Sitting alone in the Thumbshare headquarters after a long day of asking trivia questions and checking out awesome thumbs, Thumbbot was eagerly awaiting the holidays when he could finally wind down and relax and celebrate his little known holiday during the festive season called ‘fesdevious’, it’s not very well known but it’s just as important as the other more major holidays. Just as he is planning to get ready he hears three distinct knocks on the door.

A little puzzled as to who it could be Thumbbot opens the door and too his utter disbelief standing before him is possibly the most crazy thing he had ever seen, a unicorn and riding on its back was the most odd looking pirate he had ever seen and on the pirates shoulder in the space normally reserved for parrots was a cute fairy.

“urghh…. Hello” said Thumbbot, eyes glowing with amazement.

“hello Thumbbot” said the Unicorn

“We are the spirits of Fesdevious” said the fairy.

“Arrrr! And we be needing your help yarrr!” said the Pirate

The Three spirits suddenly vanished and reappeared behind thumbbot and began settling around the room.

“Sit Thumbbot and let us tell you a story” said the Unicorn.

Still bewildered at the sight of the three of these magical creatures he takes a seat on the edge of his bed and listens intently as they begin their story.

“Now fesdevious began oh so many years ago when these 5 friends, every holiday season would have to separate and go their separate ways for at times as short as 2 weeks or as long as 2 months” said the unicorn.

“Arrr! Dis made those kiddies so sad it turned them hearts blue as the darkest ocean it did!” said the pirate.

“So the kids gathered at their cubby house to say goodbye each year just before the holidays so they could laugh and play one last time before those sad times would come, but one year we decided it was enough and something had to be done, so when they gathered at their cubby one festive season long ago we showed up and decided to brighten their holidays by giving them fesdevious! The holiday that goes against the norm!’ spoke the Unicorn.

Thumbbot, dazzled by the story was in a trance as if time itself had stopped still.

“We told them that if they celebrated fesdevious they would never truly be apart and from then on they celebrated every year and every year since they started they never spent another holiday season apart ever again” said the fairy in a proud voice.

“Fesdevious is all about community and celebrating friendship rather than giving out meaningless presents and going away from the people you care about! Sadly though people are forgetting about fesdevious and forgetting about its true meaning” said the Unicorn in a sad voice.

“Arrr! So we three want ye to help us spread the fesdevious spirit and make it huge like it used to be yarr!” said the Pirate.

Thumbbot suddenly snaps out of his trance incredibly excited and asks, “what would you like me to do spirits of fesdevious?” as he quickly turns his back on them to get up to grab some paper and pen. When he turns around he see’s nothing but an empty room and so quickly runs outside to try and catch them to ask him what he should do only to hear a faint whisper on the wind…

“Spread the fesdevious spirit and all will be well!”…
