I know it's been a very long time since my last update, and I know I have promised (countless times) that I would post more art. And I know I promised to update a massive update once school had let out.

Believe me, I would have done that.
...had something very unfortunate not occurred.

The very next day (night actually) after my previous entry (June 1), I lost someone very close to me (in addition to another loss I had back in May). I admit, feelings of guilt and sorrow (as well as shock) have claimed me. Sleepless nights have been a common part of my life since the incident. The remaining days of school were hell, and I spent many a class bursting into tears.

While I was at the hospital two weeks ago, some people have asked me to see a therapist or a counselor. I'm considering it, but most of me prefers talking to people that actually know me and vice versa.

She was a big sister to me, with great style and impeccable grammar. She and I had planned to get my ears pierced during the summer. My ears did get pierced on the same day we planned to do so, but it was done in her memory instead.

But enough, I don't want to be too depressing.

Remember when I said tech wouldn't take up too much of my time?
...I lied.

Many unexpected things have happened over the past few months; some good, some bad...and some bad leading to good (but most of them just bad).

Anyway, I'm just posting to let you guys know that things are getting very hectic now--so you won't be seeing any art from me for a while. Art will be posted soon; because I have been forcing myself to doodle something everyday to keep my artistic flow (kinda).

In case you guys are wondering, here's a quick run through of what's happened these past few months:

- My English teacher has disappeared; we've gone through an interesting assortment of substitutes, but now we have a permanent sub (who is not the least bit creepy *sarcastic*. He will be with us until my English teacher comes back...which is, like...not for a while).
- I was on crutches two times (and almost a third); most of my peers found it amusing, others were quite frustrated (best reaction goes to my math teacher, who cornered me and proceeded to yell at me when she saw me on crutches the second time.)
- I recently had a fever of 103 degrees (F); was not pleased--it's gone now, but I'm still a bit weak.
- Wushu is dominating my life again; tournament's in April.
- Tech has stolen most of my homework time, so I'm staying up late doing my homework. This will continue for a while.
- Classes in school are getting more and more demanding; I'm being a goody-two-shoes, so I'm working my butt off.
- Registration for next year's classes have begun; planning and back-up planning ensues.

...that's just a small list. I have lots more. LOTS more.

But, nay, those are for another time.

....I will have a life again in June. I will be gone until then.

Since some people asked, here's some info on why I've decided to open commissions again:

I've been offered a chance to pursue my dream of making it to theatre by enrolling in a program that trains triple threats (dance, sing, act). My parents aren't very supportive of the arts, and actually want me to go into the business/doctor/lawyer area.
...anyway, so I need money to pay for the program's tuition, which my parents won't pay.

I'm using some of my savings to pay for the majority of tuition cost, but since my savings is my college fund, I can't pay for the full tuition unless I open commissions again.

...so, please support an artist in need! I'll be forever thankful if you do!

Hello, all!
As you all have probably noticed, I'm not very active nowadays. The first few weeks of school have been rather hectic. Especially the first week. Full of stress. It should be better now...

Actually, right now, I'm dealing with a very hypocritical and childish mother. Like, VERY childish. And VERY hypocritical.

She tells me how I can't take criticism, and that I'm very immature.
Well, when I'm angry, do I yell and throw a tantrum? No, I don't. She does. Do I slam doors and have a bitchy attitude? No, she does. Personally, I think she's a real brat.

...you all probably I'm a total brat myself, don't you? Saying these things about my mother?
Well, it's true. I'm sure if you know her as I do, you'd agree with me. One of my closest friends does...and she's practically the polar opposite of me personality-wise. My aunt and uncle also agree that she's a very stubborn and childish person who's a total brat.
...actually, both of them called her a bitch. My uncle used that word; my aunt (and my grandmother; dad's side) described her as a hypocritical brat and a total baby.
...I've seen four year olds behave better than her.

I don't know. I think I'd compare my relationship with my mother to the one Judy Garland had with hers. Except she's not feeding me drugs. But our relationship is very rocky. Mostly because of her incredible lack of common sense and volume control.

