Maybe see Versailles and everyone else who's playing with them at Shibuya-O. Possibly make a trip to Osaka to see D'espairsRay. Who knows!? Edit: No-go on D'espa. Or Miyavi. But we will go to see Katou. Complete with overnight trip.

I will also be emptying my bank account purely on kimono and Harajuku. Seriously. (Almost)

They're saying it's the worst wind storm that this area has had in a century, I think we might get one worse than that as winter progresses. We'll have to stock up on more propane and non-perishables, but we should be fine, just as we were this past week.

I'm posting at 's house since I'm spending the night and I'm taking advantage of the first bit of unrestricted internet (I got on at my mother's work but couldn't quite do much) in quite a bit.

In better news, I'm getting further along with my CAGE!Toshiya cosplay. I have the sleeves patterned out and the skirts are almost finished. I have to hem the black over-skirt and then connect/add the zipper to the two and finish the waist and then I'll have the cosplay about half finished! All I really need is cord for the decor and solid black fabric for the top part. I would like to make it known: I HATE SLIPPERY FABRICS!!!!!! It's such a pain to keep in place on my work/dining table.

We still don't have a name for the girl, but we found a name for the boy. We're calling him Lolo since he's so spazzy. He keeps running into things and hitting his head. He's hit himself jumping up onto my lap and hit himsel f on the computer desk, he constantly runs at the mirror and pounces it like crazy, and he's constantly picking on his sister, though she wins a good deal of the fights.

The girl's really smart so we're thinking something like Akamai (akamai = smart) We still don't know. We're open to name ideas. (J-rock names are always good. )

I doubt I told anyone other than Valerie, but I'll most likely be going to France for three weeks this summer. It's for a study homestay from the end of June to the middle of July. Aside from birthday stuff, last Saturday I went to Sakura-Con as Reita. (Katherine, get those pictures developed soon. I want to see how I actually looked.) Several people actually recognized me and I was stopped for photos. I think that's the only time I would ever want photos taken of me. Other than photos, I bought a D'espairs Ray poster, CURE vol. 15 (Dec. 2004) that came with a 12012 poster, and a "I'm not here for ANIME . . . Ask Me About JROCK" shirt from Jhouse Rock. I got a print and a mousepad from , and four books of manga (Shaman King, FMA, Hellsing, and Rurouni Kenshin) from some other vendor. It was quite an experience.

Next year, I think I'll be going as Raison D'être!Kaoru for one of the days and then see if I can get three other people to help cosplay all of D'espairs Ray. If not, I'll just go as Karyu anyways.

Whenever I actually start drawing a lot, or when I have something I really want to post, I don't have the means to get it onto the comp. >_>

My scanner/printer thing used to sit right on the floor in front of the PC tower so we never had a problem with the USB cord. My mother moved the printer so it's now sitting on a shelf above the computer desk (it's next to the monitor right now). Now I can't find a USB cord that is long enough to connect with the tower, which is on the other side of the monitor on the floor.

Basically, the whole point of that rant was just to say I won't be posting anything new until I can get a new cord or move the tower. We were supposed to do that a while ago and I would do it myself, but I wouldn't remember where any of the cords connect. So sorry. I wanted to show you guys the sketch for the oil pastel piece I'm doing for my art class. I can give you the reference picture I'm using but I changed a lot of the colouring and added several things.

Also, I would take pictures of them, but my camera is dead. Well, more like it won't load the pictures to the main computer. >_> Technology hates me, I swear it does.

In other, completely unrelated and much better news, I am going to be finishing up my first session of Japanese lessons on Sunday. Apparently I've gone through enough stuff to sign up for Japanese 200, but I can't make the classes (They're on Wednesdays and I don't have my licence or a car yet).

Anyways, I've recently downloaded D'espairs Ray's Paris Coupling Tour Live. The entire line up. It's so awesome. I hope that someone comes out for Sakura-con this year. If D'espairs Ray or Gazette come, I will definately go. Miyavi or Kagrra, or Dir en Grey would be other definates. L'Arc~en~Ciel would also be nice to go to, along with Luna Sea. I don't know. I would love to go to any/all of them if I had the money and they came near me. (BC, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, etc. I'm not quite sure why anyone would put on a concert in Idaho though. No offence to anyone who lives there.)

