A good deal of it is posted at my livejournal and is friend's locked for content reasons.

Later Edit: Please don't be offended by my profuse disabling of comments. I'm a little bit nervous around new people, and I've found on sites like deviantART that I produce higher quality work if I'm not so focused on getting feedback that I'll compromise time just to get a picture up. I also get disappointed if a picture that I spent two hours on gets way more comments than one I spent 10 hours total on.

COMMISSION INFORMATION:
$25 for a 2.5x3.5'' Sketch Card

I don't know.

So, in the past I've noticed a particular amount of internet dramaz. So, in your personal opinion, what are the justified reactions to each of the situations I've repetitively encountered? No, these are related to no one in particular. I've honestly seen these time and time again, read about them in other peoples journals, seen related wank. But what I would like to do is see what everyone, logically, separated from involvement with a particular situation at the current moment, would hypothetically do when place in it.

I don't know if this will fit in comments, so if you do answer it, copy and paste it in your own journal and drop me a link to the answers, or just comment on the few that you actually have strong opinion on.

1. Someone has posted your (or a friend's) artwork and claimed it as their own / are making a profit off of it.

2. Someone has posted your (or a friend's) artwork on their personal site or used it in a graphic without your expressed permission.

3. Someone has printed your (or a friend's) artwork from a regular printer and put it up on their wall.

4. Someone has flamed your (or a friend's) artwork or work of fiction.

5. Someone has given you (or a friend) a critique after requesting not to have one.

6. Someone has very similarly copied a design or used a concept almost identical to yours (or a friend's) for non-profit purposes.

7. Your friend is being insulted in a public journal.

13. Your friend is being insulted in a friends locked journal.

14. An artist/RPer is portraying a character in a fashion you don't agree with.

15. An artist/writer is writing content that you find erroneous or with bad characterization.

16. An artist/writer who you regularly interact with is posting content you strongly disagree with either morally or socially.

17. Someone you regularly interact with doesn't like the material you are writing/drawing at the moment.

18. You run into someone that you've had a disagreement with in the past years down the road on a site/forum.

19. What do you do after you leave a site because of drama?

20. What is your personal definitions for family friendly, for work safe, for mature, and for pornographic?

This list being said, we all know the internet is just a series of tubes and a hunk of plastic and wires that makes it easier for you to look at things that might turn you on or make you happy. So don't take it too seriously, though it's really hard when you have difficulty talking to people in real life. I know a lot of my answers now wouldn't be the same ones I had a year ago, or for that matter five years ago. What made you like a certain character? Has there been a character that you hated at first but grew to love? Have you ever had an interesting reaction to your fic/art/rp/cosplay? That sort of thing.

I'll start with my random story.

I've been a fan of Dr. Octopus since I was twelve. I saw the cartoon and got the overwhelming desire to learn more about the character, and have been collecting material ever since. My favorite interpretation though has always been pre-Web of Death Marvel canon.

I've had trouble following it in recent years because Marvel is Marvel and with the movie a fucking retarded lot of fans appeared out of the woodwork, and they did all sorts of weird changes to his character, plus there is the Ultimate Marvel version and the movie interpretation which is different from the comic version and the old cartoon version.

One thing I've consistently collected though is Doc Ock figures. A good portion of them are still in Kentucky, and I don't know if I'll ever see them again, but I have been collecting them for what's been fifteen years now. Sure, I got Piccolo figures and Silent Bob figures and odds and ends like the Headless Horseman or Ash from Evil Dead or Dr. Evil. But they don't hold a candle to my army of much beloved Dr. Octopus figures. And if I can find more affordably, I'll still buy them (and the occasional comic book if it's not too expensive, fucking popularity drove up the prices).

In fact, I had an drawn envelope with Dr. Octopus printed once in Wizard Magazine, which is a retardedly big deal to me.

So yeah, there's a random fandom story.

Bust portrait = $15-$20 depending on the amount of detail.
Chibi = $20-$30 depending on the amount of detail
Full figure with scant/no background = $50
Full Artwork complete with background = $100

*holkimcardie1 Dethsword Commissions = 100%

And this isn't a hunt for objects, this is a hunt for reactions.

How do you do this? See if you can do all 20 of these things, and then post how people react to them after you do complete it.

1.) When someone knocks on the door, yell, "Jesus has come!"

2.) Walk up to someone, smell their shoulder, wrinkle your nose, and say, "Smells like daddy."

3.) Blast slow music in your car and headbang to it at a stop light.

4.) Answer the door at least once with underwear on your head.

5.) Fake an accent for an entire day. Whichever one you can do. We can all do one.

6.) Raspberry the teller at the bank. Don't explain why.

7.) Make a voice post to livejournal if you have it going, "Wokkawokkawokka" like the pacman noise. If you can't voice post then leave someone a voice mail with nothing but that.

8.) Scream randomly on the sidewalk. You may do this in the company of a friend so that you're not arrested for being insane. If this screaming must be in the form of a word, let it be "Cock" or "Sparta".

9.) Walk sideways from one side of a store to the other.

10.) Leave a note on a table where you work / at a place you frequent with either the words "You've lost the game" or "Kilroy was here". Sit and wait for someone to notice it.

11.) The next time you order pizza or chinese, demand that your meal come with a cup of straws when delivered.

12.) Look at a check-out person and say, "I love you," and leave. Preferably someone you'll probably never see again.

13.) Wear something with obnoxious polka dots.

14.) Stage an argument in public over pokemon and make it sound gangsta.

15.) Stage an argument in public over draq queens and make it sound metal.

16.) Answer the door with shorts on over jeans.

17.) Carve a watermelon like a jack-o-lantern for Independence Day or some other summer holiday.

Now here are the reeeeaaaally hard ones:

18.) Admit something good that you think about someone to their face. And not just a little good, more like, "I think you're the prettiest person in the world," or "I'm still alive because I know you."

19.) Dye your hair a color it's never been or cut / style your hair a way you've never dared.

20.) Buy a bag of dog / cat food and take it to the closest no-kill shelter. I just add that one because they need it.

So lets see who's brave enough to pull off most of these.

Bust portrait = $15-$20 depending on the amount of detail.
Chibi = $20-$30 depending on the amount of detail
Full Artwork complete with background = $100

My Problem with Butch Hartman

After quite a bit of thought, I've decided that I dislike Butch Hartman cartoons. And this of course is just my opinion, no one is obligated to agree with it, but I am going to go off on a tangent. If you do enjoy your Butch Hartman cartoons and are easily offended, you should stop reading here and just come back later for more arts.

