So it's been almost a month since my last update. Lots has been happening and I apologize for not updating more.

After the open house, I basically had the rest of the month booked with photo shoots. I've been fortunate to have had 3 models from modelmayhem.com come work with me. I also got to do some band promo shots with Bishops of Warsaw, an upcoming band in the St.Catharines area. They were a blast to work with.

I have a portrait session next weekend, and also another session with a new model from modelmayhem.com. The business is definitely picking up and I'm going to be marketing myself for prom photography soon, so I'm excited about that.

The website will be getting some new images this week, so keep checking back from time to time and let me know what you think

I start work at the Skylon Tower this week doing special effects photographs like I did last summer. Lots of photography/editing, but it's a decent job and I enjoyed it for the most part last summer. Now only if they had macs. lol

Speaking of Macs, I have a 2 week old 24" iMac sitting in the studio now. It's been a HUGE upgrade from my 12" powerbook (which I still love to death). But there comes a time to upgrade regardless and I'm definitely not regretting it (especially with the amount of editing I have to do these days). I've taken a picture of it, and I'll post it soon.

Besides business, I've been keeping busy with friends and a new boyfriend. I'm also moving into a house with said friends on May 1st, so I'm excited about that as well. I'm just excited about being on my own and well, living my life the way I want it to be. Unfortunately, I'll be moving out on rather rocky terms with my parents, but it's a necessary step. I think we all experience (or have experienced) that in one point or another in our lives. Just gotta take life by the horns and say "giddy up!" As for my health, I've had for the most part good days, with a few bad days. The last ER visit was about 3 weeks ago now, and I have a handful of doctor's appointments scheduled so I can hopefully eliminate the bad days completely.

Like I've mentioned before, I've had several photos shoots, which I'm slowly going through. I'll post images soon, but it's difficult to remember to update every account I have, so I'll do my best to show you guys my work here as well. So it's been 5 years since I've joined dA! Seems like time flies, doesn't it? It certainly has for me! I seem to say the same thing every year when I celebrate my dA anniversary. I seem to thank the same people and go on about the things I want to accomplish, etc, etc. I have met a lot of great people off this website and also gained so much inspiration from other artists.

Life has been busy, that's for sure. I had another photo shoot this weekend, which went realllly well! I'm also behind on editing...I know, I know. I'm working on it and I'll post pictures as soon as I can. I have 3 shoots to edit still. I also start my new job tomorrow (again). I'm working 7am-3:30pm and then get to do photography editing until I'm caught up. I've been spending a lot of time with friends, which is the only thing that keeps me sane these days it seems. I'm definitely not complaining. I'm really content with my life right now. It's the best feeling ever!

Been a week or two since I've updated. I've been super busy and haven't had much time to reply to things or comment on deviations. I'm trying to get back into the swing of things though, but I might go back into Lurking mode if things pick up again.

I had my studio open house on April 4th and things went fabulous! I had about 30 people stop by, a mix of friends, family and new clients. I also got everything done on time! (which was a miracle!) But I'm definitely excited about this opportunity.

I'm booked solid now for the month of April. I think I have 1 time slot left, but other than that, I have a busy month ahead of me. I also have 2 assistants working under me, which is kind of mind boggling for me - one of them even calls me "boss"

I have photos from 2 shoots that I need to edit and upload still. I need to get that done before my shoot on Saturday or else I'm going to get behind and that won't be good. So keep your eyes peeled for LOTS of new photos.

Other than business stuff, things have been going decently. I go back to work next week, so I'll be even more busy then. Sigh. Oh well, it's money. I did manage to get the morning shift for a little while, so I'm happy about that. Still waiting on some other tests, but I'm feeling a lot better. I've been hanging out with my friends too, so I've been having a good balance of work and play.

So here's the Journal CSS! Isn't it lovely? Everyone should go give ¢nyssi a huge hug and definitely some love. She did a fantastic job! I'm so thrilled to have my own CSS!

Unfortunately, I did most of my rambling yesterday, but I do have a couple things to update. I'm getting my own internet set up at the studio next Tuesday. I've also been doing some window shopping online to find some furniture for my studio. I could furnish my entire house and then some with with stuff from Ikea. Haha, it could also leave me flat broke!

I have some shots that I'll be posting from a stag'n'doe soon. I also have some special devious photos that I'll be posting soon. Let's just say that my Fella got in front of my camera and we took some fun photos. They're very cute and I'm really happy with the way they turned out.

So that's about it for now. I just need to stay focused and keep going because it'd be pretty easy to stay in bed and sleep all day if I let myself...and I can't do that. I just feel like I have to prove to people that I can live my life the way I want to. That my dreams can become reality if I stay focused and determined. This is what I've wanted for years and at the age of 20, I might be the youngest person in the industry out there (in my area at least) who's putting it all out on the line in order to try to make it big.

