This is just to clear my journal and fill in this space

for my Alien friends, with a hope that if they come across my
attempt of this for them would save me from any kinda abduction.

Meanwhile, my life on this planet Earth is going a bit busy
in New Delhi with a publishing firm, where I draw illustrations
for children's books esp., science books and educational books.
Job is cool but the city seems to be perpetually heated up. sh*t.

I am missing going thru all the stuff here on dA and learning
and seeing stuff... I could find time to come here to a cyber cafe
here and get some favs and reply a few more... I will come back for sure with a big news[most likely, but let's see]

Hi guys,

This is to share with you about the set of lessons or points
that I(must) and you (may) want to remember or recall...

Here they are:

certain points that i learnt in my professional life
pertaining to drawing....


- drawing by design and minimal design

- drawing by elaborate detail...

- composing the drawing so as to make the viewer travel across
the page....

- proportion of the interelated and interconnected elements and those that are not related in the drawing...

- Perspective

- foreshortening...

- searching for the right place...(for sex?? ofc..yeah but alsofor the subject that we wanna draw...

- Cut your fone bill?? Quarrel with your girl friend for a few days..

- LIGHT AND SHADE... (I suck deeeeeep at this)... gotta give a serious learning attempt from resources around on this...

- Torsal twists.... tension in the muscle thru the twists, turns and slights tilts of parts... emphasis on the rythm of the body parts or the
whole line of action...

- Penetration of vision beyond the surface and building up the mass
from within on a flat 2D surface(paper)...

- Composition again - Rule of thirds or such other rules ...

- Contrast.... of shape, (straight opposite), of light, of design for the drama...

- Low angle perspective....use it wer it is necessary...

- LINE IS NOT IMPORANT, BUT THE VOLUME IS... THE FORM, THE 3D GEOMETRY....take care of this and everything else follows...

- when u are going thru a book on arts/drawing... Go thru the text that is next to the drawing as well.... they speak a lot more than the drawing.... i myself skip the text part which the author has explained.....

- This artist dude from disney called 'davids doodle' [link]

"it is just that thought before u draw makes the drawing more clear and
convincing and NOT THE SPEED.... and another quote by the same artist saying...
"Don't be jealous... Be inspired" ... He is also on dA with the same username...
I damn love his works and his words..


- Find your inspiration. Learn from them.... don't feel shy to ask even the dumbest question....(0ne big lesson that i learned)

- BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND YOUR DREAM(S)....People say u are wrong today... give a fuck... seriously... give a fuck to such words.....

i wanted to share these with you as I wanted to share these with you
which may help any one of you in any way... and that i want to keep
the knowledge open to all, because I came across people who don't like to share
stuff with you nor anyone else...cuz of their own goddamn ideas about the future...
they think you could turn into some kinda threat to their profession and so on... whatever... and I share this not that i am any superior in the set
of skills spoken here.... i am a learner ... for a life time... and i have just started to enjoy it a bit or more from my professional experience
and for the most part has been a gruesome exploitation of sorts...

hey guys...

u rock....
i dont know why i suddenly took this up
and talk abt this ... but damn ... wanna say this aloud...
you guys have been there talking to me, patiently listening
to anything i say, trying to teach me, correct me
look at my works, inspire me and then come back again
to support me further... that means a lot guys....
been away from internet for a while and got
busy with life so much that i got a bit cut
off from internet... and a lot of work with my
job here...

and these days when i think of all who watch me and interact with me
over here, i say, it means a lot to me because of two main reasons:

1 - when italk to you, it feels to me tht i need to
come up with a better work next time.
makes it clear to me that i better draw with more attention
care and thought with my next work...
and this whole process over time has helped me becom a better
person and better jobs and gain better skills, both
in drawings and as a human being...

2 - i make or just made good friends with someone new...
and that is anyone from around the world... that is so exciting
to know...

and now, that a friend of mine promised me to gift me a laptop
within lessthan a month.. im just waiting to have it...
he said so six months ago though but ensured me abt it recently again,
and wen i get that i can b online in the evenings after work
and get/do more from the cyberspace

i just wanted to share these thoughts to you all and also let you know
that there are some notes and a truck load of comments and responses
to be replied... I will reply all of them soon....

i truly love ur support... i have done a drawing already and wil
post it soon/suddenly one of these days and another drawing is under plan
thank you very very much as always...

it seems these guys dont want to let the humanity remain in peace...
and thinking that way i figured out that being a bit away from media

Hi all,

I need some information about Yoga courses, abroad.
My friend
Rj (ohyeah! She is special)
is an aspirant of Yoga instructor, here or abroad.

She is currently busy learning Yoga here in India at
some local schools, which only equip you with the knowledge
of it and 'how to do it' stuff in the course.

But there seems to be no dedicated course for Yoga instructors
There are some in India but they are very few.

I would like to know if you guys know about any schools abroad
preferably in the US or anywhere, so that she wants to become
a professional 'Yoga Instructor.' Yeah! we have been browsing the web for these
but then was just wondering if I can get some info from here.

I shall be very thankful if you guys give me any info, that you know.


