I think I'm out of my self-made slump. I'm sure once the FKMT book is published and I can get it out to everyone, my mind will feel much more lighter.

The Valkyrie Profile Rufus x Alicia anthology I participated in will be out in the coming month or so. I'm excited to read everyone's stories! (Speaking of Valkyrie Profile, my VP DS game just shipped from Amazon! Aaah, I can't wait!)

Word from the data recovery guys: My HDD is pretty much screwed. As lame as it sounds, (and I've groaned too many times to friends) it really does feel like a part of me was ripped out. My whole art/photo life was on that thing.
Right now they are extracting the data, which will take a month or so. They explained it'll be recompiled to see what was saved. If nothing can be recovered--at least it'll be one less major expense to not worry about in the months ahead. :/ Not really hoping for that, of course.

I haven't updated my site in months, but I hope to change that within the next week or so. It won't be so bloggish after I fix it up.

...But I've been really digging Twitter! It takes forever to figure out what to write for my blog, but this just lets me drop bits here or there. It's an easy way to keep up with the news as they happen, and chat a bit with others.

1. I share a name with a pornstar. Every month my website stats' search engine terms are filled with "Tracy Williams porn/DVD/nude." orz
2. I share a name with an EXCELLENT painter/artist. I'm so sorry to those that try to find her but hit my site.
3. I know I've been drawing a lot of (FKMT only) male slash, but I prefer reading/buying yuri. (But there's a severe lack of good, non-cliche, and non-porn ones.)
4. I don't even really like fandom slash. Only from Fukumoto's series. (Super Fukumoto Homo Powers, turned me into a fujoshi, etc)
5. I love nature, trees, etc, but I prefer to live in large cities that seem to lack those. (lol)
6. I love reading non-fiction and opinion books.
7. I like to collect how-to-draw-anything/make-comics type books. But I don't really read them all...

Superheroes! is out! It's 36 pages standard comic size anthology with great stories by Alison Bailey, Mechante Fille, Skylark97, and myself.

As the mainstay of American comics, it seems only appropriate that we pay homage to the genre at least once. So, suit up in your spandex, and dig out those world domination plots, 'cause we're flying at the speed of light into the world of superheroes. Featuring two boy's love short stories, one girl's love short comics, and one general short comic.

My story, "Ricochet Family," is a short about the son an infamous hero/villain lesbian couple. Yes, that sounds pretty silly, but it's not really about the moms anyway! Samples here and here.

Volume 3, Issue 17 is open for comic submissions! It's easy to create an LiveJournal account and join in the fun! See your work in print!

About the Theme: What we're attempting to do here is recreate the experience of pulling a random magazine from the shelf. PINK! is a shoujo magazine featuring original English language comics as well as articles, reviews and everything else you've come to expect from a girl's comics magazine. All comics are in the middle of their run, so it's going to be a challenge to the artist and writers to make their comic readable to an audience that hasn't seen the preceding chapters. A note on pairings -- while the previous anthologies have been boyslove/girls love friendly, for this anthology we're going to try to be as straight as we can. That's not to say a little boy/boy, girl/girl won't slip in (what shoujo series doesn't have a little bit of that somewhere), but it generally shouldn't be the primary focus.
