It's snowing. The temperature is 1 degree Fahrenheit with WCF. The wind's so strong, our power keeps going out... This is really the time of the season, isn't it?

Seriously, though, while I like this time of year, I could live without the cold. I don't like the cold. I really don't.

I've got the internet again and I finally checked my messages. So much stuff. So much.

I also found out Groups existed, so I applied to make one and it got accepted. Wally-World: For all your Wally (Mitsuru) from Pokemon needs.

I got a giftcard for Amazon from Coinstar, so I used it to buy Death Note 12 and 13 - they're so good! - Ayakashi Samurai Horror Tales: Yotsuba Ghost Story and Goblin Cat, and a charger for my Wii-motes.

Oh, yeah, I haven't written anything in this since September. In October, on my birthday - the 13th, my sister and her BF got me a Wii. I was sooo thrilled. I'm still pretty darn thrilled. I want to punch world hunger in the jaw I'm sooo happy.

Bleach has good filler. Naruto is getting good too, though, its filler sucks, so I skip it. Shugo Chara is very cute, though, Ikuto is really creepy. I like some of the filler. Lulu is really amusing!

I've still been drawing. I've been playing video games too.

I wasn't expecting Star Ocean: The Last Hope to be as good as it is. I like how you can change who you control during battle and how you knock enemies into the air, so physical people aren't completely useless, since enemies can't use magic while they're up there. And Faize and Lymle are adorable.

I don't have the internet, so I'm accessing it from the library now.

I have been playing Saga Frontier a lot lately. It's an 11 year old game for the PSX, but it has aged well gameplay-wise. Anyway, I am surprised at the dearth of fanworks for this game. I see creepy slash for everything under the sun, but this game with honest to goodness homosexuals has nothing. I guess that's just how the cookie crumbles.

I've also been playing Pokemon Diamond. I like how the partner characters can be used in the Battle Tower. Mira has such crazy hair!

I want to practice making comics, so I've been doing that. I don't have anything I'd like to show, yet.

I'm looking forward to Screnzy next month.

To make up for the fact that I couldn't do anything for the holiday, I've decided to offer new year's gift art. I've seen people do characters on bases and I'd like to try it. If you're interested, just comment saying so and give me a link to what you want drawn - it can be fan art or your own character.

Memories
I got the idea for this from .

I have mixed feelings about my art. I look at the back end and front ends of my gallery and see that I've improved, but there's so much I don't know and there're so many things I can improve.

I've been drawing for a long time, but I haven't improved much until fairly recently. Back then, I didn't think I was the best, but the people around me mostly praised me and I never got any constructive critique. Of course, back then, I was also a realist. I don't think anyone can tell this by looking at my art now.

As for how my art shifted from realism to w/etf it is now... *points to icon* Yes, it is because of Flaaffy. Or to be more specific, because of Ken Sugimori. That is why Flaaffy is my avatar and why Sugimori is one my favorite artists. When I first saw Flaaffy's concept art, I was compelled to draw it. I drew it in pencil, crayons, pastels, glitter glue... Pretty much, I drew a Flaaffy in whatever medium I could get my hands on. I also started doing abstract art inspired by Flaaffy's head wool. Some of this ended on a magazine cover for independent school. This poor girl was obsessed.

In retrospect, this was not a very good idea. I don't have a grip on realism now. I kind of wish I had some guidance, like, "Hey, I know you like drawing Flaaffy, but you might want to do some more realistic stuff too. Like, how about a realistic Flaaffy?" As a kid, the idea of drawing something stylistic realistically didn't occur to me. I just drew what I wanted to draw.

I remember thinking back then digital art wasn't "real art" when I saw some in the DIA as part of a DPS student art exhibition. When I tried to draw in MSPaint, myself, I saw I was clearly, clearly, CLEARLY mistaken. It's just as tough. I have callouses on my fingers from traditional art and more on my wrist from digital art!

Later on, in high school, I took art class and the things I was learning kind of blew my mind. I didn't know about shading and all before. The teacher may have sucked, but what she taught was sound. I carried what I learned there into my own art and since I had more knowledge, I was able to see what I liked about others' art and what I disliked about mine. Before, I was just, like, "I like this." and "I don't like that." but I had no reason why and I had no idea how to improve.

Now, I draw mostly for fun. I draw from observation, from photos, and I try to emulate things I see other artists to. I still have a lot maturing to do art-wise.

I.R.P.O. is a crime drama with a fantasy setting. The main character, is Damian, the Prince of Diamonds. He is a gem spirit and therefore, the son of the king of light and the queen of earth. He was born and raised in the realm of earth and knows little of his father. He has a strong sense of justice, but is spoiled and used to having things come easily to him. When he comes of age and decides to leave the realm to meet his father, he discovers the outside world is more difficult than he thought and gets lost. The Inter-Realm Police Organization - I.R.P.O. - is recruiting and it appeals to him, so he signs up for the training, passes, works there as a police officer for years, and then becomes a detective.

Progress: 10%. Character designs; I've only got the hero and his mother done.

La Patisserie. Original comic. Comedy.

The old version of this comic is in my Scraps.

Waffle Iron is the product of Le Salé's cutting-edge technology. Perhaps a little too cutting-edge. What should've been a child's plush toy turned into a WMD after too many overzealous scientists built in things, like knives and laser guns. After blowing up the convention center she was being shown off in, she tries to live a normal life in the quiet town of La Patisserie in Le Sucré of the Realm of Light - a.k.a. Paradis. But with bounty hunters and a vengeful holy man on her tail, it's not going to be easy.

Progress: 60%. Story, character designs, layout; This is a remake, so it's essentially done, but I want to update the characters' designs and rewrite the script.

Now With 80% More Wisconsin Dairy Products! Original comic. Comedy.

Milk "Mimi" Smith is an 18 year old girl from Westby, Wisconsin. She's fresh out of high school with aspirations of becoming a model. She moves to Green Bay and hires an agent who gets her some appointments in New York City, New York. Things are going well enough until she is attacked by a monster that seemingly only she can see. She is captured by it and dragged to another world. There, things only get stranger. She meets a little "girl" with the same name as her who goes to fight the monster. Mimi goes to help "her" and ends up in a contract with the queen of water, which lets her becomes a mage. Now, Mimi has to worry about helping Milk purge the world of demons, in addition to getting a modeling job.

Progress: 10%. Story; This was originally a short story of mine, so the story's done. I need to convert it to a script and design the characters now.

Heroes is a good show - I hope Ando isn't really dead! - and My Own Worst Enemy seems like it's going to be good. I like Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann too - Rossieu seems to have become a prick as of late, though - but whatever happened to Now and Then, Here and There? Did Sci-Fi air the last ep. already? ...oy.

I still don't have a computer, but I get by and that's what matters.

This time around, these're all ideas for comics.

