Thousands of Downtown DC Protesters Blast Obama
By NAFEESA SYEED, Associated Press Writer – 21 mins ago

WASHINGTON – Tens of thousands of protesters fed up with government spending marched to the U.S. Capitol on Saturday, showing their disdain for the president's health care plan with slogans such as "Obamacare makes me sick" and "I'm not your ATM."
The line of protesters clogged several blocks near the Capitol, according to the D.C. Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency. Demonstrators chanted "enough, enough" and "We the People." Others yelled "You lie, you lie!" and "Pelosi has to go," referring to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.
Throngs of people waved U.S. flags and held signs reading "Go Green Recycle Congress" and "Obama Bin Lyin.'" Men wore colonial costumes as they listened to speakers who warned of "judgment day" — Election Day 2010.
Other signs — reflecting the growing intensity of the health care debate — depicted President Barack Obama with the signature mustache of Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler. Many referred to Obama as a socialist or communist, and another imposed his face on that of the villainous Joker from "Batman."
Richard Brigle, 57, a Vietnam War veteran and former Teamster, came from Paw Paw, Mich. He said health care needs to be reformed — but not according to Obama's plan.
"My grandkids are going to be paying for this. It's going to cost too much money that we don't have," he said while marching, bracing himself with a wooden cane as he walked.
FreedomWorks Foundation, a conservative organization led by former House Majority Leader Dick Armey, organized several groups from across the country for what they billed as a "March on Washington."
Organizers say they built on momentum from the April "tea party" demonstrations held nationwide to protest tax policies, along with growing resentment over the economic stimulus packages and bank bailouts.
Armey and other speakers directed their ire at Pelosi — Armey took a photo, telling the crowd he wanted to be able to prove to her they were there.
"If it's necessary, we'll come back here next year," he said.
Many protesters said they paid their own way to the event — an ethic they believe should be applied to the government. They say unchecked spending on things like a government-run health insurance option could increase inflation and lead to economic ruin.
Terri Hall, 45, of Starke, Fla., said she felt compelled to become political for the first time this year because she was upset by government spending.
"Our government has lost sight of the powers they were granted," she said. She added that deficit spending is out of control, and said she thought it was putting the country at risk.
Race also became an issue when a black Republican leader denounced African-American politicians that she said had an "affinity" for socialism.
"I'm outraged prominent black politicians use the race card" to cover up their failed policies, said Deneen Borelli of New York.
One woman held a sign with images of Martin Luther King Jr. and Obama, with the words printed alongside: "He had a dream, we got a nightmare."
Lawmakers also supported the rally. Rep. Mike Pence, chairman of the House Republican Conference, said Americans want health care reform but they don't want a government takeover.
"Republicans, Democrats and independents are stepping up and demanding we put our fiscal house in order," Pence, of Indiana, told The Associated Press.
"I think the overriding message after years of borrowing, spending and bailouts is enough is enough," Pence said.
Rep. Tom Price, R-Ga., and Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., also spoke at the rally.
Other sponsors of the event include the Heartland Institute, Americans for Tax Reform and the Ayn Rand Center for Individuals Rights.
Connie Castleton, 52, of Irving, Texas, said she drove 20 hours from her home to attend the rally. The nurse said she's motivated to try and get others involved in opposing Obama's health care plan.
"There's a lot more people mad about what's going on than I thought," she said.
Several protesters said they represented a "silent majority" or referred to themselves as "community organizers" — a phrase often associated with the president.
"This isn't some right-wing conservative agenda," said 30-year-old Adam Moore of Rochester, Mich. "This is a true grass-roots movement."
Erica Coyle, who's in her 50s and is from Louisville, Ky., said problems began before Obama took office, but she said the situation has worsened and people are "finally waking up."
"This is his Waterloo," Coyle said of Obama.

--

Why is it our nation is only seems alive when it is fighting itself?
Anyway, its kinda exciting, no matter what side you're on...

--

An Analogy of healthcare by Mr. Rush Limbaugh that was on his website at Rushlimbaugh.com

RUSH: Let me come up with an analogy here to explain health care. I have some friends who think that you still don't get it, and they say, "You gotta keep hammering this, Rush. People still don't get what this health care is." I firmly believe that all of you do get it, and I think more and more Americans are getting it, as to what is actually going down with Obama health care. But let's substitute food for health care in this analogy. Let's say that people think food is too expensive. And of course food is a right, too! I mean, food, you can't go without food. That's why markups in grocery stores on food items are actually 1% overall. That's why grocery stores sell all the other stuff: the magazines, the razor blades and all this stuff for the markups much higher, but people have to eat, and it's thus priced the way it is.

