Ok, I'm absolutely in love with the Moleskine Sketchbook. It's GREAT paper for mix media drawing!

I'm trying to make it a point of drawing something every day and post it on flickr or deviant art.

The decision to post on both Flickr and DeviantArt is still being debated in my head. Most people I know don't check my DA page, or even know about it.

Unfortunately, DA doesn't quite work like most sites I frequent...I can't e-mail a Deviation via e-mail like I can with Flickr, I can't even submit anything via iPhone...this makes my choices of when to update a tad difficult.

I like to travel a bit and don't always have my laptop with me, but my iPhone goes EVERYWHERE. I could draw something in the sketchbook and post to Flickr in a matter of seconds. Why can't DA grasp this?

Maybe I'm missing something here...

I'm so bored with IT work.

For a long time I've wanted to do something with my drawing skills.

Years ago I was really into comics. I inked for someone but got bored and frustrated with the other artist and felt I had no creativity involved. I drew my own comic called Ballistic Kitty but got too busy with other things in my life like my IT career.

I also considered animation, but the prospects of drawing the same characters over and over and not really having any input into the design was kind of downer. I'm still considering it.

A couple of years ago I started considering becoming a tattoo artist since it takes good drawing skills, the subject matter wildly varies between clients and it seems like a good way to get myself known and express ideas.

It has been a VERY long break since I've done any serious drawing.

Let's get my drawing chops re-sharpened, shall we?