Anyway, I get a lot of ideas in my head. More ideas than I have time to pursue at any one time, actually. Because of this, I've decided to write all of my ideas down and come back to them later.

Chances are, I know more about the idea that I write down, but I just write down the general idea, because writing down everything would be too time consuming and chances are, I'd end up getting more ideas while writing the ideas and the idea would just get bigger and bigger to the point where I might as well be writing the story instead of the idea for the story.

If anyone reads this and wants to see one of these ideas finished, then just say so. That gives me incentive. Also, comments and critiques of these ideas are appreciated. Questions are good too.

Idea Dump

Adventures in Environmental Engineering. Original comic. Urban fantasy.

Ever since he was a child, Aidan Ignasius had always been fascinated by fire. His parents, unlike most, when they saw their child playing with matches and lighters, instead of scolding him and trying to prevent the behavior, actually encouraged it. When he is of school age, his parents begin to worry when stacks of books take the place of his matchbooks and hire a private tutor to help him further his education. Alas, Aidan still prefers the written word and the knowledge it contains to setting things on fire.

The story starts with an adult Aidan, an environmental engineer well into his 30's, receiving two letters in the mail. One from his parents and the other from the International Symposium on Environmental Sciences. He is more interested in the latter than the former, but he reads them both anyway. Apparently, he is invited to two very important meetings...all on the same day. What's a poor guy like Aidan to do? When his maid, Susan, sees him distressed, she asks about what's the matter, and he explains the situation to her. She notices a thirty minute difference between the start up times, and asks Aidan why can't he just leave one early, saying that it's a family matter, and then go to the other as it's starting up.

Aidan decides to follow Susan's advice and leaves the International Symposium on Environmental Sciences early to attend the other meeting with his parents as it is starting up. Not much information about the meeting was given in the letter his parents sent him, but apparently, his parents had been deceiving him his entire life. All of the people at the meeting, including Aidan's parents, are attired in strange garb, like something straight out of a fantasy novel. In fact, Aidan is the only one there in normal clothes. He is called up as the Representative of the Ignasius Family of Fire, and he learns that, his entire life, he was being raised to fulfill its purpose of producing a Firebearer. Representatives of the Aquvy Family of Water, Terrani Family of Earth, and Aeran Family of Air are also present with their respective Waterbearer, Earthbearer, and Airbearer. After the meeting, Aidan is understandably peeved. His parents attempt to explain the situation to him, but he is too angry to listen, and he goes home, fuming.

Maya Aquvy, a high school English teacher in her 20's, is the self-proclaimed rival of Aidan Ignas. She meets him at the meeting, and since then, she dedicates herself to defeating him. She frequents his place of work, which is when Aidan begins to get concerned. He fears that if Maya lets slip that he was at that meeting and that he is a magic user, then the scientific community won't take him seriously anymore. After a bit of cajoling, he manages to convince Maya to quit this incessant behavior and even gets her to help him with his next project.

Adam Terrani, a lawyer in his 20's, is first met by Aidan and Maya as they are going through the forest to check out a nearby lake for one of Aidan's projects. They find him lying down on his back in the bough of a tree with Bose noise canceling headphones on and with orange earmuffs on over that. It turns out that he is here to check on the lake here. There is a bridge about to be built over it, and his clients want to make sure that there's no messy paperwork to take care of first. Since they're going to the same place, they ask Adam to come with them. A strange trait is associated with the Terran family. The members of this family are able to hear the wavelength that plants communicate with. Despair! Despair! I am in despair!

I consider myself a normally happy person, so I'm not used to this, but this how I feel and I've got to vent.

I hate everything. Not really, but I'm not sure how else to put it. It seems like my support system is made of peanut brittle or something. My elders are dicks.

I'm using my sister's computer now.

My computer doesn't work. It turned on, but it restarted once it reached the Windows XP title screen. I backed up the stuff I did before the blackout, but everything I did afterwards is probably gone. I'll just have to redo all of it. I'm not happy about that, but I'm hoping the quality of art/writing will be better the second time around.

I'm waiting for my financial aid to get processed. It'll take 4-6 weeks. The soonest I'll be able to go back to college is January. Financial holds suck.

In better news, I'm an aunt. I think my nephew's awfully cute. In unbelievable news, I babysat him and he turned out fine.

I also got Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time. IMO that game is what Pokemon Collesseum should've been. The story actually has twists and I like mystery dungeon games, so I'm really enjoying it. I might do fan art.

I painted. I can't scan it, because if I did, where'd it go? I have no computer. Anyway, I haven't done that since elementary school, so it was refreshing. I'd like to practice doing that more.

I got a lot of ideas again. I'll need to idea dump again. Since I haven't made any comics in a while, so I'd like to make a bunch of one shots for people to vote on. I better go practice.

...I'll be 19 in twelve more days, won't I? That's not a good thing to forget!

Princess Tutu, Fancy Lala, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha and its sequels MGLN As and MGLN Strikers, Zero no Tsukaima and its sequel ZnT Futatsuki no Kishi, Ayakashi Japanese Classic Horror and its spin-off Mononoke, Sayanora Zetsubo Sensei and its sequel SZS Zoku, Ghost Dog, and Toward the Terra/Terra e are all amazing, unpopular anime worthy of being watched.

Speaking of Toward the Terra, I just finished watching it. I found the ones I missed in French. Blue and Keith are just amazing - they're definitely my favorite characters - and Keith/Matsuka... : ) I'm tempted to draw this Keith with the Keith from Psychic Force, because word play amuses me so! TBH they'd be trying to kill eachother. Like this:

Anyway, while unpopular anime can be good, some popular ones are also great, like Bleach! That's getting to be really good! Naruto really needs to pick up the pace, though. Some of these episodes felt like Koreans were doing them just to get paid, you know? No offense to Koreans.

I also plug libraries. Go to one, if possible. This one at the uni is a treasure trove of multimedia information. I read so much Death Note! SO MUCH! L is awesome. I keep drawing graffitti of him on Facebook.

First things first, whoever gets me for the Valentine's Day Exchange, I like sheep and rabbits, so anything themed that I will like. I like Flaaffy, especially this one. I love the new organizational system dA has for galleries! That's probably old news, but I only just realized that it existed. It's so cool and useful! I just organized all of my artwork, now. I used to have trouble finding some old stuff, but thanks to it, that is a problem no longer.

Doing this made me realize that some of the stuff in the backend of my gallery is really crap! I look/read some of the stuff and just want to laugh. Some of the things that made me gleam back then make me bown my head in shame, now. The Future is probably my best example of this. After finishing that series, I felt so happy. I lost feeling in my hands, but I didn't care, because I had just 26 pages of awesome prose along with kick-butt illustrations! Ye~ah! Looking at it, now, though, I see that the narrative was average and just plain not very good in some parts and the art...I don't even want to get started on the art...