But let's say people thought price of food was too expensive and Obama came along and said, "You know what? ObamaFood can drive down the cost of your spending on food. We're going to have to an ObamaFood plan to help you with the high cost of food; make sure you get what you want, when you want it and that there's no discrimination. Nobody's going to eat better than you do and you're going to eat no better than anybody else." So the Obama administration says they can dramatically cut the cost of food. How are they going to do it? Well, if they wanted to take on the cost of food in the same way they're taking on health care, they would say that they're going to drive down the profits of the greedy farmers, and they're going to drive down and squeeze the profits of the greedy shipping industry, and then they're going to attack the food stores, the grocery stores that sell at too large a profit.

Speaker Pelosi would not call food stores, grocery stores, the shipping industry and farmers greedy. She would call them immoral! And to keep 'em all honest, to keep 'em all honest Obama then would create competition, real competition with a public option for you to buy food from. Food co-ops! Imagine if the government was in the business of distributing and getting to you food at an affordable price. And when the rational among us say, "It's impossible to do this. The idea we'll destroy the best food delivery system in the world," the people that say that then are criticized, mocked and vilified. There's nothing wrong with the American food delivery system. There's nothing wrong with the price. People get what they want. In fact, the food stamp program. Look at the obesity problem. And they would say, "The attacks on the ObamaFood program are racist," and so forth. So here we are. We have a totally flawed plan that's obviously a mess, still being treated as "reform." Just imagine the government taking over anything else in your life: food or whatever, on the same basis they're doing it now. If you are still confused, that might help you out.

--

Take it in your own way; I just wanted to share it with you guys.

--

I won't stand for letting a politician tell the VOLUNTEER STATE what volunteering is.

--

Art has always been used in politics; it called PROPAGANDA!
Take Part if you want.
imagine the audience you can receive on DeviantArt alone?

-

Rockafeller Plaza door on frame there's a man with a hammer; and one with a sickle. The Worker and the Farmer. The Hammer and the Sickle. Um. Hey Hetalia fans? What's on Socialist/Communist Russia's flag? A HAMMER AND A SICKLE.

I'm still on a Hetalia binge. It's hard to say why, I didn't think I'd be so into it as I am? xD
Maybe it was Italy hiding in a box of tomatos pretending to be a tomato box faerie that got my attention... xD
It's definitely one of those series where you have to be able to laugh at yourself; all the nations are represented VERY stereotypically.

My favorites keep changing, too, right now, it's South Italy; for some reason I really relate to him
I know what it feels like, to say the least.
You see, on top of Inferiorty Complex, South Italy has Opposition-Defiant Disorder.

Inferiorty Complex is bad enough, these people don't like criticism, mostly because they are generally aware of their own short comings, even if the criticism is as gentle or constructive as possible is seen as a personal attack; even though I personally have gotten better at it, its much worse when you realize that a lot of times these people rationalize it, I used to say: 'Well my work is like my baby, if you criticize it of course it feels like your trying to attack me.' and I thought it was ok to feel that way, it really isn't; Then they're Hypercritical (note, this is also a negative trait found in Virgo, which I am) Sometimes they go looking for faults in other people just so they can feel just a little bit better about themselves, or something like that. There's a whole list of things attributed to these guys.

but then, when I was researching one of my own mental problems, AD(H)D, I discovered Opposition Defiant Disorder. In the fandom, South Italy just has Inferiority Complex, but after reading about ODD, I think that's what he has more of.
[link]

Or a combination of both.

I don't have Oppositional Defiant Disorder (that I can tell), but I think that I definitely had the other one at one point.

Off that~

I have a sketch done of the small comic strip/ page thing for The Red Monarch that Saiyan asked me to do.
DC style isn't easy. (@#$%ing rectangle/box characters)
and~ I'm sure theres something else I need to do, but can't think of right now.