...I really wish she'd just leave me alone.
...and I really wish she'd just learn to shut up.

But she won't, because she's a self-righteous bitch.
At least I know I'm not the only one seeing her this way...

After an incredibly long hiatus (with the exception of one crappy little upload), I've come back from my little journey.

I really miss the wonderful people that I've met on my journey. So many beautiful people...It makes me sad that I've left them all.

I would go on with more and more sappy paragraphs, but I don't think anyone would be interested. Hell, I'd probably get carried away and write pages upon pages. xD;;;

Anyway, now that I'm back, I've got some stuff to upload, mostly WIPs, so I suppose you can expect some uploads to come (assuming I don't get frustrated with any of my work while I work on them...which will result in my not-posting)

...but of course, there's always going to be something getting in the way of my posting of art...

Right now, it's school.

...yea, I know. Sucks. It's not going to start for another two weeks or so...but I still have to take care of some things before I start the next school year...

Perhaps I should begin with a small apology for my long absence/inactivity? :] (what a time to be smiling!)

I'll be honest, I have been feeling very guilty about not updating on this site, be it a journal entry or a picture...and I'm trying to find a way to make up for my constant ~~laziness~~ inactivity.

There would have been a nice WIP of my ' possibly-next-deviation-unless-I-finish-another-pic-first' pic for you all to see, but my laptop likes to mock and screw me over in my time of need (aka. the file's too big for me to access without giant lag on my laptop and I can't access the computer at the moment). I do, however, have other things to show. Including those sketches that I've owed people since...late last year! .___.||| (I'm sure many of you have forgotten already!)

It's time I gave some information on...this one.
Her name is Lune (Looh-neh). She's probably the most mary-sue of all my OC's, but...she's kinda fun to draw. X3 She's a 'cupid-in-training'...and her pet sqox [squirrel+fox=sqox] manages most of her daily life (such as playing the role of an alarm clock...poor thing).

I was babysitting some of my cousins earlier this week, and they wanted to watch a Disney movie. We were watching Beauty and the Beast when one of them told me that Belle was her favorite Disney princess and then asked me who my favorite Disney princess was. I told her to take a few guesses, so why don't you do as well?

I guess it's fair to say that I am breaking my hiatus...just for a moment though.

My grandfather (on my dad's side) passed away this morning. Apparently by the time the ambulance got to my uncle's place, his heart stopped functioning. I didn't hear the news until I came home from school a few hours ago. I attempted to do my homework, but...I dunno. I just couldn't concentrate.

I...honestly don't know what to think.
I didn't really know him that well...but with the annual family reunions, I did get to talk with him from time to time.
Although, I don't think that helps considering he is the...reticent...type. (I think I somewhat inherited that trait, considering I'm almost always in my room.)
But what I do know, is that if it weren't for him, I definitely wouldn't be the person I am I today. I feel really indebted to him, even though he and I never really communicated.

It's kind of ironic, actually...considering my grandmother had just gotten out of the hospital from her surgery.

And as for art stuff...I suppose there might be an update on Thursday or Friday...depends if I can get things done.

Hello, my little ducklings.

First of all, happy belated 2008. I do hope the new year finds you well...?

I apologize for not being on as frequently as I should.
My life has been rather hectic these days, and as a result, I don't have much free time on my hands.

There have been quite a number of issues going on, and I have yet to finish resolving them all.
I would write a whole two hundred page rant and explanation, but I just don't have the time.

I will be going on a hiatus. And from the looks of it, a fairly long one. My schedule for the rest of this month and the entire month of February is going to be very busy.
I'll try to be on once a week, just to clear out messages so I don't wind up with over 8647283945 messages...and so you all won't think I'm dead.

You won't be seeing any new art from me until the end of February (possibly mid-March). Unless some special occasion allows me to.

There will be an art dump when I come back, so maybe that's something to look forward to?

Auf Wedersehen, good bye...