While MSTing your own work is probably not the most productive thing to do, it certainly is fun and I can't resist! Take this, for example:
I sighed. I was still pinching my nose. “Uh…I still need to go.” I looked at Liaison. “Don’t you ever need to go?”

“Everyone has to go.”
This exchange sounds like something out a Dora the Explorer or Wonderpets episode. Go, vamanos! The fact that these guys' dad actually is Mexican does not help to wipe the connection from my mind.

Or this:
I thought this was really funny when I first wrote it. A lot of people, namely my mom, thought it was unrealistic for an apartment to cost 1000, but this is the Future and 1000 is like a million or something...so deal with it.
*sarcasm* Research stifles creativity! Just set your stuff in the Future - it needs to be capitalized, because it's just that awesome and important - and pull things out your bum! *endsarcasm* If I were to write this now, then I'd actually look up apartments and make up something based on that. I wouldn't do...this. No, just no.

Or what about this:
Sweetie ran up to me and put her arms around me. Then, she kissed me. “I love you Nyirthan-Liaison.”

I was surprised. She had guessed my name correctly! “How did you know?”

“I love you!”
This isn't that bad, just strange and out of place. It's not a good love scene at all.

What surprises me, though, is how good the fight scenes were. Like this:
“But, I won’t lose.” Then, Alton bent back and underwent some type of transformation. He became bigger and his muscles began to bulge. “Hahaha!” His voice was deeper. “I told you that I wasn’t going to lose – no matter what!” He ran towards Liaison and knocked him into a building. Then, he pounded him deeper and deeper. After this, he picked up Liaison by his head, spun him around, and threw him towards a distant cliff.

Liaison opened his eyes. He had more time to react, so he went through the cliff unharmed and teleported back to the city behind Alton. When Alton turned to see who it was, Liaison was already gone.

When Liaison blasted him a second time, Alton turned around to meet the blow. Liaison’s eyes opened wide. He wasn’t expecting this. He tried to run, but Alton grabbed him and head butt him straight to the skull. Liaison collapsed.
Day~um, I could write some good schnitzelsammeln back in 8th grade. I can barely believe I wrote this stuff! I thought I sucked at fight scenes. AFAICT cutting back on descriptive language - if you took a paragraph to describe a sword, chances are, you effed up - and making good use of jargon and transitional phrases help make for good fight scenes.

I just needed to get that off of my chest.

After doing all of this, I want to write/draw something else with these character again. I actually updated a lot of things about them. During vacation, the internet died. I feel bad, because I signed up for an art trade and now, the other person is going to get her thing late.

The internet works fine here, though.

Things have been really eventful. I moved back in early, but I lost my key, so I was locked out of my room, and I had to sleep at a motel with my sister. I am so glad no one hates me for that. It makes me love the people around me even more. WTF did I do to deserve such wondrous people around me?! The DS charger went missing at home too and I don't have a cable for my GCN, so I won't be gaming anytime soon. I also don't have a water bottle. I always forget that. The only time I remember is when I'm thirsty in the middle of the night... I had to drink soymilk. It's just not the same...

In better news, I am currently loving my IAH class. I've already read some of the assigned short stories and one of the novels we were assigned is - get this - a graphic novel. All of the assigned reading is available in the library too, so that means I can save my money to buy other text books...

...speaking of text books. I'm waiting for my brother, so I can buy a math one.

I hate Toni Morrison's Beloved. I hate all of her books. Song of Solomon? Sucked. The Bluest Eye? Sucked even more. Why the hell do I keep being assigned books by this author?! This is metaphorically killing me here!

Anyway, my professor gave the writing final early. Guess what it's on? Mother NFBSKing Beloved! I have to find six second-person resources to quote from when writing my essay. I've finally done it and I must say, these writers are the masters of epileptic tree crackass-crack theories. Did you know Beloved was a succubus? Did you know Beloved never existed and the whole book was the result of Sethe's dissociative personality disorder? OMG! The stuff these sources are putting down is hilarious. I'm quoting them for my essay too. It's on masculinity and I'm using Paul D as an example. Basically, I'm arguing men aren't born men, they're made into men. My professor says my theses are weak, so I'm trying to buff this one up.

These next few weeks, I have finals, so if I disappear from DA, that's why.

I go on Thankgiving vacation this Wednesday. I'm really looking forward to it. When I get back down to Detroit, I want to update my wardrobe - it's so cold and get some art and school supplies. Someone stole all of my dry erase markers for my whiteboard and they overcharge here, so yes, I need to replace them.

I've been drawing on MSPaint - mostly commissions and mini-shop items for Gaia - and writing for NaNoWriMo.

Ooh, and I just finished watching Rozen Maiden. It is so good! I remember thinking the whole time, I love Souseiseki and if there was a Souseiseki doll, I'd have to get it. Well, it turns out there's a Souseieki Pullip doll! (O_O) It's, like, $100, but I want it so badly. If I got it, I couldn't buy any video games, though. Hmm... Indecision strikes again.

Speaking of video games, I need to research TVs. The one I have now can't hook up to a Wii. Itsuxxorzors! (>_>

I have discovered that my math homework becomes much easier when I do it after a night of well deserved rest.

Last night I went to a concert with my younger sister who took a bus here from Detroit, my older brother, and . It was sooo much fun! The OP band was not horrible, even though the drums did make me feel kind of sick, and the actual band played all of my favorite songs. They also played some songs that sucked. I only liked one of their newer songs. It was a short concert with, like, an hour long intermission ( >_> ), but I had a lot of fun. I'm happy.

Anyway, right now, since I just finished my math homework, I'm thinking of working on my novel for NaNoWriMo some more. Writing is so fun and I'm hoping the practice will help my essays for writing class get better too.

College is going very well to me. My courses aren't difficult, I have a helpful tutor, I've met a lot of nice people, there are a lot of fun things to do, and last - but not least - I have a dorm room all to myself! There was some controversy about whether or not I'd be kicked out, but everything's sorted out, now, which makes me very happy!

Right now, I only have two problems:
I need to make an appointment with my math professor. I have no idea what my grade in that class is. However, her office hours are identical to those of my tutor, so I'll have to miss tutoring to see her. I plan to go Tuesday.

Job. I thought getting employed would be easy. It's not. I've applied to three places - two libraries and a coffee place - got an interview with one of the libraries and still didn't get hired. I want a job, so that I have money. I know I have scholarships and all and I can already buy a Wii - just need to find one - but I want money in case of an emergency or maybe so that I can buy prints or commission stuff to put on my plain walls.

I haven't had much time to draw or write. I doodle a lot and when I write, I find my myself writing about really off the wall things. I really want to do NaNoWriMo! Maybe I'll finish this time around.

