I am the type of person who adores reading and writing, but recently, my life has been full of stupid TV (except for How I Met Your Mother and Glee :]) and me just sitting around, doing nothing. I couldn't even get into a book! But today I started reading "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption" by Stephen King. (If you haven't seen the movie adaption, rent it now- it's amazing, not scary at all. It's actually one of my favorites.) And I re-discovered the joy of it and I feel like myself again.

Last night at 7:29pm Alaska time, my second little brother was born. His name is Ty and he's effing adorable. He's got the whole baby fat cheeks, the tiny little hands that try to hold on tight but barely manage to get around your fingers, the exhausted yawns, being wrapped in a blanket like a baby burrito, the sleepy blue eyes, the baldness, etc.
I didn't meet my other little brother until he was about a day old; I got to meet Ty when he was two hours old. Oh yeah, Hayden, what now?! Yeah, it's 4 in the morning, gimme a break.

Me and my dad were breaking him in already, singing Beatles songs instead of "Rockabye Baby." Worst lullaby EVER.


Since I'm unfortunately unfortunate enough to not be able to afford a subscription or whatever to dA, I cannot do polls all fancy like. BUT I CAN DO THEM THIS WAY.

2) Muse also kicks ass live (but we already knew that). They were pretty damn great, not gunna lie. I am so buying their album today- The Resistance. Or tomorrow. Whenever I have time. And money. Money is a given.
3) Lady Gaga= WTF. Did you see her outfits? I mean, wow. Where do you come up with that shit?

Tomorrow is gonna be exciting for me because I am going to a meeting for Studying Abroad. I plan to go next year to Europe, most likely the UK or Italy. Maybe Germany. I hope it all works, because that would be fucking awesome.

Yeah, I'm bored, if you haven't guessed. And I've still got an hour to spare before Theatre. FUCK.

But I'm a teensy bit disappointed in one thing: my English class isn't my favorite class, Theatre is. That's a problem... since I'm an English major... oh well. I think that it's kinda due to the teacher, she hasn't been very organized so far, which she admitted, haha.
And I am so proud of myself! I haven't been slacking with my math work, I completed it two and a half days early and my lowest grade was a 92%! Heck yes! Haha, I just hope I can still keep that up once we go on to harder topics.
One thing that is totally different about college is how I am surrounded by strangers constantly. Yeah, I know, go and talk to them, make friends, but it takes me a little while to let myself open up, especially in a new environment. I'm pretty sure though that since it's only my second week here, I have plenty of time to open up and meet new people. Hell, I've still got about 4 years left to do that.
As for my current friends, we hopefully are planning to do a little D'n'D tonight after my last class (which ends at 5:15) at my house. Yay fun!
My poor kitty might have kidney disease. D: Nothing for sure as of yet. She's got a healthy heart though.

If you actually read all of this, kudos to you. I was just letting out some of my thoughts. And now to wait another hour and a half for my theatre class. Perhaps I'll go get some food. Or maybe I'll start that play I should be writing. I dunno! xD

Green Day was... phenomenal. They went all out: water guns, toilet paper guns, t-shirt guns, confetti, fire, pyrotechnics, video backgrounds and visuals... It was insane. I was almost right next to the security wall thing at the right side of the end of the catwalk... I was literally ten feet or less from Billie, Mike and Jason Freese when they came down. I was so close to touching their hands, too.
It was pretty much nonstop music. From 9:10 to about 11:40, Green Day never stopped. Billie was insane- he was making us move the entire time. If we weren't singing, we were jumping up and down. If we weren't jumping up and down, we were pumping our fists in the air. If we weren't doing that, we were doing "ole"'s and "heyyyyy ooooooooohhhhhh"'s and chanting "1,2,1,2,3,4!"
They are amazing live; pretty much an exact replica of the studio albums. They played everything from "Song of the Century" to "Jaded" to "Iron Man" to "Going to Pasalacqua" to "She" to "Hitchin' a Ride" to "Minority" to "Jesus of Suburbia". And soooo many more in between, it's hard to remember them all. I honestly had one of the best nights of my LIFE and would go see them live again, anywhere, in a heartbeat.
If you haven't gone yet, DO IT AS SOON AS YOU CAN. Trust me, it's worth it.

Oh, and I also bought $160 worth of merchandise... a sweater ($85), gloves ($25), a poster($10), and a shirt ($40).

1. I am currently living in a house that has 30 + cats. No joke.

5. My friend told me in 8th grade that she had a Hawaiian brother-in-law and it confused me; I said "I didn't know you were Hawaiian..." because I thought she meant her Hawaiian brother was studying law.
6. I'm about 5'8" and have a hollow leg. Figuratively.
7. I liked the movie American Psycho. Does this mean I'm a little disturbed? I finished it and immediately wanted to see it again.
8. My grandma frequently calls me "JuleMareSare", a combination of my aunt's (Julie), my mother's (Mari), and my own (Sarah) name. She did it on accident once and does it to bug me now.

Read this book! "By Darkness Hid" by Jill Williamson. She's the older sister of a friend of mine and it's actually pretty good. Fantasy, maybe, but it's still good. Plus, she grew up in rural Alaska (like me!), so that makes it even more awesome.

It's a silver band with a semi-diamond shaped stone in the middle. The stone is peridot. I know that it's not my birthstone, but my birthstone (topaz) is so fugly. At least, the topaz the website has is fugly.
Plus the peridot is a pale green, which is quite a lovely color. I'm very happy with it.

On either side of the peridot is my first then middle name.
I'm going to have the phrase "I beg to dream and differ..." engraved on the inside of the ring.

Totally pathetic, right? Who cares!