Still here?

Alright.

Here I go.

Pretty much Butch Hartman cartoons bank off very juvenile humor... which is okay if you're like, ten. But I really can't enjoy it in the slightest at my age. Some of the shows that I enjoyed as a child, I would enjoy now on the fact that they inspired nostalgia but I can readily admit that they were awful and I can't derive the joy from them that I once did. She-Ra? Older He-Man? Even the voice acting of the 90's X-Men cartoon is grating on me now.

There are some kids cartoons out today that have a humor that can appeal to both adults and children without even being vulgar, or mixes intelligent humor in with it. My Uncle loves Spongebob. I like Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends and the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. The humor doesn't even have to be vulgar. It's that the humor is intelligent. Most of Butch Hartman's cartoons consist of crappy catch phrases, cheesy grins, and funny voices.

As far as the characterization in his cartoons goes, that's equally lacking. If you're presented with a "villain" in a Butch Hartman cartoon, they're usually so irredeemably bad or cowardly it's hard to mentally connect with them. Those that aren't irredeemably bad have horribly bad anti-hero personalities that makes them nigh on impossible to connect with. And the emo heroes with their snappy catch phrases and super bad jokes?

Yes, when Craig McCracken started popularizing the use of that sort of design, it was awesome. It was great. But seeing that design makes you automatically think it should be connected to some sort of intelligent humor. But no, the humor doesn't even match the show's design. It's like a contradiction of terms and makes it very hard to watch.

Take for example Home Movies. I love the humor of Home Movies, but goddamn if that's not the hardest show to watch because the style makes it seem like it should be more ridiculous. You have to consider what audience your production is catering to when you write and design characters for a show. You might not think design matters that much but the DESIGN DOESN'T MATCH THE WRITING!

So okay, Butch Hartman may be good for people who are reminded of that type of humor growing up, but it's way too simple on all levels for me to get into.

The rules:
1. Post these rules
2. Each person tagged must post 8 random (hopefully interesting) facts about themselves
3. Tags should write a journal of these facts
4. At the end of the post 8 more bloggers are tagged and named
5. Go to their page and leave a comment telling them that they're tagged.
FACTS:
1. Only about 40% of the time I wear underwear. Not out of any desire to be rebellious or sexy, but I can't remember to grab it before my shower. I have a really horrible memory and unless I write something down I forget everything beyond three years in my past.
2. I have a double jointed jaw and can almost unhinge it.
3. I lost track of a very good friend because of a lost phone number, and I think about her at least once a day and miss her still. She was very sick and could be dead now.
4. I can't sing, but I will make noises to go with background music. I'll also make banjo noises at random and Curly Howard noises as I draw.
5. I threaten to murder Harry Turtledove for writing too much and Puscifer for not making more music.
6. Red and yellow colors on my computer trigger migraines so it takes me a while to color red heavy things.
7. I'm bipolar, epileptic, slightly color-blind in one eye, photophobic, have bursitis and tendonitis... But I have PERFECT BLOOD PRESSURE. Yeeeeah boy!
8. I'm a decent cook, but I southern cook and don't always go off recipes.

Er..... Do it if you want to.

So that'll be fun. And whenever I find my big tablet I'll try to get some line-art done before I go. Unfortunately I have no idea where the big ass tablet is. I know I have it though, because it wasn't too long ago that I did my last mammoth picture of questionable content. Hopefully it'll reveal itself soon.
I'm mostly packed now and I'll be leaving early Friday I think. I don't know. I've not heard from my ride. Thursday I'll probably get my address changed. Again. I should probably just keep a stock of those papers around.

I put all the art in my ~biancamarou account into storage because I'm really thinking strongly of writing a series pitch, and I put a whole lot of spoilers in those pictures. So if something ever did get picked up, it would be too easy to reference on that account. I'll eventually go back through and unstore gifts though.

And sorry for those of you that noticed yesterday. I was having a bad day and a lot of self-doubt. I have a more sadistic view of my artwork than some other artists. After having it up long enough, sometimes I look at it and I hate it. Even if I drew it just for fun. Then I can't stand looking at it anymore, like I'm scarring people just from having it up. A lot of artists have a love hate relationship with their art, but I think I'm one of the few that will actively tear up (and occasionally give away) old line-art and delete older pictures if I find it disappointing or offensive enough.

Fortunately here there's the storage tool, so I can put it away where no one can see it if a really sour mood hits me.

One of the things I hate about myself is that I have a constant desire for approval. A dozen people can like my stuff and I'm all, "Yay!" but one person who I at some point found intelligent and/or insightful could make a negative comment and it eats away at my brain forever. Or alternatively as bad, simply don't care if it's a gift that I spent good hard time on. Either way I feel absolutely horrible that this minority might not like me.

I do know better though. I've been doing commission work since I was 14 (12 if you count drawing roses for five bucks for girls on my schoolbus). I do put a lot of work into my art, and even though it's not the best in the world I work as hard as I can until my whole arm hurts. On the rare occasions I want to draw for myself, it's for myself. It's nice if people like it. But it's my thing and I should be able to do what I want to with it, no matter how deranged and weird it is.

If people want to see it, then good for them and good for me. I'm glad to hear it. However, if it's offensive to your senses or eyes or whatever, just go the hell away and don't try to make a big deal about how the freakin' weirdo drew a picture that's strange as hell. Or at least put it under a friend's lock where I can't see it and don't be all snide at my ass. I don't want to feel bad for anything that I draw for myself. I don't want anyone feeling bad for liking things that I drew for myself. And with the way my arm hurts after working, I don't want my shit picked apart just to satisfy someone's art ego when my only problem is that I don't have the time to repetitively go over every stage of my art to make sure that I've fixed every single mistake and tiny error.

I'm proud of what I can get done. And I'm proud that every picture I do is an improvement over the last. I'm proud that my little experiments in art for myself benefit my later commissions and gift arts because of the things that I figure out. I'm proud that I manage to teach myself so much. And gosh darnit, people like me- No wait. Fucking tangent.

Old meme is old.

Some stories I've considered doing once I get commissions under control.

- A Krozier centric story involving a couple of other generals mocking him for his suspicions concerning Dethklok. Krozier is one of my favorite characters, even if I don't do anything with him. He's pretty hilarious in all of his seriousness.

