I hadn't logged into my email account for nearly 4 days and today I thought shit i better go take a look.

Then I found an email saying that I had won first prize in the photography competition a D90

omg omg i still can't believe it! It's like a late Happy birthday hahahahaha

P.S and thanks so much to everyone that sent me notes and wishes for a happy birthday it really means a lot to me more then you now for that time of the year is very hard for me.... I miss my mum so dearly not one day goes by when she's not in my thoughts!

My daughter and I got so excited when i was approached by a publishing Agency earlier on this year.

They said they are very interested in purchasing some of my photography for the cover of a novel that won best Irish novel debut. " With My Lazy Eye" By Julia Kelly

Of course I said yes and i'm so happy to show you all the result!

This new novel can be purchased very soon i'll be sure to share the release date when I find out more!

I've entered that same comp three years running and every time I got my self into the grand finials with the hope of winning $10,000 or the local store prize but didn't succeed .

Well this year I did it woohoo my daughters and I won the Camera and a printer

I got two of my images into the grand finals again this year just like last year

One of my youngest daughter >

and one of my oldest daughter ....This was the big store winner >

Now that i've got that one step further I'm now in the draw for the $10,000.
The comp is run Australia wide so there are 59 Centro stores in Australia i think..so all the winners from each of those stores will also be in to win the 10 grand.

It's funny to think I made it into the winning 59 or so photo spots when more then 250,000+ images get submitted

I was kindly sent a link from another DA member showing me this site that tracks any image you like.... Hows it done? It records the pixels and finds what your after instantly even if someone has manipulated your image or removed your watermark!

I've found many of my images for sale so yeah i was shocked but then tell you the truth not as shocked as i would have expected I guess you just get used to fucktards ripping your work off it's just another one of those things

PLEASE NOTE IT CAN TAKE UP TO 8HOURS TO GET A PASS! and trust me it's a LONG wait but trust me well worth it

These are the prints that I had for sale at the Brisbane Pet And Animal Expo this year.

There all around 8 x 10 inches in size and mounted on sticky one sided Foam Core ready for framing or you can stick it straight onto the wall with the double sided Velcro that was applied to it when on show. So there all ready to go to a new loving home if any one is interested.

Every single print is a very low $8 This is how much it cost me to put them together. Then all I ask is for you to also cover the cost of postage.

I'm more then happy to go down on the price if need be but will not go below $5 per print.

I'm so happy and proud of myself and I can honestly say I still from this day have not had one of those so called " sneaky cigarettes behind the corner" nor a puff of the stinky things tell you the truth I gag at times from the smell of smoke and turns me off my food so thats a good thing I think

The hardest thing I had to come to turns with is the weight gain that comes with quieting I put on nearly 10 kilo not that I didn't need any of that it actually made me look a bit more healthy (thats what people told me anyway) and not like a bag of bones.
But yeah it's the biggest I've ever been in my life so I had to get used to that life change and try and keep active and fit so my weight gain slowed down. It's all under control and settling down but my boobs are shrinking again FUCK IT

So yes it's true what i was told.... you put on weight for about 10 months then it starts to slow down again

My health feels much better so much more energy (that's when i use it Craig's for ever saying he can help me out with that part smart ass )

Yes I'm Still Here

ItÂs been a very hectic 3 weeks running around like a headless chook trying to do 4 jobs then finally slowing my arse down in the back of an ambulance being rushed to hospital All is ok but some results I did not want to hear but life goes on!

I guess I can call myself a nonsmoker now for itÂs been 12 days with no smoking not even a puff or a nicotine patch just good old cold turkey AND SHIT I FEEL GOOD FOR IT!

So folks we are fans and mothers of fans of "The Littlest Pet Shop" toys and we are trying out some fun and inventive shots of them.
So go through your kids toy boxes or take them off the shelf if you collect them put them in a setting and take a picture.

what's been happening in my neck of the woods....

My dear brother has a very rare disability and over the last few months our family has been fighting very hard for my brothers rights to have a better guilty of life like a 27 year old man should. For months I've been told I have no right to my say. This has now changed we had our hearing and I'm so happy to now be my brother's guardian .... here's to bright new beginnings ahead.

It's been 4 months with no smoking woohoo and yes still with not one puff. I'm feeling so much better no more huffing and puffing when I run. My asthma is so much better as well

Putting The ÂArtÂ Into Artistic Nudes Part 22 (MC)

Woohoo IÂve made it to 1 month with no smoking at all And to tell you the truth I think IÂm over the hard part for I no longer have that craving feeling any more.

It still spins me out how I went from thisÂ. Âstarted smoking at the age of 15 started really heavy at 18Â. I would wake up light a smoke have a morning cup of tea then light up and again and again every half an hour until my head hit the pillow this happened for 13 years Â

From that to ÂÂÂÂÂ 0 ÂZeroÂ ÂÂÂÂ

While IÂm on the subject go over and give a poke of congratulations as well for his on his 8th day of no smoking [link] and after doing it myself I know just how hard it is and the more support you get from friends and family the more easier it makes it all feel

OMFG I am so F**KEN EXCITED

I entered a competition called Smile With Centro [link]

All I had to do was submit a photo that would make someone smile and to be in the chance of winning $10, 000.