Oh, yes, Diamond is fun! It's the WiFi that makes it for me. I named the hero Citan and the rival Sigurd. Now, I squee whenever they're on screen. XD The engineering college has two WiFi hotspots in it for obvious reasons, so I plan to go there later. Yosh!

My birthday is in 11 more days. I'll be turning 18. Yay!

I came back from Detroit, yesterday. My classes yesterday and some today were canceled. I don't know why and don't exactly care, but I do enjoy the extra free time. Ooh, and I have paper! (^o^) Now, I don't have to draw on fliers anymore. I want to buy a Wii. I'll probably never shut up about that and with good reason. SSBB!!! Things have been rather uneventful, but I'm all for that. Now, to study for that math quiz tomorrow...

This is something that comes to mind sometimes, but I never get to chance to jot down. Since I have a keyboard handy now, I might as well type it now, before I forget. A lot of people say that I draw well and some ask why I'm here for engineering as opposed to CCS for art. When I take art classes, my class mates say that I'm really good. At the end of the school year, though, class mates that were on equal footing with me or, as they'd put it, worse than me are able to draw even better than me. I've gotten better, as well, but I'm not as good as they are and they keep getting better. When I see things like this, I feel so mixed. On one hand, I'm very happy that people I like are doing things they like to do well, but on the other hand, I feel that I'm very slow. I can see that I'm improving, but these other people are improving faster and really have no answer for why this is the case. It's not like I don't like to draw. I do. However, I like other things too as much as I like art and I find them intermingling at times. I can't choose one over the other. They're stuck together. So, that's why I'm here.

I see people who worry about having too many original characters. I don't think anyone should worry about that. I have tons of original characters. I have so many, it'd be a project to draw them all. In fact, it is my personal project to get reference images of them all drawn. This project is not going so well. It seems like as soon as I get something done, a new idea comes to mind. I was drawing anthropomorphic silk moth and butterfly-dog, Hikaru and Heruba, respectively, when I got the idea - somewhat inspired from snopes.com - for two dogs, Haato (Heart) and Souru (Soul) and they'd be the stars of Heart+Soul. It would be about two dogs, floppy eared Haato and docked Souru who have been together since they were puppies. They are dumped on the streets in a box in the rain and Nyusan-Liaison finds them and keeps them, but his father, Leo, hates dogs and thinks it's a big enough pain to allow Nyusan-Liaison to keep one dog, Fenny. That's really all I've got. Anyway, something happens and it flashes forwards to Haato and Souru as adults and they're people. They're like that, because they're the same as Fenny. Anyway, they decide to go on a quest to find Nyusan-Liaison and ask him why he ditched them. Haato's the sweet, naive type, while Souru's bitter and street wise. That's all I've got right, now. The dogs plague my poor date book. (TT_TT)

I have so many ideas, it is ridiculous, in the best way possible. I hope to get these on paper in one form or another.

Lately, I've been frustrated with a lot of things.

I'm frustrated that I missed my first homework assignment in math, because I went on the math website too late. I'm frustrated that I can never get to my ISS class on time. Tuesday, I woke up at 6 AM, was at the bus stop at 7:30, got on the bus...then, the driver told me it was full, so I got off. I got on the second bus, but this one got me to class late! I hate it! I'm also frustrated that I get halls and times all mixed up. I ended up in the wrong hall at the right time and in the right hall at the wrong time. Neither situation is good. Missing class for stupid reasons just plain pisses me off.

I'm also frustrated at the fact that I am all out of paper. I have neither copy paper nor lined paper. I'm taking notes on the back of used papers and in margins, now. The fact that my mind is full of ideas of things to draw and write really complicates things. I have to do them all on the computer. I could buy paper, but I seriously have no money. I now know how it feels to not have money. It sucks. Actually, in all honesty, I do have money, but I can't access it. Same diff.

While this seems petty in comparison to missing class and running out of school supplies, the fact that I can't get the SciFi channel up here, but I get three effin' MTVs pisses me off to no end! I want to see Animonday and Who Wants to Be a Superhero and Mind Control and reruns of Heroes and the X-Files! ...MTV really isn't even that good. I mean, one's more than enough, but I get three. THREE!!!

I got lost in corn. I hate corn!

I'm also excited and hyped up about quite a few things, which is good.

I really like Rozen Maiden and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Strikers, so far, and Bleach and Naruto Shippuden are still great. .hack//G.U. Redemption is coming out too! I am so hyped up about .hack//G.U. Redemption's release! I want it soo much! *rolls around on the ground* *squee* Oh, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl too! I want!

While it is bad that I have no paper to write or draw them on, I do like that I actually have ideas. I'll have to update my idea dump, so I won't forget them.

I'm also supposed to be sent some paper. If it gets here today, then that'd be awesome on so many levels!

Ooh, and I might get a dorm room all too myself! Yay!

I got back from holiday. I just came from ISS 201. I'm in the library, now. I'm working on applying for as many jobs as possible. I want a job! I need money for stuff.

Things have been uneventful, so far, which I'm all for. I have a women in engineering thing to go to tonight. I definitely plan to go since my adviser is going to be there. I want to make a point to be wherever she is. Wherever you go, I will follow you... XD

My friend lent me the book The Freedom Writers Diary and it's actually very good! The movie looked to much like Dangerous Minds, but the book's giving me a different impression.

Not much is going on in the art scene. I'm still drawing stuff for my mini-shop on Gaia and that's it.

College isn't too bad, so far.

My classes have already started. Mondays and Wednesdays, I have WRA 195H and MTH 1825 in the evenings. WRA 195H is an honor's class, while MTH 1825 is, like, remedial. WRA 195H is right in the complex I live in, so I don't have to worry about being late, and the other class is 10-15 minutes away and I was early the first time I went, so I don't worry too much about getting to class on time. Tuesdays and Thursdays, I have ISS 210 in the mornings and math tutoring later on in the day. I have UGS 101 Tuesday too. The ISS 210 professor is really crazy! I like him, so far. My math tutor seems nice. That makes me happy. If I had to spend a lot of time with someone I couldn't stand, that'd be just awful! UGS 101 is in the auditorium. It's really hard to find the class. ...oy.

I went to the library two days ago to get a book for WRA 195H. I love nice, quiet spaces and I love to read, so, of course, I love libraries, but this library was one of the scariest places I've ever been. Ever. It was full of sky high bookcases, narrow hallways, and tape you had to follow, so that you wouldn't get lost. I kept telling myself it was just a library, but I was so creeped out, I just got out of that place as soon as I could. Yesterday, I just went and asked a librarian for the book. It has to be ordered, so it won't be there until, like, tomorrow.

My brother, , says the food here is bad, but I disagree. I haven't had a bad meal, yet. I like the presidential chicken.