*Warning, you may feel a little awkward after reading*
I don't understand!! Dx Suddenly I'm getting noticed significantly more then I ever did in high school by the opposite sex, and it's scarier then Russia himself!
Let me explain, a few weeks ago I was wearing my Visual Decorum stuff and went to the grocery store, mindin' my own business buyin' necessaries, and Haagen Dasz~ and suddenly this guy who looked older then me tried to pick me up, get my number- stuff like that, and when I tried to politely turn him down and then he said "At least let me give you some money," and that scared the fuck out of me (pardon my dirty language) I think he thought I was a whore! Dx That was my immediate translation anyway
Nothing about the Visual Decorum outfit is overtly revealing, in fact it's more modest then you'd think! A real whore would wear less clothing then VisuDeco-chan!! A lot less!!!
It's scarier in the sense that you have to put yourself in my shoes, 172 cm white girl who grew up mostly in the suburbs, (Though where I lived in the Atlanta suburbs wasn't much different then being downtown), who just started living in Memphis one of the highest crime rates in the American nation, which according to a New Yorker, seems to PWN NY in crime and has to walk home from the grocery store, and consider I don't think I'd have much of a chance against a man in a fight (I barely weigh 119 lbs most of the time; the average man weighs about 200-300 lbs sometimes less I guess)
and more recently~ like just a few moments ago on my why back to MCA from my dorm, another guy tried to pick me up, but the kicker is I was wearing NORMAL clothes!! Dx
Shorts and a red t-shirt with flip flops, and I had my glasses on *I don't like how I look with my glasses on!* and plus I have really bad acne(? they looks more like scars) today!! Dx
In all, no reason for any random guy to approach me!!! but at least he was nice, not that the other guy wasn't~ He just came on really friendly (Asked me if I'd like to go to the zoo with him~) and I remember his name, too
but these aren't the first instances~ It seems like it's been happening sense Halloween '08!!
KOWAII YO!!! :'(
Soooo scary!!
(and yet, ego boosting? xD)

(SAVERS/ DATA SQUAD!)

Anyway, I got to hang out for an hour with Wolfwood (Trigun) or his actor anyway, Jeff Nimoy, (but there was a Wolfwood cosplayer there, as well as Vash) and Colleen O'Shaunnassey was there too, and George--I mean Sonny Strait was there as well. (It was the counter to NeoClassicism and the Enlightenment period in history)
I'm decent at that part, what with being inclined toward the darker half of entertainment sense childhood (Xena, Hercules, Beetlejuice, Gargoyles, Batman, Count Cain Saga/GodChild)

I still need to look up mystery and other genre

But please, FEED BACK on my stories, they won't get better without it.

I've been feeling better lately, I don't know why... though I suppose it could be that I'm trying to make more of an attempt to stay in contact with my close friends; who knew talking to you guys made me feel okay? (Okay, I admit it...I sorta did)
AND I got permission from teh Gobet to draw SpyterPumpkinLegs

That being said...

The Red Monarch is on hold right now, not that I'm not working on it, or haven't had any ideas, I've had a quite a few.

I want to establish solid past right now. This means I'll be working on Via Purifico for a little while, I actually have 2 maybe 3 different versions (I've been using Via Purifico as my narrative essay for Avis' class, and thus a few things were adjusted, and he's been helpful with some of my writing mistakes, so it's virtually that version is probably better).

In Addition, I've been thinking about going back and editing chapters of The Red Monarch, it really needs it. (It could help me make some decisions for the newest chapter, too.) I may add things and take things out...

I've also been thinking about changing the title, too...

lol, suddenly, I remembered originally, when I started Monarch, Martin and the gang weren't going to find out Tatsuki was a girl till the end of the story, but I thought it'd be a bit difficult for me (at the time) and had them find out at the end of the first chapter, instead.

ANYWAY

I'll probably post Via Purifico here first, cause it comes off as more of an original story even though I'm still using MM characters in it.
I'm not sure when that will be, since I have a lot done on the different versions, well, at least two of them, (the third is the shortest), and I want to include some things in all versions. (Also other outside plot points)

plus I want to make it feel like a real memoir, so, the whole story behind certain events will be either foggy and not specific, or not mentioned at all (cause Colin either wasn't there to remember it in the first place, or he couldn't remember too well) it happens with some conversations...

Suteki Da Ne? is Sousuke stuff...and the separate sort file for it will contain concepts for the comic (and obviously Monarch, and Via) as well, those may be in comic form so be sure to check for 'concept' in the title or the Artists' comments.

I had another 'sequel' idea, too, for Monarch but it was only thought of it in parallel to one of the endings I had come up with. The concept is sort of based around Mephistopheles and the Faustian legend/story... but I shouldn't get too ahead of myself.

I have a tendency to do that sometimes...

ARTWORK WISE.... don't expect anything spectacular. For some reason I haven't been able to get my scanner to work, and the tablet...well...sometimes I just don't want to do it. I'm still not very good.
I may upload photos of some of my work...some of my artwork is too big to fit in the scanner anyway, after all.

I don't know when I'll update.

Till the next time I need to whine, vent, inform!

-549

I stumbled across some old drawings of mine (and some of my friends) from high school, the oldest being dated December 16, 2005! That was what, or freshman/sophomore year or something? I know it was sometime before I got proper inking pens (Sharpie, fine or otherwise, doesn't look near as good as Sakura Pigma Micron pens).