I start work today so I'll be AFK from 3:15pm - 12:30am(EST) from Monday to Friday.
Chances are weekends will be spent making some minor changes to the studio and shooting.

There's an apartment available pretty much across the street from the studio which I've gone to look at. It's very nice and updated. I'm just waiting for Adam to get back from Holidays to see what he thinks. If everything is a go, we could be living together within the next couple weeks!

Red Seven Photography has been getting a lot of exposure. I've been networking a lot of ModelMayhem.com as of the last few weeks and have booked a total of 5 photo sessions between next weekend and the end of April. I'm only booking weekends now thanks to the shitty work hours, but I think it should work out nicely. Weekends are my only time to well, breathe, but I'm all about breathing Photography so why the hell not! I also have some major ideas for my company that could make things very profitable in the near future. I'll elaborate in a moment or two.

I'm photographing my cousin's daughter next Saturday. She turns 4 on March 23rd I believe and she's all into photography that it's purely hilarious! She'll run around with a point and shoot camera saying she's busy doing a "photo shoot". She'll get you to do funny poses and go into the "playback" mode to check the picture and if she's not happy with it, she'll take another one just in case.

I went to Fabricland on Monday (Yes, i was singing the theme song in my head the ENTIRE time I was there!) and picked up 5 different fabrics with cute and colourful colours. They only cost me 2 arms and 4 legs, but I'm okay with that. Drapery Fabric is definitely a blessing - I really am thanking the seamstresses who came up with drapery fabric.

Pros: It doesn't wrinkle, it's heavy duty, durable, doesn't need cleaning often unless you spill coffee or other beverages on it.
Cons: You have to get it cleaned at the Drycleaners, it's heavy to carry around, and it cost a shit load of money (Avg $15-20/meter)

I've posted a few deviations with 2 of the backdrops, and they enhance my portraits wonderfully. It's definitely worth the investment. I'm definitely not dealing with paper backdrops unless absolutely necessary.

I have 2 hotel photo shoots happening April 18 & 19. I have a Make Up Artist coming in from Toronto, so I'm super excited about that.

I'm also in the process of opening a studio for my photography busines but also to rent the space out to other photographers for decent prices. As far as I'm aware of, there's only 1 place that has a "studio" space that is available for rent and it's not in the greatest condition. I figure that if I open a studio and rent it out to others, that it'll help others build their portfolios faster and also give models and photographers a place to socialize and network with each other. Photographer A shoots with Model A. Photographer B shoots with Model B. Photog A can then shoot with Model B and Photog B can shoot with Model A. It's a win/win solution in my eyes and seems like it will be a good investment in the future. With the space I rent, I also hope to have a mini gallery area. This can be not only for my work, but for other upcoming photographers out of high school or others who are interested in showing their work off. Again, it's a win/win solution since I can be helping out others who share the same passion as me.

I am brilliant.

Bwhaha. So, I've been having a bit of a slump with my health again. 2 pain attacks this week and I was violently ill last night for about 3 hours. It was not fun. I'm back on meds and thankfully, I have an ultrasound later today. I'm hoping it gives some answers or some kind of direction as to what's going on still.

Speaking about later today, Adam is going to Myrtle Beach for a week and I am le sad. I was suppose to go with them but I start work on Monday so I couldn't go. Oh well. It's only a week, right? I've been able to survive months before, so this should be a piece of cake!

So things have been interesting around my neck of the woods.

I've been having more pain attacks (2 this past weekend alone). Luckily I have a doctor's appointment on Wednesday to get things checked out and to work on the next steps of "what's wrong with me".

www.redsevenphotography.com had a bit of a hiccup last week and it required me to switch templates and well, start all over again. I managed to get 95% of the content up in a couple days and I'm working on the final details right now. I'm also working on getting my images uploaded to my portfolio.

I've given the A.O.K. to ¢nyssi to start my custom CSS for my blog and for my journal CSS, so that should be coming soon and I'm ever so excited!

On that note, I'm keeping my blog updated with images from past photo shoots and other photography related things I find. So feel free to check it out and leave some comments on my posts.

Red Seven Photography Blog!

I fought and fought with Apple to get them to replace the defective battery they sent me, but I couldn't win. So I ended up just getting a new one, since I couldn't find a second hand one anywhere. But alas, it arrived in the mail and I'm using it right now. It seems like it'll be treating me well and if it doesn't, I have a 1 year warranty on it, so I can get it replaced if it acts up on me.

I have a photo shoot scheduled for March 18 with ~Dalolaw. I'm busy getting together a team to help with that shoot. My cousin-in-law also wants me to take pictures of their daughter for her 4 year old portrait. So I'm excited about planning that.

In other news... I've been mugged by `Flutterings!!!

Some other happy news is that Adam and I celebrated our 3 month anniversary on Saturday. It feels like we've been together for much longer. We enjoyed McDonalds and watching movies all day. Oh I know, we're totally high class.

