Well, though I've been updating my art, I haven't updated this in a VERY long time.

Even though I was just obviously in a fuzzy phase because of all the mice and animals, hehe, I'm trying to do other stuffs. Hopefully being back at Contemp will help.
On Saturday I met and worked with Janaina Tschape with all my other NAN friendies. She's a wonderfully imaginative, lovely artist whom I related to very well. She's very interested in fantastical creatures of her mind and loves nature. She = le cool. Here's her site: [link]

I'm working on a self-portrait currently, and a short story is in the works. Maybe sometime if I think about it I'll get the rest of the writing I did over the summer up here.... uh, yeah right, scruffy. You're so lazy.

Maybe there will be more water rats, too. We'll have to see about that.

I have an art class second semester, so then we can bet I'll be doing more. I'm actually taking a computer illustrations class right now, so whenever I finish a project from there I'll try to get it up on here. Nothing special, I can tell you that.

I'm submitting another Tango Man right after I finish this journal, though. And, speaking of him, Steve, don't freak out. I'm just really obsessed with Tango Man. Tell me why???? Because soon he's gonna go crazy and take over my mind. I'm starting on ANOTHER after I get off the internet, too. I'm infatuated or something! Argh

I hit the jackpot this year with my friends. See, having your birthday right near Christmas means to relatives that they can only get you one gift and say it suffices for both occasions... Luckily they didn't this year. And my friends went all out. I had a gazbillion 'thank-you' cards to write and I spent two and a half hours on four alone (sometimes it hurts to be an artist...drawing your own cards is a pain sometimes)...
But I raked it in nonetheless.
I received Jak3, which, in my opinion, is nowhere nearly as great as the second Jak game. C'mon, I loved punching one Krimzon guard and having the whole brigade chase you down... and what with the new force in Jak3 and the war, no one paid any attention to trouble-making.
My sister and I beat it in about 5 days flat, too. I felt like we received too many tedious tasks that didn't really come off as important. I mean, YES we were saving the world but it certainly didn't feel like it. I wth with the Precursors being Ottsels???!?! I JUST KNEW that Dax didn't turn into an orange fuzzy thing for no reason!

I also have Lord of the Rings The Third Age now, too. Man, and do I LOATHE RPGs... I prefer action RPGs, like the trilogy games. And the freaking Uruk-Hai in Emnet are downright cheaters.... But I am enjoying running all over the whole darn Middle Earth... I think...?

Anyway, I need to retire and start drawing my other Tango Man. Watch out, it will be sexy.....

Sorry that I've been so slow on updates. I haven't had much time to draw, and what I -have- drawn I haven't finished.... 6.6

Despite all of the h/w and random things going on like Jazz Band and art group meetings.... I have things that I'd like to work on.
One, namely Edward Scissorhands... He's so cool!~ Especially his uber cool leather outfit, lol.
Also, in religion class we watched Godspell because we were reading the Gospel of Matthew, and I became obsessed. I admit, I'm not the most religious person ever but I love that movie!!! And Victor Garber is such a cool Jesus. For some reason I really like Tebelek's version of Jesus. Primarily the Superman shirt he wears the whole time, lol!
So I'd like to get around to drawing the Godspell Jesus. I think I'll have problems with his hair, though. If you've seen it, you know what I mean.

It's the return of the Tomagatchis!!!! Omg I can't believe they're back. And the new ones can talk to each other. I dug out my old school one from 4th grade, haha. It still works and is quite alive. I also found my Giga Pet Digital Doggie, which my little sister has adopted. Save for the fact that she didn't realize she was feeding the dog its treats instead of its kibbles all of the time, I think she's learning well.... lol. So it kept dying over and over again. The little doggie with the angel wings...

I think I might do another kiriban. Someone give me a number to do. ...

Omg. I'm re-in love with Jasper (pronounced 'Yasper') Steverlinck's voice. Whoo can that boy sing. He's the singer from Arid, a band from Belgium. His voice is crazy-sexy... and I kinda wanna draw him but I can't find any good pics of him... I'm working on a character whose personality I'm drawing from two of Arid's songs... "Little Things of Poison" and "Dearly Departed." Great songs!

I got news that I might have an offer to illustrate a children's book! OMFG how sahweet would that be???!?!?!!!!?!? My friend's mom is an illustrator but mainly does room decor, and a friend of HERS works with special ed children and is revising a book about manners (ie, "This is the FUN way to sit, but this is the PROPER way to sit"). It has photographs but now she wants illustrations, and since MOST adults aren't very aware of anime or anything related to it, my friend's mom thought of me 'cos she says I have a "very unique style."


So I'm waiting for this lady to call me > _>

This also means I'll have to work on chibis, since I'll be drawing for a young "audience." Does anyone know where I can find good reference or maybe even a tutorial or two on chibis??? THANKS!

Just finished watchign Moon Child! Can't say Gackt is the best actor in the world but he sure makes for good viewing! Plus, HYDE rocks my socks as a vampire. I just want to hug him!!! Mwuahahahhaah. Okay movie all together. Kinda random sequence of events, but hey, when you've got a vampire running around and like three gangs who keep forgetting who their members belong to, it gets messy. Well this week shall be interesting.

First off, I'm seeing The Crucible tomorrow in a local production, and half my school pronounces it "Crooshible." Imbeciles.

Secondly, I have three projects due in the course of one week, and one is a Powerpoint and my version of it SUCKS.

