VACATION END

Yeeeeaaaaah we`re back!
I don`t want to describe everything in detail, cause I did it enough in the last week... this trip was the worst we`ve ever had! We lived in a hotel in the city in a room that smelled like cat pee... the personal was extreme unfriendly and noone was able to communicate with us cause they couldn`t speak english! The beach smelled like sewage water and was dirty... After the first horror-night (turkish techno till 2 o`clock in the night and no chance to sleep) we changed the hotel!
The next one was not really better... but unfortunately there were no other hotels to go!
And therefore we paid more than 700Â! Now we wrote a letter to the travel business to get some money back cause this holiday was no holiday

So there was nothing with relaxing, fun and so on... I took some nice photos - but it will take some time cause I`ve to go through 700 deviations and 200 messages.
It feels good to be back home!

VACATION

A friendly Hello to everyone of you!
Tomorrow me and my lovely lady are away for one week. We will spent some days on the beach (Turkey) to relax and think about nothing than joy, fun, love and happyness! Just some time to get the mind a bit clearer. A bit of snorkling here and some photosessions there and many other things...
We are both so excited and happy!
I think this will be a lovely trip!

Last month I got my first DD!! I was really surprised, cause days before I made the 2nd place at the "less is more" contest held by *signmeupscotty and I was still in fever. I never thought that I could make the 2nd place there and than...
A week later I looked on my account as always and recognized that there were many messages waiting for me "what for?" I thought! Seconds later I knew IÂ´ve got a DD and a dream has come true for me!
A special THANK YOU and BIG HUGS are going out to ^FaMz and *marshmallow-pies, cause together they made all this possible! It was such a great day

...and you both gave me the reassurance that my work isn`t that bad!
Also thanks to all of those who faved and commented on my DD! Thank you for over 1000

Hi there!
Some of you may have recognized that a few days before I submitted a deviation with nearly the same title like this journal. Over the last days I decided to make a project out of this idea!

The topic racism is all the time around us. If we look at our policy in the countries where we live, or if we are watching the news... it`s sad but this problem is always present.

Although everyone in this world knows that we are all equal and all different. We are all human beings and we all have feelings that are sometimes even the same.
Noone wants to get harassed or get mistreated!

So let us put a sign with this project!

All of you who watch me or also everyone who comes around is invited to take part in this project!
It`s for a good cause!

!Some questions you may ask you!

When does the project start and end?
The project starts right now and closes on July 31th 11.00 PM (European Time/Austria)!

What do I have to do?
Take a photo from your gallery or a new one which isn`t submitted yet and put the line "art against racism" into it. You can also put the line and some words which are important for you into your photo! Have a look at the two examples! Title your deviation like this "AAR" or "Art against Racism"! Please leave a link to this journal in your artists comments at your deviation and this line "Art Against Racism Project 2009 by thestargazer23"!

What kind of images are allowed?
Only Photographs in color or black and white. That means no vector art or photomanipulations or something like that.

How can I take part in this project?
You submit your deviation and after that you send me a Note with the subject "AAR"! You may submit ONLY ONE PHOTOGRAPH for the project!

What are the prices?
There are no prices - it`s just for the good cause!
All participants will get featured in a News after the project is done and there are enough entries - I hope you enjoy this!

-Photocontest 2nd place & features-

Hello everyone!
Last Weekend I took part on a Photocontest in Vienna. There were ten topics and you had to take creative, funny shots that fit to them. My girlfriend, a good mate and I were one team. We thought we would have no chance but in the end we made the 2nd place out of nearly 30 teams!
We won some prices like cheap retro cams (Holga, Diana F and a fisheye cam), photobooks and tokens for some canvas prints.
I still can`t believe it... I`m so happy!

By the way - yeserday I passed 5 exams and I think they are all positive! *yeeha*
Another important thing is that a good friend here on dA made a nice feature for me [link]! Thanks Sandy!

That`s a real cool new experience with this lense. I haven`t got the chance to test it really cause the weather was not the best last weekend, but if you look in my gallery you can see my first attempts with the new lense.
I need to buy a little macro tripod, cause it`s a bit hard to get the objects sharp...
Anyway it`s a lot fun to shoot with it

Spring is finally here and everything is green and colorfull. The sun is shining nearly every day and the season for nature/flower shots has still begun. I saw so many great photographs in the last weeks - it`s amazing. If I would have a subscirption I would have done some features, but I got none... Would someone be so kind?

As you can see in my gallery. I had a nice session with my lovely grilfriend in the easter holidays. Thanks by the way, to you my dear

If I had more time I would do more sessions like this, but she has to work and I have to study... time is a horrible thing.

First of all, I wanna thank everyone who supports me and my art! Thank you all!
dA is a great place and it`s really amazing here! Regardless which kind of art you are looking for, you`ll find everything and there are so many people who are underrated, although they make fabolous work!
If I would have a subscription I would feature them to obtain them more acceptance, but I`m a student and I got no money

Now it`s christmastime, some will say it`s all commercial (yes in some way it is) but for other ones it`s a time to get together with there families and feel what love, warmth and security means!
We are getting older and the time when we loved christmas and counted every day is over, It`s a day like all the others in the year, but the main thing is to show people that you like `em and maybe make `em a nice present or say at least some nice words to make their day a bit better!

I hope you`ll have some nice time, hug your parents, your sisters or brothers, your wife or husband, your friends and show them what they mean to you!

Autumn has still arrived!
The last 2 - 3 weeks were amazing. ItÂ´s wonderful to take a walk through the wood and see all those amazing colors, this nature colorplay is breathtaking.
