"Justus 2009 : Late" (Wright/Cruz/Socas/Soriano/Jamilyn/Tochioka are confirmed, a few more possible contributors to come) - I'm so jazzed about this project. Collecting work and wonderies over the last two years, being motivated, flaking-out and now finally here it is, not in its orginally conceptualized release format, but a huge sigh of relief for everyone involved. The hopes is that from this artbook/anthology other projects will leave the nest and mature on their own.

Supporting merchandise will include T-Shirt sporting an original Daylen Wright piece that was initially to be used as promotional art for in-limbo "Supernatural InvAsians!" in very limited quantities --- shirt will be available Friday-only!!!

tarde pero seguro, llegó la hora de relatar algo de mi paso x el ANIMATE08, del q en rdad. sólo quiero contar una anécdota.

fui el viernes de la apertura (era gratis) con dos amigos. mucha gente, mucho calor,… no la mejor de las combinaciones.

la verdad es q habían tantas cosas para ver y tanta gente dando vueltas, q me debo haber perdido de mucho más q lo q vi. pero, lo q si vi, me pareció muy bueno… caro, pero bueno.

pero no importa, vamos a lo q me interesa contar. mi anécdota.

estaba recorriendo los stands sin mirar siquiera de q eran, cuando me encontré con una historieta de Crazy Jack y al lado un libro de La Leyenda del Guerrero, del mismo autor, Meriggi. Crazy Jack era muy corta entonces me decidí a comprar La Leyenda del Guerrero, pero no sin antes cometer el error de decir a uno de mis amigos, “Lo malo de Meriggi es q…” y q va a pasar sino q se aparece Meriggi mismo enfrente mio diciendo, “¿q es lo malo de Meriggi?” no lo repetí, claro, pero si se lo había dicho ya a mi amigo, al q x suerte le aclaré, quién era el q preguntaba xq sino capaz me hubiera bancado en la crítica y quedábamos peor.

lo peor es q me gustan mucho los dibujos del tipo. pero bue… fui y lo “insulté” de todas formas.

cosas q pasan, no creo q se haya enojado. saludos, Meriggi.

bueno, eso fue mi paso x el ANIMATE08 (mucho menos interesante, ahora q lo veo escrito, de lo q me acordaba).

1.- I´m quite tall, 193 cm (6´3´´, is it? Not entirely sure about the conversion). Proud to be tall.
2.- I sleep a lot, more than I should at least.
3.- I miss playing football (soccer), haven’t done it for a long time now.
4.- Love reading, but am quite picky so as to what to read. I do enjoy reading,... (and this takes me to n.5)
5.- …ancient history, I really like. Ancient Greece, Rome and almost every other ancient nation/tribe/people and their culture and mythology.
6.- When drawing I wish I could always have a bag of potato crisps/chips and a coke with me.
7.- I absolutely love alls sorts of comics, manga, cartoons, anime, movies, videogames and even toys (not that I play with toys, but I like them all the same).
8.- I´m currently looking for a job.