My subscription runs out in about 2 weeks, so I'll see if I can scramble some money together to get me another one.

Dalolaw on Monday due to -20ËC weather. We're in the works of rescheduling.

I had to order a bunch of other things when I originally when to go pick up my new camera gear, so I'll be picking that up today. I might try some still-life stuff just to get a feel for things. I'm stoked for the new soft box. It's going to rock!

I've been on the phone with Apple trying to get a new battery for my computer. I can barely run my computer for 20 minutes on my battery without it going into sleep mode. It's very frustrating since Apple sent me a defective battery when I applied for their Battery Recall/Replacement program. I've downloaded an application called iBatt. It monitors the status of my battery and also can tell me how much depletion has already occurred and how fast it drains when it's not being charged. Luckily I have the option of taking it in for a diagnostic test and it'll determine if it's the battery that's defective or if I'm having hardware issues. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's the battery and not the hardware, or else I might end up looking at replacing my powerbook.

I'm slowly plugging through the 4th Book of Twililght. I know, I know. I've been reading these books since November. Cut me some slack, I'm a slow reader.

Oh! Exciting news! I'm working with ¢nyssi for some custom CSS work that I'm getting done to my blog. She's also creating a journal CSS to match! I can't wait to share it with you guys

As for shoots, I'm stating to take appointments for Children's Portraits. My first session is in March and I know I have 3-4 other clients who are interested in me taking pictures of their kids. I'm excited about that also, since it gives me an opportunity to work with my studio lights more. I'm also looking forward to warmer weather so I can go outside to do shoots.

I had a bit of a setback on Sunday night as I had a pretty bad pain attack. First one in a while actually. I thought I was at the 6 week recovery point, but turns out I'm only at week 5. Whoops. Don't worry, I'm taking it easy. I just have to wait another 3 weeks to do anything crazy. I'm joking!

This past week I had 3 Shoots. One with my friend Jen, One with my friend Shawna and my friend ended up taking photos of me. I also finished editing the rest of the set from ~Lusted-Prodigy's shoot 2 weeks ago. I'll be posting all of these photos soon (including the photos of me) probably Sunday or Monday. There's going to be about 30+ images, so I apologize in advance for spamming your message centers.

My Soft box, white backdrop and my Gary Fong Lightsphere II clear diffuser came in. I'll pick them up on Monday and put them to use asap. I also need to get a powerpack from Canadian Tire so I can do some location shoots with my gear. I'm excited about that.

On Monday I have a shoot with ~Dalolaw. I'll edit those pictures up as soon as I can. I know she'll be antsy to see them.

I'm also trying to book a few more shoots next week to keep me busy, although I'm sure I won't have a problem with that with the way things have been going lately.

I guess I'll do a quick update since I'm here already..

My Valentines Day weekend went well. Adam gave me 5 beautiful roses (check my webcam picture) and he took me out to the Keg on Sunday (he had to work Saturday). We also went drinking with the guys. Steak, booze and a handsome man. Not much more a girl could ask for!

If anyone is looking for a 12" iBook G3/G4 battery, please contact me...I'm selling one I accidentally bought I'll do a trade for a good 12" powerbook G4 battery too (must be in mint condition!)

Let's see... Weather permitting, I have a photo shoot on Thursday afternoon and I have a photo shoot in the works for next week as well. I figure I have to book 4-5 photo shoots a month to keep up with my expenses...I think I can manage that! Definitely keeps me motivated.

I've started volunteering at my old high school in the Photography Department as of today. I'll go in a couple times a week and work with the students. I'm also hoping to get the position of the Photographer for the school musical they're putting on...that'd be a nice paycheck. It'd also give me a chance to work with a couple students who are interested in going into photography...the musical that was happening in 2006 when I graduated helped me, so why not try to help others who have the same dream? It's worth a shot.

I'm going to a birthday party on Saturday. I can't wait! It's going to be a lot of fun and there will be lots of booze! I also have a family dinner on Sunday, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again

So it's been a couple days since my last update.

I had a photo shoot in Toronto on Wednesday with the lovely ~Lusted-Prodigy. It was definitely great to see her again. We also got some lovely photos of her and got to hang out with some of the other girls I lived with last year. I also enjoyed cafeteria food Oh how I missed it. I've been editing pictures slowly so some more should be popping up soon.

I'm actually very excited about a couple things that will be happening in the near future.

First off, I picked up 2 books from Chapters recently. They arrived in the mail yesterday and I can't put them down! (And no, I'm not done the twilight books yet..i know, i know!)

I got Best Business Practices for Photographers by John Harrington and Lighting and the Dramatic Portrait - The Art of Celebrity and Editorial Photography by Michael Grecco. These books were both recommended by Stobist, so I thought I'd check them out. I really think these books are essential for having a key insight to photography and how different things work both on the side of running a business and also on the creative side behind the camera.