Picture news: I'm working on one of Izumi (the drummer from Kagrra,) and thinking of entering a few of the L contests that are out there. *Go-Devil-Dante's and ~hella-toes's in particular. We never get snow. I don't know, I guess it's amazing and all, but I'm not too sure what this is going to turn into. Whatever, I'm putting too much thought into the weather. That's never healthy.

In other news, I killed my legs in kendo on Friday night. We started doing lunges and after about half an hour of doing nothing but lunges across the floor, I ended up killing my legs. Oddly enough, I didn't notice until about one on Saturday when I was trying to ignore my mum trying to wake me up. (I managed to do so until about 2:30.)

Also, could anyone suggest Psycho Le Cému songs for me? I like what I've heard of them, but I would rather know a bit more of their music before I decide I want a cd or anything. This would be much appreciated.

Sophmore year started on Wednesday (8/31) and already I'm annoyed with the institution of school. I'm rather glad I got drawing first semester because I'm not entirely sure what I would do if I had Phys Ed this semester. >_< Probably go insane. It's weird, my Language Arts class is more of a philosopy class than anything else.

My French teacher actually knows the lanugage this year. I'm rather glad about that, last year I had an almost senile teacher who spoke French like an American. Thankfully she retired.

My math class is almost entirely Juniors and, sadly, I know more than most of them do when it comes to the classwork. That's just sad. But my teacher's rather cool so it's all good.

I'm currently working on a drawing of Anna Kournikova (I just mangled her name but I don't really care) from an advert of some internet provider. Except she looks more like an eight-year-old than however-old-she-really-is. I'm probably gonna change her jawline and expression (She's smiling) and add something to her cheek and make her look less like herself. Or I might just draw someone completely different since her hair is almost impossible to work with (It's entirely in graphite and I hate drawing light coloured hair in graphite). Probably Ken from L'Arc~en~Ciel. Who knows.

I'm taking World History and the teacher's kinda wierd, but he's nice so I don't really mind. I don't like most of the people I know from that class. The rest of them I have no clue who they are. My Biology teacher is . . . very peppy. There's just no other way to say that.

In other news, I've got a splinter in my finger and I have no clue how it got there. It's rather wierd.

In other news: I had fun on my vacation. It was busy as hell, driving from state to state or walking from museum to museum. I spent two nights in Chicago. Two nights in Lafayette ((Indiana)Due to my father's graduation from grad school). One night in Mammoth Caves National Park (Kentucky). One night in Charleston (West Virginia). Five nights in Washington D.C. One night in Pennsylvania, one night in . . . I believe it was in Indianna? I dunno. I'll probably have a full discription on my LJ once I bother to do that.

Art related news: I've been going on an Ed-spree. It's rather odd, I've got two studies of his arm, which are going to be in scraps once I get them scanned. One copy of a picture from the first volume of the manga (as best as I could get it to fit on the paper). Also I've got two pictures that I still need to draw of him.
One is of Ed and Envy glaring at each other from different sides of the paper as a parody of the well known Envy-fanclub quote "Because . . . Palm trees are sexier than midgets" and having it say "Are palm trees really sexier than midgets?"
The other is a request made by Lia (who is still lacking an account) as we were watching the intros to the episodes. Pretty much, Ed yawning. Simple, but I need to get around to it.
Your piccie of Shigure should be comming soon. The background just needs to be inked and coloured. Then it needs to be scanned. I'm actually rather proud of how the picture came out.

I want to draw Wrath. I've already drawn Lust, so I just need to do the other six, though I think I'm just going to do Lust, Wrath, Envy, and Greed. I have troubles drawing Gluttony and, well, Pride and Sloth just annoy me. >_<

Though, that just depends on how often I can get access to a scanner. I don't own one and I feel awkward asking people if I can use their scanner (even if they say it's OK). *Shrugs* Nothing new there.
