It looks good at any time of year.

Purple is sexy.
' Purple ' rolls off the tongue nicely.
Purple is my favourite color to wear.
A purple sky is prettiest.

Anyway. I also like looking at photographs of redheads with golden sunlight-halos and green eyes. So pretty. And shots of really pale lanky girls in forests swathed with snow. And snapshots of Asian girls who look like the lovechildren of Vogue and Rolling Stones. I also like the ocean, reflections, and anything that highly emphasizes color.

CHARLIE IS THE SWEETEST BOYFRIEND!

He did the following things today:
- Gave me a bouquet of roses and one of my fave candies: Sour Sticks. I made him a card and photomanipped two Absolut Vodka bottles to form Absolut KitKat and Absolut Charlie. (my latest deviation)
- Surprised me with a trip to Max Brenner in Greenbelt, (he drove from Ateneo!) which he's been promising to take me to for the longest time. We had dessert at Cafe Breton.
- Walked around with me and essentially made the day special and super fun
(I wore my 'I love my Filipino boyfriend' shirt and he wore his 'Kiss Me, I'm Filipino' shirt.)

...and to cap the day off,
- He dropped me off at home and while driving out, his front bumper caught onto the back step/bumper of a catering truck. So the front part was ripped off while the truck was undamaged. I felt bad for him because he made the effort to bring me to Makati and all and then this had to happen. It wasn't a major incident though and the owner was fine with it so he was still able to go home afterwards.

I have just had the most interesting Valentines Day ever. I still had so much fun and it's my first Valentines with someone, so I'm so glad I got to spend it with him. Thanks Charlie.

e)You being so nervous because of a) that you almost hit the mayor's car. (he's my neighbor)

f)Your father threatening to tie one hand to the armrest so that you stop using it while driving.

g) All of the above occuring at 7:00 in the morning.

I know that it's possible to drive using just one hand but it would be great to try it out when you aren't in the middle of the highway.

We went on a campus tour and these 'tour guides' (called TnTs) were running around with us. They kept on screaming at us to run faster and stuff and they were incredibly hyper, but it was all good. (I didn't realize ADMU was that fackin big) And we did a bunch of group dynamics - bonding sessions. I really like my block!

I survived entirely on adrenaline and coffee.

I've got a new artistic endeavor to cram into my last days of 'summer'. I'm going to paint my sneakers and maybe I'll wear them on Wednesday.

One hour and thirty minutes every T-TH of surviving a language I don't speak/don't want to learn. SAVE ME!!!!! I just got pwned by ADMU in that respect!

On a funny, ironic side, (when compared to my situation in Filipino) I got placed in Merit English, which means I'm going to take advanced English lessons! Yay! And Justine's there, but she's not in my block for English.

My science class is BOTANY. O_O This happened because all the Environmental Science classes were filled out by the time I was called to enroll (you enroll by random number, mine was 703) and I was NOT going to let myself suffer Chemistry/Zoology again!!! (Physics was open and I love it, but I was iffy about the subject)

For PE, I ended up signing up for Physical Fitness. O_O Running would've conflicted with my schedule, soccer wasn't open, and aerobics wasn't open either. So I do weight training for PE! Buwahahahaha.

I made a friend with a nice guy (he's uke, and I mean it really he IS) and when he found out I had been in ADMU since 9am, he bought me a large iced tea! Yay!

I'm going out with Pipay and random blockmates this Thursday. Hope it goes well.

About staying in ADMU the entire day...

I told my dad I had to commute because we were supposed to surprise him for his birthday. This meant I had to go home by commuting so I could pick up the cake we got for him at Haagen Daz. So he dropped me off in the morning. >< My enrollment ETA was 1:00 pm. ><

O_O You know, when the computer has slowed down to the point where it freezes in between typing characters?

Anyway. Do it the Japanese way! We had this Japanese man over for our Japanese lessons (we being myself and ) and he taught us how to cook a Japanese pancake. Let's call him A-san.

We were supposed to test the little electrical stove to see how hot it was. Most normal people in this world will a) Hold a hand over the thing to see whether it's hot or not b) Dump water on the surface to see if it steams up.

Well, A-san opted for option a, wasn't satisfied, and then he pressed his hand against the stove top. KYAAA!!!! He wasn't just satisfied with putting fingertips on the burning stove, he placed his entire hand on the stovetop in proper kung-fu-I-pwn-judo-samurai-style!!!!