Looking at them I suddenly realized how much I missed my friends from Nashville School of the Arts, and my friends from Bellevue Middle, and our quality lunchtime together, or whatever hang out time we had. I don't really know of anyone else who had 'conversations' that led to the creation of 'NINJA MANTIS' or his nemesis 'STICK BUG' (yes, capitalized for the way we said their names...), there were also things like exploding hermit crabs (no hermits actually exploded, just looked like they did), floofies, Puffims, squams, spoots, etcetera..., it was great! (there was also rabid squirrels and beavers and also that totally creepy cheshire cat I kept drawing...)
but now all those creative (or maybe just the Faygo, Ramune, candy/chocolate induced insanity) thoughts are gone...or something, or buried deep in my subconcious somewhere. When I finally found these drawings I got so frikken hyper! Do you know of any drawings that can make you hyper?!
To give you an idea, go check out some of the galleries belonging to the people I hung out with, to name a few, of course, not all...but if you explore my watchers and theirs you'll probably run across more

I only kept two of my high school sketch books with me, mostly only the two I used in 12th grade (I really can't find my older ones) there's things in there where I would take a character of my own creation and a friends, mostly Drake's (That's her nickname) character Koyu and my character Alexander Loxle and make fun of yaoi/ shonen-ai fan girl fan art (beh, that's a mouthful ) by pairing the two together (but I always made a separate panel where Koyu complains about it, he has a WIFE!! lol) I think that 'tradition' spawned after Drake told me she already had yaoi fan girls for Koyu, and she not only hadn't written a story for him, but her character was straight and married!

Ever since 9th grade, the visual arts kids had to define and draw words, it wasn't till 12th grade that the school board tried to get everybody to do it (not that Mrs. Moore made us, that is ) but I think that actually he...

You know, with his opinion on Twilight. >.>

According to Stephen, "Both Rowling and Meyer, they're speaking directly to young people... The real difference is that Jo Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can't write worth a darn. She's not very good."

I don't think he was trying to be mean though, after all he did say he could see the appeal.

"People are attracted by the stories, by the pace and in the case of Stephenie Meyer, it's very clear that she's writing to a whole generation of girls and opening up kind of a safe joining of love and sex in those books. It's exciting and it's thrilling and it's not particularly threatening because it's not overtly sexual."

He further explains, "A lot of the physical side of it is conveyed in things like the vampire will touch her forearm or run a hand over skin, and she just flushes all hot and cold. And for girls, that's a shorthand for all the feelings that they're not ready to deal with yet."

I'm not trying to be mean either, I looked up an excerpt from Twilight and one from Half Blood Prince, just to get my own opinion of the JK vs Meyer poll, and well there was a BIG difference, for one, honestly, I wanted Twilight to end within the first few paragraphs. It felt like Meyer was talking down to me, as if a more detailed description of what was going on was above my intelligence. I know this series was really written for younger girls then I, but to be honest, had I tried to read this book when I first picked up Harry Potter, I probably would have said, (at the age of 13, mind you) 'This isn't worth the AR points' (of course I've never really had a thing for vampires outside some real life people. Vlad the Impaler Prince, Elizabeth Bathory, and Richard Chase are pretty much the cream of the crop. [Richard Chase is the scariest, though, you really shouldn't count the other two out.])

now, my excerpt from Half Blood Prince was much shorter, but it latched on within a few words. Whether or you like Harry Potter or not, JK Rowling has the better writing style of the two. (I'm still trying to figure out what the hell Bella was crying about in that excerpt, was it because she wasn't a 'typical looking girl from Phoenix'? Was it because she wasn't popular? I can't figure it out. DETAIL, MEYER, DETAIL, DAMMIT! )

or maybe it's partly because I can't take a vampire writer of any genre (horror, comedy, romance) who can't bring herself to read one of Stephen King's books seriously. If you can't bring yourself to read one of the best contemporary fantasy, sci-fi, and horror writer's books, then why bother with creatures that King would ultimately mince, broil, and serve on a silver platter several times over? >.>

Twilight fans can hate me if they want, I don't particularly care. I think they should compare Meyer and Rowling's writing styles side by side, too, so they can see what I look for in good writing. It has nothing to do with whether I like vampires or wizards more.

In fact, I'm into a different type of world right now, the Seelie and Unseelie Courts are far more fascinating then plain old vampires, werewolves, and witches.

It's offically the Year of the Ox everybody!!! Let's all do Souma Hatsuharu Fan Art to celebrate!!

As for me, yes, I'm back in college as most of you know, but I'm sort of embarrassed to say that I'm on acedemic probation >.>; but... I like it... I wish I had this schedule last year, lol.
I sort of miss being with some of my buddies from the previous semester, but this time around there's a lot more people in my class I can hang out with that live in the same dorm with me. Which, is wonderful since when it comes to studying, I'm below parr. I never had to in High School so it's a new thing... That, and I really adore my new history teacher, she's so nice and not vague like last history teacher.

