Finally I had some time to do a new set of art-shoots and the first thing I decided to do was to upload my two new series (Hot & Cold and Orgasma squared) to Deviantart.

And once again some a**hole thought it necessary to report at least one of the pictures to the admin's !!! I've just about had enought and I'm seriously thinking about quitting Deviant-art alltogether !

The picture that was banned "Orgasma-squared 6" was in the same style as the rest of the series. It showed one of the girls with her face in between the legs of the other. Sure it implied "something" but it was photographed in such a way that ABSOLUTELY NOTHING was visible (not the girls vagina and not even the mouth of the other girl !!!). If this was banned, then why are some other pictures by other photographers where a true "insight" into the models vagina left alone ?!?

To the f**cker who thought it necessary to inform the admin's ... what the hell are you doing on DeviantArt anyway ??? Ever heard about artistic freedom and respecting other people's vision (and not just mine but the vision of the many people who "favorited" this picture)?!? If you don't like it ... look at something else and leave other people alone. I do it all the time.
To the admin who actually removed the picture ... think again my friend. Is DeviantArt becoming a site who succombs to the wishes of the one (fanatic) or does it "go with the times" and follow the majority of it's silent admirers who DO appreciate a certain picture ? And take a long hard look at your "rules", there is definitely something rotten in the state of dA.

This may very well be my last post ... I'm still thinking about it !

UPDATE...UPDATE...UPDATE...UPDATE...UPDATE...UPDATE...UPDATE...

Despite the incredible amount of positive reactions to this journal entry yet another one of my pictures has been removed !!!
The same comment is relevant to this picture as was to the previous one (no vagina, no face, just the "implying of".
I'm getting the distinct impression someone is having quite a bit of fun with his own "crusade".
But thanks to the many, many men and women who have reacted so positively and encouragingly (is this a word ?), I've decided to stick around !
Some of my pictures will be reserved to my own website (www.trendmakers.be) but I refuse to cave in to the reactions of one very sad individual.

To the person who dislikes my pictures : get a life of your own so you don't have to interfere with other people's. And if you don't like what you see, look away !

To the admin's of DeviantArt : take a look at the many reactions on this post and think again next time you let yourselves be influenced by one pitiful individual !

Greetz and thanks again to my many kind friends !!!
PATRICK

A story about the opinions of the few that outweigh the "favorites" of the others.

I've made a mistake ... and I apologise for it.

I apologise to all the people who added me to their favorites, collections and/or watchlists and have now suddenly seen that quite a few of the pictures they seemed to like, have now disappeared.

I had indeed uploaded a few pictures (6) that seemed to balance on the edge of what was admissable by the rules of our beloved DeviantArt. I assumed that the people on here were open-minded, art-loving individuals that did not let themselves be influenced by suburbial do's and don'ts.
I was sure that everyone was able to distinguish between "the letter of the law" and the intent and actual look of the pictures I posted.

I was wrong, obviously. Apart from the fact that (very) many of you ladies (!) and gentlemen seemed to like the pictures and were enthousiastic enough to let me know - for which I thank you all - , a (very) few seemed unable to see the art and merely saw the more explicit nature of the pictures.

In itself this would have been understandable, were it not that, instead of simply not looking at the pictures, these (very) few imposed their thoughts onto everyone else. And as if that wasn't bad enough, they had to accompany their egoistic opinions with insults and general agressiveness.
I have of course deleted these peoples remarks (and very politely answered to a few of them), but still I find it troubling that once again the opinions of a few people have influenced the tastes of others.
And I found some of these peoples remarks to be FAR MORE AGAINST the DeviantArt rules than my pictures were.

But maybe I should see it as a compliment ... so many writers, painters, photographers have been banned by "the moral minority" only to become more popular because of the ban.

My conclusion ...

- I respect the opinions of others, in a better world everyone would.

- I respect the decision of DeviantArt to remove the pictures, it is after all their wonderful effort that brings us all together. Too bad they have to adapt to the few "lesser minds" as well.

- I thank everyone who seemed to appreciate my work. To those ladies (yes there were a lot of ladies !) and gentlemen I would like to say that the pictures are still available in my book on [link]

- I will be uploading new work shortly ... please be so kind as to read the above BEFORE reacting.

Yours sincerely,
PATRICK - TRENDMAKERS - DESOMER