Speaking of my brother, he also goes to this college. He's a nice person to have around. He has been very helpful. I went over to where he was staying a few days ago. He's staying with his friend. His friend's also nice. She let me play her Pokemon Pearl. It's fun. I really want Pokemon Diamond now!

Speaking of Pokemon, that Gamefreak event is giving me goosebumps. I sooo want the Sugimori Psyduck! He's one of my art idols, after all. The event ends the 30th, though. I don't think I'll have a DS and Pokemon Diamond by then. I could tell my brother's friend about it and maybe she'll get one? IDK.

I haven't drawn much at all. When I do, it's just stuff for my shop, Kawaii Co., on Gaia. Maybe that'll change when I get more free time or go on vacation.

The title seems kind of random, but I've walked so much today that my feet really feel that way. I needed an ID to get a bus pass, but to get an ID, I needed to take the bus, which I couldn't do, so I had walk all the way the ID place and all the way back to the bus place! Oh, my feet... (>-<

I'm at college now. I moved into my dorm, yesterday, and things have been very, very eventful. Not much is going on now, though, I am thinking of seeing that author of that book I'm reading now.

I finally got my tutor and I'll be seeing him the 28th. I've got to get better at doing math. It's hard to engineer with crappy math skills. Or, at least, that's what I've been told.

I'm very happy that the computer labs have laser mice. That means I can draw. I can draw with anything, really, but laser mice are better than balls and that one ergonomically correct thing my dad had me using. I saved all of my stuff from my home computer and my bro's supposed to be giving me his old laptop, but he says he wants the fridge I'm using. I don't want to give it to him. It has a freezer. I like ice.

I might be going to Meijer tonight. Buy stuff and all of that good stuff.

I haven't updated my journal in months. So much has happened since May, yet not much has happened at all. It seems like all I ever do, nowadays, is work. I've been drawing all day and tomorrow morning, I go to the doctor to get a physical. ...oy. I'm planning my open house for Saturday too. Um, a break down...

Vacation___
I'm on summer vacation. Graduation went well. I got my test scores back during the summer. I have a 5 on my AP Psychology test. I have a 28 on my ACT. I have 1500-1700-ish on my SAT. Math isn't my strongsuit. It really isn't.

College___
I got accepted to college. My older brother, , said if I get into college, he'd buy me a Nintendo DS. Getting into college is its own reward, but hey, a Nintendo DS isn't shabby either . He said if I go to MSU, then he'd buy me Pokemon Diamond, which also isn't shabby. If I get the full-ride scholarship to WSU, then I am definitely going there, though.

Anyway, I went to MSU's orientation. As of now, I'm a computer science major. This is something I didn't know beforehand, but there, I found out that game design is a elective for CSE majors at the bachelor level. I want to take that class so much! Like SRSLY! I got my schedule at orientation. I have four classes. I have classes five days a week.

1. Introduct Animal Agriculture
2. Intermediate Algebra (Tested into this. IIRC, it's remedial. (TT_TT))
3. Freshman Seminar (CAAP requirement.)
4. Writing: Major Top Amer Thght (Tested into this. It's an honors class. (^_^))

That's it.

Projects___
I currently have three projects that I'm working on just for me.

1. Novel. HOLLA!
2. Novella. Adventures in Environmental Engineering.
3. Comic. Lilia Triumviri.

I never realized how difficult comic making was before this.

I'm also working on my fanlisting collective, Wally/Mitsuru fanlisting, and art I owe people.

Books___
My jar of coins was full, so I took it to Coinstar and got a $50 Amazon.com giftcard and used it to buy the first two .hack//Another Birth books and some volumes of DNAngel. I really like Another Birth. I especially like how it explained how BlackRose got her name. I look forward to reading the other two books. DNAngel is still great. Now if only a certain mangaka would finish it... (>_> Don't go CLAMP on me. Do you know why I own so few CLAMP manga? I only buy the ones with endings or that are still going. Heheheheh, I'm rambling. XD

There was a sale at Waldenbooks, so I bought Spook. I already finished reading it. It was so good. A real page turner. Eh, I'm a sucker for non-fiction.

I got a summer reading book from MSU, Lay That Trumpet in Our Hands. So far, it isn't extraordinarily good or bad. I'm just glad it isn't Rand or Morrison. I read two Rand, three Morrison and they were all the worst books I've ever read. However, while I'd recommend Morrison - she's great at description, keeping it (sur-)real, and the way she plays with language amuses me, not to mention her books are only a few hundred pages long - I wouldn't Rand. Rand takes about a 1,000 pages to say or not say what she's trying to say. What is she trying to say? I reread parts of the Fountainhead and I still can't tell what it is. I see self-parody, but others tell me it's really deep and stuff, but I'm not seeing it. Some guy gets kicked out a school, starts his own thing, ghosts for a guy, blows up the building he ghosted, because the guy messed up the deal, and doesn't go to prison for it. At least Morrison can write great beginnings and endings. Rand can't do either or even middles. I can't believe I finished those books months ago and I still can't get over how bad they are!

Movies___
I saw the Fantastic Four. Not bad. It amused me. I also saw Sicko. It was good! I want the DVD. I want to see Transformers. People keep telling me it's good. I like Ratrap (I know that's Beast Wars, but dangnammit, it still counts!) and Bumblebee.

Games___
I finally beat the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I want to play the Wind Waker, now, but I can't find it. Once I beat WW, I'll play the Twilight Princess...for the Wii!

Wii___

Bon Cinq de Mai!

These last few days have been rough on me.

Wednesday, I had to go to a viewing. I've seen dead bodies before, but this was my first time seeing one of a human that I kind of knew. When I first saw it, I was, like, hey, look it's some guy. Then, I was, like, hey, I think that guy's dead. After that, I was all, like, dude, that guy is dead! THAT GUY IS DEAD, MAN!!! It really freaked me out. I felt so strange inside. I was sad, but I felt another way too. I wouldn't describe that feeling as disgust, but I just felt so weird! Anyway, it was a really beautiful viewing. There were a lot of sad times, but there were happy times too. I went inside, at first, but after seeing the dead body and all, I spent most of my time outside. I didn't cry at the viewing, but when I got back home, I did. The whole thing just reminded me of how much I love my daddy and how sad I'd be if he weren't around.

Thursday, was the funeral and burial. There wasn't a dry eye then. There were geese and goslings at the graveyard and the goslings were so, so cute! Aw! The wake was after that. It was an awesome wake. There were some sad times and some happy times. I ate so much! I don't remember ever eating that much! I ate too many sweets. My GI tract didn't like that. ...oy.

Friday, I went back to school. I had to take a test in AP Psychology. It was the last test of the year. It was on abnormal psychology and treatments for it. I studied, so I think I did well. The actual AP tests are two weeks from now. I'm so nervous about it! We're taking a practice one next week and the teacher said she might order some food for us. That makes me happy.

