I know I've been away for a long period of time, but life just kept happening to me. I have a bazillion deviations to go through as you can imagine, so please be patient with me. I haven't been taking many pictures as of late either, I plan on fixing that asap!
I have a new 75 gallon saltwater aquarium. That's definatly a muse for some new cool pics along with Spring of course.

I will also get back to my contest in the near future. I will send out a news article in plenty of time to come up with some creative ideas for everyone. If you have something you would like to see in a contest, please let me know.

Hello all my dear friends and watchers!

I know I have been outta the loop here for a bit and I wanted to let you all know what going on. My husband expected us to relocate to the Columbus area last spring, so we moved to a suburb up here and he has yet to sell the business. This economy is really somethin' man.

So, we are now moving right back where we came from and hour and a half south of here.
Moving back is really fine with me. I think the people and the area are much nicer back home anyway. It's just the moving expenses...everyone knows that sucks! I have been so busy with everything I haven't had a moment to update my journal or even take any pictures in way too long.
I hope you all are still watching. I will be a lot more plugged in here in the very near future. I miss it so much...it's just life happened. Threw me another curve ball that suppose to make me stronger, or more well rounded, or some fortune cookie crap like that.

PEACE MAP PROJECT
The Peace Map Project also known as P.M.P is a graphic Project aiming in creating a world map made by graphists, kids, designers, artists, architects anyone can participate based on a common theme : PEACE. It's offical outcoming will be annual World Peace day on the 21st of september 2008. The idea is to get people to participate and collaborate by drawing a piece of the world, by drawing inside a country around a common theme "PEACE" and sticking the puzzle back together again. Take the outline of a geographical area and build the design inside that limit.
The P.M.P is the first of a whole bunch of collaborative map projects.

Hi everyone! First I want to thank all of my friends here on DA that have entertained me ranting and raving about my sadness and confusion in this world here lately.
I have been going through something since I have only seen my husband 12 times the entire summer. I guess sadness has consumed me a little more than I realized. I'm not trying to be a headcase, it's just sometimes I feel like venting a little here in a creative forum.
Either way, I thank you all again for being patient with me. Thank you so much for all of your notes, comments, s and s through this time in my life.
Secondly, my camera is broken...
I'm sending it off to Canon to try to repair the memory card reader. It's saying my card is locked no matter what I do. The guy at the camera store was too. It's not the card cause it worked just fine in another camera he had, so off to the Dr. it goes. Hi everyone!
I'm officially here in Grove City now, and all I can see are boxes, boxes, everywhere! I had to make a trip down on Thursday and then complete the move on Friday. So between driving and loading, then unloading and unpacking...needless to say, I'm exhausted! I know I'm late with my feature this week, but I hope you can all understand. This move is a pain in my ... neck.
So, here we go, I have internet and very little time, but I want to do my weekly feature. If you'll respond to my journal with the three deviations of your choice, I will be happy to feature you sometime tomorrow!

I can't believe what just happened to me!!! As you all know I am cleaning up and packing a truck this week, and so are my neighbors. I live in a duplex and strangely enough we are moving out within a week of one another. Anyway, the people cleaning out my neighbors house, just left the garage doors open when they went to lunch. NO I DIDN"T TAKE ANYTHING!!! LOL
I called my landlord to ask permission before taking anything!
She said they we're throwing all this stuff away (which I already knew, and is why I called) and to take anything there I wanted. Most of it was trash and junk they left behind mind you, but there sat a 27" Zenith TV, perfect for my son's room and works just fine. Then, I saw the entertainment system that went with that size TV just sitting there as well!!! Now that's a pretty good day if you ask me, but WAIT...there's more.
As, I am leaving to come back home I look down and there sits a very long old box in a trash bag. Curious ofcourse I had to look! There in that box sat about 500 mint condition comic books!!!!!!
Spiderman, Gumby, Mortal Kombat, X-MEN, G.I. Joe, Rocketeer, on and on.
Holy shit I wonder how much this is worth? I feel like I just hit the lottery! Glad I had permission to take whatever I wanted...it's just trash anyway.

Ok, all my wonderful watchers out there...I have been featuring everyone who responds to my journals every week for a while now and I have been the ones picking the pictures.

Random Fact #1
I'm adopted and think it was the greatest blessing I could have ever received. Although it's hard wondering about things sometimes (not going into detail), my mom and dad(God rest is soul) are angels from above and I have had a very blessed life. Raised in Wichita Falls, Tx however, was not so much of a blessing. A decent sized town, but just small enough to have rampid gossip of very bored teenagers. High school was so bad for me, it has effected me as an adult.
Random Fact #2
I use to sing in a rock and roll band in Deep Ellum in Dallas, Tx. We were called the "Lost Camels" All because my drummer couldn't find his smokes one night. We opened for "Trippin Daisy", "Letter From Ezra", and drum roll please, "Pearl Jam" on one occasion at "Trees". Still love my music!
Random Fact #3
I'm an addict. My flavor of choice was prescription medication. Oxycotin, Soma, V's, Fentanyl, the list goes on and on. I am recovoring though, 3 years now...and with no rehab!!! Just shows how quickly things can get out of control under a "Dr.'s Supervision".
In my teenage years the drug of choice was acid. Whoa did I use to trip Man! 1 on Monday, 2 on Tuesday, etc. Loved that "White Blotter" and not that I'm prejudice, but the "Grateful Dead White Blotter" was definatley the most psychedelic!

