I am back.

And boy, do I have pictures. I'll try not to put ALL of them up.

Why you ask? See the subject of my journal? That is the round number of how many pictures I managed to take in a month and a half trip.

Oi.

So, it will be a long, slow process as I find the time to slowly edit, then upload the photographs I wish to display.

In between putting my house back together and fixing up a bookshelf (yay! bookshelf! SO badly needed...)...

Yup. Here I am and here I go.

I am incredibly excited.

Off to travel I doth go. Another part of the world to see and be explored...

Starting the last week in May, I will start traveling. I will be going to a wedding in Montana, USA. And then! AND then! And THEN!

I will be going to Australia!

I will be going to New Zealand!

I will be traveling for almost two months! That means lots and lots and lots of photographs will be starting to make their appearance starting sometime in August. It also means that I will be on here incrediably sporadically, so have patience when waiting for any responses from me.

Re-Arranging House and Home

So...

Deviant is allowing us to play with how our galleries are arranged...and play I will.

It will take awhile, but I am going to be working on it. It is a process of deciding just HOW I want to do this...

One thing that is for sure, the same photographs are going to be in multiple "folders." Who knows, maybe it will actually help some of them GET exposure.. *grin*

So, with the time off I have coming, and with nothing to do other then capoeira, broadsword, and hiphop, this rearranging should hopefully move pretty fast...

As long as I don't get too distracted by all the books that are just waiting for me to read... <---------Massively, truely, completely distracted by books as of 12/22/07.....oi.

I've been painted. *blinks* I have always been curious to see how an artist would paint me.

When asked for volunteers for portraits, I went for the plunge. And even if I say so myself (being the subject and all), I think he did a great job. ...'Tis an odd feeling seeing a painting of yourself (and then try reading the comments...).

And that ends my Europe 2006 photograph run. You can all breath a sigh of relief now. I know I am.

I will eventually put up some other photographs, but they will be rather different the majority of the stuff I have now. I guess I will see how that goes over.

Right..my first journal. But for incrediably practical reasons! *grin*

Mood: The Band Wagon!?
Reading: The Skystone

In case you haven't noticed, I have a ton of pictures uploaded in my gallery and more will come in a few months time. This journal is going to be used to give you all an idea of just what I have uploaded in recent times, as I do my uploads in large chunks.

The first chunk I did were all pictures from around 2003-2004, spanning the UK, Turkey, and Switzerland. Nothing overly repitive in that batch. There were/are also pictures of Alaska, from various years.

The second and most recent chunk was from my recent trip to DC. You will find a large selection of cemetaries and tombstones. Pictures of buildings also abound. And trees, flowers, and petals. I feel the need to explain...When one doesn't see something (ie flowering trees in April), one (or I) take lots of pictures of said something when it is seen, because I can't get over my amazement. So, if you become weary of pictures of pink flowers and or petals, I apologize most profusely, but I must ask you to bear with me.

I am in the process of trying to get some pictures made in to prints. I am still trying to get my brain around the logistics and manner in which to do this, but i have advanced a step or two. If there are any pictures that you think would make good prints, please feel free to send me a note with your recommendation. I am discovering that pictures that I often think are my best don't get recognized, yet the ones I am not overly fond of draw lots of attention. Tis an interesting paradox.