Today, I had to take the SAT. I think I did better on the essay and math parts today. Last time, I was only to do an intro, one paragraph of the middle, and a conclusion, but this time, I did everything, but the conclusion. With math, my math skills got better and I was able to finish more of the problems than before. After I took the ACT, my parents went to Starbucks. I got a Mocha Frappuccino - I hate coffee, but those are good. Then, we ate out at the Dragon Buffet. I was in the mood for Chinese, so I was happy. They took me out shoe-shopping after that. I was able to get two good pairs of shoes, so that's good.

Next to this strip mall we went to, there was this field with geese, pigeons, and squirrels. My mom and I went there. Someone had been feeding the animals grapefruit and papayas. They were neatly cut up and all. The whole thing looked amazing! Here I am in this really urban place and all of a sudden, there's this field with these animals and all. Seeing it made me feel so happy.

Schooldays

School has been working me like a dog. I missed school Friday, because I fell asleep while doing math homework. I felt so guilty about it, but I can't dwell on it.

I'm finally working on the final draft of the first volume of the Pokemon fan comic, Shine On Shooting Star, as well as another comic, La Patisserie, for my school's anime club.

I got accepted to two colleges. I'm really happy about that. I went to something for one of the colleges, today. It was boring as heck and my left heel got all chafed, but I'm alright.

In other news, I can't believe Pokemon Diamond and Pearl are already out! I want!

Pokemon Doujinshi Project

I am working on a Pokemon fan comic with an ongoing storyline slightly inspired by the Pokemon games, especially Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, and the anime. It was originally going to be the Team Shock Wave comic, but due to some weirdness, I've decided to rename the whole thing Shine On, Shooting Star!

The comic will still star the members of Team Shock Wave and Team Sarahpom, but I want to try to put some more Pokemon fan characters in it too, hence the journal.

The Fountainhead

My story begins earlier last year when I first discovered that there was going to be an Ayn Rand essay contest on her novel, the Fountainhead. While I am not a fan of Ayn Rand's works - I flipped through Atlas Shrugged at the book store and found it very boring - and while it was a long book, I figured that I needed the money and I love to read and write, so why not?

I finished the book today. I don't regret ever having read it, but I have just one thing to say: This is one boring book. There is no story. There are only characters. There is no climax. It is yaoi without the sexual content.

How am I supposed to write an essay about a story with no story?! (TT_TT)

I'm definitely putting a lot of thought into this. Then again, it's for an essay! I'm so nervous!

Purpose

I get a lot of ideas in my head. More ideas than I have time to pursue at any one time, actually. Because of this, I've decided to write all of my ideas down and come back to them later.

Chances are, I know more about the idea that I write down, but I just write down the general idea, because writing down everything would be too time consuming and chances are, I'd end up getting more ideas while writing the ideas and the idea would just get bigger and bigger to the point where I might as well be writing the story instead of the idea for the story.

If anyone reads this and wants to see one of these ideas finished, then just say so. That gives me incentive. Also, comments and critiques of these ideas are appreciated. Questions are good too.

Idea Dump

Jack of Hearts: Red Rose Rokon. Original comic. Fantasy/Romance/Magical Boy. Rokon, a red fox, becomes the business man, Morimoto Mitsune, who becomes the magical boy, Red Rose Rokon, the Jack of Hearts, to defeat bad spirits that have broken into the mortal realm.

Game On! Original comic. Fantasy/Romance/Magical Girl. Avery Airdale is just your average school girl. That is, until she watches a horror movie marathon, borrows a good dream charm from her crush, Beekan Nut, and goes to bed, only to find out that she is the Queen of Dreams to be. Now, together with her teachers, Fusion Master Chun To and Bay, she must protect dreams everywhere from those who seek to harm them.

Lilia Triumiviri Original comic. Fantasy/Action/Magical Boy. The title means three of lilies in Latin and refers to the three protagonists, Taye T. Negoro, Kyousuke Yi called Ky, and Leo T. Feliniz, and their club, the Lilia Triumviri. Taye is the calla lily of the Triumviri. Ky is the spider lily of the Triumviri. Leo is the tiger lily and leader of the Triumviri.Taye is your average Baptist 19-year old college student. He drinks, smokes pot, parties, plays video games...and happens to be pursuing a medical career. One day, when he is walking his younger sister, Taylor, to school, he runs into an old friend of his, Ashley D. Drake. She had called him earlier to say that she was coming into town, but they weren't expecting to run into eachother so soon.Apparently, she is busy at the time, because she appears distracted. Taye soon sees why too. A large monster appears in the street and attacks Ashley and him, but they are protected by the man who was with Ashley earlier, Ky, who always refers to her as "my queen." Then, the monster attacks, and runs off with Taylor, which so angers Taye that he runs after it. Ky also goes after the monster, independant of Taye, and manages to defeat it by slicing it in half with an offensive light attack. Afterwards, Ky returns Taylor to Taye, who thanks him. She then offers him a job. Taye takes it, no questions asked. Later on, though, it turns out that Ashley is running a demon hunting agency. People with the ability to see and interact with these spirits are needed to hunt them down to prevent innocents from getting hurt. Even though the job seems pretty sleazy to him, Taye stays in it because the pay is so good. Later on, thanks to an incident involving a powerful being during one of their missions, Taye discovers that he is the Ruler of Light incarnate. Now, Taye must balance college and the responsibilities of the Ruler of Light with demon hunting and his everyday life.

Story: Lilies represent purity. Pure beauty. Pure passion. Pure loss. This is the story of three men who walk paths of lilies and run into eachother. Third times the charm, eh? XD

I had a wonderful day today. This Christmas, I only got a few things I specifically asked for - Reservoir Chronicle Tsubasa vol. 11 and some chocolate - but I was very happy with all of the things I got.

I'm wearing the new pajamas, new slippers, and new socks I got today. They all feel so nice and plush! Aaaaaaaah! So good! After this, I'll be having some x-mas cookies with some milk. So good! I'm watching Mythbusters right now. I love that show. The Discovery Channel's having a marathon. Yay!

I'm working on a holiday picture...or two. One will be cute Pokemon fluff, while the other will be of Ky and Tenko. I need to give my OC's more love! Yes!

Creeped Out:

On school days, I wake up at 5AM to get ready for school. My younger sister, , likes to watch the music videos on VH1 or MTV at this time, which isn't too bad. I like music, after all. However, there is just one problem. This one song by John Legend - not Save a Place for Me - keeps getting played and one of his back up singers has a very creepy sounding voice. She sounds like she's in pain. She sounds like Commodore Philip Fluffenpaws after he has had his paw stepped on. It's really creeping me out! It's like something out a horror movie, like, the Grudge/Ju-On! All day today, I had the pained voice of that back up singer in my mind. It's still in my head.

