i'm currently doing a thesis about exploring different media for an art/illustrative journal using issues on gender and sexuality as visual theme, the thing is, i dont know where to start! so im hoping you'll be a good fella (since Christmas is coming, and you know what they say about Christmas, its a time for sharing ). i have some questions here im hoping you could answer ASAP.


1. do you have any medium in mind that could be more effective in transmitting emotion? like maybe, watercolor - calm, tranquil, sad. 3d (sculpture, plush, diorama) - strength, comfort.

2. what is an ART/ILLUSTRATIVE journal?

3. can it be feasible to market such journal even though it is more of a personal collection?

guys, thank oyu all for the support.... eventhough im still not that famous and all, still, thank you for the comments and everything... being here on DA surely enhanced my digital art skills... i can see the improvement... and its kinda overwhelming... i started with:

cynet... all messed up [link]
cut class... improper use of ready made brushes (BOO) [link]
nyenna... perspectives are very poor [link]
tofu... unfinished [link]
night elf... colors are not opaque enough [link]
chiaki... poor line art and eye axis [link]
seffent... horrible proportion [link]

but im happy with the improvements... though, i still have a very long way to go...
