Just letting you guys know that, no, I am not dead. Hahah... Last week, I came back from Vegas! My parents decided to take me there to celebrate my becoming 21! I gambled (a bit), I drank (a bit- got a Mai Tai!) and overall, I had a great time. I now understand Tobias Funke's desire to become one of the Blue Man Group. I totally want to blue myself.

I have yet to upload pictures from that adventure to my computer, so perhaps I will do so soon. Once I do, expect some updates on DeviantArt. Yayyyy! Unfortunately I have been unable to do so since this week was decidedly "midterm week" at my University. Hahah. Two essays and one exam. I can say at this point, that ~I made it through the wiiilderness, yes I maaaade it throoough!~ although, I do have a reading response and midterm next week, but I'm not as worried about those

Anyway, hope everyone's doing well, and that the Canadians here enjoyed their Thanksgiving!

so. concert. i went to go see death cab for cutie! they've been my favourite band for a good 5 years or so... so, it was pretty damn exciting to go and see them live. the only thing that sucks about these kinda concerts is the dynamics, in terms of being standing-only. i am short, and often, a really tall dude decides to station himself in front of me. siiiigh. so, that was a bit of a problem, but otherwise, mr. gibbard puts on a great concert. he finished off the set with transatlanticism, which was incredible. uuuugh, i wish i brought along my point-and-shoot! sigh.

oh, has anyone ever read 1984? i just finished reading it, and i am so depressed with the ending... sigh. i loved it though. i think it's my favourite book. leave it to the political science majors to love 1984 i wanna pick up animal farm, now!

school is almost finished - we would have been finished by now if it weren't for the strike -_- ah well. if TAs ever threaten to go on strike, transfer schools hahaha, kidding. don't. work will be starting up as of next weekend, so that's pretty exciting! i got a promotion this year, so i'll be working under my work-bff, who also got a promotion. i got the coordinator position, and she got supervisor. so, i'm expecting longer hours... which will leave me exhausted . regardless, i am excited for that!

(un)fortunately, my school's TAs have gone on strike, so i've been out of the classroom for over a month now. i've lost all momentum in terms of working on essays and such, which sucks, since by the time i go back, i'll be a stress-case, who has 3 essays to finish. SIGH.

you know, you'd think that i'd be taking more pictures with not being in school... but it's too cold. i went downtown a couple of weeks ago with , and , and only got a few shots since it started snowing. that was the last time i really attempted it.

with saying that, i think i should also note that i'll be heading on a cruise next thursday i need to get a new memory card before heading out, since my brother and i share the camera - i want to make sure our shots are seperated. ANYWAY, the cruise is going to cozumel, mexico; grand cayman, cayman islands; and ochos rios, jamaica. i get home on the 28th, but i will be heading to ottawa for new years, which i'm pretty excited for! it'll be a weird transition though: very hot to super cold!

anyway, because of that, i won't be active on here for more than a week.

in terms of photography and such, i'm taking a day trip downtown on thursday, so hopefully i'll get some good pictures there to post here. honestly, i haven't had time to do much considering i work about 6 shifts a week, ranging from 5 hours to 9 hours. it's been good to my wallet, but not for leisure activities. sigh. oh well... opportunity cost, i guess.

I've also gone to a couple of concerts, which were definitely fun. In May, I went to the Honda Civic Tour - Panic at the Disco, Motion City Soundtrack, The Hush Sound and Phantom Planet. I mainly went for MCS... I love them . Last Friday I went to The Hush Sound and The Cab. I love the Hush Sound.

Life has been pretty amazing.

As for photography and still, I don't know... I just don't have any motivation. I'm really hating my camera right now, so that has a bit to do with it. Oh well.

It was my goal of the night to make a freaking strawberry, and i epically failed. It took me around 2 hours to finally get a (not even) decent one made. I also made a rabbit, because that's my specialty, and a heart. Even my freaking blueberry looked stupid. And Banana? FORGET IT. Haha... aww it made me a little sad.

School will be over in a month (*runs around like a chicken without a head*), so once May rolls around, I will probably start taking pictures again.

School has been insane. In the last two weeks, I've had four essays due - one on the 13th, two on the 20th, and one tomorrow. I've also had some personal issues, so all in all, these past few weeks have not been fun. I completely shut down last Monday. That wasn't fun.

A part of me, though, doesn't want school to end at all. In spite of everything - the constant work, the boring lectures, I still loved (almost) every moment of it. *sigh*

There I go again with the sighing... I've gotta stop doing that.