- Ahab comic where he's delivering to a house and the entire family is annoying that. That or actually write out his origin story like a novel (cause I've got to limit my drawing due to the ouchies). For those of you who don't know who Ahab is, you can read the pages linked here or the G33kz comics.

- Write up some more Immortal Coil short stories. Which I might actually post if I find a good proofreader that'll go over them and point out my grammar errors and repeated words and turns of phrase I shouldn't have used. Especially since I actually like critiques with my writing unlike with my art and it often takes me months to realize half my mistakes if left to my own devices.

~sandpuppeteer, my roommate, is wanting commissions at the moment, so if you want something drawn she's cheaper than me and she'll try very hard on it. Any and all help is appreciated.

Also, for Otakon I've decided to do Hellsing and Venture Brothers fanart. I've always wanted to do a picture of Integra and Alucard anyway. As for other art, I'll be selling prints of these pictures:

One poster sized print of each in the art auction, in high res and sans watermarks. I'm in the process of working on the VB fanart and hoping to freaking hell I can make it look good. GARGH.

-Later Edit-

Does anyone notice the headers and footers screwing up? Or does that just happen with CSS? Like my ~wtf-fangrrl-no icon keeps trying to repeat and the code changes to HTML and the footer gets a million breaks.
Also, I'm going to Otakon this year and am going to sell high quality framed prints in the art show. I'll be making a few from my gallery and a couple especially for the con. I'll show off whatever have ready before the show. I'll probably be selling a print of Lupin and the two full group Dethklok pictures that I have.

I'm also considering doing a Hellsing fanart. I like Integral a lot, but have yet to really try and draw her.
Today is Spug's birthday. Everyone needs to go to *puppetcore's page and tell her she's an old woman. Go do it. She'll know whose minions you are. Happy B-Day, Rubberbabyspuggybumper.

Here is her description:

"So it's like this. One of my close online friends *chisa has a happy place she has named The ChiGarden. It's perfect right? Well for years I've had my happy place in my head and NEVER was able to name it. Where is this going? Well I'll tell you. If you can come up with a name I like for my Happy Place, I'll reward you! If this generates enough interest and people want to actually do art of my happy place, it's twice the prize of the last one and then some!

My Happy Place:
It is inside a huge and gnarled tree, I mean ginormous. Inside there are bookcases carved into the living wood in rustic patterns that go on as far as the tree goes up. Filled with books ranging from scientific texts to fantasy faerie-tales. There are waterfalls, intoxicating exotic flowers, and streams of glittering sunlight filtering in. There are small areas of grass, and beds of flowers, hanging flowers or even bunches of hinahina (spanish moss). Books and pages are scattered everywhere. Small firework-like lights flicker around composed of energy, you could better relate them to faeries than fireflies, though they don't really have forms.

There are a few animals, the occasional bird, so on and so forth, but nothing really lives in there besides the plants and lights. I suppose a nymph or dryad or two might get in every now and then. It's just my mystical sanctuary.

Name that Happy Place!
Just you know, comment and let me know what you think it should be named. Try to be creative. I like foreign languages and all but don't get too crazy. Something in English is perfectly fine. I'll probably put the choices up in a poll at the end, to see what the public likes most. That doesn't mean I'll pick a name I like by what the majority rules! But, I suppose you never know!
Starts: Now!
Ends: I'll set a time soon.
Prize: 1 yr. DA Subscription
Entries: 2
~Vongchild "The Room at Starlight's End"
~Alinedra "Allery'ana Wildwood/Uennyarya Wildwood"

Draw that Happy Place!
I really like painter-styles, but I can get into other styles too! I don't have really high hopes for this haha, I know lots of people aren't into landscapes. Knock on wood! If you think this should be open just comment and let me know, if like three people show interest in this I'll open it up. Of course it needs to look like my happy place and you know, not something you just tossed out of crayons and coloured pencils. NEEDS TO LOOK GOOD. Feel TOTALLY free to bug me about details. I'm so into that <3.
Starts: When I see that some people are interested.
Ends: Sometime after the start?
Prize: 2 yrs. DA Subscription & $100
Entries: 0 (because it's not open)

Just thumb this deviation to link to it <3. If you think there's something WRONG with this submission or anything else, please just Note me. Don't be all crazy NARC on me. If you feel you must question my reliability when it comes to payment or anything else I can refer you to people I've commissioned before for feedback. Please note that if I reserve the right to cancel the contest if there aren't enough entries, though I will send monetary compensation for your artistic troubles."

I whole-heartedly encourage you to enter this contest, because she does pay promptly and is very helpful and can probably also get you quite a bit of promotion. Please enter her contest, she's a sweet person and will appreciate it.

I've not received my half of a lot of collabs and art trades that I did last year, even though I did mine. But rather than pushing it I'm just going to let it go. I don't really see the point in doing any more though, if I'm not going to get anything out of it. Especially since I still have a full workload still. I've not felt very secure in anything I do lately. Like, anything. Normally I at least like my plotting. I'm normally confident that given the resources I could make a pretty great movie. Usually I think my dialog is really touching and all that bullshit. But that's just it, it's bullshit. I'm moderately okay with my art right now. Most of my problems with that come from the fact I don't spend enough time on it.

And I could go on and on about the problems that I'm having with my creativity. But that would just make more problems that are worse than the ones I've already got. Plus I'm sick. And I've taken to injuring myself with such retarderies as touching hot burners and making my finger blister and putting Tiger Balm in my eye.

And just general guh. GUH I SAY! GUH!!!!

I moved out of my old apartment and into one in Portland, so I'm within the city limits now to anyone that might want to visit or vice versa. I probably can next week. These last two have been filled with so much frantic moving and money fiascos I'm bordering on losing my mind. Really, I... can't even go into it.

I drew a sketch in photoshop over on OMG_AS since I can't get to my paper and pens right now. Inked it in Manga studio and used a few grunge brushes I found right here on DA. (Do a search, I used several and some of the resource makers on here do excellent work).

Could use a new Xander Crews and some HB slots still open, among other shows. Character list here. Only thing is you have to be slash tolerant. Doesn't mean you have to love it. Plenty of straight couples or girl characters and eligible men. Just don't go all homophobe OOC if two guys are snogging.

I apologize for not being on here much, but recently my life has really been catching up to me. Not even recently really, but for the past few months. In short, it's left me very stressed and very sick, and it's made me realize that I can't really waste my time in trying to be a professional artist anymore. I'm not nearly settled enough and under this sort of stress I just can't perform. At one time, I could whip out five comic pages a day, now I'm lucky to get one commission done in two weeks.