I'm leaving for a skiing trip tomorrow...Road trip. Joy.
That should explain my leave/absence for the next few days, in case any of you care.

In all honesty, I'd really prefer to stay home and catch up on sleep as I've been sleep-deprived for days even though winter break started last Friday. But my mom, being...well...Mom, insisted that we all go on a vacation. My grandparents are coming along too (as long as they don't molest my arm like they tend to do every blinking time they see me, I'll be fine).

Anyway, I had a picture I intended finish up coloring to post up for the holidays...I think it's obvious how that plan came out. ><;;;
I'll try to finish it up once I get back, but I can't promise anything because as we all know, I suck at deadlines. Plus, my schedule's getting really crazy now due to upcoming events and less time to actually do things such as my homework, all of which I have slacked off on to no end.
It's shameful, really. I lack all sense of time-management, self-discipline, study skills, and common sense. (Oh, shoot, here comes another one of Liffy's study habit/school rants! Feel free to skip to the end or click the 'X' at the top right corner of your browser.)

My grades are in fact, slipping down the drain at an alarming rate. Recently I've been buckling down and doing my best to bring them up, but of course, since I lack all ability whatsoever to test well, it's really no use. I can know the material, and I can understand it. And everytime someone gives me a test, I screw it ten times over. It's horrible, especially when my grades are on the borderline to sudden death (well, not really. But it might as well be.).

I'd blame the fact that I got depressed midway through the first quarter and lost all sense of hope and determination to try harder, but there's really no point in doing so. Telling my parents and/or my teachers of my hormonal imbalance/pathetic-ness isn't going to change my grade or anything else, so saying that my apathy and depression is the cause of my horrendous grades is ridiculous and a waste of time. Hell, I'm pretty sure my history teacher would just shrug and tell me to go back to my seat...such love and support, I know.

Whatever. My history final requires me to know world geography (yes, every single country in the world. In Europe, North and South America, Africa, and Asia...)...so that's...not very fun.

My science grade is pummeling down to hell...that is, if it isn't already in hell.
It doesn't help that even though I read the textbook and ask my teacher questions, I still don't understand the material.
Wait, that just contradicted a statement a few paragraphs back. Let's back up a bit.
In science, I can understand things at the beginning of the unit. However, it seems like I suffer from some sort of amnesia that is DIRECTLY AIMED at the subject of chemistry. So every unit I understand everything...then, either halfway into the unit or a week before the test I forget every freaking thing I learned. I feel like the nucleus of an atom. Because everytime my teacher says something, it acts like an alpha particle. So basically, everything he says misses me, and if it does hit me, it bounces right off! (what a freakish, yet rather accurate, analogy!)

...so those of you who think you're doing horribly in school, don't worry. I'm doing worse. That should make you all feel MUCH better. But don't get me wrong, I'm not proud of the fact I'm not doing well in school.

As for all the sketchs I promised, I'll get to them. Unfortunately, I won't be able to work on most of them because I'll need references and I can't bring any with me >>;;.

And I'll put an art dump soon, once I get all my crap done. I'll make it big. Think of it as a 'going-to-be-really-late-Christmas present'.

...both will most likely take a while, even if they are sketches...because I've got a huge project that I need to finish by the end of the break.

Sighhhh...I really wish I had another WIP to show you guys. *useless*

...you're not getting another pic update for a while. Well, not this weekend, anyway. I've got a theater performance (more like an evaluation...I'm so nervous...I have a really bad memory so I can't exactly remember my lines very easily...

), a science quiz, and a math quiz all on Monday. So...yes. @____@;;;

Well, there's not really much of a point in why I'm writing this journal, other than this quiz I felt like doing for the hell of it (scroll down to see it) and just updating on my newest...craze (maybe it's a craze. I can't tell)?

My oldest watchers probably remember the last time I had an infatuation with the show. Haha...good times...good times...

Yea, so I had stopped watching CSI for most of the 7th season, only to watch the season finale and talk with ~Kumori-H over what would happen in the 8th season's premier episode.