I'm divorced and remarried. I had 3 children with my practice husband and I am raising them with my soulmate. They are 7,10, and 12. Yes, I know, a pre-teen. Start prayin for me now!

I posted a news article with this link, but I also wanted to post it here. I have seen some terrible things in my life regaurding animal abuse, but this ranks right up there at the top of the list. I know it is Wednesday, and I'm not trying to damper anyones surge to get through the week with this, but just because we pretend like it is not there, doesn't mean it is not happening. I have also started a myspace page to create awareness and for those of you who are proud pet owners to post your pics to share with everyone. I said in my last journal I was going to post the first 5 people who responded on Saturday, however, my response was imediate, so I'll post a day early!!! (It's Friday evening after all )Thank you to all who responded and to those who were just a little late...I'll run another one ofthese again soon! I only chose 3 deviations, although it was difficult to chose, as all of your galleries are fantasic!
I'm taking I'sis back to the vet on Tuesday to get that horrible cone off of her head. She's had it on for almost 2 weeks now after her ear crop. It's bothering me more than it her! Next, it's time to post up those ears and after all of that...I'll submit more deviations for all of you who have fallen in cyber love with her to see! She about to look like a "real" little dobbie again!
One last thing... this past week was extremely hard on me as most of you know. Loosing a friend who has shared almost half of your life on this planet with you is never easy. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for supporting me and talking me through this. The here is just fantastic. I feel better now, though it's still going to take some more time. My head is up and my eyes are finally dry, both from self preservation and encouraging words from my friends here on DA!!!

Seems like a lot of people are needing to vent today. I don't know what's going on but, the universe seems to be out of cosmic alignment or something. My "best friend" of 14 years just threw our "friendship" in the toliet from the porcelain throne on which she sits last night. I'm so tired of caring about people more than they care about me. I'm tired of loving blindly. I'm tired of trusting anyone. "If I never would have loved, I never would have cried. I am a rock, I am an island" Perfect song lyrics for this situation. I thought friends were suppose to be able to tell their feelings to each other without the threat of loosing the friendship? Now I know why I've limited my friends so much over the years. I guess I just needed a reminder. OH!!! and the icing on the cake, her myspace says she feels a weight has been lifted, she's rejuvenated. What a sad time in my life.

This has been a crazy week with the kids out of school. I wish we'd had warmer weather to get outside for some better shots. Being inside has given me more time to find new friends here on DA and find some really great work! Our Trippy Snowman

We had a wonderful Sunday looking at all the freshly fallen snow! My daughter and I went for a walk down by the our favorite river today and got some wonderful pictures as well as having a wonderful time! I know I have submitted a lot of deviations in the past two days and I appreciate all of you being kind enough to take a look at them. I hope to be getting better as the weeks go by here and I always appreciate everyone's feedback! I hope you all had a Grateful weekend!

I did get out and grabbed some shots this weekend, after an obscene amount of cold and flu medication! We definately got some snow dropped on us! All in two days too! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I'm feeling much better now, so I'm off to the store and maybe to play around outside a little bit. Have A Grateful Day!

The weather has been teasing us with just a little snow off and on all winter. Finally, in March we get 10" and it's still snowing! As a snow lover I'm in a white bliss! Especially since it decided to dump the snow on the weekend, not during the week! I hope to get out and grab some shots, but, considering the windchill is in the teen's, I may have to wait a bit to grab anything worth submitting. I'm also fighting the flu at the moment, so my body is really not going to like the cold weather! Why I had to get sick on the biggest snow of the winter, I'll never know. Just keep dosing up on meds I guess, I'm not letting this one get away from me. It's absolutely beautiful outside! I hope everyone is having a Grateful weekend, and I'll submit more "snow shots" when I get them.

I have noticed that a lot of times when you go out for that perfect shot you are hoping to capture...the ones that are found in the moment, unplaned, and unexpected are a lot of times the ones that turn out to be the most special. So, I thought today instead of going out with the attitude that I want to find the perfect place to take the perfect picture...I'm just goin for a walk, just up my street, and see what I can find. I may turn up with nothing, but the unexpected is exactly what I'm looking for. Just something to keep me busy today and hopefully I'll come back with something for you to enjoy as well!