I've been in contact with my Photography teacher from High School recently and I've offered myself to be a 2nd teacher for the photography class. I remember what it was like in high school and I wished I had someone who could have worked with me one-on-one to help me execute my creative ideas better. I'm also going to be working on educating myself about lighting more, so I can pass on my knowledge to the students. I have all this equipment and I'd like to give the students the opportunity to be able to try it out as well. Don't worry, I'd be present at all times during shoots to make sure bad things didn't happen. But yeah, this opportunity is very exciting to me.

Adam's brother wants me to take some creative photographs of his car when the weather gets better. I can't help but be excited about something like this. It's a new area for me, which means I get to practice, but it's also a very creative collaboration between us. I already think of him as a brother, so he was pretty stoked when I said I'd do it...he also mentioned he'd kiss me if I found a cute model to stand in front of his car for some of the shots He doesn't know that I'll probably kick him in the balls after So yeah, I've been doing research on deviantART here because there's so many talented car photographers. I've put together a collection and I'll keep adding to it when I find new things.

I'm starting to market my prom photography services to local high schools in my area. I know for a fact that most photographers stay away from these events due to the fact that the prom committee's can't afford professional photographers prices. I figure I'm building myself up and I do enjoy covering events. I'm not cheap by any means, but I do charge enough to make a pretty penny. I'm in the midst of getting a flyer/postcard made up so I can give them out to schools. I've been 3 years since I got to cover a prom, so I'm hoping to book a couple this year.

Hm, what else. I got my hair done on Friday (nothing major, just blond highlights and cleaning up the dead ends). I do have Valentines plans that spread out between today and Monday, so message me on msn if you want details. I'll be around later tonight, but Sunday & Monday I'll probably be AFK.

Other than that, things are going great. I'm definitely itching to book more shoots as I'm loving every minute of them. Things are finally starting to look...up

Life has been busy since I bought my equipment last week. I've had 2 portrait shoots in order to test out my gear and try different techniques. I also went out and took some scenic photos with ~Simply-Tiffany today.

I'll be heading to Toronto on Feb 11th for a photo shoot with my dear friend, ~Lusted-Prodigy. I'm very VERY excited to see her, since I haven't seen her since October It's going to be a blast! I'm also going to see some of my other friends who I went to college with last year

I'm also still waiting on a bunch of gear that I ordered last week. I'm hoping it'll be here before Wednesday so I can bring it on the shoot with me.

I'm happy to say that I have a bunch of photography ideas that I'm going to be trying out in the near future with a bunch of new faces. As you've seen, my brother and my Adam have both posed for me and the photos turned out great. They also had a lot of fun during the process

It's really great to have this motivation. I mean, having the equipment at my fingertips is just the beginning of my potential. It really doesn't give me an excuse to sit around anymore and do nothing.

I'm still looking into web designers and someone to brand me a new logotype for my company. Hopefully the search won't go on too long as I'm planning on marketing myself in different areas very very soon.

As for health issues, I've been doing okay. I'm still having pain and I've made an appointment to get a family doctor (finally I know!), so hopefully things will work out with that and finding out why I'm still broken.

But yeah, the last week has been busy. We went bowling, to a movie night and to a birthday party this week. Next week Adam and I are going out for sushi with some of my friends too! I love sushi! Add on hanging out and making appearances to the other side of the family and it keeps us busy. Valentines Day is this Saturday too! I am excited...I won't lie. Adam's given me some teasers, so it makes me wonder. I might have some tricks up my sleeves too, so we'll have to see how things go.

There has been progress! (so soon, I know!)

Yesterday I took a trip to my local Henry's Photo store and picked up the following stuff:

Some of the stuff had to be ordered in, but I have enough of it at home that I'm going to start doing some "test" portraits of friends and family so I can learn how to use my flash kit that I picked up. I'm really starting to feel the motivation from finally owning enough gear that I can start producing semi-professional photographs. It cost me a really really pretty penny, but it's totally worth it.

I'm also going to start working on some new branding for my company and finally get a website up and running, since I've been paying for hosting/domain costs since 2006 and haven't ever put up an official website. I think it's about time...don't you?

So on that note, if you're a web designer/graphic designer and would like a challenge branding/designing a website for my photography company, give me a shout and I'll give you some things I'm looking for. I am willing to a few pretty pennies for your services, so don't hesitate to message me.

I'm definitely excited! Now I have to unpack everything and learn how some things work. If any of you know of some good lighting tutorials/techiques, feel free to send them my way. I'm already get emails from Strobist () on a daily basis so any other blogs/articles I'd be happy to read and learn from.

So what a weekend! Seriously. One of the best in a long while.

Friday Morning I went to the new Eye Doctor place to get a quote on upgrading my prescription for my glasses. As some of you know, the cut on my lenses is horrible. They're warpped and bend outside the frame. It's been like this for 3 years now...never gave me any issues. The lady said she wanted to try to bend my lenses so they were more flush with my glasses since it's not good for them to warp like they did. It can actually make my eye sight WORSE and cause long term damage to my eyes...