He didn't burn himself, thank gawd. He used his super quick kung-fu-I-pwn-judo-samurai reflexes to quickly snatch his hand away.

It was the most interesting thing ever that's happened in Japanese lessons.

I got my letter for the Atenean freshman orientation (OrSem) and it's all brainwashing propaganda, I tell you! (Not that I needed that) The letter came with a letter discussing how great ADMU was and how high it ranked, etc. And the OrSem letter? BLUE text on BLUE background. I had to squint to read bits of it.

I can't wait to get my jacket though! I really want to buy that ADMU jacket and then flash it in front of all my La Sallian friends. Buwahahaha! We shall have a green+ maroon + blue + whatever color 's is showDOWN!

When all else fails, I'll wear my platforms.

I turned on my iPod today and began drawing....four hours later, I looked at it and realized that I had been playing Houki Boshi continuously for FOUR HOURS. OMG. MY EARS!!!!

On another note...I went to a marathon with my family last Sunday. We were given 2 hours to run 3k at Fort. My mum, bro, and I made it in 22 minutes. (I was first! Buwahaha)

Now my legs are threatening to sue me and going up the stairs hurts. But it feels good to run.

I was able to freeload off my mum's ticket! Haha. She she got invited to the fashion show of their spring(?) collection. It was interesting...I was able to check out all these hot in-crowd-people who were too skinny to be human and dressed quite nicely too. And I kept on nearly-bumping-into people's LVs, Guccis, Chanels, Pradas, etc. (As in shoes or bags or whatever) It was kind of crowded.

The models were H-O-T. Actually, the men. Yeah, mostly. ^_^ They were taller than me! They were speaking in a foreign language!! They had ABS!!!!! Afterwards, my mum and I ate out at a restaurant (everyone kept on staring because we were dressed up -_-) and the models ended up eating at the same restaurant with Vicky Belo.

Haha. I am so inspired right now.

I'm going to take AB Communication Arts at the Ateneo and it's a bit scary because I'm 16..and now I have to make decisions about my life! Grrr. Like will I shift my course. Or, which school? Will I dorm or not?

I wish I was in Japan! Somehow (and unrealistically) I think that'd make things easier. Actually, dorming would be fun, if I do do it. I mean, I'll be able to use the internet for as long as I want. For FREE. Buwahahaha.

I'm supposed to learn how to drive this summer...and continue French! The sad thing is, I want to learn Japanese now, but now I can't because I have to continue French...

My family went to France! It was fantastic. I missed two weeks of school, but who cares!

And oh, the French are insane. Even more so than the FIFA fans. (Fans of Portugal would race madly around the Arche du Triumphe and wave flags, causing mayhem and traffic. They rioted too on Champs d'Elysee)

We did the following things:

Day 1
ST. CHAPELLE: The chapel is gorgeous and the stained glass is absolutely exquisite. It covers all four walls of the building and tells the entire story of the Bible! You ought to see it; when the sunlight shines through it every just lights up like fireworks!

NOTRE DAME: We walked up the stairs....I counted over two hundred but I started a bit late so I'm not so sure about my accuracy.... The view is spectacular! We could also see La Defense from there....Montmarte....Twas just lovely.

CONSIGLIERIE: (Is that really the name? I can't quite remember...anyway, it's a prison) I saw where Marie Antoinette was imprisoned. Oh, the drama.

After these things we were so tired already because we actually arrived that morning...

Our hotel was this darling little thing called Hotel Bellevue and it's one of those old types with rickety elevators like the kind you see in A Very Long Engagement. I didn't trust it (only two people at a time!) so I ended up dragging our luggage upstairs to the fourth floor.

Day 2

MUSEEE D'ORSAY: I swear I had a heart attack because in JUST one room they had


LOUVRE: We actually went here on the last day because we knew it would be SO overwhelming. I was FINALLY able to see La Joconde (I think some people know her as the Mona?, and by pure accident I saw the Code of Hammurabi! I didn't even know the code was there! My parents won't let me study at the States first because I'll be sixteen when I graduate. I'll probably end up spending a year here taking a prep course before I'm carted off the college.