Weeks later, until last weekend, when I was at my grandparents' house with nothing to do but watch TV (my grandparents have cable), I flipped to SPIKE TV while surfing the channels. It was at that time when it all came back to me

...yea, that's right. I saw the CSI opening theme.
...so I watched the episode.
...and watched the one after that.
...and then came home with a rekindled CSI flame. xDDDD

By the time I remembered when the airings for Season 8 started, I had already missed the first few airings of season 8 due to school and lack of interest...(but mostly school).

...so I was curious and wanted to see what new episodes CSI had to offer.
...and I watched the newest episode.

...AND I LOVED IT DAMMIT! D8
NEXT EPISODE IS A TWO HOUR SPECIAL AND IT'S A CROSSOVER WITH WITHOUT A TRACE!! 8'DDDDDDD
(Holy mother of gawd I want to watch it so bad!)

Oh, and apparently, Jorja Fox (aka Sara Sidle) is leaving CSI.
(I bet all the Sara and GSR fans are screaming in disbelief right now...)
SO...I guess that person (Ronnie) I saw last episode is gonna replace her? I really hope not. I like the idea of having Catherine the only female on the team...x]

Bah! So busy!
Apparently school likes my life so much it doesn't like to share it with other things like drawing and sleeping. 8D;;;

Aiyaaaaaaah! I need to get that freaking contest pic done by tomorrow! *flails*

Hopefully this weekend won't be too hectic for me to go out shopping...I need to buy some more drawing supplies -ran out T_____T -

Title says it all...kinda.
-Sorry for the journal spam. I just wanted to get some stuff out of the way-

So, some people were begging for me to update. Can't say I blame them. I've been practically dead on DA.
...no pics to show. Yet. Here's what I have so far:

- One art trade pic (Inked)
- Two commissions ~~(Each 90% done)~~ Edit: DONE
- One contest pic ~~(Sketch)~~ Edit: Inking 90%
- Gift Bishie (Not yet started)

Now, others have been requesting that I update you guys on my life. (Maybe they had nothing to do...? Because honestly, if it weren't for my crazy friends, my life would be as boring as hell.) So, here's my update.

A little more than a week ago (last Monday), I had a math test. Now, I was practically failing that class (D)...so the only way that I could boost my grade up to a C+ or something like that, was to ace the test. So, I studied and prepared for three days straight (the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday before).

Then, Monday hit. And the test came.
The first six questions were really easy.
And then...
I. BLANKED. OUT. OAO;;;;;
Out of 20 questions, I was only able to answer 6.
...needless to say, I was devastated. Destroyed. Dead.
My teacher asked me, "are you OK?" after I turned in my test.
No, I am not OK. Would you be ok if you blanked out right in the beginning of a test worth 55% of your grade?!

So, anyway...
I had a talk with her the next day and told her what happened...she told me that she felt really sorry for me. And that she didn't want me to keep stressing out because of the tests.
So we both agreed that it would be for the best if I were to transfer classes.
Yes. I dropped down.
And it feels GREAT.

I feel more relaxed...I'm sleeping better now...and I have more time to focus on my other classes. ^^

OK, so that ends my little emo/pathetic/whiny story.

Now for more recent things.
Somehow, over the weekend, I managed to forget EVERYTHING I learned in science. I discovered this on Monday (it's always Monday, have you noticed?), and the test...is on Friday (tomorrow).

Now, do you think I was happy? No.
Anyway, so I busted my butt so I could catch up. For the last three days (including today), for about 2 hours on average each day, I worked with my teacher to reteach myself what we had learned the last few weeks.

Haha. It was crazy.

Oh, and get this...
Now, we both can't really work in absolute quiet...so he played some music while we worked. And then I gave him my recently aquired Ayumi Hamasaki CD [Ayu-ro Mix] to play (because we both f*cking love techno/trance/pop...among other things) Yes. So now I've got him hooked on Ayu. 8D

My history teacher just sent me two hard copies of The Onion.
Best. Newspaper. Ever. :'DDDDDD