I just had to get that out there.

In better news, there are going to be a lot on on-sites at my school this week, so I get to get out of school a lot. Also, I have been drawing too. I'm still working on a TSW comic. I have a story, so I'm going to try to sketch it out tonight.

The teachers have gone on strike, so I haven't had to go to school, yet. My father has had me doing housework, which isn't much fun, but whatever...

A lot of people seem to getting angry about the strike, but I don't mind. They have been kind of mean to the teachers.

Anyway, right now, I am working on getting scholarships and on registering for the ACT.

The 18th, my daddy said that we were going to see the matinee of Snakes On a Plane tomorrow, so I got up early and got ready. It turned out that I was the only one who wanted to go, so it was just me and my daddy. We got to eat out at this nice place near the theatre for breakfast. I had pancakes and my dad had waffles.

After that, we went straight to the theatre and saw the matinee. I only have this to say - SNAKES ON A PLANE IS AN AWESOME MOVIE! It is true to the title. There were some scientific inaccuracies that irked me, but overall, it was a hilarious, action packed movie that stayed true to the title.

Since my older brother's birthday is coming up - it's September 6th, I think - his friend gave him his present - Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus and the first season on the Boondocks - early on account of him having to go back to college and all. He, being a gamer and all, beat it in two days. Heheheheheh!

He and I stayed awake all day and night yesterday playing that game. He played more than I did, though. He went straight to the game, while I began with the tutorial...

...which brings me to my point. If you're a Vincent fan, like me, then start with the tutorial mode. Why? Because...you get to play as TURK VINCENT! I am a huge Vincent Valentine fan. He is my favorite FF7 character, actually. Strangely enough, my reason for liking him at first was a very selfish. I liked him because his birthday was the same as mine - October 13th! During the game, though, after I found about his history and all, I just liked him even more. I really like his Turk outfit, because let's face it, Turks rule. srsly, dey do. It's probably 'cause I like blue....and brunettes...stick a brunette in blue and yeah...oy... I was running around in circles while playing the game. Is that what fangirling is? If so, then yes, I'm guilty. For shame! At least I got exercise. I didn't even have to do DDR either.

During the game, I just got so silly. Whenever a cutscene would show Turk Vincent, I'd go, "TURK VINCENT!" My brother was all, like, wtf?! Then, he was, like, "Why do you keep saying Turk Vincent?" So, then I was, like, "Because you play as Turk Vincent." So, then he was, like, "Oh, yeah, he was a Turk..." ...oy...

Anyway, it's a really fun game, but it's not an RPG, it's a shooter, like, Max Payne or Red Faction or something. It's so fun to shoot stuff! Yes, yes, yes! It kinda got plothole-y in some parts, though. Overall, though, it is so muchu fun!

Cait Sith is so cute! Yuffie is so awesome. ...and Tifa, and Barret, and Cloud, and Cid, and Shera...oy...and Shalu too. Oh, and Vincent Valentine, no da! One thing I really like is that you finally get to see what Lucrecia looked like. Up on the PSX, I just saw some white thing with black on it. On the PS2, you see brown hair and all of these details and stuff. I want to draw her and Vincent now, because it's so painfully obvious that he liked her. I mean, c'mon, say what you feel! I want to draw FF7 fanart, period. I normally don't do stuff that's so popular, but I want to do it, yes, I do!

Anyway, I have been watching Bleach, Elfen Lied, Kanon, and Pita Ten. I recommend them all, but Kanon and Pita Ten might be too cutesy for most. I finished watching Elfen Lied and I think it's really good. The violence kind of irked me, but it gets so deep. I like the theme song, Lilium, too. My brother keeps on saying that Lilium is some evil song, though. I think he liked the show, but the violence tripped him out too. He was all, like, .

I am working on some drawings for some contests too. I want to do 's, 's, 's, 's, and 's, but I think I bit off more than I can chew. I definitely want to do the last two, though, so I'll do those first and if I finish those with time left over, I'll try doing the others too.

Now, for the reason for the journal! ...or at least the journal title. I am eligible for the Michigan Merit Award! I am so happy and so excited about this! I am supposed to be able to get $2,500, which is all fine and dandy by me.

The whole family, save for my little sister who was feeling a little sick, went out today. First, we went to a dollar store. Then, we went to the Salvation Army. I found a Yu-Gi-Oh! card, The Phantom Thief, just lying around, so I just got a card for free. Yay!

After that, we were just driving around and some stuff happened. My cousin called my brother and said he wanted to do some stuff with him, so we just dropped him off.

Then, we ate out at this new restaurant. It was so good! I had a shish kebab and some quail. For dessert, I had creme brulee. It was suchu great stuff!

After this, we went to Best Buy. In the paper, they said that they were having this sale on software, so I bought Paint Shop Pro X. *squee* I can't wait to install the program and begin playing with it and all.

Then, my daddy took us over his friend's house. He has suchu cool friends. I really over there.

Finally, we got back home at 1 in the morning. My sister made cookies. I'm going to get some cookies and milk right now, heheh!

Oy! Oy! Oy! What happened?! I have sooo many messages. I need to check them.

Anyway, I have been a lot more active on Gaia than I have over here, but I haven't abandoned DA at all. I'm still drawing. Ooh, I opened a Mini-Shop on Gaia. To celebrate the grand opening, I'm giving away free art to the first thirty people that ask. The idea was that I would draw one picture a day, but not too many have posted any requests in there in all. Ooh, yes, this is such blatant advertising, but if anyone who sees this Journal happens to be on Gaia and happens to like free art, then feel free to come my Mini-Shop and ask for some. Yes!

My life hasn't been too eventful, which I guess is for the best. I saw Superman. That movie was actually better than I was expecting to be. Lex Luthor was the best part, in my opinion. Ah, my little sister, , had to go the doctor last week too. She had a hard time. Ooh, she bought an iPod yesterday with her own money!!! It is so cool!!! So cool!!!

I have been watching Bleach and DragonballZ. Trunks is so awesome! He is definitely my favorite animated character ever-er! Hey, has anyone ever noticed that even though Trunks' attacks have names, unlike the rest of the Dragonball cast, he never, ever, ever shouts them out? He just straight does the attack. I think that is so cool and it really adds to his character. I mean, when you look at his story and all, you actually see why he doesn't do that. I mean Future Trunks, of course. I like Future Trunks best. The normal Trunks has attack names that take, like, five minutes to say. Mega Gigantic Space Donuts? WTF?! I sooo want to draw Trunks! I have had eleven - yes, count them, ELEVEN - years to draw him, but everytime I try, I just don't do it. I just think that I won't be able to do the character honor. Has anyone else ever had something like that happen to them? I hope to remedy that soon.