The competition was held in 53 stores around Australia.

Out of each of those 53 stores they received over 22,000 photos! And only 20 photos are picked from each store to go into the grand finals.

I just found out today that Im one of the finalists for my area OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Artistic Nude or IMPLIED

I came across something very very interesting today.
I was browsing the Artistic Nude Gallery today and found so many submissions in there that where in fact not nude at all.
Such things as models in dresses, bikinis, jackets off of shoulders and bra and underwear etc.
To me I dont find that to be an artistic nude for there not nude. I see that as Fashion or Glamour Portraits. When you submit a deviation under fashion it says this

Gallery Description
Gallery: Fashion Portraits
Photos where the focus of the image is on the clothing style the model is wearing belong in Fashion Portraits. Fashion Portraits are more aligned with magazines like GQ and Vogue and adds from Polo, Calvin Klein, and Prada, and should not be confused with Glamour Portraits, where the emphasis lays on the model, as his/her self, looking beautiful, or desirable. Fashion is about the Bra , where Glamour is about the breasts.)
So there for I was right to think what I did hmmmmmm

So I decided to kindly leave my 2 cent comment and tell them it didnt belong in the artistic nude gallery and to Please read the Artistic Nude Gallery Description very carefully before submitting there work.

One person commented back to defend there actions telling me why they had submitted there deviation under Artistic Nudes .and low and behold I ate my words on the matter! I was in fact in the wrong.

This is where the word IMPLIED comes into the story!

If you submit work into the Artistic Nude Gallery at the very bottom it says this.

Gallery: Artistic Nude
Original and artistic photography of a nude human subject; partially nude, or implied, in an artistic setting or style. Photography should not be manipulated in a digital editor outside the confines of what can be achieved in a classic darkroom or through the use of classic filters. All photographs must be of an actual human. Photographs of a statue, sculpture, drawing or any other artistic or non-artistic representation of a nude human subject must not be submitted in this category. Any non-artistic nude photography, highly digitally manipulated photography, or photography not using the male/female form as the main subject, will be removed without notice. Any photograph where the subject is determined to be under the age of 18 will also be removed without notice.

You can indeed be fully dressed not be naked in any way at all and you can submit your deviation into the Artistic Nudes gallery.

If I take a photo of myself with my shirt / jacket on and a little off my shoulder or even my naked legs and a little knee showing this is classified as an IMPLIED nude. My legs or shoulders are naked right use your imagination I have no bra on under my shirt? So there for I can submit this into Artistic Nudes and not be in the wrong!

IMPLIED is a very strong word and can be interpreted in so many ways.

My question is

Should this word IMPLIED be removed from the Artistic Nude write up description?

Ive had a talk to the big knob about this IMPLIED word and now the Artistic Nude Gallery description has been changed!

Please read the new description guide lines below.

Artistic Nude:

Original and artistic photography of a nude or partially nude human subject in an artistic setting or style. I've had one of those weeks that just don't stop

On Tuesday i woke up to have my nice hot morning cup of tea and it tasted so goooood. So I make another sit back down and go take my very last sip and what did i find in the bottom of my cup two big brown feelers and a ugly looking head it was a friggen cockroach A BIG BLACK ONE

I spewed my guts up all morning every time i saw my cup so i made Craig throw the thing in the bin I always had nightmares about this happening and it came true

Yesterday was such a big day so full of new challenges so exciting

I had to be at work at 11.30 to take photos for a TV commercial and i got lost!
I was shitting my pants thinking omfg if i'm late this whole thing is going to be my fault and its going to cost this company so much friggen money

I had 1/2 hour to find this place and the clock was ticking i smoked half a packed of smokes in 1 hour i was packing my dacks big time!

I found the place just in time 11.27

I had to get up on a cherry picker I had no idea how high those things got until i reached the top it just kept going up and up and up.
The View was AMAZING

I'm sure by now you all know how much i my clouds so i had the perfect moment to take some wicked photos while i was up there.

So in the next few weeks look out for a commercial for Brisbanes RVs

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST ......... My 4th DD wow

The thing that spins me out more is that we got on the second page of the magazine. Then inside we got a double page spread

So i went to the shops today to get this magazine to take a look for myself I couldn't find it in there hmmmm i bought the damn wrong one and the one i was after was all gone. So I went around to every bloody news agent I could find asking them if they had any left. This one lady said Ill go take a look out the back and bingo she had 2 copies left

I open to page 88 and this is what i found

The Official BumpBar Stamp!!

It only felt like yesterday when i did this same kind of journal about Little Miss And Snowy dying.

Well today we lost another one of our very beautiful family members
his name was Pickle ..... the guinea pig

We had him for about 2 and half years and boy did he get upto mischief like running around the back yard free and never letting us catch him with out playing a game of chase first. He even found Craigs dread locks very tasty aswell he loved hanging out on the trampoline and playing hide and go seak under all the washing.
He would come up to you and give you a kiss and even try to climb up the side of your pants

We will miss our dear little Pickle very very very much