So I let her go ahead and try to fix my glasses until my new lenses are in. She comes back with one lens snapped in half...'OHSNAP' would be a good term to use at this point. They have another temporary lens in stock, and cut it to fit my frame right then and there. They also were able to bend my other lens to be more flush. Seriously, it's like having new glasses. I didn't realize how bad my glasses were for me until I came to these people. It's good to be educated on how the cut of your glasses should be. If they're sticking outside of your frames, I'd suggest getting it checked out or else you may be making your eye sight worse!

Friday night I saw Taken. It was pretty good and filled with lots of action. They managed to keep it to 1 hour and 30 minutes too, which is impressive. The ending could have used a little work though. I got to hang out with the guys after at one of the local bars and we had a few laughs.

Saturday I spent hanging out with Adam. We went to dinner too and I didn't end up in the hospital like last time.

Sunday was the superbowl and OH MAN WAS IT GOOD! ...sorry, I got a little excited there. There were moments I was yelling at the tv screen, but who wasn't! C'mon! I wasn't really cheering for anyone specific, but the Steelers did have a higher priority for having a higher score. . I got to go to a superbowl party with some of Adam's co-workers. It was a cozy event with enough greasy food to clog my arteries. I did survive though, so all is well.

Monday wasn't too bad. I started packing up my room to a certain degree. Alberta isn't 100% yet, but we're working on it. I packed my art prints that are framed in my big box, since my mom won't let me hang anything on the walls because of the possibility of me moving. I also am in the process of cleaning my desk, since it's dusty as hell.

I'm thinking about doing some creative portraits in a local studio to keep me busy. The rate isn't horrible...$35/hour and there's a local hair salon right across the street which I'm hoping to team up with for some unique hairdos. It's just frustrating since I don't have that much money...actually, I have debt and the photoshoots wouldn't be making me any money since I need to spruce up my portfolio and they'd be TFP and split the cost of the studio depending on how many models I can shoot within an hour or two. I do have a bunch of local models who want to work with me, which I'm flattered by, but I'm afraid I'm losing my spice for what I used to love doing. I'll update on this once there's some progress.

My doctor suggested I get a colonoscopy today, even though he's 100% sure it will come back fine. So I'm not going to do that...he also gave me medication to "help" during my pain attacks, even though there's a 5% chance it'll help. He's a smart doctor...actually, I think he's sick of not knowing what's wrong with me He did say my situation was a "headache" today.

Feature

So things are going well. I see dA is now fixed, which makes me a happy deviant.

We got a dumptruck of snow last night and my mom managed to get 2/3 cars stuck in the driveway when she thought she could launch them into a foot of snow. I promise I didn't shovel a lot of snow, just enough to tickle my fancy. I did help drive the cars out of the driveway with the help of 3 neighbours.

I'm going to look for part-time/full-time work soon, because frankly these days at home aren't fun anymore. Hence why I went out to shovel snow, when I wasn't suppose to.

I managed to spend 3.5 hours playing WoW one night and promised I wouldn't do that again. I had a wicked headache after. I also tried Mustard Soup. It was delicious, but my body didn't like it and made me violently sick. I wasn't too happy about that.

I decided I'm going to apply to the University of Alberta for their Business Degree program. I figured why not. If I'm accepted, I'll be starting classes in September 2009. I'll be focusing on Marketing, Management & Organization, and Retailing & Service.

That's about it for now. I need to make an appearance at Adam's household because it's his dad's birthday. I'll be posting a few photos within the next couple days though. So here's until next time.

Update 01/24/09

This whole "recovering" thing isn't my cup of tea. I'm getting antsy being at home all the time...at most I get to go to Adam's house to hang out (which is more fun than being at my house). I shouldn't enjoy car rides as much as I do...I think I need to get out more often.

As far as I'm concerned my infections are going away/under control. My hand isn't swollen anymore, but my vein collapsed, and it turned hollow and hard. And it's gross because you can feel the hardness of this empty vein when you run your finger over the top of my hand...and it hurts quite a bit! I'm sure you all have a lovely picture in your head right now. I'm just waiting for it to go away, because I still can't use my left hand for certain things...like washing the dishes... You dirty people! I'm right handed anyways...hahaha

I recently finished the 3^rd book in the Twilight Series. I've been taking my time reading them compared to others who have zipped through all 4 books in a week. I mean, I am a slow reader to begin with, but I also like to enjoy the book. You know, not treat it like it's going to go bad in a week if I don't flip every page of every book. I mean, come on!

=DropByDropProject has something really fancy coming up soon, so keep an eye on that candy!

Hopefully I'll be able to get out to do some photography soon. I'm getting antsy to use my camera. There's also some models that I have lined up for when I'm better/able to shoot. So I'm looking forward to that.