Gobet knows how much I disliked him, I was very lucky that she was willing to listen to me complain about him, and in honesty, letting me do that means A LOT to me, since she knows I was planning to do rather mean things to him >.>; THANK YOU GOBET!! xD

My new roommate has my old history teacher though, I warned her, at first she didn't think much of how I described it, but when she went to his first class, whooboy, she came back and seemed a little irritated. I was like 'You found out there was only four grades for the entire class didn't you?' she said yes and I let her have her mini rant, I even joined in.

The only thing our two history teacher have in common is they want us to us 'Chicago Manual Format' for our papers. I, personally, had never heard of it until the day I had to turn in my paper for my old History teacher. It didn't help that his instructions were VAGUE!! (gosh, I hate vague instructions) Nobody uses Chicago Manual before College! >.< At least not where I live! If we did, we would have learned in middle school and high school!
I don't even know what it looks like!

I also have most of my teacher's referring to me as 'Kei' lol
(I know there's other Caseys' in the school, so I told them to call me that )

Everything else seems to be going fine, in fact here's my class schedule:

Monday

4:20 PM-5:45 PM - Writing

Tuesday

2:40 PM- 4:05 PM - History/Survey

Wednesday

9:00 AM - 3:35 PM - 3D
4:20 PM - 5:45 PM - Writing

Thursday

2:40 PM - 4:05 PM - History/Survey

Friday

9:00 AM - 3:35 PM - Drawing 2

aahh afternoon classes, I love them, I wish I had this schedule last year!!

The 6th and 7th I have fall break, and hopefully Friday is when I'll get to leave and be back in Nashville. I want this to happen SO bad!!
I've been counting down the days for a while now.
BUT, there is school still, so I SHOULD focus on getting things done.

Since my wireless went down in the dorm, (again...) there is some things I need to catch you guys up on.

First off, Monday, the Ethernet was working again, last wednesday (a week ago today) I was so stressed out, and feeling over worked that I gave myself a "fever", being me, I wanted to stay in bed and go ahad and take a sick day, but, what would be the point of me staying up so late to get a paper done if I missed the class I did it for?? So, feeling ill I went to class anyway, I don't remember if I took my Adderal meds, or if I had breakfast, not that it would matter since when I don't feel up to par I get this attitude problem, I think it's a family thing, cause Skyler gets behavioral problems, too when he's not up to snuff either.
Mr. Price, my 3D teacher, sent me back to the room, he said that I needn't be in class if I'm not feeling good. So, I turned in the paper and left.

but, I also had this Observation essay to write for Writing 1, I have no idea how to write an Observation Essay, and he wanted us to do it on a place we had never been before, For me that was the HiTone (a club) and the Memphis Zoo. Since I was so petrified of going to the club Pankewycks wanted me to do the HiTone, I couldn't get myself out of the room. -.-;

So, I went to the zoo.

but, I still didn't get the rough draft done in time, so I'm slightly behind in that class now...

Other news, I DON'T GET NICKTOONS NETWORK IN THE DORM!!
I want do do more Three Delivery stuff but I haven't seen the show in soooo long I wouldn't know if what I think is creative has already actually been done in the show... (that's happened once, I drew a pic of Gintoki holding a baby that look similar to him, cause the thought had amused me, and it turned out there was an episode about that.)

anyway. PLEASE, For the love of what ever religion you believe in, LEAVE COMMENTS!!!

And I mean REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE IT!!!!!

I've been having a really hard time lately, too. It's like no matter what I do, how many questions I ask about the projects, how honestly I try to work hard on the udder crap they make us do, I FAIL. I can't do it right, I'll never do it right, and I feel like I should just quit.

But I don't want to, and I'm not going to. Besides, I'd feel worse for quitting.

I never thought I'd ever see the day where I would honestly miss Laurie Poole. Supposedly, my advisor (whom I've only had contact with through e-mail, really) is a lot like her, and I honestly wish she was one of my professors. Maybe it's because I know I can handle Ms. Poole type teachers. Not the nice ones who still make you feel like crap.

The only professors I've really come to like are Adam and Chuck. (I can call them by their first names! )

Adam is my Writing teacher, when I told him about why I was so upset 09-08 because of a multitude of things, he at least tried to help. I realize I probably should have gone to Davila (my advisor) but, I really don't know where she is most of the time, nor do I know where her office is. So har I've mainly be communicating with her through e-mail!

Oh, right, I haven't told you guys what happened Monday yet!

