Cpvr, owner of VirtualPetList.com, has decided to call an all-out, one-man attack against Subeta.

Why?

Because he asked* Keith for some free Gold Account badges for a VPL contest, and Keith declined.

This has provoked such nasty behavior as slagging Subeta for daring to pay its staff, demanding to know exactly how much said staff makes, and picking apart things that just weeks ago were considered points of high praise by the owner of the VPL website, a forum made for discussion of Online Petsites, both under construction, up-and-coming and longstanding, as well as a resource for site designers, programmers and artists to find work.

The attack has taken place within threads and blogs hosted on VPL as well as on Twitter and even offsite, threatening to "expose Subeta" in retaliation for its unforgivable slight against cpvr and his contest.

It should be noted that cpvr himself has stated that flaming petsites and their owners is not allowed on his website, and has quoted this rule out several times in the very thread he does so, himself, in.

Clearly, it is a case of do as I say, not as I do.

This man who has claimed for so long to be for petsites that give their employees fair compensation for their work is now attacking us on the grounds that we pay our workers with money fairly and rightfully earned, because we denied him something (items worth $2.50 apiece!) for free.

This is far from the sort of mindset programmers and artists need and deserve to strengthen the petsite community and industry!

And in two days, I'll be taking my first geckos under my wing.
I could get used to this, really-- it's been a lot of fun, and I'm learning a lot at the same time. :)





I'm still getting settled into my new place, but today marks our second week here, and it's starting to look and feel more and more like home all the time. :)

Things really, really are looking up.

In a month, I'll be moving into a new apartment in a beautiful little campus, and once I've settled in, I'm going to open the Silent Rose shop on Etsy and start selling charms and little figurines in small batches.

Work is the best it's ever been, and I anticipate it getting better! Agoge is really growing as a company, and when I think back to where we were at the beginning of last June... it's an absolutely amazing feeling knowing we've all come so far.

I'm excited to see what life has in store for me next, and I hope all of you can say the same for yourselves! :)

For those of you who were concerned about Valenth being a tart the past week, it seems to have overcome its sudden malady.

No, really. Even Keith isn't sure what happened there; it fixed itself while he was out skiing. Go figure!

At the moment, I'm working on an ongoing project to revamp the Lore section and update it with a ton of new articles. I'm still going to exclude information on things that need certain plots to open up first, but there aught to be enough so everyone can get a much better feel for the world.

I'm looking at having all that completed and released sometime this week, with any luck.

I finished a whole slew of icons today for Subeta's forums to go along with their rearrangement. Who knew drawing tiny disembodied heads could be so much fun?

At the moment, it'll give you access to faction-only forums... but there's lots, lots more to come with that.

Hello to everyone joining me from my old DA account. :)

I've been here for about a year or so; quite a lot has changed between then and now, the biggest of which is my adoptables site, Valenth, which I now run with Keith.
(I still work at Subeta; this is a side-project of ours!)

My hands are definitely full, but it's in a very good way (and sore; I've spent all day painting front page art for Valenth today... ow!), and I'm hoping for lots more great things to come this year.

In other news, I just finished putting together this fun little site for my Valenthian species that I've been recreating in Spore. Make sure you're allowing popup windows when you look at it; it's a simple design, so all the links that aren't offsite make small front windows. :)

At long last--I've returned to the Adoptables scene, with uberuberuberuberuber thanks to my best friend and boss, Keith. :D


This is Valenth; a grow-your-own adoptables site with a storyline. It's still in the very early stages, and in fact was released a little early since Keith couldn't keep his mouth shut about it.

And more importantly, I have thin mints and peppermint schnapps, and working for Subeta (or more specifically, working for Keith)has been putting a smile on my face lately.

Today my sister, one of my brothers and I went out and bought my mum a new laptop together. She's been using my oldoldold desktop computer (the second computer I've EVER owned, and I've been using them since I was...10?) since I got my most recent desktop at high school graduation.

It was her christmas present--we'd had the whole thing planned for a bit.


At any rate--what more could a genetic strand ask of life?

(Except now I've overdosed on peppermint. Ah well, it could've been something less pleasantly-scented.)
