I'm VERY CLOSE to finishing the digital version of the Starbag pattern.  The SVG is going to require some tweaking, but for the most part I have to take on the task of writing the instructions.  I want to have it as easy to understand as possible, so I'm taking my time on it.  I do hope you'll understand.

Creating Sew By Numbers toys is a little different from anything you've done in the past - it's more like designing papercraft.  In putting together the templates, I did everything I could to move the sewing details out of the way, so it would be easy for 2D artists and graphic designers to make plushies.

Since I can't draw, I am going to use this as an opportunity to do some heavy transmedia prototyping/experimentation.  I have been outlining away, and by January 15, I hope to have a complete 80-page story, with links and clues leading to offsite elements, and hopefully a little interaction.  This is my NaNoWriMo, only instead of writing a novel in a month, I'll be making a transmedia experience in (slightly more than) a month.

ARGFest-o-Con and Comic Con were two entirely different gatherings that held about the same level of excitement for me.  The "con" in ARGFest-o-Con stands for conference, not convention - total attendance for this thing is usually in the low triple digits.  So basically I spent a weekend talking to people who love immersive storytelling like I do in quaint and airy Georgia bars, which was awesome and well worth the drive.

I am doing a workshop!  About game artifacts!  These are pieces of art that play the role of a treasure, puzzle, clue, key, or Macguffin in an Alternate Reality setting.  The magnificent Michelle and I will be talking about what makes something an artifact as opposed to a piece of swag, and how to integrate props and sculpture into a larger storyline in a satisfying way.

For the past six months, I've been working on an online plushie - one YOU can print out and make, wherever you are!  The directions and the pattern print out directly on a piece of printable fabric.  Even if you usually don't sew, you should be able to put this together.