It leaves commissioners, understanding though they may be, on the sidelines gritting their teeth. And while I do need money, I just can't give them the attention they deserve any more. I'm hereby closing commissions and dropping any 'semblance of being a "professional" artist. I will still do design work for my story pitches, draw the occasional fan art, whip out the occasional story illustration.... but people who want art from me deserve better than waiting forever for it an I know that.

2. Stretch your left arm out as far as you can.
I knock a bunch of shit off my desk. Goddammit!
So unwatch them if you don't want to see it, 'cause some of them are guy guy and I have male watchers and I don't want to blind you. I'm still going to put warnings on them but yeah. Woo. Watch out.

-Later Edit-

Oh, well it occurred to me that some of you might not know how to unwatch scraps. Well that be easy. You see that strip up there with your name on it followed by the log out button and your messages? It's dark gray. Well there's a little person thing at the end of it? See him? He's sexy, isn't he? I know, I'd want to click him too just lookin' at him. He has a green dot he seems rather enamored with up by his his head. Yeah, that's the guy.

Okay, click him and it takes you to your friends list as a drop down. In the top left corner is a plus sign. Click that mofo and go to your list o' watchees. Scaaaan the boxes. Scan them. Scan them. A'ight. Find my name, go to the little arrow thing for scraps, and click it so it's unchecked. Then save your settings.

WOO. Yeah. So that's how you do it. Unless you know you want to see some wierd fuckin' art (some of which has been roaming the interweb already for a bit). I've got thumbnails put together but I'll wait until tomorrow night.

Speaking of which does anyone have any recommendations for submitting into the "Prose" category. Like acceptable file-types and such.

I've been wildly negative on matters of the internet recently, mostly because I'm supposed to have as little stress as possible in my life and between money, illness, crazy relatives, sick relatives, sick pets, and general annoyances like traffic and civil discrimination I've got my fair share. So I really wonder sometimes is the internet all that much of a benefit, and to decide whether or not I should stay on the internet I've been doing a tally board.

Currently the negatives and the positives have tied, and while the negatives still show potential to grow the positives haven't increased all that much since I started doing it. So maybe other people know some benefits to the interbutt that I haven't counted yet. Yeah, I can do without the internet. Done it before and it'll be sad but can easily be done again. I want to know what makes it worthwhile though.

So here's the deal, first <strike>fifteen</strike> ten people that comment with a link to a happy thing about the internet and why this link is so awesome get a quicky sketch request out of me. That's it. Just no repeats and no dA or LJ. I know those exist, I practically live on them when I'm online. Anyway, have at it.
Here ~massive-destruction, there ~nitro-echidna

8) How many pageviews do you have at this moment?
4,389

9) What is your artist's title shown beneath your "status"?
Wannabe Admin because I was a mod at Y! when I got this account and really enjoyed making a difference. Should probably change it to something stupid now...

Think I will when I'm done.

10) What is your most "meaningful" work?
A very very nice person commissioned this from me, an embodiment of their broken heart and victimization. I couldn't pull it off, but it's most definitely the most meaningful.

11) Best COMPLETED piece you ever did?
This is arguably my favorite. Not well-loved in my gallery but well loved by me.

12) Work that took the longest?
Anything with panels takes a while.

13) dA artist who has influenced you the most?
*No-Sign-of-Sanity as I've never been so awed by another artist as I have by him.

14) What is currently the funniest thing to draw?
Spoofs... of stuff... I dunno....

Easiest thing to draw?
Feet

15) Your first ever giftart was to:
Uhhhh... I've deleted it. Probably ~fynomiko or ~bellamaria

First ever giftart received was from:
^guruubii

16) How many clubs are you in?
Just the ~wtf-fangrrl-no, which I want to do more at.

17) How long have you been here?
Nov 6, 2002, 1:38 AM

18) Are you on any other art sites?
Just Hentai Foundry, and only then I update super rarely.

19) Can you remember the old dA layout?
Sorta

20) Are you still as passionate about art/poetry/prose as when you joined this site?
I'm more confident than before, and secure in my ability to draw what I need to to get by.

So I just figured out that I've been on dA for four years and four days. Not on this account but on my old one.

....uhkay.

Uhhhhhhm.

Well here's ten random facts that I've learned since being here.

1.) Fandom is a horrible, terrible thing that spreads with the bubonic plague.
2.) The better you are, the more likely your work is to be copied/directly stolen.
3.) Getting recognition is somewhere between having confetti thrown on you and walking over a landmine.
4.) One out of four people has had some TMNT reference under "shell of choice".
5.) If you don't draw anime, you at least draw things that make you nostalgiac for your childhood.
6.) If you're looking for someone and they're not on Myspace, then they're on dA.
7.) This site has more bondage without actual sex than any other site that I've seen.
8.) Resizing is physically impossible for some users.
9.) The less you work on something, the more likely it is to get attention.
10.) Sometimes you meet cool people.

My foot hurts.

I'm back from the con now. Pretty uneventful. Hi to those of you I saw there, and Chloe had a good time being petted by everybody.

I still have plenty of 3.25 by 2.25 keychains left. If you want a keychain, choose something from the gallery, Paypal sandpuppeteer@gmail.com $7.00 ($4.00 + $3.00 shipping and handling) and I shall mail them out to you.

Pretty much not making prints anymore though. I'll make poster sized prints, but not standard small ones. Nobody buys them and I'm glad I just sold leftover stock at this past con.

Blargh. So much work to do.

I have a lot to do between now and my presentation in October, including working on some real media pieces and doing my comic commissions (see the "to do" list below). In order to drum up a little financial help I made a Spreadshirt Shop.

Every month I'm going to put up a new Immortal Coil Chibi and after three months take down the old ones, so they'll all be limited time releases too. I plan to do every character (and start posting the story).

I'm also going to put up my Savage Soul shirts as I revise and finish them. Right now I have the one I made for the group. So if you take a notion it'd be much appreciated if you stopped by the store, and if you pick something up tell me whether or not they did a decent job. I could handle the set-up at Spreadshirt a little better than I could Cafepress.

I wish I could animate so badly. I keep seeing beautiful things being produced, and it makes me yearn to be able to tell a story. That's all I've wanted to do really, is be able to tell a story that can make people think and feel. From the time that I used to ride the schoolbus home and would tell stories to the younger students to get them to shut the hell up (and they could always remember the stories better than I could after I told them). Directing, producing, drawing, writing, they've all been major interests to me just for that one single purpose.