Oh! Adam set me up with a WoW character on one of his accounts, since he plays all the time and I just watch, he decided it was time to set me up with my own character so I can play with him. I can't run WoW on my Powerbook, so I just play at his house for now. It's...interesting. I still don't understand a lot of things, but I guess it'll be an adventure and something we can do together. I'll try to get a screenshot of my character. All I know is that I'm an elf, a death knight somethingorother and I'm at level 56? I have no idea, nor do I care at this moment in time.

So I think that's it for an update. Nothing too exciting has happened lately. I watched Step Brothers and Wall-E last night, great movies. It's good to laugh. Here are some deviations from my devWatch that I think are worthy for a feature.

The one is from the lovely =kat1e-. She also sent me a christmas card, which sat on my bedside table while I was in the hospital. Thank you dear, it cheered me up very much! :heart

I also got a fella while he was on sale back in dA. He also was my snuggly while I was in the hospital, so thanks dA for making something so cuddly. He's pretty awesome

On another note, I'm now back home...for good. I have medication to treat my infections from home, where I should have stayed since yesterday's incident. My body fought with me hard today while I was out at the doctors and I'm listening now...i swear. On a good note, I can lay flat on my back now! Hooray!

So I'm going to have to start prepping for my move soon. I need to look into renting a house for everyone and at jobs once I get down there...oh yeah. I'm moving to Alberta in April with Adam and a few of his friends and his brother. The jobs out there are booming and there are jobs more in what Adam's field is. It's going to be a huge change, and yeah, I'll admit, I'm scared shitless...but it's time for something new and exciting. Don't even start to say my hospital visits are exciting...I'll smack you! There's definitely not new...

So yeah, that's my update. I'm still offering a print from my shop for someone who catches my 50,000 pageview. Just thought I'd mention that.

One less Organ in my Body EDIT: Back to the...

01.Health (edit)

bear with me, im typing with one hand. was rushed back to the hospital at 7am due to a 101F fever and my left hand swelling where i had my iv while i was in the hospital. turns out i have a blood infection from my iv site and a bladder infection (dont know how i got that one). i got 1 dose of medicine while i was there and i have to go back tomorrow to get another dose. so now i have my left arm/hand in a sling and a iv in my right hand that is wrapped with gause so they dont have to try to find a working vien again. Sigh.

my company(adam) last night was interesting. im in a lot more pain than i thought and cant even lay flat on my back due to the gas from my surgery since its trapped in my right shoulder and i can only get rid of it by burping and...farting. i'm such a lady.

i seriously dont know what id do without adam by my side. he helped me get somewhat comfortable last night and noticed i had a fever this morning and took me to the hospital and stayed with me the entire time. he's my superman. my mom is paying him back with a lasagna dinner tonight too! haha

My ERCP surgery went swell. Nothing wrong apparently...that's just the beginning though.

02.Oh, Gallbladder

So Saturday Night...morning actually. It was about 1am, and I was out to "dinner" with Adam...next thing you know I'm being rushed to the hospital.

I just got back from spending another week in the hospital...yeah, I'm not too thrilled myself. I'm greasy and hungry. It's been 7 days since I've had anything to eat! But hey! I had emergency surgery to remove my gallbladder and now I have one less organ in my body.

Now I'm in pain and I'm recovering at home thanks to my doctor discharging my this afternoon. I'm seriously starting to get sick of that hospital..and my health problems. Apparently there were a couple marks on my gallbladder, which hopefully was what was causing me my pain. Now let's hope I don't have to go back...

03. What happened?

To those betatester pages? I had it on when I went to the hospital, but when I come back, it's deactivated? I'll check it out tomorrow I guess. I'm having company tonight

04. Back to normal

I'll be active by the end of this week again. So just be patient.

01.Health

My ERCP Surgery was postponed until this Friday. I'm trying my best not to be nervous about it, but I'm keeping my hopes up. I haven't been doing that well though, so I'm looking forward to the surgery as well.

02.College Hiatus

2nd semester officially started up on Tuesday, however, I've had to make a pretty important decision for the circumstances I'm facing right now. I've decided to drop my 2nd semester completely and try to focus on getting better. This surgery won't make me feel 100% better and it could be months because I'm back on my feet properly. I've been stressing about school since I was first admitted to the hospital back in November and it's time that I start taking advice from others and stop being so damn stubborn.

After I'm better, I'll apply back to college and get going with my studies again. I'm actually wanting to major in Business Sales & Marketing so I can have the knowledge on how to open and run my own business.

03.Drop By Drop Project

I've finally started on the 2nd book from the Twilight Series. I'm about 200 pages in so far and I'm not that impressed with how Edward is, but I'm sure he'll smarten up sooner or later...or else he'll have to deal with me!

  So I've been browsing around and testing some journal CSS out. I'm having a hard time finding a CSS Layout that really appeals to me, but I think I found "the one". I know a lot of people use this, but it's a damn good design!