Well here it goes,

Mondays I have Painting class, and the 8th we were making canvases. But I left my 24"x24" plyboard in my room, so during my lunch break I had to walk back down there. After I had eaten and was on my way back I had planned to ride my bike that afternoon, so when I checked to make sure it was where I had locked it up IT. WASN'T. THERE. I fucking bike got fucking stolen. Naturally, being the only thing I had ever bought myself that was over $20 to get stolen, I was VERY upset.

I tried to report it to the security guard but he was on his lunch break, and wasn't back until after I had to go back to woodshop and finish up my canvases.
In an emotional state I tried to work heavy machinery (not really that heavy) but I was still following Kenny's instructions, when I got to the point where I needed to drill again, I noticed that I managed to break the tip off the drill previously.

I was already upset about my bike getting stolen, and then I broke one of Kenny's tools without realizing it, so when I went over to tell him, being completely flustered, and emotionally haywire, I actually started CRYING!!! (how humiliating.)
Kenny sorta freaked out in a parent/grandparent sort of way, he thought it was just because I had broken the drill, but I knew with that kinda tool where the tip usually breaks off after soo much use that it wasn't really my fault, but I was still the one it decided to give out on. He tried to make me feel better, I laughed a little because I knew he had misunderstood and told him the real reason. He just nodded, and continued to try to make me smile/ feel better. It worked a little, he told me that bikes get stolen here all the time. (I just wish it hadn't have been the new one I had just bought)

So, after all of that, when class was finally over, I got to go report it the security officer, everything about that was normal.

When I went back to the dorm I told one of the other bike riders about it being stolen, she had the audacity to tell me that it was probably my fault (which is in all probability the truth)! Nice way to make someone who already feels terrible feel better, ne? *sarcasm*

Later, in writing, Adam pulled me over before I entered the classroom and told me I failed to sign up for a presentation group. Just imagine how great I felt then, huh?
On the way up to the computer labs I cried AGAIN!!!! (mein gott, I suck)

-.-

So.
On top of not being able to be with my bestest friend teh Gobet on her birthday.
My bike was stolen.
I broke Kenny's drill.
A girl told me that my bike being stolen was my fault.
And I failed to do something.
I was having a really great day. *Voice, eyes, and body language drips venomous sarcasm*

But the next time I was in Writing I told Adam why I was so upset, and he told me about this place where I could get a new bike. And was all around more understanding. So I like him.

Chuck is my drawing teacher, he's really nice and funny. But I have never seriously had a teacher pick up my sketch book and show it around class and tell people he really liked it and that they should take a look at it.
Maybe it's because I've been working in sketchbooks four years longer then everybody else??

but anyway.
This weekend w...

One was a reading thing and the other was for my drawing class!
Now if anything, I should of had the drawing class thing done, BUT I do not yet possess a yard stick. Which would make it a lot easier to do a straight line on the HUGE sketchbook I got for the class, (I have a T-square though, I could use that...)
But I'm determined to get the perspective thing done.
You know what I did instead of the other drawing homework, I worked in my SMALLER drawing sketchbook, two realistic pictures. One of Miyavi with his pinky up his nose and another of Kamijo.
But the teacher did ask if he could show the class the pictures though...

Remember that journal post I had with the Batman trivia in it?

I'm surprised, of all the people I know outside of dA, only Bunny attempted to try the trivia, talk about disappointment.

but here's the answers I was looking for:

1) 4 Robins [in order]
a) Richard "Dick" Grayson
b) Jason Todd
c) Tim Drake
d) Stephanie Brown
2) The most cited Joker origin story is found in The Killing Joke. (Also tolerated, 'Fell in a vat of chemicals'

3) First Batman story is "The Case of the Chemical Syndicate" published May 1939 in Detective Comics (#27).

4) The entrance to the Bat-cave (as shown most in Batman Beyond) is hidden behind a Grandfather clock in Bruce's study.

I gotta give myself some credit, these were hard. But I had to ask the questions my uncle would ask >.>

This isn't to say your answers were wrong, there's a lot of different versions for some of the different stories.

For example, and quote, "If I have to have a past I'd like it to be multiple choice," that is a reference to the fact that the Joker usually changed his story (which was also referenced in the new movie The Dark Knight, but the MOST WIDELY ACCEPTED Joker origin story is in the comic The Killing Joke.

I didn't expect anyone to know all 4 of the Robins, I only expected people to know Dick Grayson and and Tim Drake.

I didn't expect anyone to know the first story

and yes, I'm sure there are possibly numerous entries into the Bat-cave, however, the one I've seen most often is behind the Grandfather clock.

so...
yes, you just needed to be careful on what I was looking for.