Not just something that makes you go, "huh" when you watch it or read it, but something that can bring tears to your eyes or make you laugh out loud in a quiet room or theater. That might sound idiotic, but there's no greater compliment given to me than when people look at something and tell me it made them laugh out loud, or that they read a story (or snippet of one) and say that it made them cry.

I found out today about Steve Irwin's death and was depressed. I think =guruubii put it best when she said that he did what he loved his whole life, made a fortune, and died doing what he loved. As much as people might sit back and think, "Well, he was insane, he had it coming eventually," he did more for wild and exotic animals than any other wildlife spokesman.

When you saw him stoop by poisonous snakes, you cringed. When you saw him run after a wild boar to save his dog, you yelled, "WTF!" I'm not saying this to point out his recklessness, I'm saying it to point out that of all people that went diving into the serpents pit he's the only one who actually made you feel the danger that these animals possessed. You would see a crocodile squirm around in it's pit as he wrestled it and you thought it was a dangerous animal, not a mundane lizard on the other side of the screen, sneaking up on poor defenseless animals in the water.

He made you respect them by showing you what danger they posed to him, and that I think was a wonderful thing to do in this modern day when you can CG a dangerous animal attacking a helpless person and you can't take it seriously. What he did was real, and it caught up with him. He showed us that the power and danger of nature was real, and it should be respected as much as enjoyed.

What annoys me though, is even though his wife probably doesn't even know that her husband is dead yet, he's already being made fun of. I completely agree with Spug, who said, "I hope somebody makes fun of YOU as soon as you die." I was just thinking earlier I'd be sad when I saw comedy skits spoofing him, such as Robot Chicken or the Bill Engval Comedy Routine where he was talking about the spitting snakes. They were funny at the time, but they'll bring me no joy now.

And make fun of what they will, but who else would be willing to dive off a boat to save their dog from a wild boar with their bare hands and be willing to laugh about it later? Steve Irwin made the rest of us look like pussies and wore a smile and tiny shorts while doing it. That's a step above anything Johnny Knoxville ever offered me.

I was advised last year to pick up How to Draw Manga: Illustrating Battles. I like to use a lot of dramatic fight scenes in my writing, so it seemed like a good idea. Unfortunately this book had very little of what I needed. It wasn't a bad reference per say, but it wasn't something that I wanted to pick up often or read through in detail.

Today while browsing through the reference section at Powell's I found Draw Fight Scenes Like a Pro by Jeff Johnson. Not only is the author an experienced artist, working for Marvel, DC, and most impressively Cross Gen (which had fabulously high standards of artwork in all of their books), but he is also a second degree black belt who has taught both aikido and kung fu.

It took just opening the book to find it informative, explaining very simply punches and impact. This is very important I think. Most teachers when they show you something new, they spend hours making it more complicated than it should be. Some teachers though can introduce to you very simple concepts and show you the steps to how they work. Ever had an art teacher just throw you in front of a still life and say, "Draw this!" when you have next to no experience? It's always more helpful when they sit down and show you how to shade a sphere, how to shade a cylinder, how to make some random shape and give it depth, and THEN do the still life.

This is a loose comparison to what this book does. Piece by piece it explains how to establish a fight scene, the motion of both parties involved, even how motion affects the folds on clothing. NOTHING EVER EXPLAINS THAT. Different uses of speed lines either in the figure or as background, it even lists how different types of fighting characters would aim for different points on the body and where those points would likely be. Then he takes what he shows and uses in comparison to the work of pages by other artists to demonstrate it in actual practice; Scott Kolins, Brandon McKinney, Andy Smith, Steve Jones, Dan Panosian, Joaquim Dos Santos; and Chris Schenck. Some are even graduates of the Joe Kubert School of Graphic Art.

In short, I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone with heavily action oriented comics. Of course, if you can't draw the human figure yet check out these anatomy studies or Andrew Loomis's advice before you jump into anything more complicated. Or take the advice from all pros and DRAW FROM REFERENCE PHOTOS SOMETIMES.

Critiques: I'm kind of wierd when it comes to critiques, and I have a very two sided view of them.

When it comes to my art, I don't like them. Unless I'm actually outwardly asking about a specific thing I would like to change because something about it disturbs me, I start to bristle when I get one. Nothing personal to the critiquer, they could be quite knowledgeable. But it's like being stuck in a run of the mill job where you're dragging your feet, and then the employee of the month leans his head over the cube and starts telling you how you could do your job SO MUCH BETTER just like him.

I've known good critiquers. I had this teacher named Bill Morningstar, and he was the absolute best. But he had a very good way to go about it. First he would ask something about the hieght of the character, then he would examine whatever it was that you drew weird. Then he'd actually ask you more questions about what your intentions were and everything, get you to spill your guts, and then would correct you and cite examples. He was a GENIOUS. I've also had a lot of fun with red pens, because they say so much more than words to me.

This also makes me very reluctant to give advice. Unless I'm standing right there watching someone draw, I don't want to jut my finger in and say, "Their arm's too long the elbow should be here on the ribcage!" Even then I'd rather enjoy my time drawing with a friend rather than telling them what they could be doing better. They could be drawing like I draw, drawing for speed and purpose, and I often think, "Who am I to tell them how to draw?" So other than rudimentary advice I usually keep my opinions to myself. When I do give it when it's asked for it's usually immediately dismissed.

Oddly enough though, I'm completely the opposite when it comes to writing. While I'll dismiss suggestions to reverse stuff that I really intended and would break the base of the story most of the time I'll take advice given to me, and likewise I'll give advice back in the areas that I have strengths. I am most definately not the most descriptive person in the world in prose (I end up sounding dry and need help), but I have a good knack for dialog and plot. Unfortunately most of the time I can't find any peer to peer reviewers for the stuff that I write. Attribute the dislike of art critiques to ego or stubborness or whatever, but when it comes to writing I am much more open to input.

Last year for Christmas I wrote "A Savage Soul Christmas Carol" which is set after the main story. The sad thing is that I didn't actually get the whole thing complete until July, though I had the rough draft written the week before Christmas because I intended to send it out as a card (and Uennie didn't get hers because it's in an envelope full of returned mail that bounce back here). The problem was that I couldn't get any proofreaders so I had to keep double-checking it every month until I caught most of the mistakes.

I've got a couple of people that I can bounce writing ideas off now, but I find it somewhat bothersome that it took so long to find people. I think it has something to do with a time investment. It's a lot easier to look at a picture and go, "This looks wierd" or "This isn't how I would have handled it" than it is to take a doc file and highlight all the wierdnesses and write up some personal opinion, especially for longer pieces.