Thirdly, this week I have three field hockey games, and next week I have four, all in a row. Argh.

I'm trying to get something decent out for ya'll. I've almost finished that drawing of my Halloween outfit ^_^
I started working on a piccie inspired by The White Stripes' Girl, You Have No Faith In Medicine song.

The theme is Gangsta's Paradise so I'm wearing this dress I have that I stole from my older cousin-- she wore it in the 70s!!! Yay! And I have long black evening gloves to go with and "bling bling." It'll be great.
I also messed around with makeup for my Halloween costume. Wait till ya'll see what I'm doing to my face. Jen, you'll love it! It's an almost-Egyptian design that takes over my face.... ^o^
Plus, I got my hair cut! OMG I love it!!! Just wait till I get a sketch of my makeup and hair loaded. It'll rock everyone's socks off.
My school also started an Anime club. I'm unofficially the elected illustrator.... whoops >_<

Went apple-picking today ^__^. That certainly was fun. Except, apple trees aren't very good for climbing... so I had to settle for the apples near the bottom branches. Though, I did manage to pummel some down with other apples

hey, ya'll. havin' a good weekend?

well, 'tis an end of a long week. had the first of a year-long group of art classes... yeah, you know, coyote. *wink*
that was fun. a couple of us from last year came back, and a few new people joined, too. i'm excited cos this year we get to work with photography, and i've never really gotten a good chance to buckle down and take a shot at it, though i love photography itself.
went to see Jin Roh at a local japanese festival chunche and their dvd player is way screwy so it had to be stopped about a fourth of the way through
that sucked, but i bought The Demon Ororon volume 1. it's kinda a fun manga ^__^
shiro and kuro are so cyute!
i realized the other day, though, in manga, that there are so many boy-boy relationships, but no girl-girl ones. ????

mmmm. life is getting busier and busier.
field hockey started to day and we did running and jogging for a straight hour! argh. but it felt good, actually. weird

OMG! that 500hits pic is so terrible! sorry! i just couldn't draw last night and it ended up like that... first nekko-like thingie (or w/e) i've drawn in a long time...yeah, that's me, btw. geez. my hair's so unruly now - i'm growing it back out into my 70's shag now!

another omg, work is over! see, my work program only lasted six weeks, so now it's finished that school is so soon... sheesh. i was in this program last year, and we work with professional local artists, and i was, as you might say, artist's pet last year... i was one of the few in my group who was there for the art and not ONLY the money... but that's always good, right?
but see, my instructor from last year was also there this year and now he's trying to hook me up with his son... i'm not kidding - he just casually asked one day if i was available. i totally didn't expect that and said 'yeah' thinking he meant like i had nothing to do at the moment...whoops.
but, i'm not interested in dating...why would i be? idk... i'm just not, and with school starting soon, WHO HAS TIME?! :sigh:

i guess i gotta worry about school now.. plus, soph orientation and taking my little sister around school. i'm thinking i should maybe hook up with her and have lunch or something before school actually starts for fun.
omg, life is going to be so busy this fall - I HAVE NO FREE PERIODS FIRST QUARTER! AGH!
at least i've filled them up with PE credits... that way i won't have to do them during senior year when that rolls around... meaning i'll have tons of free time for off-campus running around.

needless to say, i'm trying to do a design on amphetamine annie-dog herself, and i think the reference is turning out nicely. though, i can't say i completely understand the damn song at all

i was out of town for saturday and most of today...
sat. we were at my guy friend's house... his parentals always throw this enormous 4th partay and there's always tons of ppl.
he's a year younger than me, but so strange....
tell me, everyone, WHY THE HELL BOYS HAVE THONGS!?!?!?! I Am NOT KIDDING! HE HAS LIKE FOUR AND ACTUALLY WEARS THEM!
i am scarred for life... his friends somehow found them while i was there and decided to prance around with nothing on but the thongs (and they had little hearts printed on them...) in the middle of his living room... agh. my poor eyes....

that was lovely...

apparently this year ppl aren't interested in fireworks - they want bombs.
at the party yesterday, they had these things that they called bombs and sure as hell sounded like them. the guy who brought them said "Fire in the hole!" and i wasn't really paying any attention and then BOOOOOM!
i swear the ground rattled and i felt like something hit me in the face... i don't see why this was so entertaining... must be a man-thing, that big bangs are cool..?

there was also this kid there who must have been at least 14 running around in everything from Etnies... everything but his pants... they were from Dickies... but, he had an Etnies cap, Etnies shirt, Etnies shoes, Etnies backpack!!! argh, he was weird.

man, i need sleep. i start a field hockey camp tomorrow...

anywayz! i'm finally workin on a good fanart of Cirque du Soleil. yes, finally. i haven't been able to get anything i've done so far to come out right...
the one that i'm finishing up is of Vladimir Ignatenkov, as seen is Varekai. ah yes, if you have ever talked Cirque with me at all, you'll certainly know that Varekai is my favourite! anywayz once again! this weekend, as you know, i was volunteering at a camp. i suppose i could say that nothing exciting happened. till i got home. let's say there was a 150 dollars waiting on my message machine...

seems an old art teacher had entered this contour i had done once in her class in a local art show. and i won a 150 bucks. the irony, though, is that i HATE that sketch. i mean, it doesn't even fit on the damn page. the ink is smeared, and theres an enormous unidetified finger print on it. and yet, in the fall, it was also accepted into an art show at a college nearby and here it's winning me money...?