I have been playing Final Fantasy IV recently. It is so much fun! I really like Cid, Edge, and Kain. They have such amusing ways of speaking! I am looking forward to newer games, like Super Smash Bros. Brawl, .hack//G.U., and Xenosaga 3. Until those are out, I'll just play these oldies, but goodies, heheh!

I have no idea if anyone here likes Pokemon, but I do. The new legendaries look so cool! I am sooo going to name them Fenrir, Kylin, and Time Lord! The Square-Enix references buuuurn!

As for art, I'm working on some contest art and some stuff for my Mini-Shop. I'm not doing anything for myself, actually. That is kind of weird. I need to remedy that too. I want to do so much! I want to try to draw more fan comics/doujinshi. I want to revisit some of my older art concepts and update them since I can do so much more now.

Oh, yes, and I'm still writing. This is probably my first attempt at doing something that is not just a short story. It's more of a poorly executed SuWriMo. I want to draw the characters too. Yumi and Miyu look so cute in my head and I want to do a stripey suit like the one Taye wears. I neglect patterns much in my art. Everything is just so simple and solid, which isn't bad, but I really like looking at intricate, patterned things too, y'know?

I am thinking of starting a club for Wally/Mitsuru from Pokemon here on DA too. I already have a fanlisting to him, but I don't see the harm in starting a club here too. I'm not sure how well-received it'd be, though.

Anyway, I had to go to the orthopedist today. I got x-rayed and all and the doctor said that I had to come in later for an MRI. When we got the referral, no one could tell what body part the doctor wrote down. Yosh! His handwriting was so bad. Finally, they just told us to say calf. Later on, my mom went to do the referral and set up the appointment and all, but the people there had no idea what the thing said. She said it meant calf, but they said that wasn't specific enough, so they started pulling out charts and textbooks and tried to find a match...they didn't. This is just hilarious! Finally, they just decided to call the doctor, but the doctor went out to lunch. Too funny! In the end, they just let my mom go and went to call the doctor later.

Today was my sister's, , first day of work too. She said it was okay and she actually got let off early. That's good!

We went grocery shopping too and I went out for breakfast and lunch. I finally got to have those chicken fries at Burger King. They are sooo good! I went to Starbucks too and had a Double Chocolate Frappuccino, which was also very good. I hate coffee, but that's actually good, but I think it's because of the chocolate. I went to the park after that. The bugs kept on screwing with me and my dad. I had to toss the Frappuccino out, because a bug went on it. Ew!

Bleh, this kinda sucks, because the doctor told me to stay off my feet and to ice my leg three times a day. I can't move around too much anymore. It doesn't mess with my computer time at all, but I think much better when I'm moving around, so yeah.

Yesterday, I got a lot of homework. I have homework in French, Journalism, Chemistry, Algebra, and Art. For French and Algebra, I have a lot of late work, because I was absent a few days, because I was sick. For Journalism, I have to do two business letters, apply for interships, and finish up an article. For Chemistry, I have bookwork and a worksheet to do. For Art, I have to finish a self-portrait and finish doing skin tones.

After school, I had to go to an ACT Prep class. I already took the ACT, so I really don't want to go to this, and it shows. Anyway, I normally take the bus home, and today was no different. I take two buses home, so I just took one today, and walked the rest of the way. My mom kept on thinking I was going slow on purpose, but with this backpack, that's really just how quickly I can move...it's a miracle I can even catch this darn buses...

Anyway, when I got to the ACT Prep class, I was 15 min. late. The teacher chewed me over about that. I kept on answering his questions really stupidly, like I said class started at 3:30, but it actually starts at 4:30. Then, we had to turn in the homework, so I did. The teacher asked why I only did one side and I said it was because I only looked one side... Things really didn't get any better from there. Well, I did do better now than my first time, even though I did all of the questions my first time...

After class, my dad picked me up. I was really grateful! My younger sister was with him too. We ate out at a Mexican restaurant. I had chicken enchiladas. They were really good! I even had leftovers. I might eat those for lunch today.

Today, I have to go to the Gala to celebrate our school auditorium's grand opening. Remember what I said about my school not being 100% finished? Well, they just now finished the auditorium. Anyway, I am acting as a tour guide and then, I am supposed to be reciting poetry with the Poetry Club. The whole thing is 5 hr. long, so I'll probably be really worn out by the end of it.

Hooboy, this is going to be exciting! Oy!

EDIT: I got all dressed up for the Gala. I didn't get to perform - out part got cut - but I still managed to have a great time. Anyway, I was a tour guide for the third floor, but no one wanted to go all of the way to the third floor, so I was just taking my mom on tour. She said I did a good job, so that's really good. I'm just really worn out now. I just want to sit back and relax...kyu...

I have to go to ACT review classes today. They're boring as Hell! The teacher not only lectures, but he lectures poorly and the typos on the handouts and screen are beginning to grate on me...

I used two glazes on my pot - Dragon White and Peipenberg Patina. The first glaze looked brown, while the second one looked green. The pot I made split into two while it dried, but that was okay. The top was just fine too. Since I didn't finish first, my piece had to go into the second batch for firing, which was actually pretty fortunate . Caitlan used this glaze called Cranberry. Since she finished early, hers was in the first batch. Anyway, the glaze exploded and fused everyone's piece in the first batch into one giant piece! It was kind of cool, but a lot of people were pissed. Jason, the millwright, got them to get molten a bit, so they could be seperated, so that was good. Caitlan looked kind of sad, though. Jason and MJ both said they never saw a raku react like that.

My piece came out really great aesthetically, but in the firing, it split, then people dropped it, so it broke some more. :sweatdrop: Anyway, it a white pot with a green top, yes.

Anyway, later on, the teacher, MJ, found out that the Cranberry glaze was just weird like that. People liked the glazes that Tremell (sp?) and Johnathan made. I liked Tremell's too. It made stuff look like terra cotta. People liked the Dragon White glaze too, so the teacher was thinking of putting that into the Educational Studio, and getting rid of the Cranberry.

Well, I had a good day. A really good day, but it was really eventful too.

Ah, right now, I am really into Pucca: Funny Love and Naruto. I keep on drawing fanart, writing fanfiction, rewatching episodes, looked at fanart, and such for them both!

I take the ACT Tuesday, so I'll be very busy with that . I just got a new calculator, though, so that'll help tons. The calculator also comes with a free 60 day trial of math help. Since math is a huge weakness of mine, that would help immensely. Oh, I hope I do well!

I finally found my headphones too! They were in my drawer this entire time. Now, I can listen to music and stuff. I've been listening to the Hamtaro OP on the radio. It's so disturbingly happy, like something you'd expect to hear at a teen rave. In fact, I'm tempted to get it and take it to one of these raves, saying, "Hey, man, dis is da shiznat. You can shake yo booty to dis like no odda!" They have Spongebob and Dora the Explorer, so might as well.