-

Is it any wonder why I don't completely understand why everyone suddenly went crazy for Batman?
I'm packing today to leave for Move in day tommorrow at MCA.
And my mom says that despite what my dad says that I would want something like a storage box to have in the dorm, and she kept trying to give e this really big stuff, and I was like, 'Don't I have my own FITUNDERTHEBED storage box?' and she looked at me like this =
and quote,, "Well, yeah, but doesn't have stuff in it?"
yea, it did, but not much, just a few of my gazillion Barbie things that I don't think I ever really played with, I just like setting up the scenes. (I never understood why it was considered normal for a little girl to talk out loud as if the doll were talking when she's playing by herself)
And going through the dolls I'm thinking, Hey Barbies make GREAT models, some are easier to pose then others, they don't talk or breathe, and you don't have to feed them
I don't know why fashion magazines bother with real people, they could make some realistic manikins!
No, I kid, I know why they use real people

but me and my roommates Shannon and Presius may have some extra of some stuff, because my parents, still mainl my mom, is worrying that we won't have some things, or enough of somethings.
So far, we have an extra set of plates, mini plates, bowls, saucers, and cups.
they also (well apparently we had some extra disposible forks knives and spoons) so we're going to have extra of that. >.>

Seriously, can you kinda tell I'm the first kid they're sending to college?
And my family, and, mostly me, is still rather psyk'd that I'm pretty much the first Seals' to go to college with every intention of getting some sort of degree, or at least they make me out that way. >.> I mean, my dad went to Georgia Tech for a little while, but didn't finish (no degrees that I know of, )
and my mom was going up until about Sawyer was born, but stopped, I don't think she has any degrees either

So wish me luck guys! ^^

PS, one of my mom's work friends (who lives in Florida) has a daughter who's real deal mentally challenged, and she told my mom that all she had to worry about with (mostly me and Skyler) is us walking off (aka, in Skyler's case, running away from school *sigh*) but if she doesn't stand out with her daughter at the bus stop the school bus won't even pick her up! >(
Doesn't that piss you off?!! >

(at the time one of those cousin's was cosplaying Robin [which is okay, cause there actually was a female Robin at one point])
So for me, seeing the new movie wasn't anything special, besides that it was Heath Ledger's last movie, now, don't get me wrong, I liked the new movie.

It's just...how many of you guys have a family member that'll quiz you on the series history every time a new movie in that series comes out? It's fun, but still.

but for the record, I OWN'd at Superman trivia when that new movie came out!
And I wasn't there when the Dark Knight came out >_> I live in a different state then my uncle.

But, just so I can see if you know your Batman, I'm gunna give you some of the questions I would expect my uncle to ask me.

1) How many Robins have there been and what were their real names?
2) What is the MOST WIDELY cited Joker origin story?
3) What was the first Batman story and when was it published in what comic issue?
4) How would you get in to the Bat-cave, according to Batman the Animated Series, and Batman Beyond?

Just say what you know, some of these are hard. >.>

I did.

But it wasn't just that, I blacked out about twice (something that seems to happen to me and Skyler more often then everybody else in our family) and threw up virtually nothing, I hadn't eaten at all!

But, thankfully I'm feeling much better now.
and I've eaten, too.

The only other thing is, my brother Sawyer still hasn't shown up and even if it wasn't a half day for high schoolers he should be home by now. And his cell phone is off. So not but a little while ago my mother went to drive around looking for him.
You see, the Metro Transit buses shut down some routes due to gas prices, the bus that came right behind our house was one of those routes that was shut down. Mostly because it only gets costumers during the school year. But my guess is, with all the little kids that were riding that bus there will be a very huge amount of parental complaining to MTA. >.>

But if Sawyer somehow makes it to the house before mom comes home, I am to give him a lecture about turning his phone on after school.

*Update* Good news, found Sawyer, he had a full day instead of a half day and was at my dad's office, apparently he just got there.

All is good now.

Clubs :Star:

I went down into the bathroom to change into my swimsuit like a normal person, and when I was getting ready to go back up to the pool, my cell phone slipped out of my shorts pocket and DORWNED in the toilet!! D:

I recently got a 'new' phone, it's actually my mother's old one, and is exactly the same as my cell phone. I have the same number and everything, (which is good because I haven't memorized it yet)
The bad news is I LOST EVERYTHING!!
including my awesome ringtone (it was For Real from Saiyuki)
My wallpaper, (it was a pic of Rath Illuser from Dragon Knights)
and the super amazing video of pealing and eating a banana with her feet!

Anyway, I'm gunna ask the people who I used to have in my phone for their numbers again, and most of them are here. so Note me when you read this

But on the lighter side, I went to FUNimation's iTunes channel and purchased Ep.1 of an anime called Suzuka, I like it.