So, I have this sucky cold. Now, instead of sniffing a lot, I am coughing a lot. My mom has the same thing, so I guess I got it from her? Meh.

Hmm... in terms of social stuff, not too much going on. A bit of stupid stuff going on with my religion class, but hopefully that's more or less finished. Who knows though? Hahah!

Oh man...

I've got nothing more to say, except that my new favourite drink is the Peppermint Mocha Latte (with lactose free milk!) from Starbucks. It's amazing.

So, exams are finally over! I've been pretty inactive here, because school has left me pretty busy. I had five exams in two weeks, and I am feeling alright about 3-4 of them. I think I bombed my last one, yesterday, Religion, but it's alright-- it was only a midterm worth 20%. I have time to recover.

I've got two weeks off now, so I am pretty happy about that! Finally gonna relax (taaaake it eeeaaasssyyy).

I watched the Spice Girls special last night, cause my dad taped it for me. It made me miss them. I wish I were going to the concert, but I have better things to buy than $115 tickets to the concert. It seems so unjustified.

Oh well.

Well, the official Essay Week is OVER! I have one essay/legal analysis due on Tuesday, but today, I am ~chillin'~. This last week was... crazy. I had an essay due Monday, and two on Thursday... so that was around 30 pages of my rambling about political and religious nonsense. I got tight with Plato, and I proved Socrates as innocent. I don't really remember what my monday essay was about, to be honest. I explained how religion accepted Darwinism and Feminism. Yep.

I spent the whole week with and Alyssa at a local coffee shop~ 7 hours a day, around... we were like the coffee shop bums. It was nice of them to let us loiter and borrow wireless internet (well, the coffee place provides it... it's not illegal.)

I also got this nasty sinus infection/cold that I had to deal with. Not fun.

Yesterday was nice and relaxing. First, I went to my religion tutorial. Then, I got to listen to my friend play guitar (WOW, SIDE NOTE, I JUST TYPED PLATO INSTEAD OF PLAYED... -_-), then I went shopping with and Lots of fun! I got Stephen Colbert's book, which is HILARIOUS. Seriously, I am enjoying it so far. So glad I bought it.

Right now, I am just relaxing and listening to some tunes.

As for photography, I probably won't be updating for a while... I've got too much stuff going on right now (school, predominantly, and social). Oh well.

I hate colds.

Hopefully, within the next month, I will have my wii and guitar hero, because they are too awesome for words.

I have a question for everyone (well, those who I don't know in RL... I guess). Well, for those who are currently enrolled or have graduated from Post-Secondary school. What did you major in, and if given the chance, would you major in something else? If you're not in Post-Secondary school yet, what are you planning on majoring in?

Uh... yeah. This is just out of complete curiosity. I know a lot of people in Psych, and I was wondering what else is popular.

I think in today's world, my major is becoming more and more relevant, especially with with growth of globalization.

Anyways, I am back from New York, and I wasn't too fond of the city. It was very beautiful, but I felt very unsafe throughout the trip; I constantly checked if all my belongings remained in my purse. Maybe I was just being neurotic, but my cousin lost his cell phone at Port Authority a couple of days before, so I was quite wary.

Anyways, school starts up again in 3 days. I am getting pretty anxious about it, but I think I am ready. I got a whole bunch of folders and notebooks, pens, and pencils. I'm good to go.

A couple of days ago, I saw Superbad with . Firstly, I have to say, as crude as the movie was, I really enjoyed it. It's was very funny. Also, I really enjoyed spending time with . She's too cool for school... and if you're someone who doesn't know her in RL or from online, go check her gallery out! Good stuff!

In somewhat related news, I got a phone call last night. It was from Indigo bookstore: the one place I've wanted to work since I was legal to work in Canada. I called back this morning, and got an interview next Thursday. The timing is perfect! Wish me luck, because I *really* want this!

I am going to New York City in a week! I am very excited! Also, last tuesday, I went to the American Idol concert! It was great! I love Blake Lewis.

School starts pretty soon. I have to start getting ready... buying books, folders, notebooks, pens, and more. I can't wait. I went to school yesterday; it took me literally 30 seconds to do what was needed to be done.

Hmm.. I thought my dog was really sick, and I was afraid that we had to put him down, but it looks like he's ok, for now at least. was very helpful in calming me down, cause I was really upset. I like my dog. He's my best friend

So, uh, yeah. I'm really into the floral photography lately. I love doing macro-shots.. Next time I go downtown, which is hopefully soon enough, I will have batteries charged and ready to go, so that I will have a diverse set of pictures to post!