She has some specific questions about the same:
1. What kinda scope do yoga instructors have in future? I mean do they earn well?

2. Can i get a visa if wanna study yoga/instructor training in USA or any other country as it does not fall into mainstream courses?


I haven't stepped outside India in my life so far, so I don't know much
about these visa issues. So, was wondering to ask you guys.

Please let me know, if you know about it.

I had a bad start today....Woke up late as usual
and discover that there is no water coming in the tap just when i had to take my
bath.... there was some left out water saved from yesteday.. and had my bath with it...
and somehow managed to get ready to work....

my friend Nikin, picked me up on his bike to our office where we both work...
and we set off...just a Km before we reach the office,
while riding the bike, on the fast lane, there came a car from behind us, in an
attempt to overtake us, hit us slightly, from the side and zipped away. That's it.
We lost control and balance and fell down and slided and rolled and hit the 'divider'
and rolled on it again with the bike doing the somersault thingy along with us...
and stopped after some 2 mts away from where the car hit us... The guys who hit us, escaped.


Ok now,

1 - During the somersault thingy, I remember my head hit the ground, TWICE.

First was hitting the concrete road divider, and then plain ground the second time.
I was not unconscious, neither the rider, Nikin. I got up unhurt and realized
We both were wearing helmets.
Honestly, I hate wearing helmets but I do wear. And today I know what it is like. And I tell you
most Indians don't. Neither the police is interested to check this except it is during end of the month.

5yrs ago one of my closest friends Reddy, had the same accident, elsewhere and that was
fatal for him. He left the world on the spot, because he was not wearing a helmet.


2 - Don't listen to music while you are driving. No fuckin music please. I was listening to music
and was lost listening to it, and staring at the wonderful sight around and my friend was riding.

3 - If you guys are responsible for any accident, be bold and go and help them whom you hit.
Please don't hit and run.

I wanted to share this because it was close for me. It was not a bad day but I find we were lucky today.

I came across a story from my friend back home, about how the 'marketeers' run the whole thing.
I believe, This applies to anyone in the world.
Cuz, it is a small world after all.

I can't stop to share this story that was told to me by my friend Adi, and then a year later another friend of mine, Milan mailed the same story to let me
understand the one of the main ideas behind all the havoc. I'm not sure if this story already exists anywhere else. If so, please lemme know.

Here is the story:

The Monkey Business:
"If you have difficulty understanding the current world financial situation, the following should help...

Once upon a time in a village in India , a man announced to the villagers that he would buy monkeys for 10 bucks. The villagers seeing there were many monkeys around, went out to the forest and started catching them. The man bought thousands at 10 bucks, but, as the supply started to diminish, the villagers stopped their efforts. The man further announced that he would now buy at 20 bucks. This renewed the efforts of the villagers and they started catching monkeys again.

Soon the supply diminished even further and people started going back to their farms. The offer rate increased to 25 bucks and the supply of monkeys became so little that it was an effort to even see a monkey, let alone catch it!

The man now announced that he would buy monkeys at 50 bucks! However, since he had to go to the city on some business, his assistant would now act as buyer, on his behalf.

In the absence of the man, the assistant told the villagers: ' Look at all these monkeys in the big cage that the man has collected. I will sell them to you at 35 bucks and when he returns from the city, you can sell them back to him for 50 bucks. '

The villagers squeezed together their savings and bought all the monkeys.

Then they never saw the man or his assistant again, only monkeys everywhere!

I started to think of this sketch of mine,
' The Domain' after coming to know / following the incidents that happened here.

It is that, in a part of my state, farmers had to fight for their lands and their source of living that have been snatched by the powerful pharmaceutical corporate giants and the political forces. The government had to provide 1000 acres of land TO these pharmaceutical companies (FROM these farmers) without properly providing the farmers appropriate compensation and mostly seizing their land by force and killing or jailing them by local political forces and rowdy sheeters. It may sound like a typical south Indian superhero movie but that's the truth in real life where there is no super hero to save their families who lost their acres of land and lost their loved ones in period of an overnight to a week's time. One part of the society is gaining benefits of industrialisation in this area, employment, commercialization and in other ways are damaging the environmental part by producing harmful chemicals from these manufacturing units or whatever is set up there. And in the process a lot of people have to lose everything to build this for the benefit of some other part of the same society. A biased growth. And a failure of their efforts to protect their very own property. Should every victory and success involve slavery and crime?!? If so, do we call it progress!?

yesterday i learn t a good lesson in design while chatting with a fellow artist in my studio...
it could be very basic for everyone but it sounded really eye opening to me...
There are certain ways/approaches of design....
- Design by detail.... (idea is kinda straight ahead one)
- Design by idea....(tricky one. to evade labor or to cheat or to save time)
- Design by Detail+idea (both above)
this point helps me visualise in an effective way everytime i take up a subject to draw...
but in the end i tend to freeze the Design by detail+idea as my approach.....
Often or not so often, to realise one small aspect one needs to go through so much of art experience, usually years of exploration/learning, to me especially. The above approach particularly is a nice example for that. Damn it.... lol....