  So I flew in this morning at 7:15am....
  
  Life and Such

  School
  So I had 2 big tests this week and 1 last week. I got 100% on one, 80% on another and I'm waiting for my results from the third.
  
  It won't be long before I'm back in test mode though; I have at least 1 - maybe 2 test next week, so I'm going to be doing a lot of studying this weekend.
  
  I also have 2 papers that are due within the next 10-15 days, so I'll get cracking on those.
  
  Life
  I guess things are going alright. I'm just getting over my cold now. It progressed from my nose to my throat in under 12 hours, which definitely was not cool.
  
  As I already stated, I was in Maryland last weekend (Saturday - Monday) and I'm leaving again for this weekend on Friday at 6:10am and will be returning Tuesday morning.
  
  I get to fly to BWI with one of my friends that I went to college with last year though. She's headed to Virginia, but we decided to catch the same flight. I haven't seen her since June, so I'm excited to see her. She's coming to my place tomorrow afternoon and staying until we leave on Friday.
  
  I've spent most of my evening in the hospital with my dad. Around 6pm he started having a kidney stone attack. Around 8pm he finally let me take him to the hospital. He's been in a lot of pain but he's finally on medication to help subdue it. I'm just worried about him :worried:

  So things are good, my weekend was filled with a party, homework and studying for lots of things that occurred today, so therefore I am back!

  It's `bellchild's birthday too. She's finally legal
  
  I might have some exciting news in regards to my photography, but we'll have to see. I'll find out soon I'm sure. but until then, it's not being disclosed as to what's going on.
  
  I booked my ticket to Maryland for my thanksgiving holiday, which is in 18 days! I can't wait to see Elliott. I miss him very much.

  So I started at a new college last week and things are going pretty well.
  
  I'm at Niagara College and taking the General Arts and Science program which will help me get into University down the road. It's a 2 year program and will get me a nice shiny diploma to go next to that certificate I have.
  
  I'm taking the following courses:
  
  Intro to Sociology
  Intro to Psychology
  Intro to Philosophy
  Western Civilization History
  Principles and Research Development
  English with a concentration in Philosophy
  
  So I'm definitely keeping busy with writing papers, reading articles/textbooks, and online discussion boards.
  
  I am around most evenings though and sometimes during the day (but I'm probably at school). I'm also actively hitting the gym 3-5 times a week and hope to have a smokin' hot body by the Christmas Holidays.
  
  I've made a few new friends and I'm really filling my brain with a lot of information, so I might ramble on about a few things that I've learned from time to time.
  
  =RandomDeviation is getting a new look. =arthaus and myself have been battling it out with CSS and designs, so expect a new feature soon with the awesome CSS we've come up with.
  
  My subscription runs out on the 13th. Anyone willing to throw a month or two my way? I'm a broke college student, so I thought I'd try

  So I got back into Canada on August 24th after spending a wonderful 3 weeks and 3 days with `Zeros-Elipticus.
  
  It's nice to be in a slower paced schedule, since we were going non stop for about 2 weeks with the road trip and all.
  
  I've been working since I got home and prepping for school to start next week. I have orientation on Tuesday and classes start on Wednesday.
  
  Besides working, I've been relaxing and working out. I also found my old Toshiba Satellite 1900 and have started playing Roller Coaster Tycoon again. I love it. Srsly!
  
  Elliott helped me set up a new server and hosting for my website, so expect that to be taking a launch very soon. I just a design I like and a designer!
  
  I finally unpacked my suitcases and I'm going to rearrange my room so I can have a (very) small studio and office in here.
  
  I also got a new phone and I love it very much. Before I was using a phone that was made in 2000 . It was my cheese block, haha. I must say I feel a lot cooler now. 8)
  
  As for that, I'll probably update later this week on how my classes are, etc.

  I'm leaving for the airport in about 2 hours.
  
  I've had such a wonderful time with Elliott. I am really glad I got to spend 3 weeks and 3 days with him. We also had a wonderful time on our Road Trip together.
  
  Elliott's helping me set up my website now. So I will be working on that when I get home.
  
  I have 1 more week until I start my 2nd year of college. I'll be starting at a new college and a new program, so I'm nervous but I'm really looking forward to it.
  
  Photos from our road trip will appear shortly. I really would like to get them up both on here and facebook. I'll make sure to post a journal in regards to some of our favourite thumbs and links to facebook if you're on it.
  
  =RandomDeviation will be starting up again full throttle when I return home tonight. I'm still looking for help with the project, so don't hesitate to send me a message.

  We made it back to Maryland

  and then I'm going back to Canada.

  The wedding was very very wonderful.
  Lisa's new father-in-law is very fascinated with Canadians and the land of Canada, so I was super glad I could make it.
  
  After the wedding, we went to the rodeo. Yes, the rodeo.
  =Nex9k9 bought an awesome cowboy hat. It suits him well.
  