Club(s)

Okay, I went to the DMV to get an identification Card for Mrs. Greer, the lady who opened my bank account for me. (you can't use school ids, as it turns out) and I saw there, she just got her permit, or, license or whatever, So after we talked a little bit, I (and my mother) decided to go ahead and take the permit test, cuz you know, we were already there, and, even though Ally said it would be easy (she only missed about 4) and usually that means I would pass too.

Well, you'd think that.

I EPIC FAILED my written test by ONE EFFING POINT!!

So, when I got home I was like, I'm going to brood over this so I should do something that will distract me from it.

I rode my new bike till my legs turned to noodles. Which actually puts me in a good mood for some reason...

I should probably be disappointed, since my EPIC FAIL was due to over-thinking, but I can't help doing that, it's my nature.

But the DMV is COLD. I was HUNGRY (well, partially, I should have eaten before I left)
And I really didn't intially plan to take the written test when I had gone, so, >.>

I did better then I thought I would. I'm mean, I hadn't really had a chance to study very well before, and I hadn't taken any practice test, so, only failing by 1 Point is amazing for me. (lol, I'm sooo used to failure )

It was awesome to, because it was a computerized, so it told me when I was wrong and when I was right.

When I was right, the multipul choice part of the screen would flash a blue screen with 'CORRECT' written in white letters, and when I got it wrong the ENTIRE screen would turn blue with 'INCORRECT' in big white letters then told me the right answer.

P.S.

Vater Unser (Father Ours) by E Nomine is teh EPIC AWESOME!! xD

seriously.

when I first started listening to it I was contemplating doing another Vampire Heart illustration for

It has that perfect sound that I've already associated with Ren's father.

I'd give you the link to a playlist I have with it on it, but, you need an Imeem account. (they're free if you wanna get one, usually the quality of songs is better there then on YouTube)

I'm no longer a fan of YouTube XP , (I say that though I still use it) it takes forever for the videos to come in full, it feels like Dial-up to me. (Youtube is like Dail-up speed now!! XP)

I prefer VEOH, and CRUNCHYROLL.
If you have an account on Crunchy, you can choose your video quality, from LOW, HIGH, and HIGH DEFINITION BABY!!, and Veoh, is great for finding that one show that doesn't air anymore.
I believe several stations have there own channel on Veoh (including FUNimation, i think).

CruchyRoll is really great for expanding anime horizons, and very few times is there a licensed anime on there to watch (which is a good thing, believe it or not)
So you're really encouraged on that site to explore new animes so you aren't a mainstream Anime Otaku. (which means you only watch what Cartoon Network airs in Anime, What Disney has of anime, and any other station, I think G4 airs Samurai Deeper Kyo and I know SciFi airs anime)

I recommend highly Nabari no Ou
and Amatsuki on CrunchyRoll, also, if you're into sickeningly cute, DAA! DAA! DAA!

Now, because I'm old enough, I watch Honey x Honey Drops, the concept is pretty stupid, think, Ouran High School Host Club crossed with the idea of Slave Tutors. It's really dumb, but the animation is great, and for such a dumb concept I actually find the story to be somewhat interesting. Characters are pretty interesting as far as development over the 2 episodes I've watch.

What's really great is that CrunchyRoll not only pays for majority of the Subs they host, they take them down once they're licensed in America.

For those of you who may not know, because of Fansubs, Fandubs, and in the blaming words of a VA, Youtube, the Anime industry is really hurting. Geneon already folded late last year (or ear...

So, this morning I took my Adderall, for my ADD so I could focus on the virtual drivers ed stuff (Yes, 18 and I don't even have a permit yet, it's pretty sad), but as I made through the videos (I'm about halfway done with the videos and the whole lesson things, though I ma go over them) and got really tired of it, and that's with the medication, people, even virtual driver's ed teachers suck. , So, still hyped up on YOU- MUST- FOCUS- NOW medication, I cleaned my entire room, all day with no breaks, except, you know, what I had to stop for. >.>

That's all I've done all day, clean.
Soooo..... I finally figured out how to change my Mac's background image, and how to save pictures to a folder (man, Macs are weird.) So now I have a desktop image of a bored Rokujo Miharu.

Anyway, I was combing through my e-mail and got a Daily Prophet update on the new Harry Potter stuff, the next movie HBP will be released in the US soon, I looked further to see that it is indeed going to be released in November (like normal), on the 21st this year.

However, at the same time I learned some terrible news, one of the actors in the upcoming movie was stabbed to death, it was Robert Knox, he had a small role but still...

On a less depressing note, Yates has also signed on to do the Deathly Hallows movie, he went to JK Rowling and they decided that the movie would be split into two parts since nothing in that book could be eliminated.

Anyway....Peace be with Knox, I bet he was pretty cool. you can read the articles here >> [link]