Art Theft: A journal by ~bobbin recently has finally given me proof that art theft is not harmless. It is indeed theft. No, if an art thief takes a bunch of other people's pictures and puts them on their website or page and has their little friends swear they're not stealing and it's so wrong that the got accused of it, they don't deserve to be shown sympathy and should immediately be reported with no warnings. You see, we're all told about copyrights and legal issues as kids in elementary school. A very early thing that you have to learn is plaigerism. You don't take things that aren't yours, simple as that. You might as well be busting into a car and stealing someones stereo.

So if you think it's not nearly as bad, let me tell you how it's not. A website isn't garbage on someone's curb, it's not public domain. It's a shop window. You stop by the shop, you look around in it, you go in and buy something or you ask the shopkeeper if you can try on some of their stuff. By taking someone's artwork you're throwing a cin...

First of all, I'm not writing these personal experiences to get any pity. They're merely an example of why I have this opinion and not something that I consider entirely detrimental. In fact I think they've made me a wiser person because of them. But I do hope that they at least make someone think.

I have a great-grandmother, and she is most likely the most heinous, evil, horrible person in existance. She's 104 years old and swears God keeps her alive because she is one of his angels. She would burn my toys if I walked away from them to use the restroom, saying that I left them out. She would do things and blame them on me, which was easy for her to do. I also have a horrible memory and constantly do wierd things, like put spatualas in refridgerators and coke cans in cupboards. Or in one case, put a new pair of shoes in a toolbox that I didn't remember doing so I swore that I didn't, which she used to convince my grandfather I was a liar by constantly citing it in her arguments, and with what little was known of epilepsy at the time he had no idea that it was a siezure related condition. She would destroy my possessions and say that I threw them out. She would steal things out of my room (you wouldn't believe all the dolls they found hidden under her bed last year) but if I came within three feet of the door to her room would accuse me of trying to rob her.

Her favorite activity though was telling me that I was ugly, in the way, and a burden on my grandfather, and constantly pointing out the ways of how I was.

My grandfather could have given me up for adoption, but he didn't. Still I let his mother convince me that I was the worst thing that ever happened in his life. Do you know what he has to do now? He has to carry her to the bathroom every day because she refuses to go to a nursing home, even though she put her own husband in one before he died. He has to cook her very special food and mush it up because she has only six teeth to eat with. He has to clean her nasty butt and is getting married to a horrible person who takes all of his money and is horrible to his children just so that he won't have to be the only one taking care of her and bathing her. The old woman's breasts reach below her waist and her legs are black from broken blood vessels. She's got a nose that takes up half her face, full of wrinkles, and giant ears.

Now I ask you who is really ugly, in the way, and a burden? I wasn't the easiest child to take care of. Sick kids aren't really. And it got tougher and tougher as time went on and I had to be put on more meds. To my great-grandmother, who's own daughter had had epilepsy and was locked away in a back room, it made it easy for her to place all her own insecurities off on someone else.

I see a lot of people that are easy to place blame on and it's easy for them to accept it, because for some reason early on in their life they were told that they were the source of someone's problems. When you're young such reasoning is very easy to accept, but I've also noticed notable differences between those that are uselessly placing blame on others and those being pinned with undeserved blame.

Person at fault:
-blame begins when the person blamed does not embrace some facet of person at fault
-negative view of self but outrageous ego in concern to something else
-if questioned on the matter arguements are usually faulty and circumstantial
-never admit any wrongdoing themselves as it must have been brought on by someone else's influence
-story will change notably
-is very aggressive in their blaming and will often pursue the person at fault until acknowledged, either by directly contacting the person blamed or using others to manipulate the person blamed into contacting them
-often somewhat jealous of the person being blamed

Person blamed:
-usually has some sort of respect that the person at fault lacks, either from a group or an individual
-often has no true idea of what they are being blamed for
-normally very apologetic if they do do something wrong
-finds it difficult to discourage person at fault for mentioning them, even directly
-have some negative circumstance with a parent or relationship where they were made to believe that they were the cause of someone's problems
-usually attempt to resolve the conflict but issues continue to pop up in the future
-end up bearing grudges and suspiciouns that carry over to future relationships

Here we got another one of those multi-point journals.

Point 1) So a couple of my friends tell me that they really like how I do my chibis and I think about doing a chibi tutorial. But you know, there are lots of types of chibis and SDs out there and I only really draw two, so I think, "Well, I'll go to a couple of my friends who do different types of chibis so whoever reads the tutorial might be able to mix and match." 'Cause that's what I was wanting to do, show how different people simplify more complicated characters.

But neither one of the friends really wants to. Not because they're lazy or jerks, but because of really valid reasons. One doesn't want her chibi style ripped off and the other was told that chibis take no artistic ability last time that she tried to do a tutorial. Fucking sad! Not them refusing to do it but the fact that they're right! If I did do the tutorial, either people would be sitting on the other end reading it incapable of coming up with their own ways of doing things or only picking out single bits and pieces of advice they liked or would be saying, "It's easy to do chibis, chibis are stupid."

Noooo It's not easy to do chibis. "Simplifying" something complex and applying it to a functional and recognizable format is NOT easy. And just drawing a cutesy small nosed happy face on a character just isn't going to cut it. You need to be able to apply features in a distorted but familiar look and manage to not make them creepy. It's actually really hard to do. It's quick, it's fun, but it's not easy and it most definately requires artistic ability and inventiveness.

Point 2) I've said this before and I'll say it again. I'm more than happy to work things out, and often I'll go to a friend if I think there's a problem with either one of us and I'll talk things through. Really it makes me feel a whole lot better in the end, knowing that I can work things out. In fact, I really like to do it over messenger or the phone, so that we can smooth it over as quick as possible.

I think the reason that I get so upset by journals about me is that I've had friends that, when I tried to talk to them about things going wrong, they would hang up or log off and wouldn't ever offer to change. Even if it was minor. I get offended that they would think of me as that type of person. And usually the journals are really obscure too, with "a certain someone"s and really vague references to how exactly someone was made angry.

If you're writing a journal when multiple people do something that irritates you, I understand that. Hell, it's what I'm doing now. Or if you're stating your opinion on a subject that everybody knows about and you put the names directly up front. But when I see these journals that are all obscure complaints and you go down and read the comments and people are like, "Oh how mean of them!" and they don't even know really what's going on it's sort of hair-pullingly mind-boggling.