  Then we drove to Austin, TX and wandered the streets and ate amazing ice cream from Amy's Ice Cream. Then we did an impossible crossword thanks to The Onion.
  
  Oh, =smoking-mirrors decided to hang out with us. At first, it seemed like she didn't want to, but then she got used to our craziness and came back to the hotel with us after showing us this amazing movie store with a HUGE porn rental section. We probably spent more time in that section than all the others in the store
  
  We took =Nex9k9 out to IHOP this afternoon for "breakfast" after waking up rather...late. We ended up leaving an $11 tip because =Nex9k9 doesn't like $1 bills. I'm sure our waitress loved it.
  
  We then said goodbye to James. It was rather sad as we've been spending almost every moment with him for the past 5 days. We had an awesome time with him and it was really good to see him again!
  
  We drove for 5 hours and made it to Lake Charles, Louisiana before midnight. We're off to Chickasaw, Alabama tomorrow. We also filled up on gas for $3.33/gallon. That's the cheapest we've seen it so far.
  
  We should be back in Maryland by Friday though, which is good because it was ~SadisticMuffins's birthday Yesterday and she's having a party on Saturday!
  
  We've taken over 800 pictures so far from our trip, so I'll make sure to post some asap when we get home.

  So we made it and we're tired.
  
  We did spend most of the day in Little Rock though at the William J. Clinton Presidential Museum and Library. It was really neat and we learned a whole lot about President Clinton.
  
  We then ate wonderful Sushi downtown and proceeded on our last leg of our journey to Texas.
  
  Let's just say, it's getting hotter....
  
  =Nex9k9 is checked into the same hotel as us and we'll check on him tomorrow. He's probably tired from his flight and we didn't want to bother him too much. Funny thing is, he's exactly 1 floor above us. We're excited to see him though, it's been over a year now since we've seen him last!
  
  On that note of excitement, I'm going to get some rest!

  So we're in Memphis, TN tonight. We've hit all 3 major cities here in Tennessee and we're moving onto Little Rock, Arkansas tomorrow.
  
  We've been taking plenty of photos and even caught the end of an Elvis impersonation show tonight at the Hard Rock Cafe here in downtown Memphis. It was pretty cool!
  
  Anyways, only 2 more days till we reach Texas and the weather is getting hotter and hotter the closer we get!

  We're having a blast so far and we've been doing a lot of driving as well.
  
  We did go to the Knoxville Zoo today. I didn't take any pictures though because I need batteries for my camera.
  
  We're gunna get them ASAP though so we can start being a hardcore tourists.

  I've been doing hitting that random deviation button a little more often and wanted to start doing features, so here it goes!

  It ended up I had to make an emergency trip to Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus since I couldn't keep even water down. They pumped me full of Compazine, Benadryl and Pepcid. After that I was feeling a lot better.
  
  I was feeling a little better in the morning and then we went to the Honda Goldwing Draw at the Honda Assembly Plant. My dad was hoping to win, but didn't.
  
  We ended up driving home right after the drawing and I slept a lot. But we're home now so everything is good.

  Last night we also went to the Light Parade that the Honda HomeComing put on. Basically the motorcycles had LED lights, rope lighting, you name it. If it lit up, it was on the bike. There we're 1,072 bikes in the parade! It was insane!
  
  We also had a tour of the Honda Motorcycle Assembly plant. This is the last year for the Honda HomeComing since they're shutting down the motorcycle assembly plant. We got to see how the engines were assembled and basically how they put everything together. On average they pump out 120 bikes a day, from start to finish. It was really cool to watch and learn about them.
  
  They had The Great Lakes Demonstration Team there too. They do different maneuvers and tricks within a small demonstration space. They do a lot of really tight turns at about 9 - 12 miles per hour. It's quite tricky! There were 9 bikes on the team, so you can image the difficulty of the tricks within the small space.

  So as I've mentioned in other journals, `Zeros-Elipticus and I are going to be road tripping it down to Texas early August in order to help ~~crash~~ celebrate *jamaisXvu's wedding.
  
  Since I'm leaving for Maryland in about 13 days, I thought I'd get cracking on planning this sucka of a trip!
  
  From Maryland to Texas, we'll be stopping in:

  Knoxville, TN
  Nashville, TN
  Memphis, TN
  Little Rock, AR
  Mesquite, TX
  
  From Texas to Maryland, we'll be stopping in:

  Fredericksburg, VA
  
  These cities aren't 100% confirmed yet, but it gives us a pretty basic layout of where we'll be. Times aren't confirmed yet and there's been some jibber jabber of taking another mini-road trip to Austin, Texas with =Nex9k9 to meet up with some Texan deviants.
  
  I'm pretty excited to say none the least! It might be possible to meet up with deviants along the way, so if we're going to be crossing paths, hit me up with a note and we'll try to get together!
