For a LONG time before March '08 i had difficulties in finding motivation in photography,

1. i thought my photos were too mediocre
2. i had too much of a compulsion to make my art popular

The finest art always comes through constant training. I wasn't ready for much training at all since my life was full of other plans and I felt unsecure of spending a lot of my time shooting photos. Now, as all i've got is free time and free choices, i can really spend a lot of time practicing shooting and getting better at it all.

dA is full of artists that constantly give great inspiration and ideas. Lately, for me, the greatest sources of inspiration have been:

I'd so much like to keep my main journal in dA but WordPress is just so much better and more simple for keeping a busy photoblog, especially now as I head towards eastern Europe and will be updating it probably every day. I'm almost out of school, just two final exams left and then I'll be able to travel freely with my dear Nikon.

I'm travelling to Hungary and Croatia in late March and was thinking if photography accessories are cheap there, anyone know? I tried browsing thru some Budapest camera shop websites but the language was .. like i was reading chinese, seems like the Hungarian language is not even close to any other language I know so we'll see how lost i can get there. I bet I'll just stay at Budapest. Or at my hotel.

of course one thing us humans want is being a part of any community, but that just doesnt feel real enough because we're on the internet. it's the same thing with everything nowadays, i always want the best
so many people seem to be so happy with just supporting other deviants and commenting their work and that's enough for them to keep on hanging around in dA.

Of course I couldn't do nothing but start following it.

I don't know if it's just me, but he seemed to tell a story and there was no-one there to interpret it but me. He looked just like a he, although his actions seemed more like of a she (wanting to be in command of the situation, never getting enough). It looked like he was searching for something that would finally make his day. One bill on the floor, he just checked it out once and went on, that's what he did with everything. Under the door, towards the other room, but he could never get over the slippery sill of the doorway so I had to take action and play God. Some higher power helped him to get over the sill when he would have never expected it, but I think he still didn't realize what it was that helped him. Sound familiar?

That's when he again wasn't satisfied with what he found and started climbing up the wall. He always got halfway up, but fell back down. He tried again and again, still having no clue of what was waiting for him high up. An answer or a solution to his boredom? The meaning of his short, meaningless ant life? The next time he fell down I had to brutally kill him because I got a phone call and I don't want ants searching for answers on my walls. He never found anything worth stopping at. It's good that we humans not quite THAT greedy.

I've been spending too much of my summer in the ant mood. Now I'm trying hard to stop and spend time with things and actually do and achieve something. I'll try to spend the remaining 5 months of 2007 (yes, that is a scary fact) in the workaholic mode and get back to work with my photography and dA, so now it's time for me (AND YOU!) to go through fresh photography all around dA, search for new talents, give feedback, give them unknown artists some favorites&watches and BE POSITIVE everybody

I'm probably going to go (or at least try to go) through all my photos from the last two years or so, and see if I can find something interesting using the method =Sun-Seeker helped me out with, thank you again! All of us like receiving comments about their work, getting favorited so that more people could see your pictures and of course being watched. Nothing else matters as long as you have a lot of pageviews, huh? That's what I thought. I never thought what i really wanted. Now I decided to force myself into making a choice, I either leave because there's no reason to just keep on posting a picture after another, OR, I start being as active as possible in dA. I chose the latter one because I love photography and I hope to make other people happy because of my shots.

All i want to do now is to be a part of this socalled community. Or at least see if it is what i think it could be. I also want everyone reading this to decide what they want to do in dA. Do you want to be someone who observes other people and their work and says nothing? Maybe you also like writing "Thank you" every time someone comments your picture nicely. Do you post random journal entries or just try to get as many pageviews as possible? Is dA just a place to put your best photos in? You have to make a choice, and to have an open mind while doing it. Discussing these subjects brings answers for everyone of us.

As I browse through the new work I see an unbelievable amount of potential. There's so many brilliant shots in only the photography section to browse, that I never feel the need to browse any other. A lot of that photography needs to be brought for the world to see. I can't stand to see all the great work unnoticed and we need to start doing something about it.

I think this post is too long already so let's just see what happens, if i get any responses at all. Every comment is important.. and I really mean it.
