Friday was a good warm up and Saturday and Sunday were utter madness. From the moment I sat down until the con closed (and for a few hours Saturday night back at the hotel), I was drawing commissions for people. It was insane and insanely fun(!). The semester has been amazing - it's pushed me into a new realm with my art. Still have a good distance to go, but I'm much closer than I was 8 weeks ago. Amazing what some great teachers will do.

I came with fresh samples (everything in my portfolio was (at most) three weeks old) and more confidence than before. The first day was open to professionals and exhibitors THREE HOURS before it opened to the public. After about ten minutes of wandering, I realized what a great opportunity that was. I ran to all the publishers I wanted to talk with and got as many portfolio reviews as I could before it got too crowded with all the regular con riff raff ;)

So, Savannah is where I'm at now, hard at work on my MFA in Sequential Art. It's AWESOME. Yes, it's not cheap, but in just two weeks my entire ability to draw has gone from "eh" to "decent." Which is a HUGE step for me.