I believe I'm quite capable of taking care of myself, but my parents don't agree with me. I wish they'd pay more attention. They always assume, for example, that when I stand up after eating, I won't clean up my plate. They go, 'Hey! Clean up your plate!' Or 'don't forget to close the door!' There's also 'Clean up!'

I always do these things, except they immediately assume that they have to remind me to do them. Then they think I need to be told how to take care of myself. Of course, I can't tell my parents off when they leave the lights on, keep the door open when the a/c's on, and forget to turn off the transformer. It would be so un-Asian.

It's a viscious cycle that annoys me a lot.

I am unnaturally excited about Senior year and the first day of school.

Bon ben. I wish I could escape this country but unfortunately, I can't. At least, for now.

You know that feeling you have sometimes when you have an intense need to create something beautiful? Things like running out of ideas for artwork or poetry. I hate having a hiatus, so I'm looking for inspiration.

What inspires me?

I could ask God for it to rain. I love the rain. Sunlight clouds my thoughts. I love things that go with storms: mountains, seas, rain, cloudy days....

I could find a new artist to listen to. Enya and Chopin are wonderful companions, but you do tire of them after a while.

I could go to the fallacious extremes and fall in love. Right. Since I've been exported to the country (Bikol) by my parents, there isn't exactly anyone qualified for a summer fling.

Of course, my grandparents are wonderful people, but neither of them speak English that...ah...well, not 'fluently', but basically, we don't really understand each other the way the other wants the other to. Okay? : ) Recently, we were in a funny situation. My grandfather has a restaurant. We were eating with him and he decided to give us his favorite treat: crab.

I DESPISE CRABS. I don't eat crustacean food. So he ignored us while we (my brother and I) were politely going, 'No thank you, no thank you' and he ordered a waiter to crack a pile of crabs for us. Oh dear. Now, this waiter wasn't as deaf as my grandfather and he understood that we didn't like crab. I love games; now I can get to this one. Okay:

1. During the summer, I wake up every morning, slice mangoes, and eat in front of the radio while listening to classical/operatic/New Age music. (Example: Groban, Enya, Chopin McKennit...) It's very refreshing, actually.

2. I love school. I love learning new things. My favorite subjects are History and Math, and my favorite past time is reading.

3. I always crush on older men. REALLY older men. I don't mean DOMs, I mean people who are below 37 years old. I don't know why. Besides the usual yeah-he's-cute, I love their personalities. Teen boys are disgusting.

4. Whenever you make me blog, I end up bragging.

5. I think you're immature. And you're not complicated enough. (Yes, whenever I blog, I end up bragging, but I truly do not get along well with normal people my age. I hate games, I don't watch cartoons, my favorite channels are the Nat Geo and Discovery channels, I'd rather draw or write, and my friends are the same...but we're not losers. Trust me. We're just the weird snobby ones.) When I chat or write up people, they always think I'm older than twenty. But I'm a nice enough person. *grins*

6. I want to go to the Arctic. (And it's not for the penguins or polar bears...it's for the ice)

7. I went ballistic in school because I had to study Tagalog, a language I can't speak, and now everyone's laughing at me because I'm trying to learn French. Bon ben...

On weird thing no. 4:

I don't know why I'm like this. I could put it this way: I'm an old soul. It's not that I'm very serious; I'm actually very optimistic and carefree. However, I just want more from life. I want to go to Antarctica, I want to see Europe, I want to join the Peace Corps; I want to be a fantastic ballroom dancer.

Most people my age can't relate to this and I often get frustrated in class because of my classmates, when I can't talk abouy boyfriends, gossip, and complain about so-and-so. My good friends are just as complicated as I am and we're slightly snobby... I'm proud of being a fashionable eclectic nerd.

And whenever I do things like these, I end up posting a journal entry explaining myself and my personality!!!

I'm being serious. I'm looking forward to the plane ride, because I think it appeals to my sense of self-isolation. And I love airports! My parents think I am a black sheep. But my brother loves airplanes too.

In Paris, we are going to drag ourselves to all the museums and sample French food. I can't wait to see the Louvre! I want to see the Mona Lisa and some Monet. And I want to see the headless statue of Aphrodite. And I want to see the Hotel Invalides. I want to look at Bonaparte's stuffed horse. And I want to go to the Eiffel Tower, of course. And I want to eat French food.
