and I can't reveal what's going to be on it. If by chance the ceramics place is open tomorrow, then I'll finish it up there. But after this, I'm going to have to say no to any ceramic commissions for a while. It's just too much of a hassle, what with me not having a car of my own, and it interferes with my school schedule. I'll do it this once, because its a request of a friend, but other than that, I'm not going to for a while.

Works in Progress, done on the side:
I have been working on a new Deviantart I.D. Personally, because the art style I use now is very different than the one I was using two years ago. Aaaand I also am trying out a new coloring style, which involves more reasonably realistic coloring. A tendency I have is always trying to outdo what I had created previously, and since I'm a perfectionist whore, it works out. I wanted to do coloring similar to the Midna picture I made.

I was Ada Wong from Resident Evil, my friend Cat was a White Mage from the first Final Fantasy, and Gabbie was Lydia from the cartoon show Beetlejuice.
My friends Amanda and Carl went as Meryl Silverburgh from Metal Gear Solid and Snake Pliskin from Escape from New York. My friend John just dressed randomly up, he was jack sparrow, the joker, with a hint of vodka to put it in a nut shell. And then we ran into Ariel who was dressed up as Rena from Higurashi, Danica who was dressed up as Poison Ivy from Batman, and their friend who's name escapes my mind right now, was dressed up as Tamaki from Ouran High School Host Club.

Whew! Thats a lot to say!
Anyway there were a couple of highlights of the convention which mainly just involved other cosplayers and hilarity. First of all there were these cosplayers that decided to dress up as the entire cast of the Pirates 3: At World's End. We're talking Cutler Beckett, Barbossa, and yes even the wenches that hit Jack Sparrow in the movie. Anyway I insisted on having my picture taken with Barbossa only because the guy cosplaying him was totally in character and it was awesome. xD
He told me I needed a gun and started to give me one of his, so I showed him my gun on my leg and he said, "Oi! You already have a gun lass!" xD It was just so funny, and then the guy dressed up as a pretty good Jack Sparrow came into the picture saying, "I want in on this mate," it was so hilarious.

The other incident which was really funny was when Danica, Ariel and I found a Joker that was extremely similar to how the Joker was in the Dark Knight movie. Like, I'm talking about his mannerisms and voice, and the guy was totally in character too it was so creepy. And he did the whole, "You remind me of my wife....and the you remind me of my father" bit with me. He had a plastic knife. Like I knew it was a plastic knife, but I was so in an adrenaline rush and slightly creeped out mode after he did that, but the guy was funny.So he insisted on doing a picture with me. I had my picture taken like 40 something times it was very interesting and entertaining.

Next day we only went for an hour since we woke up late, but it was still fun. We went with Ben and Tyler and then stayed later and watched a Batman anime related movie among other things :3
Anyway it was fun, I might go again next year, provided that the entire group still wants to go.

I can honestly say I've had the greatest three weeks off from school ever. Been hanging out with friends, hanging out with a certain guy been doing sleepovers at my friend's houses, been drawing more, and also been working on work applications. Even dealing with new drama still couldn't keep me down; courtesy of my mom and certain people in the friends circle.

Need to do a few more before the weekend is over. A good friend of mine comes back to the states this Sunday, so that will be great to see here again. :3
I need to start working on that FMA comic sooner or later like in the next week or so. I REALLY WANT TO! I've just been enjoying my break so much I've lost track of time. xD

Cosplay:
The outfit already arrived, and I took it to the tailors. I have the shoes, my friend has the weapon replica, I just need to check it out. I have my necklace. IT was so awesome, I found a biohazard pendent. Which is absolutely PERFECT for Ada's outfit! Lastly, I need to go look for gunner gloves, and then thats it! Whomever said you had to be asian to pull off ada wong can go jump off a cliff, cuz i'm pulling it off! I need to actually start losing more weight for comic con, I'll be coming up with a self discipline thing in the next few days for myself to help with my figure. My figure is not that bad, its the stomach that needs to lose weight, i am kind thin, but i dont like my figure. v_v The only person who's said I need to lose weight has been my mom, whereas every single guy I've hung out with says the opposite. Meh. I'm working on it.

That's about it for right now. I've just been improving my coloring skills with photoshop as youve probably seen.

Volunteering just got better since I'm apparantly not going to be so lenient with the kids and their acting up in the library.

And I'll be on call whenever needs me for her backgrounds and bird drawings. Going to hold off on the mincomics for a while, I want to submit some more club art for my clubs.
