I'll start rewatching people sometime next week (holyshit... got 160+ peeps to do) Sorry for the inconvenience. But on a lighter note: I'm seriously coming back to the internet next week, after my relativeperson's wedding is done and over. I've got about 4 pieces I'm working on all at once and I think they'll be done soon~

And just curious... how many people do you guys watch and why?

Haven't had a lot of time for the internet/DA, been expirementing with photoshop and painter instead and doing some studies. Right now I'm planning to apply to an art college and I'm currently building up a new portolio from scratch.

Been feeling sort of down lately with my art. My colouring skills are making a lot of progress, but my sketching/anatomy/lineart/composition is in one hell of a slump thanks to a super weak foundation.

Argh I say, argh.

First off... I've got terrible English. Bite me.
Secondly... Im starting to draw real noses... or stuff that resembles them at least. Hurrah. It's one step closer to a new style.
And one step closer to considering myself an artist.

Mind you, I'm not saying that anime's not art. But rather... it's not my art, it's a rather generic style that I've fallen into since grade 6. (I honestly weep for my unsteady... anatomically incorrect foundation) Been drawing a lot of realism at home lately... and it's starting to trickle a little into my anime style.

My main goal right now is to go realistic-cartoonish. + studying the facial structures of people from different parts of the world
+ sketching is a little cleaner and more defined, cutting back on unecessary strokes
+ stopped being egotistical and started using the eraser more often
+ hands are improving a little
+ mirroring images more often to check on balance
+ clothing looks more solid and wrinkles are improving
+ working faster in general

Cons of the Moment
- faces do not have enough depth
- sometimes the further eye is too high or too tilted. Arg.
- extremely little variation when it comes to drawing faces (damn you anime influence Dx)
- sense of shadow and light when colouring is a little weak
- drawing FAR too many people facing the right at 3/4
- chin is STILL drawn too low on the circle when building up, must break 3 year old habit
- weak/stiff poses
- not enough strength and movement in hands
- weak torso muscles
- haven't been practicing in painter lately
- need to pay more attention to what I'm drawing in general

As usual, this isn't a pity entry. - the cross guidelines are occasionally missplaced
- anatomy needs a LOT of work (damnit I want to my lifedrawing classes back)

- sketches are too messy, must put thought into every stroke and must refrain from putting in unecessary ones
- eraser use sucks
- HANDS D:
- not enough strength and movement in hands
- sideviews
- noses
- male torsos
- male and female legs, knees, feet
- too uncertian when drawing hair, should draw with more confidence and have a clear mental picture of what it should look like
- eyes are getting too flippin big
- EARS. Need to draw two dozen so I don't have to use googleimages to look for a reference D:<
- need to pay more attention to what I'm drawing in general