Fortunately I don't stumble across this as much as I used to.

Point 3) What the hell is the matter with some popular artists? I'm not the only one that's noticed this, but there are a few super popular artists that at first glance they seem really awesome. They draw stuff you like, they're into the same stuff, and you think, "Wow! It would be cool to talk to this person." So you comment, and you comment, and you pour your heart out even to their personal things.

But when they finally get back to you (if they ever do) they're fucking jerks. And then you notice their friend's list is full of artists just as popular as them.

Or there's the other end of things. Say you don't like what this artist is into. You'd rather just stay away from them and do your own thing. Suddenly there's a dozen fans telling you that you suck for daring do something that is hurting this artist. And you're like, "WTF?! I don't even look at their page!" Sometimes it's not even their fans, it's them on troll accounts.

Point 4) I hate it when my site crashes. I guess no forum for me until it comes back up.

Thanks to =guruubii and =misskittyoooo for pointing out nifty new things to me.

Guru pointed out how you can put nifty little images at the bottom of your journal. She has one on the bottom of hers and she got the directions from =Zikes, which you can find here. Also with those of you with pesky drama issues that you want done and over with, or just comments that annoy you now that you'd prefer to not see, check out this news post Kitty highlighted to me. It's fantabulous! You can just hide comments or keep them from commenting on your stuff.

Anyway, ~sandpuppeteer took one of my pictures and made it into gold again. It was just a simple quicky line-art I did of Finn Scalare and Gavin Mano, and she colored it into gold. Seriously, compared to my two hours of scribble she made four days worth of coloring out of it, and it looks great. Warning though, it's guy guy fishie schmoop (the figures I'm gonna be using as my footer though, so yeah). I might put it up on my RSS feed later.

I'm sure I'll get used to it. Anyway, in case you didn't know I have an RSS feed that I've been posting random art to, including stuff that I don't post here. I still haven't gotten around to putting up WIPs as I do them, but I'm always shy of showing unfinished work. You can subscribe to the feed here or if you have an LJ account here. I also post resources that I use to make pictures sometimes.

Sara said that she heard of a remake of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah, but she couldn't remember who she heard say that. I absolutely adore that song though (I've always wanted to write a fight scene to it), and I'm wondering who remade it so I can listen to it. I also found a really neat song by Tom Waits called "Cemetary Polka" that has a very Danny Elfman feel to it.

Guh, so anticlimactic. I should be posting a couple of collab colors soon.

Traditional media. I'm sort of sad that only one comic company accepts traditional media anymore. It's disapointing because when I was learning to do comics, I was looking up all the tutorials of traditional artists. It's so easy to use Poser or Google a reference when you're trying to draw something now rather than use the basic rules of anatomy, or to put in a Lightwave background instead of whipping out the knowledge of two-point perspective. I remember painstakingly learning to use pen and nibs and applying line-width variation to my microns and pigment liners when I started using them. And I didn't have a copier handy always, so I had to learn to make the lines as well as possible without having to go back and white-out them.

Now, I'm not saying that digital artists are no less artists. Most primarilly digital artists do a fantastic job with it and it wasn't even until this year that I learned half the things I could do with digital art. And I know people who were once digital art that had illness render them incapable of producing the traditional art they were used to, so they were able to express themselves just as well digitally. I just feel a little sometimes like I wasted my time in learning this stuff. It would have been so much easier to have learned from the beginning the tools I'm utilizing now. I just hope that a bit of my traditional knowledge still shines through.

Defeat of failure. Perhaps part of my failure as an artist is that I've been looking at it too much like "art" rather than "illustration". And the art part of what I like to do is the stories I think up, the ideas behind them. I'm really proud of the hard work I put into my stories, and the pictures I draw are supposed to be reflections of that, like snap-shots of a world or character designs. Kind of like storyboards.

The simple fact is though that it's character that sells the art, so the more work I put into development of character, the more likely I am to sell the idea and the artword. Until then I'm going to view the comic commissions as storytelling practice.

On my last journal. I'm guessing from the lack of response, some people might have been thinking I was indirectly targeting them. Here's what I was really thinking in short. I really hate it when people do a whole lot of contreversial artwork, then lose their shit when they come across some thread somewhere with people mocking it. I mean, I've seen some people deal with it really awesomely.

Take for instance my friend =puppetcore. She gets made fun of a lot, but she continues to post her art regardless and never makes excuses. Because hey, she wanted to draw it, so she drew it. She wanted to show it, so she did. She doesn't expect everybody to like it, but she does it because she knows some people will. She's someone I really look up to that way. That's why I role my eyes when people really lose their crap or try to bring in their ginormous fanclubs on some big interbutt assault.

I also found myself that when I wasn't drawing just to satisfy what I thought other people were expecting of me, I actually started to get a whole lot of better watchers. And right now a couple of people with good contracts out to comic book companies who stopped putting all their artwork online (or at least maintaining clean galleries by deleting older stuff or posting portions of their work). Watermark and/or conserve, always good advice.

Original stuff. I'm feeling very creative lately, which is fantastiche because when I don't feel creative or at least productive I get depressed and stupid. I LOVE working on my ideas. It's like a biscuit for whenever I do a good job. Mmmm fishy sap, air pirates, and rivetheads.

Kumori Con. I won't be at the con itself, which is allright. I want to meet up with people around Portland and stop by the hotel on some day. In the meantime, Spug will be coming up to see me later when she has the money and will be staying for a week. So I can drag her around and introduce her to people and do fun things like go to Powell's bookstore and go to Pioneer Square to laff at the half-stoned idiots and get jiggy with Umbrella Man (god he's so damned sexy).

Too many exceptions. So, lets say if you were on a site and someone repeatedly broke the rules,...

Recently Rhia/Katjak got me thinking move about something I’ve already decided. How much words are worth to you?

You see, every day thousands upon thousands of pictures are uploaded to art communities. Some are cries for favorable attention since some other facet of the artist’s life is lacking that sort of approval. Some are a desire for constructive feedback so the artist can become more and more masterful at their craft. Some are just users wanting to share their pictures with their friends or as a statement.

These art communities are completely free to access, sometimes with accounts and sometimes without, and many times without age restrictive software. When you are posting to these art communities, you are taking a leap of good faith that a.) those who look at your work will respect your intent in posting it b.) those who look at your work will respect your artwork and you as an artist and won’t make a public mockery of it and c.) that viewers will in no way profit from your work or distribute it against your better wishes as creator of that work.

Now here is where we get to the “throwaway” culture that Rhia referred to. As more and more artwork of varying quality by artists of varying validity becomes available, more and more internet users, artists and otherwise, rather than seeing publicly posted artwork as a part of a gallery submissions are instead open to personal scrutiny, regardless of what the artist insists in their description. This isn’t the fault of the internet, but rather a culture that’s existed for decades. How many people have opened their textbooks and seen crudely drawn nipples attached to a schematic of the human anatomy, or a magazine in a medical office waiting room to discover mustaches and eyebrows pen scrawled onto the face of some pretty perfume promoting model. When I was in middle school I remember in the example picture of a “dickie” there was a kindly looking old lady wearing one, and in every single Webster’s dictionary in the library someone had scrawled a penis on her in ball point pen.

There were also the people that would take your sketch books and claim the art was theirs, or the ones who you would give artwork to and they would draw on it or let their younger relatives color on it in crayons and markers. Take the people that would do this and give them internet access to an array of artwork around the world. The artwork that they mock ends up edited in MSPaint and spoofed on websites so that other people that can mock it as well, and the artwork that they respect is stolen to use on faux accounts so they can soak up the positive feedback or used on RP profiles so that disrespectful users can get a type out a lengthy sex scene based on someone wanting to fuck what’s in your picture.

This isn’t a mentality that’s merely exploited by disreputable people. It’s also reinforced in art classes. This is an excerpt of an argument by an artist that they should be able to use whatever they please how they please (unedited complete with misspellings):

“Anyways, the images on my computer are mine to do with as I please. Some people make line art deliberatly inviting others to try their hands at coloring it. I think that is one of the most wonderful things some of the people do. But all the other images are mine to do with as I please. I can take the wings from one image, and add them to a figure from another, or duplicate them into a sort of collage of wing shapes. I have done both of these things. Colages ARE art, its even taught in art schools. So my question to you is, is this art theft? If I have applied my intelligence and skill to create a work significantly different from the original, is it mine to poste freely. Should I document the source of all the pieces of the images so that others know how their pieces have been used, would that be enough? Or should I not post any such artwork to the internet at all. Is the skill of reassembling bits and pieces not the sort of art people want to see here?”

They make a very valid point. It’s not their fault that every teacher and college professor have been teaching them that they can throw together pieces of other peoples photography and artwork and not telling them the difference of free ownership. Likewise many art communities have wording that in no way would prohibit the use of an artists artwork in such a manner. The concepts of found and manipulated art are rarely accompanied by the concept that hard work is made by the original artist to produce the work that they...

I still have one slot open, but in the meantime I do realize people might want commissions and not have $200 to dish out for a full story. So here are some alternatives:

*Uennie is offering a commission sale now for $5 - $15 dollars, which is WAY cheaper than what her work is worth. She draws really beautiful women and has a great style, so if anyone wants to see one of their favorite female characters drawn in a very sexy light I highly recomend her work.

*sandpuppeteer isn't only offering general commissions, she can do fabulous coloring. She colors a lot of my line-art for me, and will spend a week perfecting it if need be. She also needs to pay a bill, and she helped me a lot with my service dog's cancer surgery this past week. Please check out her page if you're considering a very in depth commission or have a line-art that you'd like attended to.

=guruubii and =misskittyoooo are still offering their own commission sales. Guru's keyhole chibis are $15 for up to three characters, and Kitty is selling 5x7 portraits for a $10 flat rate.

Back on the subject of my doggy, she went into surgery on Thursday and her face is still swollen, but otherwise is fine. She had a couple of benign growths on her gums that had been there for a while, but they were really making her miserable and I finally had them removed. Companion Pet Clinic in Beaverton was really nice and helped her out a lot. They're going to see her tomorrow to make sure that the healing is going allright.

I've still got 3 slots open.

My new computer is under construction and should be in the mail on the 28th. I'm going to offer some more line-art up for sale to help pay it off. I've already got a lot of line-art in plastic sleeves left over from SAC con ready to go. I did sell my "I need sex!" song original line-art there, though. I was pretty happy about that.

I did an entry for =guruubii's movie contest:

I also did *Ombyshadow a Danny and Surprise picture. I'll try to get a lot of my other art done before my computer comes, though it's funny watching me try to type/draw on my roommate's computer. It's like putting on a pair of platform stillettos and trying to do ballet.

Thanks for all the random donations, too! Those have really helped out so much. If you're still interested in helping out, paypal it to sandpuppeteer@gmail.com. Hopefully I'll get some sketches up for sale so people can get somethin' back. Nice people deserve things back when they help out people.

Also, I don't know about most of you but for a while there I got really sick of pirates. But recently I found something that reminded me of how awesome they are (actually ~jadiesama pointed it out to me). It's a French student film called Pyrats and I swear to god if more shit like this came out I'd remember why I once liked pirates. Something like that should be made into a full length motion picture.

My computer is dead. Like completely dead. Won't stay on for more than ten seconds. So in order to get a new one ASAP I'm running a short deal on commissions.

10 PAGES OF FULL COLOR SEQUENTIAL ART WHICH I WILL PRINT AND SEND TO YOU FOR $200.

Yes, that's right. I need four of these. Just give me the script or hell, give me the gist and I'll make a short script for you. Paypal the money to sandpuppeteer@gmail.com if you're interested and I'll get started on it as soon as I get te new computer.

If you donate at least please pass on the link to this journal. I'm at wits end here.

And Gateway computers are pieces of shit. I'm glad the company went out of business.

-Later Edit-

Thanks for all the responses so far! I've not gotten any commissions yet but I'll try to sell some old artwork too for anyone that's interested as well for people that can't afford the bigger things.

-Later Edit again-

A couple of people have donated some small amounts of money, which is really helpful and awesome.

$50 with background and multiple characters, give or take depending on detail.
$25 for chibi commissions, multiple characters, give or take a little depending on detail
-$10 for grayscale

I'm usually pretty busy, but if you want a trade from me, please keep these things in mind.

-Unless I ask, I usually expect the other person to do theirs first. That way I don't go overboard on mine and get nothing in return.
-I will do trades for three demensional items, as I am cursed that if I produce anything three demensional it will be destroyed.
-I prefer to do mutual gifts. So if you do me a gift, you can be pretty sure I will return it as soon as I have free time or at a special time of the year.
-I want to build a Trouble Bound website and need more art.
